Wonderful stay, staff was wonderful and helped us book tours/driver as well as a doctor for an urgent medical issue. Would stay here again

The staff were attentive, polite and accommodating. When I had a problem with my credit card in Canada, they ensured I could call them without incurring any long distance charges when the collect call was not working. The restaurants were great to eat at and we really enjoyed a massage at the spa after many days of hiking. One suggestion is that you become a Marriott member to get free internet as rooms booked through Expedia often don't include complementary access. Again another example of the great service, when I realised the Internet was not free, they arranged to get me signed up as a member and then reversed out the changes. Many hotels I have stayed at need to spend some time here to understand what great customer service looks like. Needless to say, the rooms were very clean, very comfortable and the overall environment was great. They represented real value for money and I will be sure to stay here when we return again.

The hotel and room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. My only complaint was the food in the restaurant, I felt like it was overpriced and not good.

This was truly a 5-star experience. We had never visited Quito before and it was the perfect place for us to call “home” for 3 nights. The rooms were so quiet. The lobby area was just breath taking. The staff were incredible and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was wonderful. I would absolutely recommend staying here to all friends and family. And I hope we have the privilege of staying again. Thank you!!

Property is amazing , staff was awful the guy that did the check in was trying to get us to get another room , room was 2 queen beds or 4 people guy said is 2 adults and 2 kids , we were 3 adults one kid , like I never in all my trips around the world and hotels in Quito I had anybody tells me this , he was trying to get money from us , was an awful experience,

Beautiful hotel with an art gallery ambiance. Stellar customer service with complimentary champagne at check in; very nice dining options inside, several gift shops, gorgeous outdoor pool area, spa & gym. Very spacious and comfortable room with a large balcony and outdoor seating. This hotel has everything you could possibly want including security presence around the property. We were advised not to walk off the property for safety.

A place to stay in Quito

A great property all around. Excellent service, roomy and fresh rooms, great restaurants (we tried two: Botanica and Kaori - both dinners were delicious). Rental car office next door (Localiza) also comes very convenient.

Best Hotel and Service - Hands Down!!

Whenever I go down to Quito, I always stay at this Marriott. Hands down the most secure hotel I've ever stayed at. The service is ALWAYS 10/10 and they always make me feel at home, welcoming me back every time. I HIGHLY recommend staying at THIS hotel if you ever need one on your next trip down to Quito, Ecuador.

This was a beautiful hotel filled with class, flowers , music and the sounds of a waterfall in the lobby. So relaxing !

A Good Hotel Option for 1 or 2 nights

The hotel makes a nice stay over when transiting via Quito to the Galapagos or other destination in Ecuador. Staff and service were great, very welcoming and helpful. We ate dinner in the Botanica Restaurant and found the service and quality excellent (try the Tempura Shrimp entree). The heated book was very welcome and while we did not have time to use it, the fitness center was large with a great selection of modern equipment. The Executive Lounge was nice with a protected outdoor sitting area. We had breakfast there and the choices were great, with a cook making custom eggs (including an excellent Huevos Rancheros). The hotel is a bit dated, but in excellent condition. The main downside is the location, in the financial district, which closes down at night. Hotel staff warned us not to walk outside after 6pm. It is about a 20-minute taxi ride with traffic to the historic old down, so not convenient if you have a short time and want to explore. It is about a 45-minute drive to the airport compared with 1.5 hours from the historic city center. So, depending on how early your flight departure, it may be a better option than a hotel in the old town. Several Galapagos cruise lines use the hotel as pre/post hotel stay with flight connections.

How is possible that you did not accept to make a change of my reservation since the day before assassinated to a President candidate.Quito was not safe that why I want to change the reservation to another time. This is not my first time staying at the JW Marriot Quito. My next trip, I will not use the JW Marriot Hotel. Jaime Maldonado

A superlative hotel in Quito!

I would definitley say best hotel in quito! 5 star hotel in everybsense!

The hotel was beautiful the staff was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was terrific with several hot choices. The only negative was that the hotel is in an area not conducive to walking. That said we will stay there anytime we return to Quito.

Service Excellence

Great front desk people with a friendly and quick check-in and always available for any questions. I was really wow'd by the magnificent displays of roses throughout the large lobby area. Very large and lavish pool area. Clean, large, modern bed and bath with comfortable bed and pillows. I liked the small but very tasty breakfast area. Shops were great for souvenirs and ALL of my day tours picked me up in the lobby of the hotel.

Good Stay

It was a one night stay. The check-in was quick and the room spacious and comfortable. In the morning, I asked about getting something small to eat, I was directed to the in-house bakery but given the wrong time by the man behind the front desk of when it opened.

Great mattresses for long days as a tourist.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The first thing I want to point out is the mattress. Even though many international hotels, even expensive ones in Quito, have much firmer mattresses, this Marriott has the signature nice American type hotel mattresses. After two weeks on hard mattresses, my back and muscles were super thankful for this place. Upon arrival, you see bellmen with top hats and long tail coats. The entrance is covered and on a corner, setting the building apart. As you enter, everyone says "Bienvenidos." Efrain at the front desk was absolutely wonderful during our check in and check out process. Every worker is well dressed and very friendly, going out of their way to tend to you desires. Four restaurants onsite including their own where breakfast is served. Breakfast is worth every dime! If they have it available at check in, they may try to upsell your room. For $60 per night we received breakfast for two, a 10th floor larger room (versus 3rd floor, view is AMAZING), and access to the executive lounge. If you can do it, just say YES!

Luxury

After our cloud forest stay, it was absolutely luxurious. I especially loved the large bath tub.

This is the second time staying here when travelling to Quito and although not the cheapest hotel around the hotel continues to be a very pleasing place to stay with a quality staff to address you needs. Very clean and comfortable with places to eat on site along with 24 hr. room service.

We arrived at the Marriott at midnight after bailing from a classic hotel that had a ridiculous loud party. Everything about the Marriott was consummately professional. One of the best hotels I have experienced in Latin America

From the welcome champagne to the the fabulous complimentary ttopical liquor after dinner, all was perfect. Staff engaging, food in Racies amazing and health club generous with hot spa, steaming room and gym. Fabius town Quito an memorable experience. Only negative, not enough days.

The handicap bathroom was not so clean water came out of shower the water faucet was not working and when fixed there was no water pressure. The floors looked clean but was very dusty. Coffee was not good quality.

Amazing stay with superb service

Amazing service from the staff, including help with everything from PCR and fast antigen testing, local restaurant recommendations, sending up ginger tea for an upset stomach and setting up trusted private tours. The room was very comfortable. We stayed here before and after our Galapagos trip. It felt very festive. Also the live pianist in the lobby and the decor, the warm and welcoming porters and doormen, the free champagne. Again, the staff were top notch.

The hotel is beautiful. Rooms are up to date and big. Staff was extremely nice. The only disappointment was the location. Perhaps my mistake in that I thought it was closer to the historic center.
