Great spot on the Gordon's Bay waterfront about 2km west of city center. Views of Gordon's Bay and False Bay. About 40 minutes from CPT. Comfortable, clean, and friendly

Stayed for one night on our way to The Garden Route. Hotel was nice, quite large and modern. The best part was its location. It was right on the marina and so we were able to walk to several restaurant options. Sunset drinks and dinner over the marina was memorable! Hotel itself is clean and very nice. Parking was underground and secure. Overall, a good choice for a quick stopover.

I recently stayed at Krystal Beach Hotel and had an amazing experience. The check-in process was easy and quick, making for a stress-free arrival. The hotel offers great value for money, and the room was large, clean, modern, and very comfortable, with an excellent view. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The shower and bathroom were nice and well-maintained. The hotel is located in a great area with many different restaurant options nearby. The buffet breakfast was superb, and the live piano music created a relaxing and smooth atmosphere. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I will definitely visit again!

The room did have a few things that needed to be cleaned properly when we arrived, but housekeeping sorted it very quickly. The room and the view was beautiful. I will definitely be staying there again.

Great 1 night stay

Most Disappointing

A disappointing end to a wonderful trip to SA. Room was on forth floor, no elevator from 3rd to 4th floor. Had to haul our luggage up and down. (other hotels in SA had porter assistance). No hairdryer in the room, requested one from reception it didn't arrive. The television screen had two big white spots - internal lenses broken. Room was the smallest we had in SA. There was an issue with the sewers in the hotel and the underground carpark was flooded with a foul smelling water. Patrons transferred this on their footwear into the lifts which stank for the 3 days we were there. We had a nice meal one evening so invited 3 guests to join us on our final evening. Without doubt this was the worst, most disgusting dinner I have every had in a hotel anywhere in the world. I ordered a pork fillet, I got a lump of uncuttable gristle, on a sloppy gloopy mound with burnt vegetables. I was inclined not to make a fuss to avoid spoiling the evening but my guests noticed I wasn't eating. A weak apology from the manager worsened the situation. An offer of a replacement came too late, the 4 other diners had finished their main courses. Our servers remained courteous throughout, it was not their fault. I would probably not have written this review, except the Krystal doubled down with a weak, wringing hands apology the following morning - My meal was not charged on the bill seemed to be the cure all remedy. Not so Krystal this was a most disappointing event which spoiled our evening and stay.

The location, the property and the view surrounding areay

We had a very nice holiday, staff friendly, polite and helpful. Unfortunately, on our last day the service was very poor (maybe because it was busy). Drinks by the pool took over an hour to arrive, drinks were warm and part of order was missing. Additionally a burger that we had ordered was very very undercooked. The staff did rectify our order but all this took time which was a big shame on our last day.

Holiday South Africa

Our stay at this hotel was amazing. It was so clean, spacious and the staff were very friendly. Set in the perfect location and our room was overlooking the sea and harbor, with a spacious balcony. This is where i will be staying next time i visit.

A hidden gem and accidental find but so glad we came here to stay. Outstanding family room, which I felt was incredible value for what we paid. Very clean and comfortable, plentiful toiletries and amazing view. The communal areas of the hotel could have been cleaner but overall was acceptable. Breakfast was the only downfall for the duration of our stay. Very crowded, lack of tables, cutlery, food was sparse. Long waits for the coffee machine/chefs section.

Before arriving, we requested a cot for our little one. When we got there we had to remind them and they just put a single matras in the room. My husband ordered room service and waited and hour, when we phoned to follow up they never put the order in. We had no towels after the room was being cleaned so once again we had to go to reception. Overall our stay we did enjoy.

I loved the proximity to Gordon's Bay and will definitely be back.

We were staying off season so might be different when busy but hotel and rooms were very clean and breakfast buffet had many different options. Pool facilities were great and never crowded. Staff very courteous and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

On the Marina and sea views of the beach and ocean

Lots of great activities and resort amenities -- a challenging putt putt course, water slides, games room, and near a lovely coastal walking route.

Short overnight stay

Krystal Beach is a true gem with unique and very beautiful surroundings- Gordon's Bay Mountains, Harbor Island Marina, amazing Ocean and Mountains views. Very comfortable stay, nice services as always.

The property was absolutely beautiful. The view was breathtaking of the ocean from our room or outside walking deck. However, my issue is with the hotel service area. I paid for a two beds in my room and they gave me only one bed. The room was small and the bathroom area we didn’t like at all. This was very disappointing. They stated they didn’t have a 2 bed when I was upstairs on the floor talking with a supervisor. She stated that the 2 beds are reserved for families with children. Other than this the hotel museum was outstanding, food, bar, employees were outstanding 💯.

Our week long stay here was absolutely wonderful! The spacious beautiful room overlooked the Ocean with a balcony as well, staff was the nicest ever, and the restaurant 5 Star! This is a huge beautiful well-run hotel with every amenity imaginable set hey gorgeous Bay with incredible scenery!

Not a great start but came good.

We had booked a room with a sea view. When we got to the allocated room, it overlooked the rooftop of the spa. Back to reception where they changed the room without much drama. The second one was much better with good views over the ocean and marina. Good size bedroom and a large bathroom and lounge area with a small balcony. There's a nice pool area and sun loungers next to it. Outside there are a number of restaurants and bars within a few seconds walk on the boardwalk overlooking the marina. Breakfast was good too. Overall we'd stay again and would recommend.

Wind noise

With the high wind speed the room was very noisy and it was difficult to concentrate or sleep.

Late checkin

We arrived at 3 pm which is after the 2 pm checkin start time. Our room was not ready until 4:30. That was disappointing and frustrating as we wanted to unload and go. We had to check our bags at the front desk. Other than that, the stay was fine.

Great hotel

Stay was good. Just description of room very misleading. Aspecially paid more for a better view ( as described) but only got a parcial sea view. With an extra bit of view if you would go out at the back door . But there was no key fir that door.

This is a really great hotel. We had a Family Duplex room for us and our two small children - the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a lovely view over Gordons Bay. The hotel staff, and especially the restaurant staff provided really first class service. One tip - don't take the buffet breakfast option. The a la carte breakfast is amazing and excellent value for money. Do that instead.

BEST STAY IN GORDONS BAY

Best stay in Gordons Bay!!! Warm & inviting staff, pristine facilities, beautiful view.

This hotel is a nice place to stay for a couple of nights, but sadly the food isn't too good. The staff are friendly but when I booked the room, I booked a sea view room but was given a room overlooking the canals. Overall I would not recommend this hotel

Krystal Beach Stay - Not Pleasant

The unit we stayed in was all good. Problem was where the food we paid for Breakfast during out whole 8 day stay - we only used 3 days of it. It was not very good, eggs are so full of oil and tables always out of cutlery that was not a good experience for 4 star hotel. Housing keeping was a problem every day, every evening we got home we had to request towels, so they take the old towels but don't put any back. I personally wont recommend this Hotel I travel a lot for work and this one is one of the worst. I stayed in. There is Guesthouses in Strand with same 4 star rating that look after there clients better.

We had a lovely stay, Friendly service, lovely breakfast however I would suggest that the family suite should be on the Marina side. As was slightly noisy due to the parking lot being directly beneath the roo,.

Short transit stay

Krystal beach is one of my favorite hotels in Cape Town, it has a special nice marina vibe. Beautiful sea views and sound of waves from the ocean facing rooms, attention to every detail and amazingly delicious food at the restaurant downstairs. Highly recommended at least few nights stay for everyone visiting Cape Town!

Holiday fun

Me and my kids enjoyed it a lot. Kids loved the free wifi and the beautiful swimming pool. I loved the spa ofcourse. The food was excellent!

Amazing staff, amazing location but for a 4 star hotel a few things were lacking. There was no hand soap in our room. When we asked the room attendant she told us the hotel was out of stock. After enquiring at the front desk they did eventually manage to find us a bar. The in room coffee service had a variety of pods to use. However, they were all unlabeled and we got tea instead of coffee! Went to enjoy sundowners at the hotel’s cocktail bar. The bartender only person working and clearly overwhelmed. We ended up cancelling our order and going elsewhere. It’s the little things......
