location, staff and facilities

The staff that handled the laundry was lying about my room door was lock. I believe they just dont want to admit any error or mistake. If they admitted i would have still give them a very good grade.

Nice for exibition, walking distance and convinient shopping center in the building Breakfest for $33 seems expensive compare to a new Hyatt i was before in shanghai($16)

Always a good place to stay! Rooms are great and the lounge is a good experience. Mall close by with dining options and shopping options. Would stay again

The food is horrible

Front desk staff was short handed and looked overwhelmed. We were the next in line and it still took 10 minutes before we could check in. There were also no one to help with bags from the taxi to the lobby.

Kerry Hotel very convenient

I was attending a trade show next door so it was very convenient to stay at the Kerry Hotel. Service level is very good, staff are doing their best, breakfast was good with lots of variety.

Not as good as it used to be

Breakfast is so average. Many buffet dishes are cold and it’s clearly understaffed compared a few years ago when it was one of the best in Pudong.

The hotel is great. It is near a mall. It also has a great kids playing area.

Comfortable stay at Kerry Hotel

Hotel is really nice- good size room, clean and overlooking Century Park. It has direct access via the mall to Metro Line 7. Many eateries and shops at the mall.

unexpected bad service

I know the hotel since the first day when its opened. I stayed during the soft openning period and since then, each time the service was great and I came back each time I am in Shanghai even when my meetings were in Puci I stayed at the Kerry hotel in Pudong. unfortunately, now the service is very very weak with unprofessionnal workers and services. each time I had to call several times and even go downstairs to ask again. also the personnal in the restaurant are NOT professionnal. this is very bad for the hotel image .

Nice property with easy access to MTR and the airport There's a mall with plenty of food and shopping connected to the property and the room was very spacious with well equipped desk and bar area. A bit disappointed that I did not get lounge access upon check in as I wasn't given a room on the executive floors; seems the room description upon booking was a bit confusing and was only subject to availability however staff were friendly and helpful and overall a pleasant stay

My son absolutely loved playing in the Kid Zone in the 4th floor. I was very pleased with the quality of service (something very hard to come by in China). Overall it was a lovely stay. The only thing keeping me from giving a perfect score was that the room felt a bit dated. There were no outlets on the night stands to plug in electronics for example, and while there was a nice “office” desk space they didn’t have USB connections for charging. I imagine this hotel was built before the ubiquity of smartphones

Flight cancelled and rescheduled to the next day due to airplane technical issue. Contacted Expedia right away at the airport. The hotel refused to refund. And hotel refused to give us credit for the next day stay. What a terrible experience.

Great hotel for a Shanghai trip

Excellent property in a great location. Very helpful staff.

The location was great! I did not like that I paid for a late check-out but they called me to asked me why I had not checked out and they came to clean the Room while I was out! I expected that they knew about the late check out but there appeared to be a lack of communication.

I understand that it can be overbooked during conferences and very busy. But we booked more than 10,000 worth of rooms and they moved around us. I booked many rooms for my colleagues and they offered bigger rooms if 2 people stay together but they have to move during weekends. 2 of my colleagues accepted and stayed there for 3 nights. They said they need to move on Friday and they confirmed by phone again and they packed in the morning and waited but they didn't move the luggage nor the room. When they asked again they said it will be Saturday but without saying sorry or their mistake. They said they will upgrade the room but they didn't do it. We can speak Chinese and English perfectly and confirmed a few times so I don't think that was a miscommunication. We asked for an explanation and apology but we haven't got any. I go there every year for conferences but the room condition and service is getting worse. Amenities replaced to a cheaper version too.

The worst stay

shuttle

Kerry Hotel was great. Nice location. The only issue I had was that the staff was not familiar with the shuttle service to Disney and to the MagLev. I actually almost gave up on the shuttle, until I saw it sitting out front!! Ask the concierge or the bell hops out front, the front desk staff for some reason does not know about this. Nice location, attached to a mall. There is a large park on the opposite order of the intersection (they charge a fee for entry), but I went for a jog around the outside of the park (free). Very nice!

Other than this issue I was happy with the hotel.

We were advised on your booking that the Executive Club was available to myself and my colleague. I spoke to the manager, who would not budge. This was not the case and we were asked for a charge of US$68.00 per person per night... I was most disappointed re this issue.

Everything! Brilliant hotel, staff friendly and courteous.

Negatives ; Check in took over 15 mins even though there was no queue , breakfast items not cleared, had to ask , my room key was not working & took a long time to sort. Poor ; Shampoo and conditioner Positives ; Nice room , mini bar included, fantastic breakfast selection, great robes, comfy bed

Read the T&C’s before agreeing to upcharges.

Annoyed with myself. I was told that my room rate was exclusive of breakfast. Reception staff tempted me to pay upcharge to executive room, and that I would be able to enjoy happy hour, and club lounger benefits. This was 6.45pm. By the time I reached the lounge at 7.00pm, it was over. Really shocking that a brand like Shangri-La can do this. Tainted everything, and ruined my stay. Nedless to stay, I won’t go back.

The room was spacious and clean. I like the convenience and accessibility as well since it was easy to get and fro the airport. There's also a connecting mall with more food choices. I had a good stay here.

There ate too many thongs I like during stsy. The best is thst very close to exhibotiom center. I could go easy to there. And meet many custpmers.

Disappointing at check in.

Booked and paid for deluxe room with two double beds as a birthday gift for my son and his 6 year old daughter. On arrival we were told the only rooms they had were twin single beds. We tried purchasing an upgrade or change of room but all they would offer was a room with one king bed. Hotels.com (with whom we made the booking) were extremely helpful in trying to resolve the situation and even offered rooms at other nearby hotels. That was generous however we chose Kerry Hotel because of children facilities and the pool. Overall, the hotel was great but just disappointing when you arrive to find you aren’t getting what you expected and paid for.

Nice hotel. very good staff. very good environment. however very little choice for vegetarians or Vegan food. Poor concierge services. lots of staff doesnt understand english completly.

Overall staff service is good except lobby bar. F&F conditon is a bit dusty and looks old Quilt has a bad smell

Good Business Hotel

This was a nice hotel but I was there on business so my experience was limited to a lot of work and little else. It's attached to a large expo center so it's ideal when you have an event there but majority of sites and restaurants etc are across town so I'd take a taxi every day after work to go experience that.

Nice location, great park view, very good gym and swimming pool. I really enjoyed my stay. Definitely recommend it

Modern, clean, fair bet for a convention at SNIEC

Baggage delivery after check in was slow, but Tony the head concierge made sure to set that right. Nice modern property, convenience of attached mall. Wifi was challenging at times, not always working.

If you are going to CES Asia, stay in this hotel

I went to CES Asia and so this was the hotel where you could easily walk to CES. There is also a large mall attached to the hotel, where you can buy many things that you may have forgotten to bring. Also I highly recommend the club option where you can have breakfast and dinner from 5-7 and drinks. The breakfast downstairs is one of the most amazing setups I have ever seen, and I've seen a lot of grand setups.

Feel safe area .Wonderful room, incredible beds, and excellent bathroom/shower. Very quiet and clean. Lobby also excellent for meeting associates, and restaurants are very nice except for"The Brew brewery " as a very limited food menu . Appreciated the complimentary mini bar . Also appreciated late checkout . Staff very friendly and professional.Walking distance to Shanghai Newi Intetnational Expo Center. Very easy to go at the hotel by taxi from PVG airport apx 130 rmb.

Family staycation

We had two club rooms (including a suite) for a day with three kids ages 9,5, and 4. They had a blast in the pool and the Adventure Zone and the adults were pleased with Happy Hour abd breakfast in the club lounge. Rooms beautifully appointed.

Great stay and feel warm !

We had an extremely pleasant stay in this hotel. The staff are all very friendly, polite and helpful. The room is new, spacious, clean and cozy. The hotel is connected to a large complex which consists of a big shopping mall and an office building. Lots of restaurants to choose from inside the mall, and best of all, the whole complex is linked to a metro station underground. The surrounding environment also makes people feel very relaxed. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone ! Great job Kerry Properties !

Luxe Shanghai comfort off the park

Wonderful room, incredible beds, and excellent bathroom/shower. Loved the gorgeous view of the park and Shanghai skyline. Very quiet and clean. Lobby also excellent for meeting friends and associates, and restaurants very nice also. Appreciated the complimentary mini bar (it was my dinner one late night!) Also appreciated late checkout. Staff very friendly and professional. Best hotel I have stayed in in China.

We came for a business conference. Shanghai is amazing. the hotel is wonderful The pool is great, The room is perfect and the breakfast is excellent. The hotel is very close to a Shopping mall and a Metro Station. The city center is far and U may need a Taxi or a Metro (more than 1 line) . The Minibar was complementary !

great fro tradeshows

great hotel. has attached shopping mall with good food. located right next door to the trade centre so very easy when attending tradeshows. it is worth getting the "Club" upgrade as the club facilities, food, and rooms are really good including free mini bar service.

WiFi password was reset a couple of times. Other than that, no issue.

Really Great Hotel!

This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying. The room was well stock and beautiful with great views of the park. The hotel was so clean you could have traced it with white gloves. The staff was helpful and the food was great. I wish the Kerry was in every city I visited.

We are planning a business event and the hotel staff were very helpful. Room was well laid out - not quite 5 star but close. Good breakfast in Club Lounge and excellent dinner at The Meat. Outstanding gym and swimming pool

The Kerry Hotel is situated in a perfect shopping mall area with everything you need with great facilities. The bathtub in the room is deep and large, and large and clean. The reception is very accommodating. The room was clean, but not as luxurious as I expected- the carpet had some stains and part of the ceiling was actually taped on, which I did not expect from a Shangri-la. Other than that it is an excellent spot and comfortable hotel.

Best hotel in China so far for me

I stayed here because of a trade show at the exhibition center next door. I liked absolutely everything about this hotel and especially the very attentive and helpful staff whose English is very good. I will definitely stay here again when attending another exhibition next door.

Ibooked garden view room but they had given partly garden view room. i had booking there for 3 person but they had charged 350 Chinese yuan after argument they said you have to talk with your travel agent. kindly check this matter and revert me.

Good for Shanghai exhibition centre

You would expect excellent from Shangri-La and you get it. Easy taxi from the airport approx £29gbp into Century Park which is a nice upscale area just out of the city. The hotel is in a complex with western shops such as H&M and Starbucks but there is also a small local mall and food court just across the road. The hotel itself is big and smart and expensive, with good service, rooms and wifi. The brew pub is ok too for a few beers and bar food. But it is the 2 minute walk to SNIEC that makes it . . .

Great business and leisure hotel. Not cheap but an oasis away from the hussle and bustle.

Dissapointed

I stayed with my family on Sep 30th to watch fireworks in century park on that night. We booked hotel package which included free breakfast and 4 pm late check-out. We checked in 1:30 pm but staff told us that we came late for check-in and there were not many room choices at that time. Fireworks were so-so and we had to bang heads to windows to watch fireworks since the room did not have straight view to the park. Although hotel package included 4 pm check-out, staff told us to check out by 1 pm. Do not book this hotel package. It's not worth paying extra.

Doesn't worth, overbook and charge you for upgrade

They overbook rooms so when I check in late they force me to upgrade to better room but I have to pay for the upgrade difference per night!!!

perfect location if you are at the expo centre!!

nice Hotel. staff are very good. stayed on golden circle lounge floor so drinks and breakfast were included. food in lounge was good as was it with all of the restaurants in hotel .room s are comfortable and well appointed.

Booked NON SMOKING got SMOKING room

Was very disappointed on the first night, cause we booked NON SMOKING room but SMOKING room was given. Complaint doesn't work, was asked to refer back to HOTEL.com. Only manage to change room on the second day of our stay.

Having temporary room odor problems

I always stay here for trade shows because it is beside the exhibition center. The hotel looks great. The gym is the best in Asia. There are lots of restaurants and cafes in the Kerry Center beside the hotel. BUT, this time the rooms smelled terrible. I talked to several people at the hotel with the same problem. Don't know if this is temporary or what. Also, the in house dining quality is low - all style, no substance.

Room smelled like smoke

Second time at this hotel that my non smoking room has a smoke smell when I arrived. Always specify non smoking room at check in to be sure.

nice hotel with good restaurants

The hotel is always nice good location, convenient located next to the exhibition center, and good restaurants like the Brew. Service is up to the Shangri La but not so stiff more relaxing.
