The three stars are really only for the size of the room and for the fact that there is really not much in the area except the convenience store which also doubles as hotel registration. However, the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room, though small and lacking a microwave, did have a mini fridge and was very clean. Good stop in a pinch, during a long road trip, but not some place to spend multiple nights or a week, in our opinion.
Very clean and cozy.
The room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
ok place nice staff
Good place for stop during travel, but not comfortable.
The venue was clean and quiet, offering a restful night. I'd stay here again.
The rooms were small but liked the room in the bathroom. They let us check in an hour early which was a giant help.
I loved the peacefulness. There is nothing i did not like. I will be there again next year, thank you.
Property was well managed. The staff were helpful and courteous. Excellent convenience store on site. Was perfect for our quick stop on our travels through the area.
Reasonably priced near 4 corners
Check in was a little strange at the store. Problem getting into the outside door. Old, dated, but clean.
Nothing fancy but clean, quiet and overall a very good deal.
Clean parking lot
They kindly made it possible for me to check in after hours. The room was very warm as the A/C was not turned on, however, it quickly cooled down once we started it. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was large enough to feel comfortable. There was a convenience store next to the hotel, however it was very expensive. Over $7 for a can of beans.
This place was really clean, very nice. It was a tad small for 3 people, but we made it work. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Cute place, not much around if you arrive late. It is linked to a gas station so that has plenty of essential food items although quite pricey. There is a restaurant close by for breakfast, we didn't go there so cannot comment but it looks nice. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Situated among amazing scenery and Fort Bluff is just up the road which is worth a visit and you could easily walk to it. It's a good base for Monument Valley, Canyonlands etc too.
There needs to be breakfast
Loved the tree and shrub outside the window and watching the birds.
An older property, it could use some upkeep. The door to the central hallway for example was extremely hard to open. the staff was friendly and efficient, the room was clean, but for a property of this caliber it was seriously overpriced
Clean and comfortable. We had a good rest after a long travel day. Food at the “smoke house” across the street was very average.
Very clean and the staff are great!
Very nice staff
It was run by local people who were friendly
Matress was old and not firm.
EV car charger right down the street. Convenient and small but efficient room.
The room was small in a comfortably cozy way. It was a vintage roadside hotel that has been nicely updated.
A pleasant stay
It was a very nice stay overall. The shower was nice. The room was a little bit smaller than we like, but okay.
Nice little roadside hotel. Needs flooring update
I arrived right at closing, they called me in advance to let me know if I was late where they would leave a key. When I arrived they were closing but unlocked the door and checked me in. Very friendly, even when I held them up after closing. Its a road side motel, room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again.
Affordable, but Lukewarm Staff
I've stayed here before, and normally it's okay for the price. But in my last visit, the power went out. I attempted to get some answers from the employees at the front desk, but they locked the door in front of me. No answers, no explanation. The power was out for over 3 hours.
Needed rest
Great and needed rest
The room was OK, but small and dated. Check in was at the gas station next door by a clerk that could not be less interested in the customers. Way over priced.
I'm afraid our toilet wasn't working properly. Otherwise this place is a very good budget motel!
Good for one night stop
Old school road side motel
Clean and Quiet
This was a great place and staff were friendly. The place was very clean and quiet, a much needed stop after a long day of travel. No breakfast but coffee and burritos available at the store next door where you check in. Surroundings were beautiful and a short drive to Monument Valley. Not many dining choices available but did enjoy dinner nearby at the Smokehouse. Would absolutely stay here again.
Rm was adequate for 1 night.
Our experience was for a one night booking. Beds were not to good. Shower had plenty of hot water.
Property was clean everything was great except the room was quite small
Staff was really friendly and helpful and room was spotless.
What a great hotel, right on the edge of Bears Ears! All three nights were great. And I recommend the Comb Ridge Burger place right up the road -- great food, great patio, great service.
A very clean and quiet place to rest.
This motel definitely is in the middle of nowhere. The rooms are pleasant, very clean and obviously have been recently renovated. A very pleasant stay!
This hotel is very well run. The room was super clean, updated nicely and quiet. It was nice to have the picnic tables in the afternoon to share a beer and snacks. I highly recommend the Kokopelli.
Cool place
Friendly, convenient, cool surrounding area. Modest rooms, but we enjoyed it…
Kokopelli Stay Review
I really enjoyed my stay here. I couldn’t have asked for a cleaner room. When I initially arrived @ the motel, the lady who checked me in was very nice. After a long drive it was so nice to be greeted by a friendly face as well as staff member who did her job extremely well! However, the other 2 women (the one working in the store @ the time I checked in as well as a different woman who was working in the store the following a.m., when I returned my key) were both just the opposite - unfriendly & grumpy!!! Very unfortunate as the latter two sure put a damper on my stay!!! I also had trouble with my wifi connection but after the negative reception I received following check in, I was reluctant to have any contact with the latter two staff members!!!
Well kept, clean and quiet. We had just spent 10 nights at a Hampton inn in LA. Due to it being next to Sepulveda Blvd it was terribly noisy.
Smallish rooms but cozy, quiet and comfortable. AC was nice. Centrally located in Bluff (though everything is). Only complaint was that it didn't have a microwave.
Room was small, but was scrupulously clean and nicely decorated. Very quiet, plenty of hot water. Ice maker convenient to the room. Plenty of parking. Mattresses were a bit on the soft side.
Well updated and very clean
Would return
My boyfriend and I had Room 107, facing west to the yard and undeveloped grounds beyond. Though small, the room was truly cozy and had amenities like a fridge and a table with chair. The grounds, north lobby, and room were clean and well-maintained. Would return.
The property was clean and a great stay for the price i paid.
Extremely clean. Small.
Great place and perfect for our visit. Beds were comfortable, AC worked, the room and bathroom were clean and cozy. Staff were friendly and accommodating of our late night arrival. We had everything we needed and more than we expected in a small town on the edge of wide, open spaces.
Lovely place to stay!
Lovely place to stay! Clean, comfortable and easy access. Parking right by our room. Indoor entrance. Registration was next door at the convenient store. They wanted to know when we were checking in, so call or email ahead. No internet service in the areas around Bluff.
It's well located and the gal checking me in was great. For the price it was very disappointing especially the small compact room. If it would have been 1/3 the price or even 1/2 it would have a higher rating.
Small but very clean and tidy room. Bed was comfortable. A/C unit was a bit loud but did not keep us awake. Good for a overnight or short stay while in the area. Would recommend.
The room was spotless and the staff very friendly and willing to help. It was very quiet and very safe
Nothing fancy but it was clean and no smoke, pet or other odors. I
Clean and comfy
For a budget hotel I found this more than satisfactory. I appreciated that the office closes at 10 pm and when we hadn't checked in by 8:30 they reached out to see if we were still coming. If you are looking for a deluxe experience this is not your motel. If you want budget friendly, clean and comfy you will be fine here. I would stay again. Convenience store with a big selection of snacks and gas is attached.
Clean, affordable, good tv and shower.
Poor
TV didn’t work, Wi-Fi didn’t work, when we called the front desk for help, no one answered.
A good place to stay that is clean but the WFi is not great and the options for getting a meal in the area are limited
Been there before several times. Coming back through on another trip
They advertised a restaurant but there was no breakfast and onlt frozen pizza. Will stay at elseware next time
Quiet little motel with comfortable furnishings. Perfect for the hiker who will be out and about all day but in need of a comfortable bed, shower, and a refrigerator for foodstuffs.
Only possible problem was small beds and cramped bedroom area
They need to realize we are back to a more normal state of mind, we are well, passed using COVID as an excuse for not including the breakfast advertised or at least compensate guest in some way, maybe voucher for a local restaurant. Wi-Fi was terrible.
The AC unit in room 125 needs to be replaced or serviced. It works, but not well enough at 100 degrees outside.
The beds in 123 have seem better days
Quaint little Motel
this is a small quaint, very clean motel. The rooms are small but so is the price for the area. It served its purpose, to provide a comfy place to stay for the night. I have nothing bad to say. I would absolutely stay there again.
Hard to say about the area. Due to the heavy dust storm we retreated to our room and stayed there. The area looks like a fun lace for rafting, kayaking and mountainbikng based on the vehicles carrying same
Quick check-in, clean ok-sized rooms.
A lovely village and surrounding views.
A very comfortable quiet place to rest for the night. If I’m passing through Bluff again, you are #1 on my list. Thank you!
The room was well-equipped with a good bathroom and shower and everything was very clean. We arrived late and the staff made the extra effort to ensure we could check-in to our room. Thank you so much! :o)
The parking lot was not very well lit and very secluded. The check in process was also kind of stranger, counter was in the gas station next door.. It's nothing particular about the room. , But for 108 a night , I would expect breakfast and better amenities. I wouldn't recommend this motel . Or even the town for my next stay because of you arrive after 8 , there's nothing to eat there.
Restful
Rooms are very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The owner made sure we could get into our room even though we arrived super late. Excelllent.♡
just a nice little property you probably wouldn't want to stay more than a night or two in. clean, but tiny. older modular building..no grounds. next to the only mini mart in town. no microwave. fine for a night..other better options close by but were seasonably closed
Expedia confirmation claimed a breakfast. Property was not providing one. Would not stay there again.
Clean, quiet and comfortable.
Simple motel, wonderful location.
We were here in October for the Bluff Arts Festival. I would call this a fairly simple, totally adequate, very clean, motel. At a good price for the area. A good place to sleep at, and then spend your day enjoying the town and nearby attractions and wonderful scenic places.
While the rooms are small, they are squeaky clean. The rooms are quiet. It was nice to have WIFI, which I needed for work, but the bandwidth dropped when more guests arrived in the early evening. The staff were very approachable and responsive.
Convenient
The beds were too soft; probably need to be replaced. It would make sense to make some of the rooms a single queen bed instead of two doubles. It was nice and quiet on the far end; rooms 126 and 127. There is no continental breakfast although the web site still shows it in photos.
Cheap building but otherwise good
Hotel building is cheap prefab construction but room was clean and well equipped, small but reasonably comfortable and quiet. Surprisingly good TV. Hot water. Not a bargain at $125 but acceptable these days.
lovely thanks
It needed a lot of updating. It was a bit shabby especially for the price. But it was one of the only places in town and the staff were wonderful!
Ok but nothing special
Room was acceptable but better stays can be had elsewhere in town.
Laverne is very pleasant and also offered a few dining options.
Nice place for a night.
NIce efficiency. Very clean. Nice view of scenery out window. Very quiet.
It's a nice stopover motel, don’t expect too much. I could hear the neighbors quite well and their light shone through the upper wall between us
Just okay . . .
Basic room with beds, TV, and a small round table. Separate bathroom with fridge in alcove. Nothing particularly bad about it, but you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere. Nice to have a convenience store 50 feet away.
OK One Night Stop
Half way between Vail, CO and Phoenix, AZ, so a good place for a quick stop. Was running very late, so the nice lady at the desk called to tell me they close early and she would leave my key on the door of the office. Thoughtful service.
Great Lil town with the nicestpeople livingthere.
Super smooth check in. Staff the best. Great room. Staff recommend a local steakhouse. Total situation was fantastic. Plan on staying on return from Steam boat CO…
Comfortable Kokopelli
We always stay at the Kokopelli Inn when we pass through Bluff. It's attractive and comfortable. The showers are nice and hot.
The ladies who run hotel were super nice and accommadating. They waited for us after the office had closed for the night. Rooms were very, very clean as well as the bathrooms. Would totally recommend
Right in the heart of Bluff (and across from the laundromat that they own, which I found convenient). Bluff is a special place in the world, and this small hotel was in the heart of it.
Excellent staff. Friendly and efficient. Convenient location.
This place is great ! The only minus I saw was the young lady running the register in the store does not have people skills She is rude whereas the lady that checked us in was fantastic!

Room was out dated. Bed’s are old.
