The staff was the highlight of this trip for sure. They absolutely loved trying to make you smile. We felt so sad to leave. They threw us a party for Christmas and made us specialty cocktails. Such an amazing experience and will be back someday!
Great place to stay. Breakfast was excellent every morning. The staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. Roomwas aon the small side and shower was tiny. I would definitely stay here again.
Small but good quality
Yes, it's small. Others have already discussed this point at length. But the rooms are nice - clean and contemporary. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed the rooftop lounge. What we really enjoyed was the friendliness of the staff. We were treated with a big friendly smile every time. And they were attentive to questions and tried to help out however they can. We also really liked the location. It's well located near Old Town, the night bazaar, and the Sunday market. All in all, I would recommend this place for a stay in Chiang Mai.
Cute and modern hotel
Such a cool place. Simple and modern. Small hotel but really cool vibe. Small pool but again really nice little space. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast you have to preorder but then it’s made fresh to order in the morning.
We love the front desk team. We enjoyed our stay but felt a little nervous walking back at night.
We had a great stay at this small but wonderful hotel
I was on a business trip and found the room very small to spend much time in. On the other hand the hotel staff were very helpful and the lobby area was comfortable. The hotel is close to dining options and walking distance to the old city.
The rooms are extremely small and the photos do not show this- there is hardly any common seating area except that next to reception, and everything was fairly dirty. The pool is also very small and right next to reception with no sun loungers. We had booked for 4 nights but stayed for 0 and ended up booking somewhere else
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
The staff is amazing!! So friendly and made sure everything we needed was taken care of. The rooms are very small and bathroom as well, but the service more thank makes up for it. Breakfast is also provided every morning. We would stay here again if in Chiang Mai
Lovely and personal staff, great location
I absolutely loved our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, personal, helpful, and attentive. The location was so convenient - on a quiet alley way one street over from the main road, and a few minute walk to old city. The rooms were small but clean and modern. Breakfast was the best we had in Thailand so far. Only thing is the water from the shower would get all over the bathroom floor. Nevertheless, I can’t decide which was better - the staff, the location, the rooms, or the breakfast!
Nice little hotel.
A nice little hotel in a quiet area close to local shops and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff ensured we had a comfortable stay.
<3
The staff was awesome!! The room was cozy and the location was superb. The shower is the only thing that could use some improvement!
Good place to stay
Very good location and very friendly staff
Nice stay
Very nice hotel. Excellent breakfast. Rooms were small. Location was very good.
Surely one of my favorite hotels to stay at. Quiet, comfortable, everything in walking distance. Staff overly helpful and friendly. Rooms are small but very clean and most of all you get a great night sleep.
I really enjoyed my stay at this property! I love boutique hotels so I was excited to find one in Chiang Mai.
Very nice hotel
Really like this place
Hi ! We had such a lovely stay here, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They even surprised me with a birthday cake, drinks and a homemade birthday card. Thank you to all the staff :)
Really warm and welcoming staff. Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was well done
My husband and I had such a great stay, the staff and rooms are amazing. The first comfortable bed we have came across in Thailand!
The service was awsome, only bad point is the shower, the water stay on the ground. Bad shower concept.
Highly recommend this hotel.
Great stay. I extended for 2 more days because it’s so quiet and the beds are so comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel. Yes it’s small but worth it if a good night sleep is high priority to you. Even 5 star hotel beds are not this comfortable.
Would definitely stay again
Extremely friendly staff, central location, yummy included breakfast, comfortable bed.
The hotel owners have done an amazing job in designing a hotel that comfortably fits on the small plot of land on which it is located. The staff was exceptional and the breakfasts were outstanding. I liked the pool off the lobby area which had a unique ambience. The only recommendation that I would make is to to add at least one English-speaking channel on the TV in guest rooms.
Kate and Hasu's was a cute little hotel in the heart of Chiang Mai. Easy to walk to everything. The rooms and bathrooms were small but clean. The staff was so attentive. Breakfast options were limited but always fresh and delicious. The pool was a cool relief after a hot sticky day!
Kate and Hasu's worked well for us. It is convenient to the night market (a few blocks) and one of the old city gates (again, a few blocks). The staff were helpful, though not over the top. Breakfast is a choice from about 4 options (3 of them how you want your eggs, if I recall). The room., itself, is a bit smaller than most, though fine: you might find it confining if spending much time in it or working out of the room).
Cosy and friendly hotel
Really lovely staff and a great location. The rooms were a bit small for me and the bathroom didn’t function well due to its design and small size- you couldn’t sit on the toilet with the door open and after every shower the bathroom floor was covered in water. Other than that it was great and very reasonably priced.
Simple place, great bed, friendly staff
The bed was the best bed I’ve had in all of Asia, not hard as stone!
One of change Mai finest
The staff are incredible. The front desk staff all the way down. Very professional. The cleaning was impeccably. Some of the best cleaning we have seen in a while. The breakfast was a perfect way to start our adventures every day. The location is perfect. Steps away from the action yet far enough away to be perfectly quiet. Kate and Hasu have a gem
Small room but very nice great for one person or two I will stay again and again from now on
Great little hotel in change Mai. The service is great. The location is great for exploring the shopping and restaurant area. Pleasantly surprised. Good job.
Great location near old town.
Stayed here for 5 nights January 2024. Fabulous location on a very quiet street just 5 min walk from old city. Great air conditioning, comfy beds and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was excellent with great variety including fresh eggs, sausages, fresh fruit, yoghurt & granola and delicious little sticky rice desserts. They even offered takeaway for days when we had early excursions booked! There’s a rooftop area with comfy round sunbeds that have pulldown shades to protect from sun. There’s a nice pool but we didn’t use it as it’s located on the main floor right next to the reception and eating area. We booked a room with a double bed which was exceptionally small and would definitely be a challenge if travelling with large bags or for larger people. There is zero space for storage which wasn’t a huge problem for us as we are travelling light. The bathroom and shower was also very small. Overall would definitely come here again for a short stay but if staying longer would book a larger room.
Good Value, Good Location…
Kate and Hasu is a clean and decent hotel. Rooms are small. The one thing I disliked (second time at this property) is the shower. You basically wet the entire bathroom floor every time you shower. There’s a curtain but it does very little to keep from drenching the entire bathroom. There’s about a one inch or less drop from bathroom floor to shower. Location is good and staff is very nice! Complimentary breakfast is pretty darn good!
property was clean and service was good. Kate and Hasu was a good experience with clean rooms and intimate smiling pool. would stay here again!
Visit to Chaing Mai
A lovely boutique hotel, all staff were extremely welcoming. A well positioned property for exploring Chaing Mai. Finally, the breakfast was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay.
Very sweet little hotel that is exactly as advertised. Staff were friendly and always helpful. I was alone in a twin room, which is very small. That was perfect for me, but if you’re two travellers with lots of luggage, I suggest two rooms.
3 nights in Chiang Mai
Spent three nights in Chiang Mai and initially really disappointed by the size of the rooms. Totally missed the size dimensions in the details. However, the staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The room, although tiny, was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. The location was perfect, a 10 minutes walk to the walled city in Chiang Mai.
The room was small, but good location, remember to put the tag for making up the room, once we forgot, they did not clean, we need to ask for new towels and clear our trash
Loved our stay here. It is close enough to tourist attractions like the Night Bazaar, and Red Light district but hidden enough to still be in a quiet area. The staff were VERY nice and that made our stay at this hotel quite pleasant.
More modern and newer than other hotels in the Old City area. Best mattress Ive slept on so far. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is excellent! Highly recommend staying here! Only thing is the rooms are very small
Room was very nice but small. Staff and breakfast were very good
Thon, Toy, Nueng were all phenomenal! Great service and great stay! Breakfast was delicious, room was clean as well, albiet botique. Highly recommend stay!
Location was convenient, walking distance to Tha Pae Gate and night bazaar. Daily breakfast was wonderful. Excellent service from the hotel staffs, thumbs up for them!!! The midnight shift young man (sorry I forgot to ask for his name) even went all the way to our room to ask for our next day breakfast order but we were not back from our day trip. Everything were provided for, toilet is abit small but its not a big issue as we were outside most of the days. Recommended for budget travellers.
The property was very nice. Very close to the night market. The staff were great and very pleasant. Breakfast was very good. The rooms are small not a big deal but the bathroom was very small. For small people it is ok but for large people it may be a problem. They should put up some shelves in the bathroom for your toiletries. I would definitely stay here again
We had a lovely stay. Convenient location, close to night market. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing to know is that the rooms are a little small if you have a lot of luggage. Would definitely stay again.
What I noticed first was the cleanliness upon check in. This was not just in the lobby but throughout. Then you will experience the excellent customer service of Toy, Thin and Nueng to name a few. The pool is nice and partially covered and is kept cleaned as I witness cleaning of any small leaves. The breakfast variety is nice and often you let them know your option the night before. One elevator and it works well but I preferred to walk the clean well lit stairs. I was in a queen bed and was ample room for 2 occupants but I was a solo traveler. I liked that I was given two keyless entry cards rather than one They have a built in safe are the front of the bed which was not moveable like some other places. The washroom was a bit small and lacked some counter space but water pressure and toilet worked well. Basic amenities were provide like two waters daily and toothbrush etc. the show had a basic show curtain which works in a small area. Water pressure in the show is very good and was quick to warm up. The AC works well and their are plugs for charging your devices on both sides of the bed and at the table. The area is walkable and close to many restaurants and bars and massage shops. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. I would recommend this boutique hotel to anyone and I would stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Super friendly staff, good location between old town and night market for food, cute hotel, free parking spot
Had the most amazing stay here and so lucky to have found such a gem. Even extended my stay because it was so good. Fantastic location. Quiet and peaceful but so close to everything. Staff were so helpful, friendly and welcoming. What a team. Thank you. Hotel had everything I needed. I’m so glad I found this place and can highly recommend.
The staff received me so warmly and were helpful throughout my stay. The building was so inviting and clean.
It was fine. The rooms are very, very small. I felt a bit stifled and I stayed in a double, but my mom amd aunt stayed in a twin. They said it was tight but they liked the property. The breakfast was good and it was nice to choose the menu and have fresh prepared food.
Be careful, this hotel will price gouge you for claimed damages. I use an herbal medicine that always washes out of any linens. No hotel has charged me for the medicine getting on linens, because it washes out. Here they charged me because there was some of the herbal medicine on a hand towel. Very disappointing. Will not be coming back.
These were the nicest people on the planet! So kind and thoughtful. The breakfast was incredible and I had 3 different items during my stay. What a bargain!
Best little hotel in town
What a fabulous little Hotel with the most wonderful friendly caring helpful staff. The hotel is in a great location very quiet but close to everything you want and need in Chiang Mai. Breakfast was a treat and the little pool was just so effect for cooling off and rooftop deck a lovely way to end the evening. Will definitely stay here again
What a great stay. Staff was beyond wonderful and very polite. Very clean and lots of great options for food and markets. The rooms are small but it was just a cherry on top with the boutique feel. It was perfect for two adults. Plus the bed was super comfy to help with the jet lag. Definitely going up miss this Chiang mai experience.
Very quiet
The hotel staff is amazing. Great location, conveniently located. Claire at front desk is great.
This is the Perfect home base for your stay in Chiang Mai! The entire facility is spotless, is centrally located, and the staff makes certain that every need is met with efficiency and a smile. The bed is extremely comfortable. The breakfast that is served each morning is made-to-order and is delicious. The pool is very refreshing. This will be my home-away-from-home every time I am back in Chiang Mai! Highly recommend!
The hotel is very nice and cozy for a short stay. Lovely staff and located near the old city, which is a plus.
Great location and friendly staff!
Amazing staff that go out of their way to help you.
Excellent!!!!
Outstanding customer service.
Was a very cute and basic hotel. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. We got locked out of our room one night due to the door malfunctioning, but the staff were very sweet and worked through the night to get it fixed. The location is ideal as its very close to the old city.
Well located and the staff is great. The only issue is the shower isn’t good
Great, small place. In walking distance to the old city and close to the main markets. Ked at the reception took care of everything. Ohh. I forgot the great breakfast and the support staff. I’ll come again ….
In a great spot, just abit small
The place is very city center and very convenient. Walking distance to the main roads. Breakfast set was great and staff are friendly.
Cosy stay close to central Chiangmai
Enjoyed the stay at Kate & Hasu, had a top floor room with nice view of mountains with sunset. Close walk to many bars and restaurants including a really nice vegan place called Vegan heaven I’d recommend even if not vegan. Nice pool too cool off in and nice choice of breakfasts cooked to order.
Loved our stay
Lovely time! The facilities were very clean and posh. Service was excellent all the time. They prepared breakfast for us everyone morning that was delicious and quick and they were very helpful anytime we had questions or concerns or needed suggestions. Our front desk concierge even helped us negotiate a cheaper taxi price to the airport! The beds are very comfortable and cozy. The rooms are a little smaller but if you don't mind, this place is a perfect place to stay in Chiang mai! Great location as well!
Wonderful hosts. You'll feel like a guest.
Nice small hotel. Great breakfast, great service. but the room is too small.
Wonderful place, fantastic staff.
Wonderful place, fantastic staff. Very happy with my short stay. The room was spotlessly clean, the staff very nice. Lots of facilities (which I'll have a chance to use when I stay longer next time!) including a pool, rooftop terrace, small gym etc. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a place to stay in Chiang Mai.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Very good service and very friendly staff. They recommend places to eat when we ask and show us how to get there. They ask us about our day and how we plan to go around (I'm assuming to help us find transpo if don't have yet). Good breakfast too and they tell us what's in it. We're on the 4th floor so we have easy access to the rooftop with nice seats. Good sunset too!
Best Chaing Mai Visit!
It was delightful! The staff could not have been more helpful accommodating in every way. They had a driver, a young man who was a sweeties ever. Not only took us to our destination but gave us a tour of the mountaintop temples as well. Will definitely stay here again!
A little oasis
My colleague recommended this hotel. It was a bliss to stay here, right from the start. We arrived in the morning, and the staff welcomed us with some refreshments. My co-traveller felt sick after the morning flight. I got instructions from Ked, the lady at the reception desk on how to get to the nearest pharmacy, and she wrote down on a piece of paper, in Thai, what medication I should ask for. By the time I got back, Pony ("Pond" in Thai?), had already been to the nearby market and got a lime for him too, apparently it helps. From this moment on right until the end, we felt at home. Breakfast: 10 out of 10. The room had everything we needed (we were in Chiang Mai on holiday). It was not a large room, but it got us to keep our stuff tidy every day. Ked, Po, Karne & Team, thank you very much for the experience. Special thanks to Pony. She may just be an intern, but she's a rising star. She's young, but the way she can relate to clients is amazing.
First off the staff was great and eager to help with any questions we had. The place was really well taken care of and the breakfast was amazing for the price. The only downside are the size of the rooms. If you have a girlfriend such as mine that decides to bring a her huge suitcase, be prepared to make space when opening it in the room. We had to take turns opening them up while getting ready each day. Keep in mind our room was a queen sized bed, maybe the other rooms are a little bigger. All in all this place was great and I wouldn’t mind staying here again but only if I’m traveling alone due to the size of the rooms.
We had a lovely stay, place was in a great location, walkable to many restaurants and shops. Staff was amazing, so accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was delicious every morning. Amenities were also great, rooms were clean and comfortable. We loved our stay !
This was our favorite place we stayed while on vacation. The staff was AMAZING!! Very clean, very safe, and loved the location.
Staff was exexcellent! It's a cute little hotel.
great location, nice cute hotel and friendly staff
Everything was perfect, the staff was great, the food delicious, the harmony of the place, love it!
On arrival we were greeted and swiftly shown our rooms. Staff are exceptionally welcoming, especially Saint and Ked. Absolutely make the stay perfect. Only negative was the bed sheets and pillows on arrival, they were dirty and had stains of make up, but the team were quick to resolve the issue.
Room Too Small
My room was SUPER TINY, I couldn't even unpack my bag. Service was okay, but for the price of what you get it's honestly not worth it.
Wonderful days
We had an enjoyable and memorable stay at Kate n Hasu, the staff are warm and hospitable and we definitely will come back and stay at Kate n Hash.
I don't typically write reviews... but my experience was so great, I felt I needed to. Our stay here was beyond great. The hotel/room was everything you need, but my real reason for writing my review is the staff. These are some of the best, kindest people. One staff member gave us a recommendation to rent a taxi and go to a view point/sutep it was one of the best things we did over our whole trip. Would hands down stay here again. It was great.
The customer service is excellent. Grateful for the recommendations & willingness to serve so readily. But the rooms are really very small. However, the bed is super comfortable.
Great staff, decor and location. Nowhere to hang or store any clothing and no shelf in bathroom
Great place just outside the Old City, perfect for relaxing and planning your next excursion. Very friendly staff. Rooms are compact but very efficient and pleasant.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms with AC and strong wifi. Nice breakfast options even though we didn't wake up early enough for them! Would stay again. One of the concierge even drove us to the airport when taxis were operating at a higher rate!
Amazing Stay!
Our stay at Kate and Hasu was fantastic. All of the staff (Ked, Gam, and especially Saint) were so helpful with recommendations, bookings, and hospitality. Everything was clean and in order. Breakfast was amazing each day. Anything we needed, they provided for us. The hotel is within walking distance to the night bazaar, the city gate, shops, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend!
Kate and Hasu was a great place to stay in Chiang Mai. The location was quiet but close to everything and the hotel was overall very nice. The staff was amazing and were extremely helpful, especially Sen who answered all our questions and helped us plan our day and hire a driver. The breakfast was excellent too! The room was small but nice. The only con was the shower - tiny and got the rest of the bathroom wet. But only a minor downside compared to the rest of our experience at Kate and Hasu! We would stay there again!
The reviews are right! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
LOVED! Stayed at this hotel based on reviews. SO happy we did! Room was great, beds were comfortable, a/c worked beautifully. Breakfast was soooo good! Best part about this hotel was the people who work there! So kind, so helpful, so friendly. Perfect place to stay. Don’t even think of booking anywhere else!
Nice boutique hotel
Room was a bit small but clean. Service staff were nice and helpful, and good selection of breakfast options were offered
Cosy & friendly boutique hotel
Location is excellent. It is just 5 minutes’ walk to the Phae Gate & 15 minutes’ drive to the airport. There are lots of restaurants nearby. Hotel facilities is sufficient, with a small gym and a swimming pool. Breakfast is ordered to make and you have some 5-6 sets to choose. During my 3-night stays, I have tried different styles & all are delicious. Staff are friendly & enthusiastic. Thanks to a lady counter staff, sorry that I’ve forgotten her name, who has rendered immediate assistance in solving my key lock problem on the 3rd night. Again, would like to thank Zen for advising us to go an amazing half-day tour. He is nice & has brought a lot of fun to us. All in all, Kate & Hasu is a high quality-price ratio.
After visiting Bangkok and Pattaya City my friend and I needed a calm three days. This hotel exceeded that. We arrived thinking we were at a spa! The staff, especially the gentleman who works the front desk, were amazing. Our room was clean and cold (great during Thai hot season) and the breakfast was delicious! Will 100% come again. I recommended using the hotels taxi service as well. The pool is also very cold which was an added bonus in 40 degree weather.
The location was great, Hotel staff were amazing, and room and amenities were very clean and comfortable. The staff would always go above and beyond to provide advice for us as first time travellers to make sure our trip was great. When we had to leave early in the morning they even packed us up a paper bag breakfast without us asking! Great experience.
Oh where do I start! This may have been our favorite property to stay at during our recent Thailand trip. The room and hotel was spotless, the view of Chiang Mai from the 4th floor roof lounge was such a pleasant surprise, the pool serene and refreshing, the breakfast (included) delicious! But truly what made this stand out was their staff. Each and every employee that we came into contact with went out of our way to make our stay (and experience in Chiang Mai) special. I was traveling alone with my son and they helped everything from ideas as to what to see to airport transfer. I’m so grateful and we will definitely be coming back!
Wonderful place very close to everything nice and helpful stuff
