As good as I remembered

Second time staying here and was the perfect start to Bali! The staff is accommodating through pre-arrival information to ensuring we had a taxi for departure. They had all the extra touches - free welcome massage, 15 min photo session, complimentary rides around town, great inclusive brekkie. Perfect place to make some memories

This was by far the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed! The entire staff from the moment we arrived treated us like family. They accommodated every request we made with such politeness. I really felt like royalty. The property is immaculate and groomed every day. Our villa was so private and clean. I could easily live there! I almost want to keep this place a secret but you have to experience this beautiful place!

Amazing jungle stay

Amazing jungle feel location! Staff are super helpful and accommodating. They sit down with you when you check in and explain to you about the resort and places to go nearby. They weee also able to assist us in renting a scooter. Massage was so so more like a rub then an actual massage. Food was better thank most places.

Kayumanis villas was an amazing stay, their friendliness and attention to detail was phenomenal. Lovely villa in very quiet area of Ubud. If you were looking for a secluded place to get away from every day hustles, this is the place to be!! The wifi connection was decent. The location was very inconvenient if you want to explore central Ubud and only one dining option available within the resort. Some of property features were "overkilled" I thought, like outdoor shower, toilet and living area. Certainly they did add "charm" but when raining, practicality and inconvenience took over. But once again, if you want to just relax in your villa and do nothing (except for swimming, internet surfing, reading), this probably is the best place to "vacation".

The property should not advertise as 5 star, it can be 3 or 4 star. It’s situated in the jungle bushland due to that there are mosquitoes everywhere. outside there is little walk bridge while walking there it stinks like a sewage leak. At night time there is a ultra noisy bug cicada, which didnt let us sleep whole night. we was offered free spa massage per person in our package. when we went to the spa to redeem that offer we was told its just 15 min per person, which was very misleading. overall, it was an average experience!

This hotel is world class ! Staff is the best ! Each staff worker here deserves a best in class service award ! From front desk to staff helping with food service ! It’s just outstanding- only disappointment is you have to leave ! :) do not think twice this place is worth the price and chef is world class and so personable he came out to our villa personally to check and ensure we liked the food!

What a treat

We stayed here with our children for 3 nights. The hotel is exactly like the photographers. Beautiful and calm. The rooms are spacious and the private pool was clean and enjoyed thoroughly by the family. You feel spoiled and pampered the moment you enter the hotel. It’s quiet and you don’t get to see other guests. Breakfast and all meal can be order and plated inside your own private villa. The food was great and quite reasonably priced compared to restaurants outside. The massage we got was one of the best. The sound and sight of nature surrounding you while laying semi outdoor was just one of a kind. The workers are always humble and attentive. They give you your space but will be there with one phone call. Having that said. The trade off of having such beautiful landscaping would be the presence of mosquitos, sounds of frogs at night…etc. it’s not a deal breaker as it didn’t affect everyone in our party equally. Will definitely come back next time we are in Ubud again.

Beautiful villas in a stunning location

We had a fabulous stay at the Kayumanis hotel, highly recommend it and would return without hesitation. The location is about 10-15 minutes drive from the centre of Ubud and a free shuttle is provided during the day for trips in and out. The hotel staff were so organised and helpful, making arrangements for any activities we wanted to do. The hotel is set in the jungle with spectacular views from the restaurant, pool area and all around. We were offered a free massage each with our stay and the treatments were wonderful. Breakfasts and dinners at the hotel were delicious and the staff were happy to serve meals at our villa, which we chose to do on a couple of occasions. This stay felt really luxurious and nothing was too much trouble for the team, it made for a perfect, relaxing stay for our visit to Ubud.

A top class Villa with private pool in a beautiful location. Spa, restaurant , main pool, private pool. Staff are top notch and the private butler truly was available 24/7. Remember it is Ubud so expect a few mosquitoes but they provide a comfortable environment for guests. It is close to nature and I’ll be back.

Beautiful property in a very quiet neighbourhood in Ubud. Staff were very friendly and always willing to help with any questions. The big advantage is a large pool in your villa so you can swim and de stress everyday. The menu is mainly Thai and Indonesian, with some Western options. All good and ingredients were of high quality and the cooking was excellent. The only downside is the mosquitoes in the outside toilet and shower area. Bring bug repellent. Highly recommended for honeymooners or couples looking to decompress and forget the outside world!

I loved the quietness, friendliness of the staff, outdoor features (shower/kitchen area). However, the toilet and main sink are open/outdoors and there were constantly bugs *mosquitos/flies/ants/frogs everywhere - even around toiletries. The room was clean and comfortable, but the bed was really hard. The outdoor area was nice, some furniture/cushions had signs of wearing but not horrible. I'm 5'2 and can not swim - therefore, was unable to use pool because of how deep it was. It was even too steep to climb down and just stand...this was a deep disappointment. It was also very far from most attractions/action, but we were told that "Ubud" was the better area. Again, appreciated the quietness. Food choices were solid and ranged from Western to local cuisine - very reasonably priced. Had massages that were just okay. No impressive techniques, no serene feeling, no spa like music, and staff were talking throughout in a distance that could be heard. Because of bugs, bed, depth of pool, and location I would personally not stay again.

Staff were excellent. Warm and friendly. No gym at the property. Liked the shuttle service but it stops at 5pm.

I realize that my comments should include many details and specifics about the property, but the reality is words cannot truly describe how exceptional and beautiful the property is. The staff is incredible, and it was an amazing experience to be in the middle of a tropical paradise While enjoying our private pool and villa. The grounds of the property are exceptionally beautiful, full of singing birds and flowers. Take the time and enjoy the main pool for an entire afternoon. You can lounge around the beautiful infinity pool as they bring you drinks and delicious food to enjoy. Also take the time to get to know the staff at the hotel. They are all very kind and love sharing their knowledge and experience of Bali. I know I have shared some details about our stay, but it is still very difficult to describe how truly beautiful and amazing our stay was at the resort.

Jungle paradise

Perfect place to start off our honeymoon trip in Bali. Everyone was so professional and helpful. The service was impeccable! The private pool villa was delightful and the on site restaurant was wonderful! Excellent price for what you get! Highly recommend!

We stayed at Kayumanis for nine nights during our honeymoon, and it was absolutely wonderful. The property is vast, very well maintained and groomed. The staff was incredibly hospitable and kind, so professional and helpful. Our villa was amazing, so big and designed intentionally with lots of great little details. The food was excellent, convenient ordering to your room. The spa experience was immaculate (we went a few times). And transportation provided by the property to Ubud City Center was easy and prompt. This property felt more unique to Balinese style and culture vs. the 5-star resorts we checked out down the road. Cannot recommend it enough, we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I stayed at 6 different locations during our 2 week stay in Bali. Kayumanis was one of, if not our favorite locations. It is such a beautiful property, and the villas are spacious and beautiful. The staff here is SO ACCOMODATING. They made our Honeymoon trip something special by adding the flowers to the pool and setting up a romantic private candle lit dinner for us. The villa has a nice restaurant on site, a bar with delicious drinks, and the property is so nice to take a walk. We walked the property and went down by the river for a fresh coconut and the scenery. I would strongly recommend this location to anyone. There is so much to do in Ubud, and the resort has a driver that will take you into market and give you a ride back. such a beautiful experience.

The property was absolutely stunning, the Villa was breathtaking and had everything you need. Very romantic setting with as much as possible situated outdoors such as the shower! The rest of the retreat was a delight, sprawling jungle scenes for as far as the eye could see, a wonderful spa and the breakfast was to die for! Staff were very friendly and took a genuine interest in us. Nothing was too much for them.

Our Happy Place We stayed at Kayumanis Ubud in April 2019 and loved it so much that we returned again in February 2020. The Kayumanis experience is soul warming. The people are lovely and made our holiday away so memorable that we stayed here twice in 10 months. Both villa’s we have stayed in were gorgeous - complete with secluded outdoor area’s, lovely garden’s and a stunning private pool with fountain. The villa has a free selection of drinks, yummy cookies and beautiful bathroom supplies that are restocked daily. On the premises is the Kayumanis restaurant (Dining Corner) and day spa (Kayumanis Spa Ubud). We have left reviews for both of these - but just wanted to mention that they are both wonderful and made our stay extra special. Terima Kasih Kayumanis Ubud. We can’t wait to see you all again.

The property location is lovely, quiet, in nature, peaceful and very relaxing. Staff are friendly and helpful. All the added little extra touches are what makes it special. My favourite place is the main pool down by the river - loved being so close to nature. I feel like we are experiencing the true Bali here. Such a different experience from what one normally has down in the tourist areas. I have been to Bali many times. We have stayed before and will return again.

Great value, friendly staff, very nice private pool

Excellent service! The spa is just out of this world. On the pricey side but worths it. I stayed in two different types of villas. One is more modern and chic and the other one is slightly older but has some interesting facilities like outdoor bathtub. Food is very good. And last but not least, the infinity pool (the main pool) is just breath taking.

Amazing, it seems that everything was available, there is shataf in the toilet, a small kitchen, the patio, the swiming pool, the welcoming tea, the river side, the SPA, everything was great, and there is shuttle bus to the downtown, .

Amazing from Start to Finish

Everything about this place is amazing. It is located slightly out of the centre of Ubud which means it is in the jungle area which was stunning. There is a free shuttle into the centre so no need to worry about missing out on location. The villa was beautiful with an outdoor living area and private pool, it had everything you needed, we didn’t want to leave! Also the staff were absolutely amazing, they couldn’t have done more to help us, they arranged everything for us which we requested, which was a lot, and nothing was too much trouble for them. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here, I can’t wait to go back!

Quiet and serene villa away from the hustle and bustle ubud city Centre. Excellent service and top notch spa experience. The only downside would be the not so clean room in the villa. Stains on bed, webs can be found around the room and room felt damp and musty. Nevertheless, good experience overall but expected rooms to be cleaner for the price per night.

Great stay overall

We chose this resort which was about 15 minutes from Ubud center for our two nights stay in Ubud. The resort is consisted of 23 individual vilas that offer lots of privacy to its guests. During our two days stay, we barely ran into anyone at the main pool and breakfast. The deluxe villa we stayed in was very spacious, with living and dining corner constructed in local Balinese style. The pool was also a great size for a proper swim. While some of the facilities are a bit older (some lights weren't working), overall the villa is in good condition and very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and were a great example of Balinese hospitality. They were very helpful in arranging a motorbike for us during our stay and very attentive to our every need.

THIS IS THE REASON WHY YOU GO TO BALI!!! I flew from the US to decompress and have some "serenity now" and just 2 nights there was 10000% worth the trip This was truly one of the nicest places that I have ever stayed at - from truly amazing staff, the HUGE villas that are full of amenities, to the amazing food (the afternoon tea is a nice standard offering), the overall grounds of the property. Its funny, I had booked activities for one day - but after setting in, I cancelled them and just spent the day lounging by my private pool. It was amazing. This definitely not the cheapest place to stay in Bali. I think I paid about $225 a night - but to my fellow Americans: this place would easily be $2,000 a night in Hawaii. My only issue was that their local neighbors were blasting music early one morning - nothing these guys could do though

We loved everything about this property. It was quiet, romantic, private and surrounded by nature. The air always smelled like flowers. We stayed inthe deluxe pool villa...... FABULOUS! The food was superb and the staff went above and beyond for anything we asked. They also arranged last minute for a driver from resort to site seeing of our choice on 2 days. The drivers were from the resort so it was like having a private guide for the day. Very reasonable price wise to do this. Will definitely be back. All excellent!!!!

Our honeymoon stay was the most relaxing and amazing hotel stay. The staff are so friendly, kind and inviting. They are so attentive and accommodating. We were blown away.

The villas are exceptional and cleaned as soon as you leave the room (for my stay that amounted to twice a day). The spa is top notch, the breakfast is delicious, and the resort offers free taxi service to and from ubud (which was really helpful). The staff, in general, are very attentive to your needs. I would recommend this resort to anyone that wants privacy and easy access to anywhere in ubud. Furthermore, there dinner menu and spa offerings are both top 5 rated for the area.

We have stayed at these villas before and will surely return when we visit Bali again. The quiet and privacy offered by the villas is a big plus for us and the hotel offers a shuttle into Ubud center when you crave more action. Staff are always welcoming and attentive. Also enjoyed a massage at the spa, which is set in beautiful surroundings. We really enjoyed their breakfast options and quality, especially the Kayumanis french toast (a must try).

We stayed at Kayumanis for 6 nights and had an incredible experience. The hotel staff were excellent, professional and friendly. The accommodation was beautiful with an amazing bed and pool. What can I possibly say that would do justice to this most amazing place. First: the staff is incredible. They go to great lengths to ensure that everything is perfect about your stay. So kind, patient and lovely. I can't say enough great things. The grounds are truly spectacular. My villa (including the walkway to it) was like right out of a movie and the area by the main infinity pool took my breath away. If you want a more private, secluded trip, which I did, this is the place to come. Everything feels so natural and organic and created from nature, right down to the outdoor shower. I only wish I could have stayed longer but will absolutely be back. Thank you, Kayumanis, for the most wonderful week in Bali!

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights from 8/9 to 8/12. Amazing private villa property with immaculate tropical gardens that never cease to wow you. The villa had private pool with outdoor living room and kitchenette, Loved the luxury of the outdoor bathroom (what a bliss) with yet a sense of full privacy. The hot outdoor shower was extremely pleasant whether we took our shower in the morning or at night or sometimes both... The breakfast dining corner had an amazing jungle view with excellent t service and great breakfast (good variety). Our spa experience was total bliss: quiet moment by the river/ jungle away from busy Ubud... One more thing, although we are in the middle of the jungle, we don't feel annoyed by bugs or mosquitos, they do quite a good job keeping those away. Last, every single staff person you meet greets you with a huge smile and is here to please. Loved it. Thank you for making us so comfortable.

Amazing location, beautiful design and excellent staff. The food and spa are excellent as well. The only disappointment was the wi-fi connection. Free transportation to and from Ubud on your schedule whatever that may be. Highly recommended and I will return.

We were pleasantly surprised with our experience at the Kayumanis. When you drive up the front desk check in area is very basic...and I was a little nervous that we would be disappointed. We stayed in a family villa with 3 bedrooms and a family room and a private infinity pool overlooking the Ayung river and in the rainforest. It was truly an experience. The staff is friendly and eager to please every step of the way. They always greet you with a smile and a hello. I was so impressed with the staff at every level. The massage staff the restaurant staff the maintenance workers, housekeeping and the bellstaff all get 5 stars. The restaurant chef also was very engaging and introduced himself and made sure we were happy. I cant say enough and will definitely highly recommend this hotel and hopefully return in the next few years.

We were pampered and so relaxed

We were pampered from the minute they picked us up from the hotel with yummy cinnamon cookies. A big thank you to all the staff Breakfast and high tea were served at our villa. They drove us all around Ubud and helped make dinner reservations. The spa was lovely... just the right pressure . Dinner at their restaurant was a great experience. The outdoor shower took getting use to but was a real treat We will definitely come back!

We're generally cautious of where we stay and stick to 4 Seasons/Ritz etc...This portion of our trip we decided to expand our horizons, look for more privacy yet wanted the same standards...we were SO pleasantly surprised. Our private was Villa was beautiful!!! Nicer in person then in the pictures as you get more space then you might expect. All areas were clean, well appointed and the pool was perfectly sized. The resort offers 2 restaurants, we ate at both and enjoyed all items ordered. Their spa suited all our needs. The entire staff was welcoming, pleasant, always exceeding expectations. Thank You for perfect accommodations while visiting Ubud.

Fall in Love with Kayumanis

There's so much to love about Bali: this lovely resort is another great reason to visit. The property is lush, quiet and secluded. The staff is outstanding in every way. The villas are luxurious and spacious. The onsite restaurant led by Chef Made and Sous Chef Torris offers a wide array of delicious choices. The spa is incredible. And the location is good. Overall, Kayumanis Ubud offers an amenity-filled experience at great value. Suri and her staff took wonderful care of us throughout our stay. They provided transportation (Dira was a terrific guide), arranged for us to see local temples and sights, and spent time talking about Bali and their culture. It's difficult to imagine a resort adding more to a visit to this enchanting island than we experienced at Kayumanis Ubud.

Small luxury hotel with amazing service

Great hotel in middle of lush tropical forest. Amazing service, specially the private shuttle on request to and from ubud, very convenient. Hotel and rooms are nice, but a bit run down (pool filtration noisy, tv not working...) , very comfortable but not very clean, we had rashes from lying on outdoor day bed. Food is not bad. Spa has fantastic location above ayung river. Overall very good. Would recommend if you want privacy and private pool with luxury room.

Beautiful Hotel in the heart of Ubud

It was an excellent experience! We were greeted with their staff upon arrival and we were kindly shown around the Dining corner in the restaurant located in the resort and then we were taken to our one bed private villa and pool, and given a 'Happy Honeymoon' cake which was delicious! The staff are so kind and very respectful and caring to our needs. Once we had left our villa, we would come back to our room looking spectacular, bed tidied, shampoos and soaps replaced, fridge topped up with free drinks and bottled spring water (which came in handy in the hot weather!). When we ordered room service (dinner and breakfast etc) the food arrived HOT and ready to eat which is perfect! The resorts restaurant/dining corner had a different theme every night, with entertainment and different kinds of food, from malaysian to thai. This Hotel was a great pick, it is situated in the heart of Ubud and has great attractions to see from 10-20 minutes away, e.g, bali swing, the scared ubud monkey forest, Goa Gajah Temple, Ubud Village (their shopping centres). The location is perfect for all these great things to see. The staff once again are very kind, and very helpful when we wanted to book a taxi somewhere last minute for the day. The Ayung river also runs behind the resort, you can hear the streams and wildlife and it just sounds like paradise. We have already booked this hotel for our easter break next year!! The place to be.

Amazing private Villa - 100% recommend!

Amazing experience from start to end. The service is incredible, the breakfast was delicious, and the villa was beautiful and private. The staff is so attentive and it seemed that everyone working there knew our names and really wanted us to have the best time. There are only around 23 villas on the property, so you almost never see another guest, which makes you feel as though the entire staff is just there for you. The price we paid was a bit more than some other villas; however, considering everything that was included in the price, I think it's the best deal. We had free breakfast, an amazing complimentary 30-min couples massage, a mini-bar that got restocked daily, tea time served to your room at the time you choose, which includes desserts, sandwiches, and tea, and we also got free rides into town. In addition, there are a couple free tours available. We took a tour with our butler through the hills and a village, and it was really nice. It was our honeymoon and we were upgraded to the deluxe villa, which has an outdoor bathroom. The outdoor shower was awesome; however, if you are someone who gets up in the night to use the restroom and you prefer not to be outdoors, then perhaps opt for the villa with the indoor restroom. If we go back to Ubud, we will definitely stay here again!

Lovely and private pool suite. Pool is good sized with a nice outdoor living area. Interiors and furnishings a bit worn but otherwise clean and well maintained. Entire bathroom and closet area outside, which took some getting used to (and I didn't like my suitcase and clothes outside). Vast and beautiful grounds. Gracious, helpful staff. It's a 15 min drive from center of Ubud, which is good and bad. Overall enjoyed.

Stayed in the villas with a pool , everything except the bedroom is outside which was a pleasant surprise. -Staff were fantastic and friendly & very professional. -Privacy was something I really enjoyed , the villa had 10ft walls around it which was great . - Food was well presented and tasted really good. - the free taxi to and from ubud was good to have even though we didn't spend much time out of our villa. - high tea was served every day between 14:30 and 17:30 which was also nice to have . - we also were given a free 30 minute massage which was a nice touch. WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN !!! Highly recommended

Very good hotel, with nice view

Very nice hotel on large area. The villa is wide too. The view from resturant is amazing. The food is tasty and many choices are there. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Simply excellent

Everything we needed and more. Amazingly presented over heaps of beautiful land, on the edge of the forest, with water flowing through the resort. Everything was as it should be and better. Many thanks

Nice hotel for honeymoon

Quite and private hotel, free shuttle to near areas in Ubud, I like the idea of breakfast which you can order it at any time during the day.

Paradise in Ubud

We stayed for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon and it was probably the best accommodation we've ever stayed in. The villa was huge and beautifully furnished. It exceeded our expectations but what made it really excellent were the staff and the service. They couldn't do enough for us. The inclusion of a free driver service around the Ubud area was a lovely touch. Breakfast was excellent and food as a whole was pretty good, albeit pricier than if you just went to a restaurant in Ubud. The spa treatment was great as well. My only minor criticisms would be that the wifi was slow at times and the pool was pretty chilly but neither would stop me going back again.

Private, Spectacular Jungle Setting

It is very hard to describe in words how beautiful this property is. It is private, and whilst the property was fully occupied I rarely saw other guests. The villa was outstanding - the outdoor shower and private pool were features I enjoyed the most. The hotel main dining room - sat looking out over a lush jungle valley and was great both in the morning for breakfast and flood lit at night with a magical, peaceful view. The main pool was spectacular, surrounded by tropical rainforest and I felt a million miles away. The staff are discrete, friendly and terribly helpful, they blew up my inflatable pool device for me, helped repair my bathers and also hosted a private cooking class in the villa for my brother and I. The cooking class was hosted by the hotel chef and also included a tour of the colourful, local Ubud market. The butler service was available day and night and were able to prepare delicious late night Indonesian meals. My butler's name was Edi, and he took me on a hiking tour, he was professional and friendly with very good English.

Boutique villas in the heart of the jungle

Kayumanis was the highlight of our recent trip to Bali. Well designed, super-attentive staff and an array of special treats like afternoon tea, welcome massages and enormous complementary breakfasts. One piece of advice, hire scooters from the hotel. Drive slowly and you'll be fine. Not only does it make you more mobile and able to head in and out of Ubud as you please, it'll allow you to stumble on some of the charming surrounding villages.

Loved it!

The service here are friendly, warm and very helpful. They were almost too intrusive though. We were constantly asked what our plans were for the day. By everyone. It almost seemed that they wanted to sell us something. But that being said... They were still amazing! The wifi at this hotel was the worst we had on Bali! It was almost useless! The bed was VERY hard and uncomfortable. I had very bad backaches from sleeping on it. It was also the worst bed of 3 hotels I stayed at while on Bali. The pool was amazing. The bathroom was also super relaxing! Room service was always good and reasonably priced I thought! A nice dinner for two could be delivered for about $22.00USD. I would defiantly stay here again. Inspite of a few negatives... This place is a total heaven on earth!

Great honeymoon destination

We stayed at Kayumanis for 6 nights. We had breakfast and afternoon tea included, drinks were restocked daily. They were on the ball with servicing our villa whenever we had left so that we came back to a clean villa. The service was great and staff was very accommodation the friendly. There is free shuttle into Ubud. The only downside is that it's a little far from Ubud Center. Expect to pay premium prices for food and massages at the villa, but it was very good. Would definitely revisit.
