Worst hotel in Bali for sure

In all seriousness, do yourself a favour and book somewhere else. The rooms are old. They smell. The bathroom are dirty. Pool unclean.

Please do yourself a favour and remove this property from your listings! They provide nothing that they advertise on here! I’d much rather pack a tent and stay in there on my holiday than stay there again. As a travelling musician I have stayed in some shady places all around the world but this place takes the championship by far!!! DONT STAY HERE!!!!

Absolutely digusting place First they had no knowledge of my booking already paid . They showed me the room sunk very musky. The pool had brocken and missing tiles , there was only 1 longe to lay on around the pool which had no cushions

We stayed in the Deluxe room that we stayed in last year. It's literally 280m to the beachfront. Everything worked fine for the price. When we noticed the pool was getting dirty, 48 hours later it was cleaned and good. If you ask very politely it takes about 24 hours to fix a problem. The staff's English isn't great. It's quiet and a good low budget hotel very close to the beach. There's only one old sun lounge. The breakfast lady at the small front shop was very nice. You can order breakfast from the reception and she prepares it. Be sure to request a hot water kettle. A polite request and a big smile goes a long way in Bali. The location is super central. You are within walking distance of loads of stuff including Poppies 1, Bemo Corner and Matahari supermarket. We stay here because it's very cheap and the location is superb. Because it was so cheap, we could go to Ubud and Nusa Lembongan for a few nights each while leaving most of our things in our room at Kodja. The room had a good 32 inch TV (we use our own portable DVD player with it because their aren't any English channels). The air conditioner works well. The king size bed is comfortable. We'll be coming back again next year.

Don't stay here

This place is very run down. Pool water was green, room was dirty, dead bugs on floor, bathtub bottom was damaged and had rust shards sticking up. Turned on water to rinse our feet and water was brown and water did not drained. Luckily we only were there a few hours before our flight home. Would not recommend.

Cheap and Great location

The overall was excellent experience, the price was cheap and close to Kuta beach.

Good hotel & Location

Good hotel with friendly staff, rooms comfortable. No English TV channels. Very good location with a pool. Good for 1 or 2 nights.

For $25 Aus a night, we only stored our luggage before our flight... would not recommend staying there as bathroom was unusable!!!

You get what you pay for

I like Bali, and hotel that I stay also nice. It's silent and have swimming pool too. Price not so expensive and staffs are all friendly. I wish I can go there soon again l.

Very Budget

This hotel has some pluses: A beautiful pool, close to the beach and some good restaurants, staff all very friendly and helpful, breakfast delivered to your room, medium budget price, and quiet as back from the road. On the downside : the breakfast had very limited choice and wasn't too nice, there were 3 pool loungers which were all broken and filthy, no fridge in room, aircon as noisy as a tractor, bed hard, wifi only by pool and lobby. If it wasn't for the beautiful pool I would have to give it only one star for being reasonably cheap.

Not fantastic

The only advantage is, it's situated at a good location with stretches of cafes/bars/spas/supermarket(5mins)/kuta beach(5mins) /hard rock cafe. Hotel staffs are relatively friendly. But the rooms are not well-maintained and lack of amenities. For the same price paid, Bali Summer Hotel (2 doors away) would be a better deal and the rooms are slightly better there.

Wouldn't stay here

Our room had a fan, no towels or no rubbish bin. The sheets where dirty, the floor wasn't swept. It's very old fashioned. Nice pool, nice location right in the heart near shopping and the beach if your walking everywhere. Little hard to find, the blue sign is up in the air so it's a bit hard to find as its at the very back of the street.

Good location , room cheap and nasty

Good location to beach, very nice pool area. The room and every thing about it was old and worn out. The bathroom was a bad joke. Better places for better price.

Beautiful guest rooms, relaxing pool

The staff here were wonderful! Our room was lovely and spacious. Kuta Beach is very busy, but when you were relaxing by the hotel pool or in the garden you did not hear the noise from the streets. We enjoyed our complimentary breakfast on the patio and read by the pool.

Room needs ventilation fan

This is a great budget resort with VERY SIMPLE breakfast served to your doorstep. the toilet of my room (A1) seriously need some upgrading works and suggest that owner install a exhaust fan in room or toilet for good ventilation. Also the towels smells maybe due to the wet weather when we were there in July. Overall this is still a great place with a nice pool and walking distance to Kuta Square and Discovery Mall. Will be back for sure.

Not for us!

Big room however air con didn't work properly so it was hard to cool down! The bed mattress was shaped weird so I was lying in a bump & my partner was falling off it!! The shower had nothing to sit the shower head on so you had to hold the shower handle in one hand & try wash yourself with the other!! Bath not maintained & clean enough to fill up! It does NOT have cable channels (but it said it did on the brief) it's a small very old TV. Wifi was broke the first couple of days & only worked around the pool! Location great but you get bothered by all the local shop owners and every other dodgy person from Bali trying to sell you cheap fake stuff and offering drugs!!! They all just hang out sitting on bikes, stopping you in the street and making you feel uncomfortable, so we didn't want to come out of the hotel (it's not the same 10 minutes down the road in Seminyak, so stay there if you can). Pool clowdy, dirty floors & only 4 sun lounges between all people staying there...that was entertaining watching everyone fight for beds all day!! Staff nice and friendly & if you pay for breakfast they will take your order the night before and deliver to your room in the morning which is nice. Overall I would only stay here again for 1 night if you had to! Good luck walking down the main road!

ideal location

kodja beach hotel is ideally located just off the main road. a couple minuets to the main beach.

Hotel is in good proximity to beach and airport. Courtyard and pool area are poorly maintained. Staff is friendly. Room was clean.

Basic but adequate. Ideal location

The room itself was very basic, but for the price you wouldn't be expecting much more. Having said that, the room was neat and tidy. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, the pool was great, and the breakfast was fantastic. The location was ideal and is probably the biggest benefit

The hotel is well located to Kuta

The king size bed was as hard as concrete, the first room I was shown was mouldy and smelled accordingly. The room was clean but quite old. My outside bin wasnt emptied. The cleaning was very good inside The shower had little pressure. I changed hotels and for only a few more dollars a day have a far better hotel

Nice place

Nice place, worth it if you get the deal on last minute. Not worth it if you pay full price. Pool is lovely. Breakfast is horrible. Great comfy King size bed but the bathroom has that horrible smell of mothballs. Was able to check in at 3am though after a late flight which was fantastic. Great location as well.

An Excellent Stay For Budget Travellers

A no-frills hotel that's in the middle of Kuta, so no complaints considering the price. Just next to Hard Rock Hotel. Stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every second of it. Quiet too. If you don't mind it being basic but clean, this is the place. Staff are also very friendly and accommodating. Preferably for solo travellers or couples on a budget. Thanks Kodja!

Place in a great location

The hotel is right in the middle of Kuta but it's very quiet, rooms are great for the price. Cool large pool and great breakfast. It is a budget place but we really enjoyed our stay in there and would definately stay again.

I was lucky to get upgraded to their premium rooms. It was a lovely stay even if just for one night. The only thing I didn't like was the mothballs they put in the bathroom (not sure what they use this for) that gave a very strong smell to the room (I disposed of them and then things were perfect). Overall the service was very friendly and they try to accommodate your needs as much as possible. The room was super clean and modern, the ambiance very very nice. I got much more than I expected for the price I paid. The location is great because it's very close to the beach, to nice restaurants, but a distance enough from the loud bars (that you can still walk to in a few minutes). Definitely recommend this place. I would totally go back.

Despite how cheap, still not worth the money!

There is no proper shower really despite it says there is, basically they have put a showers head on the bath tub, it was also cold and no where to hang the shower head so you had to hold it yourself. Breakfast was not great, room cleanliness was poor including dead cockroaches. Pool was good and Wifi was good, however no wifi in the room.

Would rather pay more elsewhere!

We needed to stay one night near the airport and so chose this cheap room as the reviews were one of the highest in the price range. The positives: Location is not too far from bars/restaurants but you don't get the noise The negatives: Staff could not assist with any queries at all or even take your luggage The room is very old and the bed was hard and uncomfortable The place stinks of mothballs The shower was an old short rubber shower head over the bath, and the walls had plaster obviously caked on on and on for many layers There was no hot water Breakfast was cold. The Indonesian noodles were ok but the egg was burnt on the bottom and that's all you get. There was no milk provided for coffee

Close to the beach and the shopping Centre

I stayed 9 nights in this hotel. I would say that it quite a good deal for the price I payed. The staff was nice and they helped in the best of their abilities.

Bali experience

I reached the hotel nearly midnight. The hotel staff had no problem giving us the keys and take us to our rooms without much question (as we have booked our rooms earlier). Hotel location is very strategic because it is near to the shops and a walking distance to the Kuta beach. Apart from the mosquitoes its worthwhile to stay in this hotel.

Beautiful little Hotel. The hotel room was freshly renovated and clean. Bed was super comfortable. Nice garden with a Pool. Pool was clean as well. The Hotel Crew was very friendly. My flight back to Mel was at 11.30pm and it wasn´t a problem to get a latelatelate check out! The breakfast was a bit light but you can find a lot of good coffee shops around the hotel. (300m to the beach)

Cheap and good

Room was clean, bathroom smelled a little bit, shower didn't work very well, staff tried to help as good as they could understand us, pool area was good, got breakfast in room, very cheap and good

Central to beach area, shops, tours, shoes, food.

The bungalows are old however they are comfortable. The staff always willing to provide clean sheets, towels, toilet paper and bottled water. Pool lovely to swim in surrounded by tropical gardens with mango, coconut, star fruit, custard apple and avocado trees. Frangipani, desert roses and other tropical flowers are lovely. Always book a room with an air conditioner otherwise you will only get an overhead fan with a standard room. Also only the deluxe rooms have a small fridge. Need to ask for a hot breakfast as Indonesian people eat their food cold due to using their fingers as they don't want to get burnt fingers eating hot food. We enjoyed our stay for 14 days and felt very relaxed. Shops nearby, eating houses, D Summer and Yulia's and Carla Spa, lovely massages and reflexology.

Not bad fot the money....good location, but avoid cheapest rooms..

Very little good to say

The night attendant gave away our reservation and put us in an inferior room that did not have adequate air conditioning, two single beds when we paid for a king, no water, used soap in the shower, two of the three lights did not work and when the power went out due to a storm, was the ONLY hotel in the area that did not have a generator. The shower head was covered in rust and calcium and the faucet was covered in used soap film and toothpaste residue. The included breakfast is at a restaurant down the street. There are new owners and managers but I will not give them a second chance.

ビーチ、買物に最適！

ビーチまで徒歩５分。MATAHARIまでも同様。また、レギャン通りまでもすぐで、とても立地の良い場所。 建物は古めだが、プールもあり、エアコンやテレビなどの設備は十分。部屋によっては浴室の配水口からゴキブリがコンニチハする事もあるが、値段相応かそれ以上だと思う。 スタッフは、こちらから何か言わなければ、話し掛けてくることもなく、大人しい。

サーフィンする為に1週間泊まりました。 クタビーチ まで問題なく歩いて行ける距離にあり、コンビニ、ランドリー 、食事、両替何でも近くにあり場所は最高に良い‼︎ それに街中なのにとても静か‼︎ 地元のバリニーズが部屋に遊びに来たが静かで昔のバリを思い出すと言ってた。 コテージみたいになっている為、隣を気にする事もなく落ちつけた。 深夜にチェックインしたがスタッフも対応してくれたし、帰りの空港送迎もサーフボードがありタクシーが使えなかったがスタッフが用意してくれて、しかも値段も安く、大変助かった。 部屋は古いがサーフィンする為、多少汚れるので気を使うことがなかった。 古いのだけ大丈夫であれば是非オススメ‼︎ 夜に少し部屋にいて、寝るだけで日中は部屋にいない為、寝るだけで良いなら全く問題ないです。 値段を抑えたい場合などは良いです。 この価格でこの場所なら、また利用はします。 プールの水もキレイでロケーションもバリ島らしく良いよ‼︎ 口コミを見て多少不安はあったが、全然問題なくすごせました。

格安なので設備の古さは仕方ないですね

ビーチへの近さはさすがに良いです。レストランやショッピング行くなどロケーションは素晴らしいですね。設備の手直しが必要ですね。
