Cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed at anywhere in the world, top to bottom. Attentive, caring staff in every part of the place. Free excellent self laundry machines, 24 hr snacks and coffee. Excellent plentiful breakfast and even a free nighttime light meal on offer. Super location, right downtown. Very reasonable price. Only complaint: taxi company they have on call has surly, unfriendly drivers- any other local cab would be better. We were there 6 days and tried at least 2 others who were much better. Strongly recommend the Kindness Hotel- they really live up to their name!

This hotel was excellent value for money. We didn’t realise but the price included breakfast, dinner and snacks throughout the day. The hotel was conveniently located near the station.

I am not sure if it is due to the low tourism at this time, but we were given free breakfast free dinner free snacks and free drinks! Wonderful live singer during dinner. Spacious room with all amenities. We wish we could have stayed longer

The hotel should be named Super Kindness Hotel. Free drinks, coffee, ice creams, and coffee-jelly and tea- jelly among others make this hotel most hospitable and unique among others. I enjoyed my stay there immensely.

Really good services. Great selection of food for breakfast.

This location was very easy and close to the Hualien station. It’s about a 8 minute walk. On the way, you pass by at least two Family Marts and one 7-11. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of the breakfast or dining area. There are close restaurants within a couple blocks walk for boba tea, dumplings and beef noodle soup. We didn’t take advantage of the free bicycles either since it was raining. The staff was very kind and assisted with hailing a taxi. Service was great. Would def stay here again in Hualien.

Full courses, many choices for evening snack, it can be seen as a dinner. Short walking distance from train station.

Came to Hualien to see Taroko National Park and really enjoyed our stay at the Kindness as it truly was kind. The staff is super friendly and we took advantage of all their free offerings - bike usage, 24-hour coffee, tea and ice cream bar, breakfast and dinner included with music too! And snack bar from 3-10pm. What’s not to love?!

Impressive! Highly recommended and will definitely stay again if visit Hualien. So many people actually went for the free supper provided 8-10pm as though for dinner. Free 3hrs bike rental to night market was fun and good experience.

Way exceeded my expectation. Apart from the breakfast, the hotel offers afternoon snacks (drinks and biscuits) and supper. It also has washer machines (with detergent) and dryers offered free to guest.

Close to train station. Clean facility. Free food. Free laundry machines. Excellent front desk service.

Kindness Hotel was one of the best hotels we have stayed in so far. Great service, comfortable room and their attention to details was amazing. The breakfast and dinner buffet were all included in the price. We will definitely recommend it to anyone who visits Hualian, Taiwan.

We stayed 2 nights. Convenient to train station and good launching point to explore Taroko Gorge. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Our stay included the breakfast buffet, which was excellent and had a good variety of items to choose from. Our package also included a late-night (after 8PM) dinner buffet, but we did not try it, as there are other restaurants nearby. Overall, a great value. I would stay here again.

Great

Staff were incredibly friendly from check in to the waitstaff to the cleaners. It was a great area if you run or renting a bike as there are km after km of bike paths.

The hotel is well maintained and service is excellent. It also includes free breakfast, all day coffee and ice cream, and a late evening buffet. It is only 5 minutes walk from the train station but not close to the main shopping area.

Very modern hotel, equipped with lots of electric plugs. Wifi is good. Bed comfy and clean. We just stayed one night passing by Hualien so did not really explore the area. Breakfast has good selection.

Clearly a good place to stay

We had a great time staying at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The rooms are clean and spacious. They even provide an awesome selections for midnight snacks. Walkable to the train station, and food places

I was given a cigarette-infused room upon check in for a 4 night stay (even though the hotel is supposed to be smoke-free). Right away I asked for a different room but the front desk lady insisted the hotel is supposed to be smoke-free (She was basically saying it’s impossible that anyone would ever smoke inside the hotel room). I insisted that there indeed was strong cigarette smell in the room. She then offered to send one to come to our room to “verify”. I asked for a different room but the man offered an air purifier in the same room instead. I insisted on changing room and therefore they gave us a different room after spraying air freshner in it. In general, the room smelled of old socks and dirty feet but from time to time when we return to the room the smell was worse. A couple of hours before we were supposed to check out (nov 16) , our bathroom was suddenly filled with strong cigarette smell (a neighbor in the hotel was smoking in their bathroom). Thus I had to quickly pack my stuff and leave the room in a hurry. I informed the front desk about this issue but she seemed unsurprised and just said that she will “send someone up to check later” and no apologies. I feel that smoke-infused rooms and the issue of people smoking in their rooms in this hotel is likely a frequent issue. Having strong policy against smoking inside the rooms and penalties would be helpful. Having staff who would treat this issue seriously is much needed as well.

Wonderful Hotel

Amazing service and extra bonus with a perfect buffet breakfast and dinner included!

Great hotrl room, plenty of space, great breakfast and many extras like free coffee 24/7 and late night supper also included.

Honestly, one of the best values I’ve ever had in my 4 years of international travel. Everything is included with check-in, including FREE washers and dryers, along with detergent. Free “midnight snack”, free breakfast, and free bike rentals. The room was very large, and the shower includes separate shampoo and body wash for men and women (different scents). Recommended to the highest degree.

The facility is super clean. The public toilets next to the lobby is surprisingly private, clean, and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable Stay

The stay was nice with a welcoming staff. Supper and breakfast included was varied and tasty. Free coffee throughout the day and even live music during dinner, which made it quite a festive atmosphere. Room was clean although a little dated, and bathroom had wall mounted soap, conditioner, etc. The seal around the shower wasn't great so sometime the water leaked to the floor The only downside is the room and hallway had a slight damp/warm odor, so we had to keep the air conditioning on all the time, but once the air conditioning was on, the damp odor dissipated. Close enough to easily walk to the train station if suitcases have wheels.

Good location (close to Hualien train station), staff were friendly and accommodating, room was clean and comfortable. breakfast and night-time food was good. Saxophone performance at hotel (night-time) was delightful.

I like everything about the hotel especially the staff and the cleaning of the room.. There is one problem that bother me is the room have smell. I have allergy therefore any smell would bother me , so I would have to take allergy pills otherwise everything is going well.

I stayed at the hotel Kindness for two nights . The hotel was very comfortable, clean and the staff were very helpful and professional. They give you a free evening supper every night which is a great bonus and they have self service washing facilities for clothes which is great

Nice hotel at the city center, check-in was a breeze, rooms are as advertised. The kids love the 24 hour ice cream, juice, & coffee corner. Night time snacks are offered from 8:30-10 pm, breakfast buffet offers an extensive spread, all these are included in the room booking!

Very nice experience, staff are all really friendly, can borrow bike to explore the city, have free after tans midnight snacks, Tom is comfy and bath is nice, the only downside is the hair dryer, it will take a while for long hair gal to dry it, but other than that, it’s a good experience, definitely recommend

It was a wonderful stayed. Services from all the staff in kindness hotel were outstanding and professional. We were delightful while our staying. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We also took advantage of its laundry facility which was well organized and clean. Hotel itself is very close to train station. It took us about 5 minutes walking to reach the hotel from train station.

Nice hotel in Hualien

I really enjoyed my stay at Kindness hotel. With the free breakfast, dinner, and coffee and ice cream any time I want I spent almost nothing on food. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is amazingly nice, they bow everytime you pass them!! Definitely gets my vote for my next trip to Hualien. It is walking distance from the train station too which on a nice day is another cost savings. Definite recommend from me Expert Level: Frequent business Traveller

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect. Has both breakfast buffet and late dinner buffet (with less options). It was pretty much the same items everyday, but if only here for one night then it is pretty good. Cakes and Ice cream and coffee/tea are available all day. Free laundry services - thought it does get quite busy as usually there are a lot of group tours that stay overnight here. Room was spacious and staff were really friendly. A bonus is that they have free bike rentals, so we were able to ride the bikes around the area. It is also very close to the main train station.

Nice centrally located hotel in Hualien

Nice centrally located hotel in Hualien, easy reach to the Taiwan Rail station, most offices, shops, hotels and restaurants are nearby... Staff are very nice and very helpful. Breakfast staff vey nice,.... as we are strict vegetarians, there was a limited choice of dishes in the buffet, and for the 3 days we stayed there, every morning and evening, it was the same food. Staff did not offer to prepare anything special for us....but the free ice creams and tea/coffee service is fantastic, and its vegetarian.

Great place to stay near Hualien station

We stayed for a couple of nights to allow a relaxed day trip to Taroko Gorge. This hotel worked very well for the purpose as we arrived and least by train and it's about a 5 minute walk to the station. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Indeed it was much larger than expected. The hotel offers a breakfast and a "midnight" snack (really 2030-2230 or so) and both were quite comprehensive, though certainly geared mainly to local tastes. Staff were friendly, despite our lack of Mandarin and their limited English. Self-serve laundry machines (and soap) are complimentary but do get busy despite there being eight washer-dryer pairs. The machines are large so good for catching up during a vacation.

The Kindness Hotel Hualien Main Station truly lives up to it's name. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, modern design and filled with lots of toiletries. Lots of choices for breakfast. All day ice cream, tea, and coffee bar is a nice plus. Also, the "midnight snack" is an extra added treat, We appreciated the free self serve laundry after a sweaty day of hiking in the Taroko Gorge. All of the machines had mandarin operating buttons that proved a bit challenging, but eventually figured it out. The biggest downfall is that food outside of the hotel is limited. More choices in main part of town and it is only $100-$150 NT for the taxi ride. Other than that, really enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel with good food n snack

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely hotel. We booked business class n had 2 big bed good for 4 pax. Food are good, snacks are great. Services are excellent too. One of the best hotel over my one week stay in Taiwan. Free bicycle are available too but we did not use as both days were raining. We had no language barrier as we speak mandarin but staff looks professional. We asked to book a round trip taxi but staff helped us to arrange a half day taxi which was a plus for us to go more than one location. We even checked for their hotel at other location as this is a place that really made us feel at home !

The hotel was near the station but not near the shopping/night market areas. We took a taxi to the night market on the first night and borrowed the bikes to roam around town on the second. The room was very clean, bathroom clean and well equipped. Washing machine area was nice and clean though the instructions were not in English so some guesswork was challenging. Breakfast (included) had many dishes to choose from. Late-night snack also free and had many dishes (somehow similar to breakfast which was strange) fruits and sweets.

Itchy bed

Woke up with bites and an itch every morning. Free ice cream though and the complimentary supper soy Bean curd is excellent.

Nice hotel

This hotel is very nice and new we stayed in the room has two king size beds so much rooms that you can sleep four people easily. Only suggestion we like to give is we hope they put a safe in the room so it will be easily for travelers. Also the dinner time set at 9 pm it is too late should move up to 7 pm at least.

The best stay in Hualian

We stay two night, the hotel is about 5 min walking from the train station. The hotel worker are extremely professional and helpful. We borrow the free bike to ride to 7 star beach (30min) and night market. The hotel come with free night snack and breakfast which is buffet style with good variety. The room is comparable to some of the best hotel I stayed. So me and my wife can fully enjoy and relax in the hotel. We will for sure stay again if we are in the area

A pleasant stay

My family stayed here the night before our trip to Taroko. This hotel was opened just few months ago so everything is clean and new. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful too. We had one family member joined the trip last minute, and the hotel was able to upgrade us to a bigger room (with paying the extra person charge). Best thing is that they offer free breakfast and night snacks (9pm-11pm) every day. The selection of food is big. Only issue is that they was asking for the hotel confirmation number, and the confirmation number I got from Hotels.com wasn't the number they were looking for. But they checked me in anyway after I showed them the email from Hotels.com.

Walking distance from train station

Hotel is close to the train station and transport hub. As regards the hotel, one thing I never experienced in other hotels, was free supper which commenced at 2100 and ended 2300. Many guests went and enjoyed the supper which served congee, noodles, fruits, cakes, ice creams, coffee, tea, etc. Staff were nice and very polite. Good location. Just one minor thing, though i stayed in a non-smoking floor, I could smell 'old' smoke in the corridor. It would be nice if this smell could be removed.

Great hotel to stay in Hualien, Taiwan

Great hotel with amazing breakfast buffet. Providing free washer/drier with detergent. Opened new Feb 2015. Staffs are very courteous and professional. Bathroom has tub and separate shower. Overall a wonderful experience. Will definitely stay there again in the future.

Very good hotel

This hotel appears to be newly renovated and the room we had felt unused. Very modern and clean. The hotel overall is very good, has free tea, coffee and soft drinks all day. Plus free ice cream. Breakfast is very good and they also put on snacks for free from 9pm as a supper. What more can you ask. They have a free self service laundry too. Only gripe was leaving my jacket in the tea area, which was not handed in. Hard to blame the hotel although the staff were not overly concerned about finding it.

服務人員都很親切，但櫃台check in稍微有點慢，可能是過年期間人員只有兩個吧。

人員服務態度很好，但check in的速度希望可以稍微加快。房間隔音不是太好，如果隔壁房間較吵鬧可能會被影響。

台北から2時間30分の花蓮にあるこのホテルに3泊。朝食まあまあで、無料の夜食が20時から始まる。温かい麺、饅頭、その他料理でお腹いっぱい。日中はフリードリンク、アイスクリームがあり、15時からもスナックあり。部屋もクリーン。東大門夜市もタクシーで10分。一起来熱炒の店で豚肉炒飯、炒山蘇、塩で魚全体を焼いたものが美味しかった。
