I was not notified of a horrible techno music festival taking place directly outside my room. From around 8 pm, until 2 am on the morning of December 22, my entire room was shaking from the loud bass. The music is so loud that even with ear plugs I was unable to sleep. The hotel or Expedia should have notified me of this and I will be expecting a refund. To anyone reading this, it is hard to describe how loud the music is, perhaps if I went to bed behind the speakers at my local techno nightclub, I might have a similarly awful experience. I was simply looking for a quiet weekend at a polo resort which promised a unique experience. Instead I suffering through a sleepless night that I am paying for. This is without question the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I cannot express what a terrible experience this has been.

Never stay at Las Palmas. They host parties until 2 a.m. The music was so loud my room was shaking. Truly a miserable experience.

Hotel is beautiful, service is great. However I deducted one star because the room is not well-insulated from noise. I could clearly hear my neighbors in adjacent room.

Pure heaven!

One of the most beautiful properties I’ve ever stayed on! The restaurant, room, pool were gorgeous! The gym is state of the art! Perfect place to rest and unwind!!!

This place is next level! We booked it as we had 1 night in Quito before flying back to the UK and it was superb. The staff could not have been more helpful & the facilities were top notch. Our room was immaculate & we had a balcony on the lake where we saw so much wildlife including some quite rare birds. We were able to check out late & use the facilities until we needed to head to the airport and we had a wonderful relaxed afternoon by the outdoor pool. The food and drinks were delicious. A glorious setting and the perfect relaxing end to an amazing holiday.

Terrible experience

Las Palmas is mostly a polo club. They host massive events. I wished they had let us know that they were hosting a massive party the day of or arrival, we spent an hour sitting in traffic trying to access the property. The property is located in a rural area, that can only be accessed through a narrow street. When they host these events there is massive congestion. It took us longer to get to the hotel than to fly from Cuenca to Quito. Terrible experience. The music was loud and we could hear it in our room. The rooms are spacious but don’t have blackouts curtains. The front desk was very apologetic but it was clear they didn’t think through how hosting a massive event would impact their regular customers.

Very spacious accommodation with mini kitchen, excellent place for just relaxing in a quiet spacious setting. Feels more like a country club than a hotel. Staff were incredible, very helpful in whatever was requested.

There was a problem with our reservation, however they were able to solve it, that’s why the rating was not excellent. The place is really beautiful, quiet and cozy.

Beautiful grounds, relaxed atmosphere

Everything was amazing. Staff extra friendly and incredibly helpful. Its a treck to get your bags to the room, but the folks met us to take our bags for us. The rooms were immaculate and incredibly comfortable and the views were AMAZING! Will definitely stay again! Thank you all so much!

Watching and speaking with owners and trainers of dressage horses was an unexpected bonus !

Every room and suite at La Palma was absolutely stunning. It was true luxury. The restaurant on-site was fantastic. We also really appreciated that they offered shuttles to and from the airport. No complaints, next time we are in Quito we will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property! Wish we could have stayed longer.

What a beautiful property, we'll definitely stay again. We were staying here for one night between flights so unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the grounds. We stayed in the largest garden suite and it was so beautiful and clean. We really enjoyed the shower and the bed was quite comfortable. We had a lovely dinner in their restaurant, which was open until 8pm. The staff was so helpful and got us set up with a ride back to the airport and a little to-go breakfast.

This property is a part of a polo club, the views from the rooms are the fields. You can walk by the stables and watch the riders practice their dressage skills. The guest rooms are bright, airy and beautifully designed, they are truly exceptional. The dining room is lovely and always filled with fresh flowers. There is a brand new pool in addition to the 2 small pools by the dining room. Our disappointment was with the dining service. The food was good quality, but not prepared well on more than one occasion. Our salmon and steak were sadly undercooked and other issues persisted at other meals. I am sure they are working to improve this. If we have the opportunity to visit Quito again, we would return to La Palma without hesitation.

Persfect place to start or end your trip

The place is very beautiful. There are fresh flowers everywhere. The staff aims to please. The rooms are large and lovely. The breakfast was delicious.

The rooms here was absolutely beautiful and it felt very safe. Also the dining area was very modern and well put together. Getting to see the beautiful grounds was also a plus. I wish we had more time to explore the property, but worked extremely well for us. Would definitely recommend.

La Palma Polo Club was absolutely gorgeous and the service was excellent. The pictures are exactly what you get. We definitely want to return one day.

Must Stay

My only regret about La Palma Polo Club is that we were only able to stay one night. It was our stop on our way to the Galapagos, but it's such a special and beautiful place that I could spend an entire vacation relaxing there. On top of everything, the hospitality was unbelievable.

the architecture was unique & beautiful circulation on pathways was very difficult with luggage across grass and poorly lit

Unique stay in Quito if you like nature, outdoor activities, and quietness. Rooms are beautifully finished and the staff is amazing with the guests. They have a small lounge, dinner/bar area, and pool for guests to use. Maybe they need an additional communal area? Perhaps a fire pit and more outdoor seating. They do have an amazing event space that if not used can become part of the guest experience. Overall it was a great stay!

La Palma Polo Club was amazing - the rooms are beautiful, the staff is super helpful and the food is incredible. The entire place is really beautiful and well maintained.

Excellent stay

I have stayed in a lot of hotels, and this by far the best I have experienced, in every aspect. The rooms, the property, the service, the food was all exceptional. Whether you have a layover (fairly close to airport) or are looking for affordable luxury in Quito, you will want to add this hotel to your itinerary.

The rooms are absolutely amazing, glass on on sides (without losing privacy), extremely high quality finishes, super relaxing vibe all across.

The staff was very attentive to any of our needs. We missed a flight from the US and had to postpone our stay by one day. They were quick to respond to my email request for a reservation reschedule and even called to confirm. Beautiful place to stay. Will come back for sure!

Beautiful rooms, grounds and dining area. We were flying into Quito late at night and they arranged a taxi pickup that was seamless. It was a beautiful location to recharge and relax.

Lovely spot great feeling of countryside and fresh air. Lovely grounds you can go to the stables and pet the horses. They have two pools a warm and a cool. The restaurant is amazing lovely local dishes they make from scratch, the. Cook ran out to the garden and picked the lettuce and herbs once we ordered and Brian the bartender made the best Gin and tonic ever, prepared at your table, he offered lots of different choices, I had lime and fresh ginger grated into mine and Chy had cardamom and orange freshly ground and added superb.

the place is a piece of paradise. Even though it is a little ways off, it is worth it. If you like nature and luxury at the same time, this is the place to be. Make sure to ask the staff to turn on the fireplace.

This place is amazing! What a hidden gem. It is pretty far from Quito, but we used it as a place to stay the night we got in and the night before we left. Both times, the hotel arranged a free shuttle to pick us up and take us to the airport (at ungodly hours). The food was great, the service was better and the property was so pretty. it was the perfect start and end to our trip.

A totally relaxing stay, everything about this hotel is wonderful. With only 9 suites, it is very quiet and private. The staff were extremely helpful and the restaurant was wonderful. Had my best meal in South America here!

Much more than a hotel

I have traveled a lot around the world over two decades, including in many top hotels, and this one is in my top five—and surely number one in terms of quality to price ratio. In fact it is far more than a hotel, it is a club built on an immense property that has been around for 100 and simply happens to have rooms. It had a (super) heated swimming pool, clay tennis courts, huge grass fields where kids can play any game including soccer, it’s maintenance is top notch, food is excellent and staff are simply fantastic and make you feel at home (well, it really feels like a club). Don’t hesitate just book!!!

An incredible hotel! Beautiful, quiet, luxurious. The staff and hotel manager treat you like royalty. They make you feel special and tend to your every need. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Your site said hotel was 2.5 miles away from airport which was false. This hotel was about 40 minutes away and when we arrived there was no person there to check us in. We had to take taxi 40 minutes back to airport and pay for another hotel. Please refund back my money as I did not check in or stay at this place.

We stayed with our kids and it was amazing! They are a true gem! Awesome service and staff. We arrived in different flights and they accommodated our pick up. They answer the phone all the time, cleared every doubt and treated us like family. It was a great experience.

This place is very unique and relaxing, I highly recommend it!

The property is beautiful. The rooms are post and beam with lots of natural lighting. The restaurant serves delicious food and it was no problem for them to provide gluten free food from their high quality ingredients. I have Celiac diesaese and the food was no problem. The staff all go out of their way to accommodate their guests. We arrived late at night and were warmly welcomed. The atmosphere is one of relaxation and enjoying nature.

I cannot say enough positive things about the Quito Polo club. I loved exploring the grounds there are polo fields, two pools, an open-air restaurant, clay tennis courts, and endless places to walk and explore. The Polo Club is close to both downtown Quito and the airport making it a convenient place to stay if you are looking to relax and avoid some of the craziness of downtown Quito. The manager was able to organize a driver, Jimmy, to take us to Mindo for a day. The price of hiring a driver was the same as a group tour, and we were able to customize what we did completely.

Great location. Friendly staff and spacious nice rooms

What an unexpected beautiful surprise. Just needed a place for the night and where I normally was booked. I selected the Quito Polo Club sight unseen and I was very pleasantly surprised. The only bad thing was that I had to leave early the next morning and didn't get to fully experience this lovely property.

Stunning and family friendly

Quito Polo Club is stunning! We were travelling with our 2 year old daughter and felt we we were home. Their facilities are outstanding, not only for adults but also for little ones. The surroundings beautiful and their customer service excellent. We will definitely stay with them next time we travel to Quito.Looking forward to it!

Stay at Polo Club

Details are not well taken care of. TV signal failed, Not reliable wifi, no tennis balls to play, food need lot of improvement, no horse ride available, no essential first aids supply

We were only here for one night but the service was great, staff was nice, and the property was gorgeous! Only 25 minutes from the airport and they offer a ride.

What a wonderful experience we had at Quito Polo. It is quiet and modern; peaceful yet stylish. The people made the experience, however. They kept the restaurant open late when we arrived and made everything by hand- soups, juices and even the empanadas. Then they awoke early at 4:30am to deliver us boxed breakfasts for our 6:00am flight. Above and beyond service! This is a gem of a find.
