Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. High ceilings and the fan was sufficient for comfort although AC was available. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Nice service, just missing a coffee maker in the room.

We enjoyed our stay at La Galuna. There was parking right in front of the hotel and plenty of restaurants within a walkable distance nearby.

Staff was great, stayed for one night, last minute stay, it went well. Not many options for Early morning coffee.

Nice quiet stay

For the price I paid the accommodations were ok I think for a little more money I could have gotten nicer. It’s small and quiet which was nice. I never saw anyone tending the bar but sure when it’s open. WiFi was spotty occasionally but overall good. The power went out the first morning so also meant no water. Two bottles of water were in the room upon my arrival but were never restocked. The staff was friendly and communicated well. Close to many tours 13 min walk to city center no need for taxi or driving the location is great. I felt safe walking at night even at 1a

This was a very pleasant stay!

Towels like sandpaper, sheets were badly worn. There isn’t a restaurant and the man at the front desk couldn’t have been bothered by us. We left a day early without a refund. It was like paying to not have to stay.

Great stay

Hotel was very lovely . About a mile or so from all the restaurants. Barcalar is a beautiful city however there are lot of homeless dogs in the area . So lots of barking but that’s not the hotels fault . I can sleep thur it but just want to make people aware . They cleaned our room everyday which we where not expecting but it was great . Had a balcony which was nice when it rained we could outside and enjoyed a drink . Would definitely recommend for a budget friendly stay .

Nice place to stay not far from city center

La Galuna has been a good choice for us in Bacalar. There is good value in the price for nice room, nice pool, very polite staff and good breakfast. Location was also good, but still not in the city center. Parking places are monitored by camera,

Rooms are clean and nice, in hotel amenities it is great with the exception of a restaurant as the bar only serves breakfast so we were on our own for dinner, It’s a nice property.

Nice Hotel

Nice Hotel. Large Room but showing it's age. Noise at night in the hallway and a crying baby above us one night. Location is good. Not on the water but close to Dock, Places to Eat and a nice 15 minute walk to the Centro.

Great property, facilities, room and staff. Breakfast was very basic and unappealing.

Very well maintained

Really nice hotel with clean rooms and a nice look. The pool has little divisions so that people can have areas to hangout.. overall a very good hotel, i guess one negative would be that the walls are a little thin, so you hear the pool music all day which can be fine if you are a teenager but not so much if you flew across the world to relax.

Great romantic place

Most wonderful romantic room ever. Great bed and jacuzzi. Exceeded expectations. Does not have access to the Lagoon.

Nice hotel, good breakfast.

The hotel looks pretty good, it seems they invested a lot in the design. It was practical and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, they have eggs, pancakes and a special every day. It was a little far to walk to the main square where a los of restaurantes are located. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the staff having morning chats(around 7:30 am) right outside the room. You could hear everything, they didn't try to keep it down.

Definitely the place to stay in Bacalar!

It’s has to be one of the best hotels we found in the area. The staff is amazing. Place is clean and beautiful. Friendly guests. Small breakfast area everyone gets to know each other there. Great simple breakfast. Definitely the place to stay for the price in Bacalar!

Misleading... do not go there!

Do not go in this hotel! Supposedly a 4,5 star hotel...well, it’s not! The pictures are really misleading, as they depict only the views from 1 or 2 rooms. Don’t expect facilities like a 4 or 5 star hotel. It’s like 2 apartment building facing the lake. Our room has a great view on the lake but the jacuzzi was disappointing. We always had to add hot water through a faucet because it doesn’t have a water heating system like you could expect. I’m not even talking about the “restaurant” (basically 4 tables outside and no staff to take your order or even take back the plates and dishes of what seemed to be the leftovers of the night before). Then, we’ve been refused an early check in (and I’m talking here of 2:30pm instead of 3pm) Whereas my wife is pregnant and needed to lie down! It was enough, we decided to cancel our second night and ask for a refund. We’ve been told it was not their decision but hotel.com, so we called them to make that happen. But hotel.com process requires to check with the hotel first, and when they tried, the hotel refused to take the call because supposedly they don’t speak English!(Well, I’ve seen their answers on trip advisor and I confirm that they do speak English). Anyway, at the end, the hotel was lying to us saying it was hotel.com decision when it was actually their call and they obviously, they refused to refund us the room... So please don’t go there. I recommend instead the rancho encanto, just 5mn drive from this one.

Gorgeous design and friendly staff, but no view of lagoon. Had never been to Bacalar before. Room was spacious and comfortable. Felt safe, but streets are dark at night and drove to dinner

Beautiful small hotel, food service & full bar

Welcoming and efficient staff, comfortable beds and rooms are spacious. This new property still has a few bugs to work out, but overall we were very pleased. A little noisy for those of us who like to go to sleep early.

The hotel experience was pretty good. I would like them to have some sort of access to the Bacalar Laguna. And allowing people to use their towels during the day outside. Staff members were pretty nice over all.

Tranquille

Hôtel très tranquille dans un quartier calme. Il faut compter 15min pour aller au centre ville et à peine 5min pour voir la lagune notamment le ponton de l’ecoparc à 20$ MXN idéal pour se baigner dans une eau transparente. La piscine est sympa avec les hamacs et les chambres sont très bien décorées. Petit déjeuner correct en supplément. Nous sommes également passés par la réception pour réserver une balade en bateau avec une compagnie très pro et à taille humaine.

La atención y recomendaciones de Vicky fueron maravillosas y ayudaron mucho a mejorar la experiencia en Bacalar. El hotel esta muy lindo. Da la sensación de estar en casa.

En terminos generales muy bien. Pero en la habitacion daba la impresion de sucio. El piso es en cemento y tenia parchos si cemento, roto.

La ubicación es lo mejor, está a 2 cuadras de los muelles más bonitos, caminando del centro bastante cerca y de muy buenos restaurantes, si volvería sin duda

Hotel peligroso

Es un peligro hospedarse en este hotel. Hay fuga del baño, por lo que todo el piso está mojado, goteras en la habitación y lo peor una tabla de madera sobre piedras en la regadera que cruje y está a punto de romperse. El acceso a segundo piso sin un buen techo , siempre llegas mojado y patinando a tu habitación . El área del desayuno sin un buen techo que proteja tu espalda de la lluvia.Para colmo el personal de recepción muy despótas. Solo el chico que atiende el desayuno fue gentil.

muy pocas almhoadas la alberca fria de adorno pocas toallas no rellenaban el agua al dia siguiente lo bueno es que tenia netflix y youtube pero el serivicio o lo que ofrece muy standar y cero calido

Lindo pero descuidado

El lugar está bien, está padre el diseño y la decoración si embargo estaba muy sucias algunas áreas como por ejemplo la alberca (tenía cucarachas de agua dentro de la alberca y basura orgánica) tuve que sacarlas con una red que había cerca, al igual que en el jacuzzi de la habitación tenía el mismo bicho, la recámara estaba bien sin embargo la cabecera estaba llena de polvo y telarañas, era una cabecera de madera y se ve que no limpian esa área, de ahí en fuera el lugar estaba cómodo

Es un hotel pequeño pero su diseño es hermoso, la alberca es muy linda, el desayunandor es acogedor y las habitaciones son cómodas y bellas, los acabados de todo el hotel son rústicos y de la región por lo que te sientes en Bacalar y no en un lugar genérico, la calefacción y el ventilador son muy potentes y la recepción es muy atenta y amable siempre dispuestos a ayudarte a solicitar taxis o contratar tours, en general un hotel que sin duda volvería a hospedarme.

Increible

El lugar súper bonito, la atención increíble desde que llegamos, las habitaciones muy amplias, cómodas y el baño lo mejor que este todo separado. La alberca muy bonita y cómoda, el hotel es pequeño y tienes mejor atención, nos trataron súper bien, disfrutamos mucho nuestra estancia

El hotel como instalación es muy lindo. Muy bien pensado y con muchos detalles peroooo el servicio quizás es el peor que he tenido en México. No es congruente el hotel tan bonito con el NO servicio al cliente! Eñ

Buen costo precio!!

Nos quedamos en Galuna y fue una excelente opción si buscan tranquilidad y tener todo cerca. Incluía desayuno que estaba muy rico (variedad para elegir) y las amedidades estuvieron super bien. Lo mejor? Se me quedó un anillo de compromiso y no dudaron en contactarme y enviármelo por DHL - coordinaron todo y fueron muy amables y preocupados. Eso no se ve en todos lados! Muchas gracias a todo el equipo en especial al de recepción que siempre fueron muy atentos para ayudarnos en todo.
