Modern facility, perfect for couples. Included in price breakfast takes place at another hotel, close by. It won’t make you full, barely any food there. Not worth going, menu doesn’t change. Save yourself time and go out for a decent meal anywhere close by.

The location for playa del Carmen is absolutely amazing. When I say that it is the heart of Cancun, it is absolutely wonderful. Marquee is also extremely safe. There are glass doors which are automated by a 24/7 front staff. There are also digital access keys. Given the area it’s in, also very close to basically any dining area, few mins from the beach walking distance, and accessible transport .

Everything was perfect. The rooms are very elegant and the staff is very helpful.

Excellent boutique hotel

A lovely boutique hotel, with modern furnishing and style, just off the bustling 5th Avenue. Having to walk to the nearby Calixta Hotel for breakfast is a little bit of a hassle, but OK because it’s very close. Staff are helpful and friendly. I would stay again.

Our first time at Playa del Carmen and Marquee Hotel was just perfect for the 3 days we needed. We loved the room (we got the corner suite on 3rd floor) was spacious and bed was comfortable. We were a bit concerned because of Coco Bongos being so close to the hotel and the noise however they provide a noise canceling machine which helped. Not bad at all since we were on 3rd floor. Staff was super nice and they even allowed us to check in a few hours prior checking in time. I think the hotel could have at least provide a coffee machine or even a couple of bottles of water in the first day at least. We had a convenient store right in the corner which we walked to get water and some groceries. Hotel (for our taste) was a bit too dark. Specially the hallways. Could defuse more light specially if you come back from having a few drinks could be a bit dangerous if you don't watch your step. Our room had an escalator going down right in front. Their pool was closed and there was no service or happy hours. They do offer free breakfast but is located very close by at their sister hotel Calixta. Overall we would definitely stay here again if and when we go back to Playa. Location, location, location!!!

Staff was very friendly, the room was clean and beautiful, convenient location (steps away from 5th avenue). As many have stated, the breakfast can be better, not many options. The rooftop is also pretty dusty if you choose to relax there. It doesn’t seem like they clean the chairs/ tables daily

It was a great place to stay in with kids, breakfast was included and it was more than expected. All staff was kind and helpful at all times. Hotel is clean, modern and updated.

I loved my stay here. Amazing and convenient location. Walkable to everything you can want to experience in Playa Del Carmen. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was always someone at the desk. Rooms were nice and common areas were clean. I didn’t mind having to walk to the other hotel for breakfast it was like 2 blocks away but as others said the options were limited (same everyday). My only complaint would be that noise travels a lot (I’m actually hard of hearing so the fact that I could hear loud noises from other rooms says a lot). But even with the cons I would stay here again in a heart beat I loved it.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The front desk service was decent, and we didn’t use the rooftop pool. We also skipped breakfast, so we won’t comment on those two aspects. The room initially looked nice and modern. However, because we arrived very late, I went straight to sleep. The next morning, when I lifted the covers, I discovered that the bedsheet was covered in someone else’s blood stains—quite disgusting. Since we had to catch a flight, I didn’t have time to argue with the front desk; I just took a photo to show everyone. I definitely won’t stay at this hotel again when I return to PDC. There wasn’t even a trash bin in the room."

Nice hotel in Playa

Its a small boutique hotel in a great location. The room is of great size and has the right amenities. the curtains don't darken the room and it wakes you up really early in the morning. We enjoyed staying there though. The rooftop restaurant served good breakfast that was part of our rate.

Amazing!

Super close to 5th Ave and the beach, lots of restaurants near by to choose from. Continental breakfast had good options and service. Room was large and clean. Patios face a back road and not the main road like the other Kayak hotel which maybe wasn’t the best view but good still because the sun was never beaming into our room making it hot. Has super cold and nice AC staff was friendly and spoke English well. Coco Bongo it literally right there which was super cool to see and hear the excitement going on! I never found I needed the earplugs provided when your patio door is shut it’s very quiet.

Overall it’s a good hotel The staff are really nice and good breakfast

BAD PLACE TO STAY

TOO MUCH NOISE, REALLY BAD BEDS, NO FRIDGE ON THE ROOM, NO ICE, NO PARKING,

Checking in was disappointing, booking was fully paid thru expedia but was pending on their end. Waited for more than half an hour at the lobby till it was sorted out with a call to Expedia support for help. Checking out was a breeze.

The property was perfectly placed for me. I like to party and it was located a block from Coco Bongo and maybe 2-3 blocks from the party strip in PDC. Also, many dining options in the area with access to the beach. Great location, also very modern and chic design with large spacious clean rooms. Sanitized as well. And lastly, although it was close proximity to the clubs it was far enough to not be bothered with noise. 5/5

We were very happy to have booked our room at kayak Luna at Playa del Carmen, the hotel is located in a very strategic place we had the beach at a walking distance (only two blocks 😊) and loved our room it was very nice and clean

Great location. A block from fifth avenue, friendly staff, rooftop pool, big rooms with 10ft ceilings and great balconies. While some other reviewers have mentioned the noise level from the street is very loud we did not find that to be the case, if you are used to complete silence when you sleep maybe it would be an issue but if you live in a large city the noise isnt really even noticeable. The hotel does provide earplugs in the room in case the noise is too much. Beautiful newly renovated rooms, we had the king room, note the shower is glass and faces the room, which is great for a couple maybe not so much for friends. Very secure area, 24 hr 711 store a block away, several cafes and restaurants and a pharmacy immediately around the hotel. Check in is easy and fast.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff is so friendly and welcoming and the hotel itself is very nice and modern. Bed was super comfy and there was hardly any noise at night. We would totally stay here again and recommend it :)

I really enjoyed my stay at Kayak Luna Playa. My room was clean and modern looking. I enjoyed the free breakfast. All of the staff members were pleasant and helpful. There was someone at the front desk at all times and they even had a nightly security guard. The hotel was quiet and in walking distance to everything I needed.

Pessimo hotel

Primeiramente gostaria de dizer que a nota do Hotel apresentada pelo Hoteis.com está totalmente incorreta. O hotel nao tinha serviço de vagas, nao tinha serviço de bellboy, nao tinha room service, nao tinha frigobar, nao tinha nem onde pegar AGUA. Pra completar as toalhas e lençois das camas estavam manchados e sujos e por ultimo suspenderam o serviço de limpeza dos quartos. Foi uma pessima experiencia!! Nao tinha café da manha no local apesar de ser vendido junto com quarto, sendo obrigado ir numa churrascaria para comer café da manha, local de quinta categoria e sujo. Alem de tudo isso o hotel era extremamente barulhento de madrugada sendo recomendado o uso de tapa ouvidos para conseguir dormir!! Unica qualidade do hotel é a localização o resto foi um lixo. No primeiro quarto que ficamos tivemos problemas com ar condicionado, tivemos um vazamento do teto que ao molhar o chão fez a minha namorada tropeçar e se machucar no meio da noite e por ultimo o ralo do banheiro ficava entupindo. Depois que reclamei me trocaram para outro quarto, inferior ao meu onde nao teve nenhuma redução do valor pago e o quarto tinha problema de mao cheiro de esgoto. Resumindo pessima experiencia!!!!

The rooftop pool is extremely small, and there is rarely staff there to serve you. Some of the night staff are extremely rude, and there is no gym at the property. The worst is the noise coming from all the bars at night. Don't expect to get any sleep if you're staying at this property

Complimentary breakfast were wonderful, great location to 5th avenue walking street and the ADO bus station is a 3 min walk. Very nice property with a wondedrful roof bar and pool. Only negative was it is near a couple of clubs that generate a lot of noise into the early morning hours and they don't seem to have good soundproofing of their glass sliding doors. They purposely provide ear plugs in the rooms for guests to use. These work well in eliminating that noise.

beautiful boutique hotel that's super close to everything!

The hotel is brand new and styled with an excellent chic. It feels unique and luxurious and is located in the heart of Playa. Walking distance from all Playa attractions. The staff is amazing and highly accommodating. The roof top pool and bar is beautiful! Definitely a place to come back to in our next vacation. There is no ice machine in the hotel so you need to ask the bar. Other than that it is perfect.

This hotel is very very noisy. Disco store just 50 yards away and open from 11:30pm night to next 6am morning. I stayed this hotel for two nights and couldn’t sleep for whole night. It drove me crazy. It is not a hotel. It is a noise maker!

Hotel was very clean and polished. Unfortunately the rooftop pool was under maintenance and closed. Seemed like it was not busy and didn’t has as many services available and maybe would have on a busy weekend

Decent hotel with cute decor. Make sure that you get a good rate if you are going to stay here otherwise it is not worth it. Also keep in mind that the club across the street, Coco bongo, has very noisy music and shows playing into the early hours of the morning that you can hear in the rooms. If you are a light sleeper this will be a problem.

Excellent hotel. Place is clean and smells good. The staff is very friendly and trustworthy. It has the perfect location, right in front of Coco Bongo and "La Quinta Avenida" (walking distance for Playa Del Carmen main attractions). Hotel is beautiful and is not packed with a lot of people (kinda a boutique <3) . The price is amazing for all the things they offer you. Delicious breakfast and they even have a private roofed parking for your car - no charge. Definitely will book again!!!
