Great location and beach. Staff was friendly and quick to answer any requests.

The property was a beautiful property located strategically close enough to beach clubs with loud music and far enough to have a relaxing time if required. Still walking distance from all the nice clubs and restaurants. Do yourself a favor and make sure you take a room with all view of The ocean. Sunrise is just stunning in Tulum.

This property is Amazing, the white sandy beach is beautiful!! Service is excellent and the penthouse was just marvelous!! Overall Amazing Vacation!!

Lovely property on the beach

We spent just two nights at La Zebra to bridge our extended stay in the area and it was lovely! Juan Carlos, at the front desk, took great care of us from minute one. He was attentive and kind, and a great rep for this property. We also interacted a bit with Esteban at the front who was great as well. Jose and his crew made quick work of our (very heavy) suitcases, and got us situated in the parking lot. And lastly, Roger took care of us at the beach! The property is very charming, perfectly located on the quieter side of Tulum Beach, and a wonderful intimate setting to kick off our month-long trip.

Stayed before. Not again.

Excellent restaurant and hotel service for this aging place. Bedspread was ratty. Sinks cracked. Five new layers of paint can't cover things up. Worst part is that they've turned their beach and beach bar into a "beach club" with people bringing their own boom boxes, parties, etc. That's great up the strand at the nonhotel beach clubs but not at a hotel with expensive rooms. Don’t get me wrong-we like clubs like Ziggy's but not at our hotel.

My husband and I enjoyed our time spent at this hotel in Tulum. The beach club was a highlight with comfortable lounging beds, attentive staff, and delicious drinks. The property is well-maintained and the restaurant, common areas, and hotel room are beautifully decorated with wood furniture and colorful linens. We were greatly appreciative that all the employees of this hotel were hospitable and kind.

We had a great experience at La Zebra which is located right on the beach. Employees were very welcoming and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. The restaurant onsite was tremendous. Would definitely return.

Absolutely wonderful staff, old, decrepit hotel

Incredible staff, absolutely lovely people. Very tired rooms and property, water and fridge leaking in the room se we woke up to a wet floor. During our stay, Atlantic Typhoon Nadine moved in so we asked if we could get a voucher for the two days left in our stay and leave the area since it was unclear if it would turn into a hurricane. The admin department was completely uninterested in our request and were told there was no chance of any courtesy concession due to the storm. It became a matter of public safety se we checked out early and left for Cancun to avoid any risk of being stranded in the low lying areas . Again, I stress wonderful staff but bad property conditions and even worse management staff.

Wonderful staff, food was delicious and service was excellent. Clean, convenient. Close to other shops and bars and restaurants. Yoga class was amazing and spa was perfect. I recommend booking this place if you are considering Tulum

Very nice calm and relaxing vibe. The room with the pool was real nice. Its also can be HEATED too! Spa service was elite put me to sleep worth the price for 60min. No issues in the room overall I would def return again

Beachfront Mescalitas!

The hotel was wonderful, the staff were extremely friendly, and the facilities were wonderful. It is expensive, but so is Tulum in general. Definitely will be back!

The staff was outstanding. Went above and beyond. Check out was at noon which is a nice change. We loved the patio and little pool THAT CAN BE HEATED! That’s a big thing, most small hotel pools are almost too cold to use. Our room was very large, the shower and bathroom as well. The restaurant is one of our favorites. We eat there everytime we go to Tulum. The beach beds are shaded by mini palapas, all had tables and pillows. Comfortable! They are roped off so you aren’t inundated by beach sellers. I didn’t think I was going to care for the rope “fence” but found I didn’t mind it. They have free dedicated guarded parking. Very interesting art. Little wood playground for kids. Slept like a baby. This hotel is right on the beach and every room seems to have easy access.

The staff were accommodating, very clean. My stay there was short I had to leave due to personal health reasons. I do have to say the mosquitoes nonstop biting. So take some strong bug repellent.

Dream vacation. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. Every staff member was exceptional; from the check-in to the the wait staff to room service. The facility was magnificent. Our room was lovely and well kept with filtered water and coffee being replaced 2x/day. Restaurant was great. Beach was incredible. My only complaint was that the plunge pool on our porch needed to be turned on by staff; no big deal. Prices were high but no higher than the rest of the resorts on the strip.

I have traveled all over the world and have never received the customer service like we did at La Zebra. From the moment we walked in it was a full service minute to minute journey that was amazing. The staff is beyond accommodating. Would never stay anywhere else in Tulum than La Zebra

The hotel was nice, the pool a little hidden, room was very comfortable, the beach this time of year was perfect but I was very disappointed with Tulum itself. I travel a lot all over the world and never have I spent so much on food and drinks...ridiculous. Tulum also has one road which is filled with pot holes and the only way to get to restaurants for pedestrians and cars, Tulum is definitely way over rated and way overpriced, Never again, it is like being robbed with a smile. No thank you.

This property is located in the sweet spot on the main strip in Tulum where it is quiet enough on the beach side that you don't hear too much loud noises yet it is walkable to all the main attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The staff was very accommodating and it is simply just a haven tucked in Tulum. We did the complimentary Mezcal tasting by the beachfront. Our room was amazing...a stone throw to the beach which also came with a private cabana that we can use any time during our stay. Overall this hotel is great for relaxing and enjoying the ocean view. 5 STARS!

The service is really bad for a small luxury hotel, you have to go to order, they don't come back to pick up your glasses or plates. The staff is not helpful at all, anything you may ask or request is a NO for an answer. The rooms are nice but be aware of the bad service.

From checking in to checking out, everything was perfect! Front desk is extremely nice and helpful. Our room was beyond amazing! We had a plunge pool ocean view room, which is literally on the water. We did not even need flip flops to walk around. You walk out of the patio and step into the ocean. Room was very big, everything is eco friendly. Loved it!

Clean rooms and love their services. Staff very friendly. I just wished they honored my benefits as a platinum member. I wasn’t offered a room upgrade since they said I’m a gold member / VIP only and need to be premium VIP or platinum.. i showed them the app that says I’m platinum and still didn’t offered or look for an availability of room upgrade.

Love this property. The staff, the location, the beach! It’s a sliver of paradise in Tulum. Prefer this area to Riveria Maya due to the little town in the beach area. You can walk to restaurants and shops. The staff at the hotel is very responsive and they work hard to ensure your needs are met. After several Long Beach walks, this property seem well kept compared to others along the Tulum beach strip. It’s also a bit quieter than some of the other properties meant more more the 20-30 something singles.

This property was a 10/10 all around. Each villa has a beautiful view which is nice. The restaurant on-site was actually some of the best food we had in Tulum. The best Barbacoa without a doubt that we’ve had anywhere.

The location of the property is great and the staff goes beyond your needs to make sure your stay is relaxing and pleasurable. The food was delicious and for what we were told its locally sourced. My kids loved the pool and games around the area, will definitely stay here again.

My fiancé and I had the most amazing trip to Tulum staying at La Zebra! The staff was friendly and attentive, especially Matt! Whenever we needed something at the restaurant/beach he noticed and made sure we were taken care of! The hotel was gorgeous and the rooms were quite big. We loved hanging out at the beach cabanas and the food was delicious! The location was also amazing! We could walk everywhere and so many good restaurants were nearby. The concierge helped us find some pretty cool places! We can’t wait to go back!

This boutique hotel is centric and super chic. The rooms with jacuzzi in the backyard are beautiful and they all have access to the beach. The food and drinks at the restaurant are good (a little overpriced though). Parking was right across the street. Definitely recommended!

Wow...do I dare tell others or do I keep this gem all to myself. Every detail and amenity of a 5 star hotel...turn down beds each night with a thermos of tea...beautiful room, balcony...fresh luxurious bed and bedding....the bathroom...drop shower...every thing you need to feel appreciated. Most unique staff...everyone is an amazing conversationalist...truly are interested to know and help you to make it your best stay. Personal care in the restaurant and beach...they actually have a day-bed for every person staying there...clean sand...clean beach... After walking the entire beach area....I knew I've found the best of the best hotel...st an amazing cost. Clean fresh food...custom coffee orders....live music at night. The hotel is quiet...plenty of room for a full hotel....still feel you are in your own place....plenty of room to accommodate a full hotel and still be in the Tulum vibe. To the management: your lead person Juan Carlos....places your hotel into "Excepcional" status...all your employees are exemplary...But Juan Carlos is a step above. We loved staying here last year and when I tried to book it this year, the price had gone from $225USD a night to over $1300 USD a night for the same room type and same dates as in 2021. Sad we won't be able to afford that rate and will have to find another location.

AMAZING!!!!

Just got back from spending our honeymoon here. It is THE DREAM. This is the most perfect Mexico experience you can imagine, kept immaculate by the nicest people. Get a room with a your own ground-floor plunge pool/hot tub and you'll be steps from the restaurant, daybeds, ocean, and spa all day. You can watch the sun rise from your bed and order carrot cake from your hot tub. It's like this tiny little village full of all good things - fresh watermelon juices, octopus and shrimp tacos, fresh pastries, margaritas, and a heavenly Ayurvedic massage from the talented Carolina and Maurely. You don't need to leave, even though we did occasionally to go into the city for Honorio tacos and shopped along the strip. Coming back here again and again and recommend to everybody. 5 stars!!!!

Best boutique hotel stay in Tulum

This resort has been one of the best stays so far. the resort is so well arranged and is very beautiful. Be it the cabanas by the shore, the restaurant or the bar setting, everything looks aesthetic and this is by far the resort with the best setting in the whole Tulum Hotel Zone area. The guests were very warm and receiving and Francisco walked us and gave us a room tour and later offered us welcome drinks. Our room was very clean and we had a jetted plunge pool with garden view which offered awesome privacy for warm spa time. The food here is great and they offer variety of fresh juices and smoothies which keep you hydrated. If I'm visiting Tulum again in the future, I will definitely be staying in La Zebra and the resort was so beautiful, calm and relaxing that we didn't wanted to step out of it.

My husband and I decided to celebrate my 44th birthday at this hotel in Tulum by taking a mini 4 day vacation. Front desk staff were pleasant and friendly. The property is well maintained and staff at the restaurant was attentive. Food was okay. Taco night had the best food out of all the night. Be prepared to easily pay over $100 for a few tacos and drinks for 2 people. The pool was located on an upper level and we never saw anyone use it as it is ma foot cooling station that must not have more than 2 feet of water. To go to a nearby sister hotel that is about a 10 minute ride, be prepared to pay $30 each way. As soon as you get to the sister property, they will try to sell you a bottle of wine and spa packages. Also, be aware that the beach views at most of the hotels or Cancun destinations are infested with tons of sargassum (algae) that turns a large portion of coastal ocean waters brown and smelly. You are not able to swim in the beaches and they are not pleasant to walk near from the months of May-August. I felt like we were seen as an opportunity to be ripped off anywhere we went. Mexico has truly lost its quality of hospitality. My husband and more than enough money to last us the 4 days and we had to take out more money on 2 occasions to be able to make it back home as everything was a rip-off with poor quality/service.

Great Hotel!

Excellent Hotel. Staff was great from beginning to end top to bottom. Property is beautiful. Only a few minor things that didn’t effect my rating was my refrigerator only kept things cool and not cold and I could not get ice on demand. The daily amount of mosquitoes in the hall on the way to unlock the door that you have to turn the lock for 10 seconds to lock / unlock. Other than that I definitely would stay again

The property is beautiful and service is good for the most part. I met Francisco at the front desk and he was wonderful and so helpful. Yet, when we checked in he was gone for the day. The gentleman that handled our check in did it so fast and then said he would be sending us a welcome drinks. They never came. That was a bit disappointing. Yet, the place is amazing. Just wish Francisco coworkers had his positive and inviting attitude.

This property is AMAZING! From start to finish this was a first class experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was seasoned well and the presentation was equivalent to a five star restaurant. The room was spacious and very clean. We traveled with 4 people and there was plenty of room for all of us. The location is in walking distance to some great bars and restaurants. I am most definitely planning to return to this resort soon.

Highly recommend!!! Our suite at this stunning hotel was mind blowing! Exactly what I wanted, perfect location on tulum beach, From the moment we arrived, there was ample car parking, great customer services and welcoming drinks. We were shown our suite located on the beach front after a very swift check in, walked through a jungle themed aesthetically pleasing pathway, Bedroom was very clean, included towels / beach towels / toiletries. Swirl Plunge pool was amazing in the heat. Was worth the 4 hour drive!!!!
