Très bonne expérience, nous venons souvent dans cet hôtel et nous y sommes toujours très bien accueillis.
On way home from Spain, just a stop. But good value and clean. Disappointed the restaurant wasn’t open Friday/Saturday as there is not much within walking distance.
Excellent
Excellent
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but needs refurbishing. There was plenty of hot water. We arrived on Saturday evening and were told that the hotel restaurant is not open at the weekend. This is not made clear on the booking page. However, there was a private booking for 80 people, on Saturday evening, so the restaurant was open, but no tables had been reserved for other guests. Food outlets are extremely limited nearby so we had to drive into the city centre to find a restaurant. Multiple road works, 30km speed limit and appallingly poor town planning made it very difficult to find our way to a car park near the city centre. Not a good experience, after a long drive from Calais.
A couple of minor negatives but a great stay overa
Overnight stay en-route. Room immaculate with brilliant bathroom and powerful shower.Tesla EV chargers in car park. AC had failed but room not uncomforably warm
A very clean comfortable hotel
We booked an overnight stay. We’ve visited the Kyriad many times on our way through France and always find the rooms to be clean and comfortable, but our air conditioning unit did not seem to work, so we were too hot during the night. The bathroom was also very clean but our sink had a crack in it. The shower was good and the water nice and hot. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. We dined in the restaurant. The waiter was excellent and very attentive. The meal was very good. It’s a pity that the restaurant is not open at the weekend.
Très bien
Très bon hôtel de chaîne mais très qualitatif. On a adoré
We only booked this hotel because the details said it had a restaurant, and after a long journey we just wanted to relax at the hotel. When we arrived we were told that it was shut until September. At breakfast we were ignored for at least 15 minutes before we were finally seated. Unfortunately there was no food left to eat so we left and asked for a refund. The excuse we were given by a staff member was that it was a busy time! She did offer us all a hot drink which we appreciated.
Super hôtel
Malgre les draps de lits et le menage un peu limite j ai passe une excellente nuit Restaurant de l hôtel au top et serveurs sympa
Limited food offered in restaurant and strange not to have a bedside cabinet. Staff were superb helping us with a problem while there.
Great budget hotel
British couple. Mostly enjoyed the stay. Reception was bilingual, restaurant server was not but did their bestz Book your table early if you want to eat here, they had run out of a few things by the time we sat down to eat. The room was incredibly quiet with thick blackout curtains. We were disappointed with the air conditioning, which didnt cool the room well at all
A warm welcome when we arrived and we were well looked after by the staff.
New restaurant
We stay because it’s convenient when we’re on business. The restaurant has been upgraded and it is much better, nice and bright
Un hotel agréable dans une zone calme à 8 minutes du centreville en voiture. L'accueil du personnel était parfait.
Clean, comfortable and convenient
We regularly stay overnight at the Chartres Kyriad on our way south. We were given a ground floor room which was very convenient. The room looked like it had been newly painted and was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were very clean. There were plenty of electrical points to charge our devices.nThe bathroom was in good condition, very clean and the shower was excellent. The only disappointment was that although the website says there’s a restaurant, it isn’t open on weekends. Not ideal if you don’t already know to be prepared to go out again after checking, to find food outlets.
Overpriced for what I paid. Standard room was in need of refurbishment. Shower door needed attention and mould on sealant
Clean and convenient. The gentleman at the front desk as friendly and helpful. The beds and room were nice. We were happy we chose them!
We knew the restaurant was closed at the weekend but had hoped to find a meal within walking distance. We should have looked at Google maps - the hotel is a long way out of town so you have to drive to find a restaurant.
Excellent spot for overnight stay in Chartres.
Hotel looked new and fresh. Room was comfortable, clean, and larger than older hotels. Staff were friendly, especially those in dining room. Dinner and breakfast were very good.
Excellent customer service
Extremely helpful staff. We recieved an email informing us our teenager had unfortunately left something valuble behind having stayed for a brief stopover. Following a phone call, the hotel speedily researched postal costs, took payment and posted this item the same day to us at our holiday destination . Thank you Jennifer for your excellent customer service. Rooms were clean and quiet. Great choice at breakfast buffet. Plenty of parking and a huge number of charging points for electric vehicles!
Typica Kyriad. Room is well priced, meals overpriced, but good.
Good size room friendly and helpful stall good food and wine
Very reasonably priced comfortable hotel
We always stay at the Kyriad, Rue Gustafe Eiffel, Chartres as a half way point to our destination. It’s convenient for the N154. The rooms and bathrooms are always clean, the beds are comfortable and the showers are good. We usually have breakfast which is buffet style offering a good selection of food, freshly squeezed orange juice and excellent coffee.
We arrived late at night after a full day of travelling. We checked in fine and given our room number. When we arrived into the room it hasn’t been cleaned so back down to reception we go to be told they are understaffed and had problems. The young girl was running ragged managing the reception and restaurant. We understand to a certain degree with the aftermath of Covid but we were tired and not impressed that they had all day to clean the room (we arrived at 10pm at night) so not what we wanted to hear. She offered us a free drink and nibbles and called her colleague promptly to clean the room so we had to wait half and hour. We were patient enough but it was still not acceptable enough to be given a dirty room when we were ready to crash into bed. It could have been a different story if we had young children with us. However, the young lady did all she could with no help from management etc. I would still stay here again as the facilities are nice but shame about the lack of attention and staff management.
Great for stop overs
Second time I've used this hotel on a stop over on a long journey through France. It's good value with a great breakfast and plenty of parking. Comfy beds. It's not in town so not for staying for Chartres but perfect for stop overs. Staff actively helpful too.
A little disappointed
Our room was cold and we could not increase the heating. When we complained the receptionist just said it was because the hotel was full and there was not enough heat to go round the 100 plus rooms!!!! The drainage from the shower tray was almost non existent so had to keep turning the shower off to allow the water to run away. We have used this hotel on a regular basis for years but the standard has been declining. Last time, two months ago, there was a problem with the shower falling off the wall because there were screws missing. It seems that the standard of maintenance had not been kept up. Such a shame as the hotel is ideal, it has a large car park and being on the outskirts of Chartres it is easy to get into the centre.
Comfortable, very clean room and bathroom
We regularly book the Kyriad and are never disappointed. Good size, clean comfortable room with sockets for plugging in phone/iPad charger. Comfortable king size bed with very clean linen. Very clean bathroom and good hot shower. The only thing I’d mention is the shower seal in room 9 is discoloured and needs to be replaced and one of the towels had two holes in it. A very good buffet breakfast. We usually eat dinner in the restaurant but were disappointed that it is shut at the weekends. There is a burger bar 3minutes walk away but would have preferred to eat at the Kyriad restaurant.
Overnight stay
Comfortable hotel, friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast
Great stop over
Lovely hotel very clean great stop over on our way to spain definitely use it again dog friendly
another great stay at the Kyriad, Chartres
We always stay at the Kyriad, Chartres on our way to south west France. It’s welcoming, comfortable, very clean room & shower, very good restaurant and great value for money. Excellent Covid preparations and good clear instructions.
I have stayed here before, and it is a perfectly adequate hotel to stay in for one night if you are en route to somewhere else in France. It's a shame that the restaurants are never open on Weekend evenings, however, as all restaurants are currently closed because of the virus, it didn't make any difference to my stay.
Good hotel for the price
Noisy air conditioning in tve room. Otherwise ok
The Kyriad, Chartres.
We like the Kyriad because it’s convenient and is easy access to the town centre and the motorway. The rooms are usually very clean, the bed comfortable and the sheets are always clean. We weren’t happy with the cleanliness of our room and noise from traffic the last time we stayed but received a very prompt apology from the management. We were offered a room on the same side of the building this time but asked for a room facing the car park. The male receptionist was a little unwilling to accommodate our request but gave us another room facing the car park after I explained we’d complained about the room on our previous visit a month earlier and insisted on being given a room on the car park side of the building. The room we were given was clean, comfortable and quiet and we had a good night’s sleep before continuing our journey. I’m glad we gave the Kyriad another chance.
Great for our short stay. Good room size. Friendly helpful staff.
Very enjoyable, food excellent, would come again !
Very good value for money . Quite newly built with basic but perfectly functional rooms. A bit remote from the town but with its own bar and breakfast room . Handy for the main routes through Chartres .
Quiet hotel
Quiet Sunday evening with perhaps a quarter full Have stayed there many times Midway between Calais and the Mediterranean No restaurant on Sunday but restaurants are near Without sat nav the hotel is hard to find Good breakfast before 9am during the week Have meet the french swimming team there enjoying breakfast on one occasion
Excellent WIFI, friendly, convenient, good value!
Friendly helpful staff, convenient for overnight stay when on Road Trip, good facilities for budget hotel, excellent WIFI (was important for me)
Easy to find, close to major roads but in a quiet area. Not far from city centre and Cathedral. Friendly helpful staff, good size, clean room with sockets for charging mobiles etc. Comfortable bed, clean sheets & towels. Good hot shower. Good restaurant meals and breakfast.
Good stop over location
Always stop here. Good access, and plenty of safe parking
Very nice simple. Rooms a little small but nice and cosy. Quiet location
A well run hotel in a quiet location
Hotel ok,
Hotel clean and tidy. Breakfast two out of three days was ok. But one day went down at 9.30 Nothing much left. No more available according to waitress (breakfast was until 10am) so was disappointed. Mentioned it to reception who did give a small discount, but shouldn’t happen.
Nice hotel with secure parking
Meals and drinks too expensive especially breakfast.
comfortable hotel met our needs we stayed with our 2 dogs good room size
Overnight stay on the way from the Eurotunnel to the Creuse. Chose this hotel as we have stayed in other Kyriad Hotels over the years and found them to be very comfortable, clean and have lovely staff. This was no exception - comfortable, clean with lovely staff. Our only complaint was pay 13.5 euro per head for a very unexceptional breakfast. All the other Kyriad we have stayed in have a much wider offering. We felt that their breakfast was a "rip off".
One night's stop over
Such a relief toarrive after an horrific journey. Our 3rd stay. It is situsted in an industrial estate. Very modern.Food reflects this. Improved on previous years. Breakfast expensive but delicious.
Very good hotel
The staff who registered us was very pleasant. The room smelled clean upon entering the door. Space was good & bed was comfortable. Will stay here again.
Quiet and spacious hotel
Good hotel we have stayed there 6 times and are now recognized No restaurant on Sunday evenings but snacks are available Very good breakfast and morning paper is a nice touch Staff are very good, the location is quiet and the rooms are spacious and clean Directions can be confusing sat nav is helpful
convenient location
Very quiet but the first room had a faulty shower cubicle however we were given a good 2nd room. The breakfast was reasonable but expensive and the layout was disjointed and by 8.30am things were running out and places were not laid for later comers.
The hotel had been recently renovated and was nice. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and the front desk staff, especially Clement, was very helpful. Location was a bit outside the city in an industrial-looking area, but was quiet and peaceful. We'd definitely stay there again.
Great stop over point
We use this hotel on a regular basis. Easy to get to and good parking.
Just needed a place to sleep while visiting friend
Expedia did not send an email confirmation so I booked again and ended up with two reservations. Very disappointed in Expedia and this hotel. They claimed it's happened before.
Good place to stop en route to Spain
Just an overnight stay. Did nothing in the area.
stayed few times here before en route to sw france and return to UK. sometimes restaurant closed but this time open. had a lovely meal and happy hour for beer.
Good hotel but need more staff
Nice room and reasonably priced dinner on arrival. Hotel was understaffed and the breakfast offer was poor - food not replenished, broken coffee machines etc. A few more staff on a very busy weekend needed to make it better.
Only with car.
Out of town so only good if you have a car.
Great overnight stop
Stay there on a regular basis
Excellent stop over for onward trip
Have stayed in this hotel before and found it to be very well situated.
Clean and friendly hotel conveniently situated.
Friendly staff and very comfortable beds. Evening meal was very good.
A covenient overnighter, no more than that.
Cheap, on a huge industrial estate 3 miles from town centre. Seems underused. Minimally staffed, though new and modern in style.
Basic
There was no one on reception on arrival, having advised we would be a late check in. With only speaking a little French, it made it difficult to communicate with someone who spoke no English at all. One room was missing some of the refreshments that the other had (not restocked tea and milk). Clean enough beds and room if that's all you're after.
Great 5 hours of sleep after a wedding party...
Good experience: the receptionist was very friendly even at 5 a.m. The shower was a bit complicated to manipulate but very refreshing after 6 hours of sleep...it was a great short stay :)
Good but poor food!
Extremely difficult to find hotel, took about 20 minutes to finally locate after asking several people where it was, good job I spoke French! The food for the evening meal was very poor and very expensive for what we had. Staff were extremely polite and the chef accommodating in allowing me to place stuff in the hotel freezer.
Good stop over
Good hotel and very clean.no BBC world tv but all in all good
Clean, comfotable, friendly with easy parking
We use the Kyriad in Chartres as a stop over when travelling between the Dordogne and London. Never had a bad experience, the rooms are always clean, the beds comfortable, the staff friendly and there are plenty of parking spaces at the hotel. The room rates are competitive and well worth the price to get a good night's sleep and a warm shower, before hitting the motorways.
A Night in Chartres
This was perhaps the nicest hotel we stayed in during our two weeks in Europe. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was quite friendly. The only downside was that it is located in an industrial area that has zero places to eat. We ended up eating in the hotel restaurant which wasn't their strongest point. Overall, it was a very good place to stay.
Loved the jet shower, the hairdryer and the price. All round good value.
Comfortable modern hotel
We stayed here overnight to break up our journey from Calais to Cahors. Took a bit of finding but well worth the effort. Modern, clean and comfortable beds with dogs welcomed in bedrooms. The only downside for us was that as it was mid August, the restaurant was not open the night we were there (Friday) and the only person on duty was covering the Reception, the Bar and also preparing and serving snacks! Would definitely stay there again.
Location triple zero
This hotel location was a NIGHTMARE. No proper signs around the area. It took us over 2 hrs to get back to the hotel which was 5-6 mins away. Poor lighting. And an odd entrance. We had to block someone going into aB &B hotel and begged them to help us find the hotel. They said they were familiar with it but even they got lost while we followed them. There was no one at the desk most of the time. But the breakfast was very good for other food the restaurant was closed. The map they gave could have been better.
Just a highway stopover
Too far out of town and from any eating options. Really just a highway stopover, nothing bad, nothing good.
Late opening restaurant
The restaurant stayed open until 10pm which was very good as we arrived after 9pm after a long drive. However, the food left rather a lot to be desired.
Perfect, tranquil stop after transatlantic flights
This hotel is a calm refuge, in that the rooms are very quiet (calming decor, too: lavenders and light green); and its location just outside the autoroute offers views of fields and grazing horses. I find it easy to drive into Chartres-centre, now that I know the streets and where to park in town; so I have not eaten in the hotel itself. The reception desk staff has always extremely polite and welcoming.
Excellent stopover going south through France.
A good mid range hotel experience. Set on a business park, with conference facilities. No conferences were on when we visited so it seemed quiet.
Good overnight stop. Out of town.
perfectly adequate stopover hotel. Comfortable and a reasonable restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Out of town so not good for visit historic Chartres, cathedral etc.
Clean and Comfy close to Chartres
This is a nice enough place to spend a night on the way to the Chartres Cathedral. The place is clean and cozy. It would be nice if breakfast was included or more affordable, but it definitely gets the job done.
Useful stopover
Hotel was fine for us, as a place to spend a night whilst travelling South. Assured of security for the car with a well lit car park, which was fenced. A wee bit out if you want to see around Chartres
Great staff but room a bit tired.
Staff very friendly. Room a bit tired, carpet dirty and sticky, curtains hard to close. Bed very comfortable though, shower was excellent and facilities good. Food was a let down on the whole, my wife asked for steak mediumly cooked, it came very well done with cold oven chips. She would not let me send it back, so we gave it to the dogs who were very happy. The desert buffet was ok and the wine was nice. We have stayed before and thought it was excellent, so this time it may have just been a one off.
unexpected surprise
Good location if you want to avoid centre traffic
The Hotel was OK. Perhaps the destination instructions could be slightly more detailed to allow for access from all directions. The restaurant food was good but choice was limited. Also, I would suggest that menu information is translated into English.
Convenient to motorway
Clean and pleasant Hotel, very good restaurant and excellent service. The room was clean and comfortable with a large ensuite bathroom. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The wifi in the room was easy to use. There was plenty of parking . in a secure carpark in Hotel grounds. Avery good overnight stop for travelling South as near main roads and motorway.
One evening in Chartres
Hotel is just outside Chartres...look on the map to place it. Easy drive and parking to see cathedral and old preserved Chartres. Excellent for cleanliness, comfort, welcome and systems for check in and out etc. good parking and elevator. Restaurant a little expensive maybe but good looking and clean. Excellent value, quiet, near tourist things if you have a car. Many nice restaurants near cathedral area.
Useful stopover
Perfectly adequate but not as good as a previous Kyriad hotel we stayed in. The room was cold but staff did provide an electric heater, bathroom tap was wobbly and it was impossible to open and close bathroom door quietly (important in a double room!)
Overnight stop on way to the south
Just right for an overnight stopover. Comfortable room and good menu for dinner. Breakfast was enjoyable and every where clean and tidy. All the staff, particularly the reception staff very friendly and helpful.
Modern hotel
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Free parking in designated car park was great. The room was clean and modern but very small. It was a twin bedded room but hardly space to pull the chair from under the desk. The bathroom had a very good shower and was modern and superficially clean but could have (for the longevity of the good quality fittings) been slightly cleaner. Antical was needed but maybe I'm fanatical. The hotel was very quiet overnight. Excellent nights sleep. Breakfast was comprehensive and the staff efficient and friendly. We would stay again but perhaps request a larger (and pay for) a larger room.
Review for travellers
Unfortunately the restaurant was closed when we arrived. I would have liked it if we had been told about this in advance.
Clean and modern
The hotel was very clean and modern. Very helpful staff but shame we weren't informed on booking that restaurant was closed for two weeks in August. Difficult to find as road partially blocked and no sign to hotel!
Good hotel for overnight stop
Beautiful decor and fabulous evening meal cooked to order. Bed was rather too firm and pillows too flat for us but may well have suited others. Room smelt a bit "smoky"
Pleasant hotel but should look at the meals questi
The staff were young and inexperienced and we had no idea until we arrived that they do not serve evening meals at weekends so we had to go to another hotel to eat.
Nice hotel off the freeway for travelers with a ca
Very nice hotel with roomy rooms and nice services. We had a rental car as we drove around France so the location was good for us and had free parking. But; you are too far to walk to any of the attractions in Chartres and I did not see bus service near the hotel.
Useful midway stop and lose enough to visit the ci
Room was very comfortable, and quiet. Nice to have a kettle and coffee facilities. Wifi available, free, but a bit limited.
Great value!
Easy to reach by car if you have directions or GPS but not within walking distance of town / central to restaurants. Services are very pleasing as it is a newer hotel and location was very quiet. It is not very far from major highway so it is easy to get onto the route out of town the next day. Great for a restful stay as long as you don't want to be near the historic centre. Great price for a small drive out of the town.
A very comfortable staging point.
Arriving late reception was very welcoming, room excellent. Peaceful location, restaurant top class. Will come again. Thank you
Brand new hotel, very quiet location
The hotel is brand new, with good fittings, especially the great spa style shower. The room was spotless and had the usual Kyriad refreshments tray and kettle. The hotel is out of town, and very quiet, with parking free. We drove into Chartres, not expecting a great deal, but found an absolutely lovelly town centre, with eateries; and, an illunination display of lighting and sound effects all round town. Would recommend.
overnight stay
The hotel is slightly out of town on an industrial type estate which wasn't very attractive but it was easy enough to drive into Chatres with the satnav in a few minutes. The hotel was fairly basic but clean and friendly and the rooms were nice. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked quality. Being out of town it was also quiet at night which was great. Very good value for money.
Good value hotek
Great location & great staff. Excellent value for money very clean and newly refurbished
Excellent, what else can I say
Very new, very clean, very polite staff. OK, so it is in a business park at the edge of the city, but that meant it was very quiet as well. Had dinner in the restaurant, and apart from me misreading the menu so that we ended up with sweetbreads, that was fine too. Would definately stay again.
