A
Surroundings not good not maintained well.
Nice rooms with good free breakfast option All world class attractions just 10 mins drive away
Good value hotel. Clean and excellent service.
Clean, fast and easy precheck in process. Perfect for a work night away.
Walls are very thin. We were able to hear next room neighbors very clearly.
It wasn't expensive. Clean property and not to far from restaurants.
The staff was very acommodating leaving us in the same room while we kept extending our stay there. Very good place to stay with our dog. Staff very friendly and good breakfast
So many things were broken; we could hear the adjoining room all night; the heater was really loud; the tv didn’t work; sketchy part of town
It was a great location and the room was clean. Hot tub was hot and the pool was cool. Only complaint is that the breakfast was the exact same every day.
Fine inside. A little dodgy outside.
Parking was free & easy. Area is kinda sketch though.
Property condition was poor. Bed frame was a lot bigger than mattress and made of metal so caused quite a few injuries. Bath was chipped and shower flooded bathroom if you didn’t put towels down.
fine stay
Great place to rest your head while traveling.
Everything was great. Would love to stay in same location and room next time Im there in mission beach.
Hotel was easy to check in and out of. Parking is a little tight but manageable. Service was friendly and professional.
Terrible experience. We had to wait freezing at 11:30 pm to someone to let us in. Horrible smell in the room. Very bad hotel.
Breakfast and parking included - clean and good service
Well located, the breakfast was not good
We enjoyed our stay. It is not in the best location because it is kind of hidden, but the hotel was nice and the front desk attendants were amazing! The bonus was it was close by the airport.
Nice hotel. Parking just a little tight
The parking was VERY limited and so closed in,The lobby was nicely cleaned and staff was helpful. Hallway smell was smelling like you justed walked into a vet place. Balcony was very small and felt a little claustrophobic but it had a nice view of the bay. The shower pressure could've been more powerful. Sliding screen was broken when we first opened our balcony.
LOVE staying close to the beach
Nice property for the money, but nothing special. Very generic breakfast. Boiled eggs were dreadful. People tend to hoard food like bananas for future use, so they run out, but no the hotel's fault. Parking garage had some very tight spots but fortunately our Kia Soul had no problems fitting. Not the easiest location to navigate, definitely needed map app to find. No restaurants within reasonable walking distance. close to freeway, lots of noise but was able to request fourth floor room, so not too bad. They try to clean the room very early and if you have the privacy sign on the door, they leave a note saying they won't clean that day unless you call the front. desk. So we ended up with no cleaning for the entire three nights, but not a big issue, really. Hotels will never go back to the daily cleaning like pre-pandemic. Room was dated but clean and functional. Might spend a bit more $ next time for a better location and more modern hotel, but it all depends on situation.
Was old and limited amenities
Price is pretty good for the SD area.
Great shower! Desk clerk could smile and be more welcoming.
If you enter through the ground floor parking lot, you will need to call the number by the door to get in. Our room was not facing the major road, and it was quiet. We had a great stay, and the breakfast is simple yet fresh. Thank you!
Great value -
4 star feel for 3-star price
Quiet, parking garage, and cozy feeling hotel.
Nothing special, over all was fine
Some trash on the back of the building
I thought the room needed an overhaul. Furnishings were worn. The bathroom needed to be cleaned better. There was hair in the bathroom. There were no umbrellas for the tables in the pool area.
We booked this hotel for 3 nights. We checked in and got to our room. The photos they have online are not what it looks like. The AC unit leaks outside of your room. We didn’t realize that’s why they had a bucket under it so it leaked all down the tile hallway and stairs. The tv remote only works for the volume. It was stuck on the same channel. When we went to dinner we couldn’t close our door. It kept getting stuck. The area around the hotel didn’t seem safe. In the morning we went to the breakfast area. It was very basic and so small. We took the kids to the pool and it was full of seagull poop and it was so dirty. We decided to leave and went to a different hotel.
It was satisfactory. Good breakfast, clean and comfortable room
Memorable stay
The entrance is actually at the rear of the building. A parked truck blocked the view of the door. Parking was horrendous almost causing a collision. The building is old and run down. Room was loud and an Oder from the drains was very noticeable in the.bathroom. Breakfast was average at best. Never again
It was okay
Noisy as there was a dog kennel right outside our window!
Bed was very stiff/hard. We stay almost exclusively at La Quinta inn and suites due to comfort . This bed was as comfortable as the others.
The room was clean and roomy , however, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable for me. We stay almost exclusively at La Quinta inn and suites because of the comfortable beds. First time I’ve been unable to rest in one of their beds. We stayed same hotel one week prior and the bed was very comfortable . I’m over 70 and still work long hours. I need to sleep and be able to rest.
Couldn't find parking Has to park on street
This property is definitely older. There is a distinct smell of moisture or mold. But the worst part would be the parking situation and the extreme difficulty getting in and out of the limited parking structure that they do have. The staff was friendly and helpful though. I would definitely not stay here again but for the price I suppose you get what you pay for.
It was an old structure, didn't know it had a pool or laundry facility until day or so when i was leaving. Awkward parking, too tight of spaces to park, business printer didn't work, couldn't print
Not very clean, wall patched but not painted, hallway carpets extremely dirty. Very disapointed.
Almost perfect except a parking area
Not sure about this one
The stay in itself was ok however the hotel isn’t in a good area and car parking was dreadful.
Ants in the bathroom. By far the noisiest and dirtiest La Quinta I’ve ever stayed at. Hottub was cold and cream colored till I complained 2 days of my 5 night stay. This is an old building that has not been taken care of. There is a dog kennel or something across the street. Can hear everyone in the hallway. After preferring La Quintas when I travel I will now be looking into other hotel options.
Nice staff. Comfortable beds. Quiet and dark rooms
Great service!
The elevator on the 4th floor went out. The staff sent a young man to help with out luggage when it was time to check out. My wife and i were very grateful!!
Was great time here, thank you!
Nice staff. Free breakfast. Felt safe and comfortable, parking was always available, although not ideal, with tight spaces and a sloped entrance, but that's just a San Diego in general problem. Close to beaches and the freeways. We enjoyed our stay.
Very good. Was clean and in a good area.
La Quinta makes traveling with pets a breeze!! Enjoyed our stay in San Diego and highly recommend this location, Staff were courteous and friendly. Parking availability in the Parking Garage was an added plus.
Great stay!!
This hotel I would come back for sure, it makes up for the last stay from a different hotel. I enjoyed the room here, the cleanliness, the accessibility. No complaint apart from the qwerky parking structure. Wish I had stayed more nights but that's for next time I recommend this hotel 👍
Very frienldly..
The place is falling apart. Paint is chipping off the walls, drywall is missing in spots, carpet is badly stained, towels are stained, and staff is rude.
The room is clean and quiet. Recommend!

Not again
Room was great! It was a nightmare to find the driveway and parking was impossible. Tiny parking lot. Lower level parking but no obvious entrance. Lobby at second floor. While the room was great the property needs an overhaul.
Area around hotel not great but aside from that everything was good for the price
Service was good. Breakfast was good. It had a bad smell.
Everything was good, the parking situation was a lil tight- but overall it was a great place to stay
Great place to stay and very friendly staff. Parking was challenging, but we were always able to find a place.
Staff was not very helpful. Bed was very comfortable. Street was noisy. Good location.
Good
Everything was good experience the only thing was the had alot spider web
Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was ok.
Mold problems
I like that the place was clean and safe the one thing i hope they can do in the future is mske more parking lot
I didn't know that it was pet friendly when I booked the room. I'm allergic to dogs, and there were a lot of them there. We checked in and almost right away I was sneezing. The room doesn't look like the pictures at all. This place needs a remodel. Because I was allergic, we went and talked to John and he let us check out asap. Thank you John.
The property was close to the fwy and close to the beach. Room was very spacious and clean. Front desk staff was very friendly.
Free parking and close to anywhere we went
The carpet leading to room was very smelly and filty. Large spots in several areas. This was the 4th floor. The room itself was acceptable and clean. This is the first Quinta Inn we see in a very disturbing maintenance issue.
I like the property I stay at other ones
Found ants in the bathroom in first room we checked in to. They provided a new room once noticed but the new room provided didn’t seem much better. At least no ants
Upon arrival, it was a lot more rundown than I anticipated. The room we were given had the worst smell I ever smelled before. It was either a raw sewage smell or a dead body. I'm not trying to be funny. That's how bad the smell was. It did not dissipate, no matter how long we were in the room. I didn't even want to sit on the bed because the smell was so bad.I felt like the room was disgusting. I wanted to leave, but it was so late. They gave us another room, which was a lot better. The girl at the front desk asked me to come all the way back to return the keys and didn't even care to check the room that I told her was really, really bad. Nobody seemed to care
The property was kept clean. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again when visiting San Diego.
Accommodating
Great place to stay
Convenient to get from sea world
Nice hotel, but bad area
Parking is a little tricky with tight spaces and narrow driveways. Neighborhood isn’t terrible but wouldn’t walk alone.
There was construction going on all over the hotel. Not only did we not have a view, we didn't even have a window as it was covered with opaque plastic. We couldn't get any fresh air. The garage was difficult to park in with all the construction going on.
Good breakfast
The hallway and our room had huge stains!! Patrons at 2 am being loud
I found the parking to be easier than expected. Just park on the lower floor lots of space. Pool and hot tub were sparkling clean. Front desk took good care of me. Love this place. Just needs some coaching for a little more thoughtfulness. Breakfast buffet manager kept letting things run out.
We stayed here last year too and enjoyed it. Good location, and in the Mission Bay Area. Helpful staff and clean property. It has a good breakfast with a selection of hot and dry food items, fruit. The pool and hot tub were good. The only negative, is the parking garage area is a little cramped. It can be difficult to get in and out, especially if full of vehicles. We mostly parked on the street nearby and it was convenient. 3 spots to park in front of lobby too. It’s difficult to find a good hotel, I wouldn’t look for a different one if in San Diego again.
John at the front desk was really helpful. He made our stay more enjoyable. A big asset to an otherwise indifferent staff. On the other hand, one of the young women in the breakfast room staff berated me for not clearing my breakfast off the table before leaving. I was not aware that this was my job and not hers. Not very pleasant. Also we needed to use the clothes dryer- it was out of order.
Breakfast was okay. Facility needs upgrading.
It's amazing costumers service, clean and quite.
Property is small and parking area is tight and congested! Outside noise is very noticeable, especially from traffic. Hotel is pet friendly which is fine but allowing guests to carry their dogs into the dining area and handle food while holding an animal is a bit much to put it nicely! Carpet in hallways is dated and smells bad while room furnishings are out dated!
I liked the facility. The parking area always had people hanging around and some drinking beer all day long.
The pool area was in disrepair. Not enough chairs, some were broken. Mold in the shower around the tub and on the ceiling. Drywall patches were done but not painted
Did not the one way entery to parking.
We enjoyed staying there. Daily service, very clean.
Very satisfied
We liked it so much we decided to stay another night.
Great location. Clean rooms
The Room and rest of hotel was very pleasant stay.
Parking spots were too narrow for parking an SUV. also the area around the hotel seemed to be not that good
