Our room was very nice, extremely clean and comfortable.

I would recommend this place. Very nice and well centered property and staff.

Convenient location

Great location, near San Marco and the busy streets (right by the designer boutiques!) but set slightly away so it was quiet in the room. Air conditioning was a godsend! Staff were friendly and helpful, continental breakfast was good, room fairly spacious for a compact city but it was a little dated (like a lot of Venetian hotels). Overall really enjoyed our stay.

Good enough

This hotel served its purpose for us. Basically a place to sleep. The staff were courteous. The breakfast was ok. We’ve been making a tour through Europe and all the hotel breakfasts have been similar as far as being continental but this hotel’s was lacking compared to the others we’ve stayed with during this trip. It’s Italy — expected some good pastry’s and bread but no such luck.

Hotel is very average. Each room is different. A/C is poor and barely functioning. No place to hang around in the lobby. Breakfast is below basic. Staff and is very accommodating and helpful. Rooms are dingy. Need to get rid of the musty smelly carpet and replace with something a bit easier to wipe and maintain. Hand the tiny TVs on the wall instead of using the desk space. Some bathrooms are large and some are very small. Definitely take the water taxi to and from the hotel. Coming from the train station, the hotel charge 200 euros (100 for the taxi and 100 for assistance) . Decline the assistance when you go to the train station. It is not needed and the charge is 100. Location is excellent and walkable to all areas of interest.

I want to thank the staff at the Kette Hotel. They were amazing. Very helpful and considerate. My reservation included breakfast; however, on the last day, I had to leave before breakfast time. The front desk person gave us a generous breakfast, for which I am very thankful for their consideration.

The staff at this hotel in general were helpful and very personable. The location was nice and quiet, except for the gondolas that passed our windows every morning- very nice. Please note that the breakfast is very minimal with no hot options and there is no room service and there is not food or drink available after 10:30 am. The photo of the rooftop in the listing is in in fact someone’s private room and is not accessible to guests not staying in that room.

Nice hotel with direct boat access for taxis, which is helpful if you are carrying heavy luggage. Very close to P. San Marcos and Ponte Rialto.

Hotel Kette is the perfect little boutique hotel! The location is great, 5 minute walk from San Marco. Shopping and cafes everywhere! Easy to stroll to lots of places. The hotel and staff are perfect. The rooms are plenty roomy. The breakfast is enough to start you on your day of exploring Venice. Especially the coffee and the pitcher of hot steamed milk provided! We loved it here!

We were really impressed with this hotel. They had a concierge, cleaned our room daily, and the breakfast was fantastic. Also situated within a 10 minute walk of the Rialto bridge and within 6 minutes of the Basilica.

Good position, young man on reception particularly attentive and on the ball. All staff were helpful. Had a family of 5 check in next door in one room, 3 adults 2 children who were extremely noisy to the point I had to complain. At one stage the man knocked on my door quite late as he forgot his room, bizarre. Staff spoke to them swiftly. Should not be allowed that many in one room.

We stayed at the hotel for four nights towards the end of May. The location is excellent. A 5-minute walk to St Mark Square with plenty of shops to browse on the way. Our room was on the second floor, facing onto the street, and had two windows with wooden shutters, a television and a mini-bar, neither of which we used, plus a decent-sized en-suite bathroom. The room was spacious, the temperate was well regulated, and the bed was large and comfy. There was some street noise because of the location, but this is to be expected and didn't disturb us. The staff were friendly and helpful, storing our luggage on the last day and organising a water taxi to the airport. The breakfast was adequate, but nothing to write home about. Our only complaint was that the bar was closed throughout our stay due to the barman being ill and the hotel having no one to cover. So we made use of another hotel bar close by, which played great music and the staff were super friendly. Would I say again, location-wise, yes? But there are a few other hotels in the area. So I would check those out first before booking again.

Kette Hotel was a great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean, good breakfast.

Fantastic location, friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable staff. Great service. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely return! Generally quiet area, away from busy main streets but close to main attractions. A bit of construction going on nearby, which interfered. But unrelated to this property and out of their control given close proximity of work and dense area spacing.

This is a very old and traditional hotel in Venezia. The location is perfect, easy walks to main shopping areas and close to St. Mark’s square. Our room had two windows facing the small canal and if you are lucky you could hear the gondolas going by serenating you! Comfy beds and breakfast included. Pet friendly 🐶

Great location, charming feel

The hotel is in an excellent location, ease from S.Marco water taxi port and central for exploring Venice. The hotel itself is charming and feels very authentic. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean, and with all basic requirements needed. There was a continental breakfast which was also nice, and the coffee is great (lots of time breakfast coffee isn’t! ) overall I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the city

Staff at Hotel Katte were super

This was my second time staying in this hotel. The room was spacious and yhe location is great. The staff was friendly and answered all the questions. The breakfast was included. I just wish they had a little more variety. It was mostly carbs. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Very convenient to Wster Bus and commercial shopping stores

Formerly a 16th century palace, it has a beautiful reception area and sitting rooms, handsome wood counters and paneled walls, and typical Venetian marble floors. My room was very spacious (for European standards) and comfortable. The bathroom was also nice and spacious, but it had two issues: it lacked a shower security bar and a shower caddy. Breakfast was mostly continental and just OK. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is excellent.

It was a horrible hotel, manager and staff sworn to us when we ask for information of tv, won’t phone for us to our transfer operator, because we don’t speak Italian. The worst part was one day before checking out, we were accused of breaking a piece of glass which we haven’t done, during the confrontation, the manager sworn again, we called the police . The worst experience ever

Overall our stay was good. Breakfast needs to add more variety… better food.. bathtub floor is a little bit slippery, can’t get used to the half door for shower, ended up flooding the bathroom floor

The location of the Kette is wonderful. The rooms are a little “tired” and need to be refurbished. Towels are also a little thin. Bathroom toiletries included 2 shower caps but no body lotion!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Kette Hotel. Staff were very well presented, professional and courteous. The presentation of the inside of the hotel was excellent. Location is very central in San Marco and is only 5 minutes walk from the the San Marco Vallereso ACTV stop. Breakfast was typically Italian with bread, cheese, meats, cereal, pastries, etc. The only improvements I would have preferred is a more powerful hairdryer in the bathroom, took twice as long to dry my hair as there wasn’t a lot of power in the wall fixed hair drier. There also weren’t that many plug sockets in the room, although we managed with using rechargeable power banks this would definitely be an improvement. I would definitely recommend the Kette Hotel and if I returned to Venice would stay again.

Beds are horrible. Felt like you were sleeping in a board. Some staff were great but many were snooty and got upset if you did not use services are go to a restaurant they recommended.

I have very mixed feelings after the stay. The staff was very nice and willing to help. However, there is a lot that the hotel is lacking. Breakfast was very poor: croissants, yogurts, cereal, toast, kiwi and apples, cold lunch meat and cheese. The hotel should really add more choices. We were also offered free trip to Murano upon check in, but when we tried to arrange it and sign up a day before, the next day we were told they wont be able to get water taxi after we waited close to an hour, ready to go just to be told they cant do it for us. Why offer then?! Another thing is that when we left AC on in our room to come back to cool room, we came back to AC off and !!!windows open by the cleaning staff. It was unbearably hot! Not to mention cleaning staff did not clean the first day until we came back to the hotel afternoon and said they can clean then. Makes no sense to clean with us there including a small child… I unfortunately would not stay in the hotel again and don't recommend.

The staff was very nice. They kept our luggage for us, even after we checked out, so we didn't have to cart it around until we were ready to leave Venice. That was very helpful. Also, the European breakfast was great.

Very well kept room. The cleaning person we had was very professional and a joy to be around. This goes for the entire staff very helpfull and knowledgeable about the area. They set up wonderful tours and just about everthing you can think of. Thankyou for a great time.

Great location very close to St. Mark's Square. Wonderful staff. They made us breakfast to go since we were checking out before breakfast. Comfortable room. No laundry facilities as advertised.

1) the rooms smelled. We also found little bugs crawling on our sheets which I just read in other reviews that others found mites in their beds. 2) did not feel safe with the staff at all. Just read today that MANY people got money and things stolen from their rooms. I wish I read this before booking because I totally felt unsafe. 3) the hotel room really smelled of mold. Only good thing was the location.

Lovely stay in Venice, San Marco

The hotel was lovely, well placed for the high end shops. A 8 minute walk to St. marks square. The room was nice enough and the facilities in the room were fantastic.

Location was perfect for Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square, located on a quiet Venetian street with great staff and a spacious room with canal views.

A quiet haven

Check in was quick and straight forward and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet street withing 5 minutes walk of both the Grand Canal and St Marks square. The corner shop is Gucci :) The room was large with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Everything was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and tidy with everything we needed. The staff were very helpful. On checking out I left my wallet in the room. When I realized what I had done I rang the hotel only to be told that not only did they have my wallet but that it had been put with my bags. This is excellent customer service

This property is three blocks from Plaza send Marco. We loved it. It had character but modern amenities overall.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the hotel was well positioned for visiting the beauty of Venice. Whilst the public areas were well decorated the rooms were in need of a face lift (i.e. wallpaper joints were peeling and tired) nevertheless the room and bathroom were clean.

My honest review. We have spent two nights at the hotel. The hotel is small but clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Now the honest part. The room we've had was very small with tiny bathroom. I have to say that it was still fine for us even though we are used to bigger rooms. Breakfast is definitely not a buffet breakfast. Yes you'll go an get your own food but not much ro choose from. Basically don't expect any vegetables or hot food. No scrambled eggs or sausages. It will still do the job and fill you up. Good thing about the hotel is that it's really near san marco Square. Overall stay at the hotel was pleasant.

I liked the location - very close to St. Mark's Square. The housekeeping staff was very pleasant. The front desk staff when I checked in was very helpful and the gentleman manning the front desk when I checked out was also very helpful. The front desk staff that was there my only full day was not overly pleasant and seemed put out when I asked questions regarding transportation to the airport. Additionally, in the advertisement for the hotel it needs to be plainly indicated that you MUST have cash to pay the tax bill upon checkout and if you need to arrange a private water taxi to the airport for 190USD/EURO that also MUST be paid in cash.

Very nice stay at Kette Hotel

We spent a few days in Venice and stayed at the Kette Hotel. Very nice and helpful staff. Wonderful location. Rooms were fine. They were clean and comfortable enough. Only downside is they were very dark and not really much room to just relax. So great hotel if you plan to be mostly out and about.

Small basic room. Quiet location. Easy to get to main areas of interest.
