Staff were friendly and the property was nice. Location was central to all the nice restaurants in the area, walking distance to Hoan Kiem
Great location, good value.
Good value, great location. Wonderful service!
The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The area around the hotel is very busy - which is to be expected, considering the location. But the hotel is an oasis of peace and quiet. Everything, from the spacious rooms to the delicious buffet breakfast was above expectations. However, it is the staff that makes it truly incredible.
Good Sized Rooms, Good Value
Good sized rooms for the Old Quarter. (Most places have such small rooms.) wonderful location, reasonable prices. Great staff, very helpful. Breakfast was decent, nothing great, but good variety for a small hotel.
All good except that our breakfast was not ready as promised as we left early.
Noisy AC
This is an old hotel, the AC is very noise and control by them, if shutting off AC, they will come knocking at your door at 4am.
The hotel layout, decor and furniture are oozing with the Vietnamese charm- loved the architecture of inside of the building. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful( both night and day staff). Pho for breakfast was an excellent idea for cultural experience. The location of the hotel was convenient. Only thing that wasn’t excellent was that the bathtub was very old and caulking around the bathtub was crumbling - it looked not clean because it was very old, not because it wasn’t cleaned well. Overall experience was excellent.
The staff really make this place extra special. Every single one of them really takes pride in going above and beyond to ensure an unforgettable experience/stay. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Bed is very comfortable. Definitely recommend and will most definitely be back!
Right in the heart of Hanoi. Nice breakfast. Fine staff.
Friendly, helpful staff.
This hotel felt like it needed a good clean in places (in the bedroom) and some modernising/refreshing. I.e new shower curtains. My room wasn’t particularly soundproof either so a fair bit of noise transferred from around the corridor and lobby a couple of floors below. The hotel staff were really friendly/ helpful though.
Location alone is a good reason to stay at this hotel, but the staff here are excellent and more than helpful. Anthony, and the rest of the front desk will help you with all your plans and put a smile on your face. The rooms are adequate, and the property is a little dated, but if you can over look that, you will be very happy choosing this hotel. The breakfast is very good, and the neighborhood is safe, but incredibly busy. Much like most of Hanoi, the side walks are difficult to walk on because of motor bikes parked on them. A great hotel in a great location
In such a busy place, was the Hotel extremely quiet!
The motel is well located in the heart of the old district, clean and comfortable in relation to the expense of the room, which I thought was very reasonable.
Nice hotel, great location, The room was spacious, but had to ask for towels.
Nice place.
Nice place. Quiet. First class service. Good breakfast.
It's a nice stay at. Convenient location. Breakfast selections could be improved.
Nice hotel in centre of old district
Very good all round hotel, close to most attractions and restaurants
Very good small hotel in the middle of old town.
Nice small hotel in the middle of old town. Very good service and helpful staff. Good place to stay if you want to be in the heart of old town.
Couple get away
This hotel was in a perfect location. The staff was friendly. The room was nice. Even though we did try to get a quieter room, the walls are thin so in the morning around 6am it got a little noisy from other guests and staff (not street noise). If you can tolerate this, the hotel is quite fine and I would recommend it to others traveling to Hanoi.
Great experience
I'd done a lot of research into Old Quarter hotels and this one kept tickin all the boxes. We weren't disappointed when we got there either. The staff were so friendly and helpful, our room was comfortable and larger than I'd expected, and the location can't be beaten. It was out calm haven in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. We ordered room service on our first night there and unfortunatley the food wasn't fantastic, but breakfasts were ok. Would happily recommend his hotel to any of my friends and family.
Great place to stay
This hotel was ideal for our travel needs. If you are looking for a pool etc. this is not the place for you. But if you want a place in a great location with a great staff, clean rooms, and an excellent breakfast then you will love this place. We would go back in a heartbeat!
Would definitely go back
This was the perfect hotel for our stay in the old quarter of Hanoi. The staff were wonderful and helpful from wake up calls, to arranging for a taxi, to directions and providing maps to locations in the quarter. They even helped us arrange for a massage at a wonderful spa and advised us on what we should pay for taxis etc. rooms were clean, breakfast which is included was a great mix of western and Asian cuisine. Not a single complaint.
We were very impressed by the Dolce Vita. We initially stayed there before leaving for Halong Bay for three days. We were upgraded to a fantastic room which was spacious with a large bathroom plus balcony. Upon our return to Hanoi we stayed there a further two nights and once again were upgraded. The staff were very friendly and we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would definitely stay there again ourselves.
Ok 3-star hotel In the midle of everything.
Ok 3-star hotel, ekcellent breakfast. The internet functions well at least in the lobby. The hotel is in the midle of the most exiting quarter of the city; however the street in front of the hotel is so buzy with motorbikes that it should be considered, especially by elderly people.
Good location clean rooms staff
Good location clean rooms staff very helpful and friendly.Ended up extending our stay here from 1night to 4nights.Overall would recommend it to anyone.

The staff was friendly and was actually very normal acting people. Other staff at other hotels have been so friendly that it did not feel natural if you understand what I mean. I really liked this staff and I found them honest and trustworthy! The hotel itself was pretty good. It was clean, pretty big and had a decent breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to friends as a hotell as it was good value for money and good location.
Sehr durchschnittliches Hotel...
Excellent support and service from the staff. We have a family of six (two adults and four children), and booked two rooms. The reception staff were very considerate and provided a rollaway bed (free of charge), and arranged rooms immediately adjacent to each other. Excellent location in the busy Old Quarter and also very quiet inside the hotel. The staff were also happy for us to store our luggage for two nights when we visited Ha Long Bay (before returning back to the hotel for another night). The staff also arranged a transfer to Ha Long Bay for our family in a seven seat vehicle, and it was a much cheaper option than using Grab or a website. I rate this hotel and the staff extremely highly.
