Parking was terrible, traffic thought parking lot was a street. The building & rooms are old and need an upgrade.
Room was very clean. Hotel staff was incredibly nice.
Great place to stay for few days!
Everything is fine, they just need to add towels to the bathroom.
Perfect location
great location
You get what you pay for
The room was spartan but clean. The linen had been around the block a couple of time and were somewhat threadbare. It was 0.4 miles from the HG Convention Center and suited by purpose.
This place was dirty! There wasn't any parking and they charged $10 for their guest to park on-site. The sheets and mattress cover were stained. The towels were stained and had holes. Management (owners) didn't seem to care. There wasn't any water presser at all. Was extremely disappointed with this location. Would have changed but everything in the area was booked!
They are charging me for a blanket that they lost 40 dollars .I told them that it wasn’t me to check the cameras first before making an extra charge . The lady is so rude Please don’t stay in this hotel I’m not recommending to any body this bad experience .
Rooms are a little old and dated but clean for a great price. Feels like you are in a cute little village. Walkin distance to restaurants, bars and Alamodome. A little stingy on there cheap tp, i recommend bring your own roll.
When we arrived to check in, the receptionist (who I believe was the owner) was incredibly rude. She didn’t greet us—her first words were simply “ID.” I initially thought she might be having a bad day, but her attitude didn’t improve. She then informed us that we needed to pay $10 per night for parking, which wasn’t clearly disclosed when I booked the room through Hotels.com. The parking fees are only visible on the hotel’s website. On top of the rude service, we were told that, despite paying for parking, we were still responsible for the safety of our vehicle. When we finally made it to our room, it was dirty. There were crumbs by the TV, an old chocolate milk and socks left behind by the previous guests, and the sheets had stains. There were spots of what it looks like blood on one corner and yellow stains elsewhere. The room was also missing an iron/ironing board, and there was only one trash bin for the entire room, with none in the bathroom.
Fine on a budget but could be better
Overall, it’s a place to stay. Room and bathroom was clean. Good water pressure and temp. Room has a large built in window unit that was not on when we entered the room. We checked in at 4:30pm at it was 96 outside, and the room didn’t cool off into the mid 70s until 2 am. Room was finally at a cool temperature in the morning at 11. Room was a good cold temp throughout our second day. First night sleeping was bad but second night was decent. Only got one key card for a room for 4, so that was annoying to get into the room. Also there’s a $10 charge per night for covered parking in their small garage.
Good times in town
My wife had an extremely good time! I believe several people at the veranda of Rosario's could see us since we left the blinds up...
Old and dirty
Avoid!
Dirty, cockroaches. Unfriendly staff
Dirty
Dirty. Rude staff. Dirty sheets
Avoid!
Dirty . Had cockroaches . Very rude front desk
Clean and affordable
Clean and affordable
Walkable. Clean. Affordable, no frills. Safe.
Walkable. Clean. Affordable, no frills. Safe.
Cheap and clean
Favorite cheap clean spot in town . Busy fun area. Plenty to walk to. Service is a nice family . No frills . Clean sheets. Comfy beds .
A nice place and very convenient to the Riverwalk and downtown!
Everything was great!
Easily accessible
Fast check in, clean room, comfy beds and pillows, cold ac, quiet as a mouse.
I liked everything.
Clean rooms nice beds. A great low cost option for our circumstances. We were really only in the room to sleep. Bathtub could use a little work.
This property is pretty close to River Walk with very nice restaurants near by. But this one doesn't even have a lobby it is a motel, that's all. Fairly clean room, broken faucet, no clothes closet, ok bedding. All in all a motel that's all. If I wanted to stay and enjoy San Antonio, I'll not be staying here. The staff are pretty courteous no complaints there. I'm would not bring my family to this one.
Don’t stay if you are old
Person who checked me in tried to convince me I was a day early for my reservation. Had to sho my confirmation before she found it. Was very abrasive. No coffee pot in room. Also is not handicapped friendly. No stopper in tub, I’m a bath gal. Stairway very narrow and straight up almost a ladder. On the positive side, it is located in a historic area. Close to hemisphere tower, the convention center and the river walk. Lots of cafes and bars around it.
Air Conditioner was hardly working, we had to leave and hour after we got there and go somewhere else.
Its great
I like that everything is in walking distance.
Everything is in walking distance. Not so busy.
Convenient quit clean
I liked everything.
Decent hotel for the price. 2 rooms 2 nights 350$ not bad. Could use some renovating, just used it to sleep. Bare minimums in room which was ok for wife & I. In nicer area of SA. Would stay again.
I liked the affordable price for a room. And cleanliness.
Poor excuse for a Inn.
They charge for parking, they're rude, my car got dented because this place really doesn't have a good parking lot. I personally wouldn't recommend it.
It was anazing i loved that ot was verryvclean the room was beautifule also the price
3 days
The room was cleaned everyday. Easy check in & out.
It is very close to San Antonio Downtown.
Not friendly at all. Bathroom needs a makeover .
Property is located close to downtown but service is poor. No water, coffee in the room. They charge for parking and hallway smells marijuana all the time.
Hard to park if you have a big truck. $10 charge.
If I was told that this hotel doesn’t offer the service to hold luggage I would never book it. The facilities are usable but poor - though I know it’s a budget hotel. The bedding are dirty - not sure if it was changed since last guest due to there’s hair and many dirty spots. No elevator - lucky I don’t have large suitcases. No facial tissue. The AC is super noise when it operates, as well as the refrigerator. Woke me up many times during the night. I have to had the earplug.
Downtown Gem
Excellent customer service and wonderful room in a great spot close to restaurants, shops, and downtown.
Stay was great. I give the cleanliness a 4 of 5 star rating. Definitely would stay again.
Exceeded expectations
Much better than expected based on low price. Location is convenient. It met my basic needs
If you're looking for a place to just have a bed and a shower this place is okay. There were roaches little baby roaches as well. The hallways smell like marijuana. Don't think management or owners were too concerned. This spot is walkable to the Alamo, Riverwalk, Hemisfair Park, Etc.
Its really close to food and entertainment. Definitely prime real estate. You get what you pay for. Definitely dont expect any type of luxury. Spacious room but did see roaches.
No hot water.
Area is good, walkable to River center and La Villita area. Hotel was clean and everything worked well. Definitely would recommend.
Good
The floor was dirty and the AC was super loud so we had to ask for a different room. Once we got our new room, things got better. The bed was comfy.
wasn’t told about the $40 deposit, the blankets smelled like they weren’t washed. staff was rude on the phone and seemed like they didn’t know how to do their job. area around the inn is nice but would not recommend staying here.
Modest hotel, but great location; spotless and with a very comfortable new mattress.
Great for those on a budget
The room was clean and beds comfortable. water pressure was good and had plenty of hot and cold water. The air conditioner worked great in our room!! Price was good especially for the location, very convenient. This is a no frills place. You have to climb stairs to get to your room, parking is tight and you are charged $10 a night. Still I would stay again. I only wish they had coffee in the room.
Is a great place to stay at, close enough to a enjoyable walk and with a great price, clean and the people there is nice 🙂
The lady at the front desk was unfriendly and not helpful when it came to answering questions. The overall appearance and condition of the building is shoddy and Third World-looking. It seemed that they squeaked by with the most meager of offerings. Tiny bars of soap as thin as a vanilla wafer. No water in the room in the refrigerator. No way to get water or ice. And they charge for parking on top of the room rate.
The room was extremely HOT. The a/c is positioned in a place where the air hits the wall directly and did not reach the beds. The cold water did not function in the bathtub so besides the HOT room we had to take a hot shower.
It was away from the where everything was happening, but close enough to walk to Alamo, restaurants, shop, river boat etc… It’s better to park there since your already paying for parking. Very expensive parking in other areas. I don’t know about night time. Only did sightseeing in day.
Excellent value - I recommend it!
Don't expect the Ritz Carlton and you'll be more than satisfied! Friendly staff, great location with multiple food/fun options that are LESS than a 5 min walk from your hotel door. This isn't a $500 a night place so adjust your ideas accordingly based on the VALUE you'll get...and you'll have a great time!
Paid For Parking Because There Was A Big Fiesta Going On All Over San Antonio,Tx
Strongly recommended! Very clean! Will stay again!
Great stay for the price
Driving to seems like a run down area. Once parked and into hallway way. Definitely a better vibe to stay. When checking in I had to pay $10 for my car to park overnight. Was not expecting that. Room was clean and shower water pressure was amazing. Enjoyed the tv channels as background noise. Could hear only loud people walking the halls. Fridge works very well. Bed was like a cloud.
Location
It’s a nice off the riverwak hotel, in a hip area all it’s own.
Great small motel, there’s lots of places to eat/sight see in the area.
This is a small quaint 2nd level story motel, there’s limited parking, no irons, refigs/micro in room along with a ice machine. There’s plenty of places to eat, sight see within 1-3 blocks.
.
They dont tell you its a fee to park here on site. Also we found this room for much less, and they wouldn't honor the lower price. I read the reviews before booking... they were all very inaccurate. They said this place was amazing, yeah not.
Creepy place
They took care of me! Early check in from trip and checkout to accommodate the traveler
Location
I was not pleased about having to pay for parking, i was there on New year's eve and they did not charge for parking .
Hidden treasure
Clean room in a nice location, run by great people. Cannot recommend enough for the price! A great deal!
Displeased
We where there for about 2 hours had some friends come over to wait on us to go out for dinner and the front desk was very rude with me and my guest and told me they were not aloud up to my room. Tried to tell me she told me at check in which was not discussed at all at check in or I would have left then
Nice, clean 3-star hotel
Great price for the place. I was expecting not as nice for their price. Would definitely recommend
The neighborhood was the best part of this hotel!
It was a decent 2 star hotel and good value. You could hear too much activity in the hallway. The room was clean and in good condition. Parking was a little tight. The best thing about the hotel was the location. It’s in a small neighborhood with a few bars and restaurants that you wouldn’t know about unless you were in that neighborhood. It’s 3 blocks from the river walk and Tower of the Americas so you’re right there next to everything but you get a different experience than just the River Walk.
Awesome. clean quiet room and friendly service.
Stinky Room!
Our trip was wonderful, the only problem we had was the horrendous Smell inside the hallway and the room. Air conditioner was running and a musty smell filled the room.
The price is right
Older, small property with immigrant family owners. Parking is covered but not included in room price. All rooms are upstairs. There are NO amenities on site - no lobby (just a check in window), no breakfast, no elevator, no do-not-disturb tag to keep housekeeping out. But it’s clean, safe, and close to the Riverwalk. Easy walking distance to Hemisfair park and convention center. If you don’t mind super basic accommodations and don’t want to pay Riverwalk prices, this is the place for you.
Great location
The room was cleaned and smelled neutral. To my surprise, the room had a microwave and mini fridge. I appreciated the owner letting me park there before our check in time. My family and I were able to walk to the Alamodome and save the parking fee. I recommend La Villita Inn if you want a close and affordable place to stay within walking distance from the River Walk and Alamodome.
Crappist stay ever
Very rude front desk person no handicap access all stairs no wheelchair ramp son had to walk after surgical procedure not helpful at all we asked for handicap and we’re not told until after was paid for they charge 20.00 extra for a 2nd room key which is unheard of and as a guest no free parking you are already paying for thier crappy hotel and they expect you to pay additional 10.00 per night for parking no ice in the ice machines just a rip off called to hotels . Com to complain they don’t care they didn’t do anything if you advertise that you have a handicap room but it’s rented then where the hell id the ramp for the stairs or do the handicap wheelchair people get carried to their room and how much extra does that cost fricken jerks
Charged for parking. No iron.
Covered parking and wonderful location. NOT wheelchair accessible.
Comfortable stay:)
Comfortable, friendly helpful staff, good AC.
Ok for the price
Worst experience ever!
Our stay was not good. We didnt even stay the whole night! The AC didnt work in the room so it was hot and stuffy! There was a strong chemical smell that burned my eyes. I couldn't stay there a whole night, never again!
Property is really old, rooms are okay with freezer and tv and Ac was working fine. They have a small window so its feels like kind a dark room. No breakfast no coffee nothing like that which was expected. The staff were friendly and helpful. The main disappointment for me was shower, after having a long day you expect to have a shower which was not working and it looks like it's like that for a while. If you think you need a shower at the end of the day it's not the right place.
Clean but old hotel.Perfect location for the price
Its a very old hotel. Although clean, the bath tub and bathroom is very old and had a lot of stains. For the bed, sheets were relatively clean but there was hair on the pillows! So i had to use my own pillowcase. Wi-Fi was super slow and i decided to use my own data instead. Check-in and check out was fast and easy. For the price I paid, the location is perfect. I used the Bird Scooter to get to and from the hotel. Recommended if you are on a budget but still want to be close to the Riverwalk and main attractions.
I was a little concerned at the check in that maybe I made a miste Ake I’m choosing this location. The “lobby”(which was only a small room with a man behind a glass) was a little disheartening, and creepy. But when we got to the room we were very pleasantly surprised. The bed was nice and comfy. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice, including the shower which worked fine. It was very quiet and we got a good nights sleep. I’d say this was a good deal.
The parking felt secure and the host was helpful and let us keep the car parked for the day. The location was the best thing as it was 10 minutes from the river.
Great place!!!
Honestly i love staying here its always clean & quiet & near everything. The front desk person is always nice no matter what time of day. Spacious rooms with microwave & mini fridge. Covered parking & wifi its great! Plus super close to everything .. i walked to the tower of americas park & it wasnt to bad . Overall great place!
Dirty cover blanket and bedspread. There is almost no area to put clothes, they only had 2 coat racks. To bathe they only put a small soap they did not have bath gel. The remote control of the TV did not work, There is nothing coffee or tea in the room to prepare. It's more of a motel than a hotel.
Sheet and towels were dirty
Great Stay!!!
I would definitely stay here again. Was very quite despite the fact I stayed during Fiesta. Walking distance to a lot of things. Owners were very friendly and attentive. Beds were super comfty and firm. Shower was clean but tub kind of wearing out. Water ran well for showering. Big plus, Rosario’s restaurant is being built right next door. Just a common sense input, If two guests are in a room put two washcloths please. Thx. Would have liked some coffee options either in room or lobby.
Better than expected
Overall, it was a good clean room. Definitely a little small but not bad. The pillows were a bit uncomfortable but still useable. It’s good for the price. We probably will use again when we need to stay downtown.
Just what we needed, close to everything
The only drawback was the covered parking garage, not enough room to park your vehicle and difficult to reverse out of the parking spot without striking the building, Good wayer pressure, plenty Hot water

Very good value for the cash money
