We absolutely loved our stay at Kagi Maldives for our honeymoon. The island is beautiful, secluded, and quiet. We stayed in an Ocean Villa on the water, the room size was great with easy access to the ocean and coral reefs. The coral reefs on the island were fantastic and so easy to get to from the room, we saw turtles, sharks, manta rays, and plenty of fish. We selected the all-inclusive package, which I'd recommend not to worry about costs each day. The buffet for dinner wasn't open when we were there, so we ate at Ke-un and Nonna each night. We loved Ke-un, and the prawns were massive and spicy, our favourite dish. We also enjoyed Nonna but preferred Ke-un for the asian food. There is a good selection at both restaurants. All the food we had good, the buffet breakast had lots of chocie and the dumplins and pastries were delicious and our favourite part. The drinks choices are extensive, most cocktails we really enjoyed, and the wine selection was great. The bar staff were great and attentive, never waited long for a drink. We arranged a chefs table dinner. Nahil, who was superb throughout, managed to arrange for this a secluded beach, which was a very special. The food was delicious and the setup beautiful. Overall, the island is beautiful with an amazing coral reef, the staff are attentive and friendly, the food and drinks are excellent with a wide selection, and it was very romantic and secluded, perfect place for our honeymoon.
Firstly, we would recommend this island to all people looking for a calm, quiet space, who care about the environment and coral reefs. This hotel, in particular, has a good sustainability ethos and refrains from watersports that could disturb the coral reef and its inhabitants. We are a couple from London and arrived for a 9-night stay on the island. We were warmly greeted by a Kagi representative as we arrived at Male airport. The gentleman kindly escorted us and facilitated our seaplane check-in. This was a very smooth process. The seaplane itself was hugely enjoyable. It was lovely seeing all the atolls from above. We then had a boat transfer from the seaplane dock to the island, where we were warmly greeted by Cindy, our representative for the island. Our stay at Kagi was nothing short of amazing. The island itself is small, quiet, and in harmony with its surroundings. The architecture was modern yet aligned with Maldivian island vibes interspersed with greenery and flowers. There were multiple restaurants to choose from, all pre-arranged by Cindy, which made our experience completely stress-free. The food choices were extensive, and the food and drinks were exquisite. The ocean pool villa was stunning. The outdoor shower and bath were a nice touch, but the steps down to the reef were the best part. We had such amazing snorkeling experiences, seeing turtles, sharks, puffer fish, and lionfish, to name a few. Kagi is apparently well-known for its reef.
We had a great time and would love to return again. Our thanks to all the staff for helping to make it special.
I wish I could give this property 10 stars everything is just perfect.
Had wonderful experience staying at Kagi Great environment Highly recommended
Everything from accommodations to dinning, to grounds, to service, is excellent. Not a lot of activities during the day, except some yoga classes. Some excursions are available. Prices are high.
Highly Recommend
Staff was very helpful coordinating the transportation, prices were reasonable for staying on an island with only one resort, and beautiful resort. No children, very relaxing.
KAGI: A Rising Star
Simply amazing. Excellent and frindly service all over... None Mentioned None Forgotten
Wonderful <3
Only kagi resort at this island. U can walk the whole island in 10 minutes. There are about 3 restaurants and meals are served on schedule. Workers are friendly and helpful. Its about 50 villas here and 100+ workers so its good service.
End of year trip
Overall, we had an enjoyable holidays in Kagi. The level of service and resort condition was top notch. However the only let down was that the island is not as green as other islands in the Maldives. The place would look stunning with some more greenery. But otherwise highly recommended
Great property. Everything was great aside from transportation to the airport. They dropped us off on a random island with no wifi and no instructions on what to do or when the seaplane would come. Sour way to end the trip
After looking at multiple resorts in the Maldives I decided to go out on a limb and pick Kagi, so glad I did. When I first started looking I was unable to find reviews for Kagi, that was because there weren’t any, Newly build and recently opened. Kagi is perfect… from the food to the staff it’s all perfect, we stayed a week and can’t say a single bad thing about the resort. 1500 characters won’t let me post my full review on Kagi… see Travelocity and look at the full reviews… so just book it and let Nuwan fix you drinks at the bar, you will not be disappointed…
Great value for money, excellent staff. 10 out of 10 for me (and I have a lot to compare with as this is my 11th time in the Maldives.)
MY STAY AT KAGI WAS AMAZING. I booked an overwater villa on the ocean (water can be rough) so I recommend booking a lagoon villa. We changed our room with no issues. The staff here was amazing, customer service was absolutely on point. The island is small, quaint, quiet, beautiful. You feel like you are staying on your own personal island. The hotel is new so everything feels and looks nice and up to date. The food was great, but don’t expect michelin star quality. Breakfast buffet was so nice everything fresh and a huge variety of foods facing the ocean. Spa was out of this world and a beautiful set up water villa. Water sports they offer many different tours, dives, boats. Lastly and very important part of my travels was the seaplane. The seaplane to Kagi is only 15 minutes from main Male island. Some seaplane rides arw an hour plus and can be costly. Don’t hesitate and book Kagi you won’t regret it!

Delightful stay.
From the moment stepping off the plane, everything was coordinated and executed to perfection. From island host Chiara to Chef Sourav, the time spent here was amazing. Highly recommend
Very private resort , no kids , this place has everything you need , i liked that all the staff was very friendly and attentive all the time , especially Min Soe , restaurant supervisor and our host Maria , every villa has its own pool , indoor and also outdoor shower which was unique, we would recommend this resort to everyone that wants piece and quiet especially if you want to escape hustle and bustle of a big city….
My Kagi experience
We enjoyed our stay at Kagi. It’s my second time here at the hotel. We were group of 3 people and we had 2 rooms ocean and lagoon villa, yet the air condition in the rooms was ok it doesn’t go higher than 21.5 Celsius. I love the staff they are humble and welcoming. I will definitely come back to Kagi for a short retreat to switch off. Also, their reef is beautiful for snorkeling.

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of staying on this small, beautiful island and can say with confidence that it was one of the best holiday experiences of our lives. The intimacy of this tiny island was exactly what we were looking for - it felt like our own private paradise! Every inch of the island was beautifully maintained and the setting was straight out of a dream. One of the highlights was definitely the house reef. Amazing snorkeling was just a short swim from either your room or the beach! The diversity of the marine life was incredible and bountiful, including colourful fish, turtles, rays and small (and big) sharks. It felt like having our own private aquarium right on our doorstep! We even had the good fortune to witness dolphins playing and jumping from the panoramic view from the gymnasium. The food was another standout, with the buffet style breakfast providing a huge variety of food to cater for ever pallet and was very impressive considering the island’s small size. Each evening meal was also a feast for the senses, prepared to perfection and served with a smile. What truly made this trip exceptional, however, was the staff. The service was faultless and everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive. They took the time to get to know us and tailored everything to make sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Attention to detail was remarkable and it was clear they genuinely cared about making our experience unforgettable.
