Great hotel, location and excellent service.
A very nice hotel and very friendly staff not only at reception but all over the hotel. We got upgraded to a really large room and given free buffet breakfast as well because we are VIP of Hotels.com/Expedia. So, if you are a VIP. Stay in this hotel. : ) Location is great and parking is at location under cover. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast Thanks Kanazawa Tokyu Hotel. .
We had a family of 6 staying in 2 separate rooms for this trip. The Hotel was easy to find and met all our requirements. We made some requests to have 2 rooms close together and they were very helpful with that. They were also very helpful in helping us make airport transfer arrangements. Overall, the service is what stands out, even amongst the lofty service standards in Japan. Would stay here again if I'm ever in Kanazawa.
The staff is amazing, I really appreciate all their help and hospitality
Great customer service and the room had a nice view over the city. The place seemed slightly aged but well maintained. Our room was spacious (deluxe double room 35sqm), but we found it a bit dark the existing lighting fixtures.
バスタブの清掃が出来ていなかった
Excellent room, great view, friendly staff
Older hotel, check in staff was pleasant and accommodating, but check out staff was rather rude. Doormen were very pleasant and helpful Room was decent - but bed was really hard (not firm, but hard). Room was clean but a bit dated. Refrigerator does not cool anything down and cleaning staff “forgot” to clean the back of the TV. Room was warm even with temp dialed down to my preferred level - maybe it was centrally controlled. Overall, as expected, and no surprises.
The hotel was great! We enjoyed our stay and the service provided was above and beyond
Everything about this hotel was great. The property and staff are wonderful. The location is convenient and the nearby area has much to discover.
Clean and quiet
First room stank of cigarette smoke. Asked to change rooms and was that told they had nothing. After explaining that I wasn’t letting my child sleep in that room and that we now had no other option but to stay at that hotel due to everywhere else being sold out, they then did find another available room?! Stank of musk, but better than smoke! Rooms very dated and old. Bathroom was laughable, looked like it was from the 70’s. Tiny rooms with hardly any space around the bed. Poor airflow. Fancy exterior and reception, the rest of the hotel needs a full renovation! Avoid staying here!!
Conveniently located for tourists. SBUX on first floor to start your day. Clean rooms and showers. Highly recommended.
素晴らしいホテルですです
シャワーの強さや空調の調整には難がありますが、その他サービス含め全て満足できるホテルです。 古くはなりましたが、古さは記載の2つくらいで、立地やサービスレベルも非常に高いホテルだと思います。
Nice
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful town. Loved every single moment we spent in Kanazawa.
Good experience overall, rooms are a bit dated but in good condition.
Staff were excellent
Great stay here.
The hotel was clean, staff was great snd there were nice amenities provided. The location was also wonderful. On top of all that, the upgraded room was very spacious and light and a good price!!
Great staff friendly and accommodating.
The room was beautiful and the service was superb. We very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
The room was beautiful and the service was excellent. We very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Hotel is conveniently located, 15min away from the main train station and just off a Main Street. Staff was lovely to interact with and very helpful. Breakfast buffet was nice. Nothing amazing, but appropriate. The room was also fine. A bit old and sad for a 4 star hotel, but there wasn’t anything really wrong outside of age and little things like the shower curtain not being long enough or the AC being on heat only and having to open the window to get some cool air in. Overall good, but don’t except a fancy stay here.
Great stay will return
Great hotel not to far from the station easily accessible by bus - if you don’t have big luggage. 1000 -1400 yen to/from station by taxi if you have large pieces of luggage - or you can try sending luggage ahead. Concierge was very helpful in booking bus ticket to Shirakawago-e. Good location with lots of eateries nearby as well as shopping.
The Tokyo Hotel Kanezawa is a superior hotel. As I walked to the hotel the skies opened up with a wet snow. Upon arrival, the staff brought me a towel to dry my head. The room was excellent. The staff was excellent.
Beautiful luxury hotel with top flight service. Room was clean and spacious and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. There are a lot of newer hotels in Kanazawa but if you want classic high-end amenities and service the Tokyu is hard to beat.
The room we’ve stayed with small tatami area was very spacious and beautiful. The buffet breakfast was also nice as well as their cozy lounge. There is nothing wrong with this hotel and we’ve enjoyed our stay so much. The area around the hotel is so lively and everything is near by. Kenroku garden, Kanazawa castle, and 21st century museum are all walking distance. There is also Tokyu store connected to the hotel and another big department store right across from the hotel. Very convenient location and absolutely one of the best hotels to stay in Kanazawa!
I must have accidentally got a smoking room but the front desk was able to get me a non smoking room and it was awesome.
There's absolutely nothing you can fault with this hotel. Everything, everyone...first class!
Very nice area, beautiful view, excellent breakfast, helpful staff. Really impressed. I will go back.
Fantastic hotel, great location, the parking is a little expensive for guests, and there is no laundry service on-site. Everything else is new, clean, and very nice.
We had a conference and business meetings. The venue was great and staff very helpful.
Good hotel, highly recommend
Excellent experience. Staff went above and beyond. Thank you
By far the best hotel I’ve stayed in Japan. Love it!
Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff and very nice spacious rooms. A mall just downstairs and transportation to subway and buses just outside the door. Highly recommend.
A great base for the 2 nights we were there. Clean and very comfortable
The hotel and staff were very warm and helpful! The proximity to Kanazawa castle and surrounding gardens was ideal for sight seeing! I would definitely stay here again!!
Excellent hotel.the staff is amazing.
Property is located in a great place and staff was very good. The air conditioner kept turning off and I couldn’t sleep
Great location easy access to bus stop and near attractions. Only thing is that hotel restaurant was closed on lunch. On Wednesday near restaurants were also closed.
全体的にはとても良いホテルでしたが、部屋着がボタンが付いていなく、また浴槽のお湯を抜くと逆流してきました。直して欲しいとも伝えましたが回答はなく翌日も逆流がありとてもガッカリしました。
Easy access to dining and attractions. Staff was helpful and value was unbelievable.
Very convenient parking place, Have a many restaurants around. If they can have more discount on parking if the customer stays longer.
I recently stayed at the Kanazawa Tokyu Hotel in Kanazawa in the beginning of January 2023, and had a great experience. The hotel was nice, spacious, and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, although the western food options could have been a bit better. Despite this, the hotel was a comfortable place to stay while in Kanazawa. The location was great, with easy access to the Kenroku-en Garden and Kanazawa Castle, and the geisha district was also close by. It was always easy to get transport or a taxi from the hotel location, which was convenient. Overall, I would recommend the Kanazawa Tokyu Hotel for its convenient location, comfortable amenities, and friendly staff.
Excellent location. Professional and helpful staff and excellent value for money. In-house dining options very limited, though decent options nearby. Overall an excellent deal and would go again.
It was very close to Kanazawa gardens which is what we came to see and were an absolute delight. Everything in the hotel was VERY expensive, breakfast was lovely but a ridiculous price.
Great stay in Kanazawa
Nice room, great service. Very near to main attractions of Kanazawa.
Although there was an initial problem with the ac unit in my room, the staff member who was on duty helped to change the room. Thank you for your hospitality.
Beautiful Hotel, Beautiful Staff, Perfect location
Beautiful Hotel, Beautiful Staff, Perfect location in the heart of Kanazawa. Will stay there again. If you are considering Kanazawa. Definitely go to Kanazawa and definitely stay at his Hotel. It will be one your best experiences in Japan in this beautiful little city.
Easy access by car, and parking just ¥1200 for 24 hours with multiple access. Great concierge service. Excellent helpful staff in all areas of the hotel. Fair english spoken, but some staff are very fluent. Great location just 10 min stroll to Kanazawa Castle. Many shops and restaurants nearby.
This hotel is very clean and well maintained. Decent size rooms with ton of amenities. However what makes this hotel different is the staff who work there. Everyone is very friendly and kind, especially the doorman. We asked his recommendations for breakfast and the restaurant was amazing. Also every time we came back to the hotel from sightseeing, he greeted with great smiles and asked how our day was. Highly recommend this hotel. Amazing!
Good hotel with friendly staff and an excellent location in Korinbo
Very convenient location and excellent facilities. Staff was very helpful although not everyone could converse well in English. The breakfast buffet was diverse and delicious. Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely hotel within walking distance to lots of attractions.
Excellent modern hotel in good location for Kanazawa sight seeing
The hotel staff is amazing. They are super helpful and friendly. They will even help you with translation and setting up reservations at restaurants. The place is clean and well organized. The breakfast and food have enough options for all types of diets. The rooms are spacious and clean. The downside I have to report is room comfort. When we arrived the room was hot. I called down for a fan. They said we don’t have any. I gave it a few hours. No change. I called about the AC they said that they could change it down there even though I had a thermostat. No change. Went down to the desk. They told me it’s controlled by the building essentially confirming my thermostat was useless. Their solution? Open a window and we will send up a fan. (A fan they never said they had) the room was probably 76-80 degrees for all three days. The plus side was it helped motivate us to leave and explore the city. Only tolerable at night when the temperature outside dropped. Maybe it was just my floor, or my room, or bad information. But if you run hot. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
Comfortable hotel, helpful staff and great location.
Wonderful stay - very helpful staff, lovely rooms on superior floor, good breakfast & use of club lounge was special treat
Great Hotel, Great Location
Our stay here was great. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are typically small, as expected in Japan but are clean, tidy and feel modern. Beds are comfy however the pillows were not the best. The location of the hotel is excellent with a Kanazawa Loop Bus stop right at the door to connect you to all parts of the city. The old samurai house district is a short walk from the hotel and there are some excellent dining options nearby. This is a great place to base yourself for exploring Kanazawa.
Convenient location on Kanazawa loop services
Great service from concierge. Hotel is conveniently located on the route of the Kanazawa loop services making it easy to travel to the various tourist sites.
Service was excellent. Staff was extremely attentive, helpful & friendly. Hotel was walking distance from Kenrokuen & Kanazawa Castle grounds. Hotel was also right on clockwise & counterclockwise bus routes to Kanazawa train station & major visitor attractions. Major shopping near hotel & along bus routes. Very visitor friendly city. Day bus passes & very frequent buses. Relatively low rise city. Streets & sidewalks clear even after weeks of heavy snow.
Good location to explore Kanazawa
Great location to explore Kanazawa - close walk to market, the tourist sites, restaurants. Very convenient.
Rooms are tiny. You can't even swing a cat in it.
We used this hotel as a stopover on way to the Alpine Route in Toyama. The hotel is in a good spot, close to castle, gardens and shopping/Restaurants. However, the rooms are tiny. It's like a notch above a premier inn. No safe either.
The hotel is so-so
The location is 5 stars, close to everything... 21 Century Museum, the park. The hotel is connect to the shopping mall & there is supermarket, cafes, restaurants, shops etc. There is convenience store, donut place and department store just across the road. However, the hotel itself is average. I expected more as the hotel is managed under a big group. The room size is average in Japan. We booked the twin room cause we needed 2 beds as we travelled with 2 young children. I thought they provided TWIN beds but it was singles and the bed was kind of soft so those 2 nights wasn't very comfortable. When we enter the room, I could feel the room was full of dust, my skin was turning red and I was sneezed non stop. I had to ask the housekeeping to vacuum the room the next morning as I was allergic to dust. We arrive around 8pm, the night shift staff spoke very little English. When i checked in she even forgot to ask me to complete the guest information form. They told a Chinese bell-boy to send it up to my room for completion when he sent the luggage to our room (but I don't speak Chinese). They did provide 2 sets of bath towels and amenities etc. Although, I made the booking with children. I had to call housekeeping for extra towels and sleepers.
Awesome
Beautiful hotel, fantastic area
Nice service as always. BKF was ok not as good as Hotel Trusty cross street
Great stay. Value for money. Centrally located.
Great stay. Highly recommended. Centrally located for all visitor sites next to main bus stop. Most areas accessible on foot. Great hotel.
Convenient, clean, comfortable
The hotel was conveniently situated near the sites we were interested in visiting. Staff was very helpful in making reservations for various sites and providing ideas on where to eat nearby. The location, while near a shopping area, is also very convenient to a nearby neighborhood with lots of restaurants.
Excellent service, perfect location
The service was simply excellent and the location was perfect. Some friends stayed at similarly priced hotels and the comparison was very favorable to this hotel.
Luxury hotel in a smaller city.
Great hotel near beautiful gardens. Worthwhile if you want to see something between Tokyo & Kyoto.
Great location and friendly staff, will recommend friends and family
Location
Very good location. Walking distance to Kenrokuen Park and restaurant plus high grade shops.
Great location
This is a nice hotel. Location is superb for accessing the loop bus to tourist spots but also many in walking distance. Rooms are neat, if a little dated.
Great hotel with great staff - location is AMAZING!
Elegant hotel well situated to sights of interest
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, wonderfully situated hotel. It's on the main transport line and located in an ideal spot for visiting key sites in Kanazawa.
Premium hotel in Kanazawa
A late booking, we were positively surprised by what is definitely an upmarket hotel, with some touches verging on luxury, especially the concierge service, and overall, very thoughtful staff, even in the context of Japan. The room was a twin one on the higher floors, in tip top shape, looked recently done or renovated. Touch small in a Japanese way, but with a reasonably generous bathroom. Overall, really happy with the booking and the stay, would book again, and would encourage me to book at other Tokyu hotels.
Convenient location, close to shops and Kanawaza Castle.
Excellent location within walking distance to all the major attractions and restaurants. Beds comfy and staff helpful. Room was a little small but adequate.
Central location
Stayed three nights and were very pleased with the overall quality and location in downtown Kanazawa. It is possible to walk to many of the main tourist sites and the stops for the tourist loop buses are located close to the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. We also enjoyed the size of the room which was quite spacious by Japanese standards. Our only quibble was that the air conditioning seemed to be shut down part way through the night, leaving the room quite warm and stuffy. We had the same experience with another Tokyu hotel in Japan, so we wondered if this may be an economy measure. If so, a booking in the summer might be pretty uncomfortable. It was possible to open the window in our room, though, and this helped. Otherwise a really good choice.
Great location but tiny rooms
Great location but tiny rooms. Excellent walk to gardens. Dining facilities far too expensive
Excellent hotel close to main Kanazawa attractions
Was visiting Kanazawa to view the Kenrokuen Gardens and Kanazawa Castle at cherry blossom time. The Kanazawa Tokyu Hotel was ideally situated an easy 6-8 minute walk from the entrances of both sites. The hotel itself was well presented with attractive public spaces and pleasant rooms. Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and efficient. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
Good location and comfortable hotel
I enjoyed beautiful Sakura the area around this hotel. I think this is the best locatiln hotel.
About 1100yen taxi from JR Kanazawa to hotel.
Can walk to some famous places, a loop bus stop is located at front of hotel, staff speaks English with professional attitude and excellent service. Interesting, I do hair cut in the salon at the ground floor of the hotel, the price is surprisingly cheaper than Hong Kong. Will stay again!
Great hotel
This hotel is located about 15 mins walk from Kanazawa Station & 15 mins. walk from Kenrokuen/Kanazawa Castle. There are many restaurants & stores near by. Hotel room was clean, the breakfast buffett with many selection was very good. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
Nice hotel in Kanazawa good location .
Perfect hotel in Kanazawa
Beautiful Hotel showcasing gorgeous Kanazawa art in every aspect. First class and conveniently located. Staff was just the best! We would definitely stay there again.
Great service great location and excellent decoration
A hotel that takes pride
The Tokyu Hotel in Kanazawa is absolutely first class. It operates with both perfect efficiency and calsm assurance. The only criticism is that the beds are a touch too firm.
Nice hotel must stay
Excellent service!! Love the concierge lady, she is so lovely and helpful. Definitely go back again.
Nice well-managed hotel, could be 4-star, kudos
Standout service. Staff fluent in English and very helpful. Took time to help me make my plans. Even called the bus company for me to reserve tickets to Shirakawa-go. Good restaurants within the hotel, and more nearby. Very close to Kenrokuen. The tourists (loop) buses stop right outside. Also close to the Samurai-traditional houses district - its basically right behind the hotel. Also, I had a corner room - which had a great panoramic view. The room was also more spacious than the norm in most 3-star hotels in Japan. This ought to be a 4-star hotel at least. Everything else works as it should - no specific complaint.
The room is a bit dim and the decor is slightly old fashion. The staff was very helpful and attentive. There is always a smile on their face. Especially the conceige service was excellent, the lady who help us to find a nice bar and help us to make reservation for the restaurants we wanted to go to, when she found out that the restaurant is full she gave us other restaurant recommendations. I am very happy with their service
Good hotel, no compliants.
Lovely hotel, clean, very grand, hotel service was excellent. Rooms were a good size. Walking distance to the Kenroku-en gardens (10 or 15 minutes) and some nice shopping and restaurants in the immediate area.
Good location
Room was very small but good location to visit main attractions
Lovely Kanazawa
We loved this hotel - out of all the 5/6 places we stayed on Japan, possibly the nicest. Very quiet, clean and elegant decor. We didn't pay for the fanciest room so weren't sure what to except but it was lovely. Great view of the castle and also close to Babbling Street (not sure of the name in Japanese) with its little river/stream and great restaurants. Recommended.
Perfect for Kanazawa
Perfect location for a trip to Kanazawa... Close to all the local attractions.. highly recommend you stay here.. loved it
Fab location for exploring Kanazawa
Fab location for exploring the heart of Kanazawa - shopping, eating and Samurai district. The hotel staff recommended some great eateries nearby. Food in Kanazawa is terrific and prices not bad compared to other major cities. We loved strolling this charming town and discovering new areas. Locals all thanked us for visiting Kanazawa. Lovely town, lovely people.

Unbelievable location. Amazing staff
