Excellent hotel for business

Large, clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent service and good quality food.

Clean and convenient

The hotel was old was not very clean the TV in the room was very bad quality picture I checked into one room I have to change my room because of the smell of carbon monoxide for JW Marriott the standard was very low this did not feel or look like a five-star hotel more like a three star hotel

Loved the pool, a must see... the rest of the property was very clean and well run.

Shopping mall next store...also park across the street

Great Hotel with superb service and dining options

Fantastic Hotel with a superb staff run by a very hands on and welcoming General Manager. Very convenient mall is adjacent and the Metro stops are within walking distance but the area is bland in ine of the World's most exciting cities. Charming live music by a talented duo during dinner. Superb food, comfortable accomadation in spacious rooms with bland views of surrounding anonymous buildings and river.

This is a fantastic hotel. We enjoyed the amazing breakfast, the large rooms and the wonderful view onto the river. And the friendliness of the hotel staff. Would love to come back.

Overall is good hotel but needs some improvements.

Air condition made noice all nigh and also can smell smoke from next door. Didn't feel good at this time.

Nice and comfortable stay

Nice and new hotel. Next door is a shopping mall with some restaurant choices. Little far from train station. Breakfast is good but coffee isn't hot enough.

Smart hotel - nice park too

This is a smart spacious hotel, very good staff, excellent breakfasts. The park across the road is good for a walk around, lots going on but also peaceful spots too. The retail and food outlet next door has expanded a lot and has plenty of choices to 'stay local'.

Disappointed

For the past two years I have looked forward to staying at the JW Marriott Changfeng. On previous visits the hotel felt like home away from home, but this last visit was disappointing. My understanding is that hotels in the Marriott family do not allow smoking, even in China. I loved that I could count on this hotel to be smoke-free, unlike most hotels in China. Our room was inundated with cigarette smoke for most of the night. It was as if someone was smoking in our room. I assume the smoke was coming in through the HVAC. It made both me and my fiancé sick. We had specifically requested a non-smoking room to be sure, but not non-smoking neighbors. The staff is wonderful, however. That hasn'the changed.

Great Location and Staff. Average Marriott.

This is an older hotel like many others has a problem with people smoking in non-smoking rooms. So I had to change rooms. The park next to the hotel is the highlight and a reason to stay here. The staff was very helpful and English isn't a problem. Breakfast wasn't anything great - very few special Chinese dishes. Not really sure this rates as a JW - more like a regular Marriott. Hotels.com shows airport shuttle but there wasn't any.

Nice staff and wonderful service with great room

Everything about my stay at this hotel was great. They have nice restaurants and a very nice gym.

It's a very nice hotel but not as close to SHA airport as I'd expected. It was at least 25 mins in a taxi at 5:30am. The local area around the hotel has a few shops but not too much that is within walking distance.

Good deal for the price

Room size is great. Good deal with breakfast included. But quality of service does not meet JW Marriott standard, so is quality of breakfast buffet.

Enoyable

Keep same Marriott spirit, as same as in USA. We like it, but the location has no MRT nearby. The breakfast is over pricing. Room is clean and cozy.

Below my expectations

I booked a room for three and expected either a sofa bed or a roll in bed for my grand daughter. Imagine my surprise when they told me that if we opt for a king size bed then that's it. Or, I can opt for two beds, but very small - only 1.5 m wide. What a disappointment. We are used to a super king at home. Service at breakfast was patchy and it was pathetic when we saw one staff topping up large empty yogurt bowls by emptying small tubs one by one into the larger ones.

Hotel provided all that was needed. Little help or services.

nice place

nice overall place. there is a huge mall nearby which is very convenient. location is great, near Hongqiao airport and train station.

Nice Hotel, But Staff Needs Better Training

The hotel was very nice and staff courteous. However, I was very flustered with their assistance, when I said I wanted to print out boarding passes for the next day's flight. They first said to use the business center, but it was closed that day. Then they said to go to the Executive Club floor, but I could not access that floor on the elevator. Then I was told I would need to pay to access the floor. When I said I would not pay, the person checked and said I could use it for free. Then a staffer had to walk with me to the elevators, to allow me to get to the Executive Club floor. The entire process, just to get to the floor took at least 30 minutes.

Business week in Shanghai

Stayed a full week on business trip and this hotel and location was ideal. Extra plus for large pool and good gym. Breakfast was good but not the greatest. But overall excellent value. Nice park cross the street with lots of walking / running space and other activities.

This was my second extended stay here. Everything was perfect from the buffet selection and the courteous staff and amenities.

Lovely hotel, very enjoyable stay.

Great hotel, wonderful location. I was shocked at the amount they wanted to take for a deposit (5000RMB for 4 night stay!) and it will take up to 14 days to be returned to me. English is a little broken for most staff but they do try their very best. Taxi from Pudong Airport was 240RMB, taxi's from the hotel were easy and cheap.

Very good location. Right by Cheng Fen Park, great view from the room. Staff are super friendly and always try their best to help. Lots of nice restaurants and a bakery next building. Definately going back next time.

Nice hotel, not too central

Recently upgraded from Marriott to JW Marriott. Rooms are good, but the hotel location is a bit remote. Not very close to subway system and quite far from the central downtown area.

Shanghai Marriott ChengFeng Park - new area

This hotel is in a developing area across from a nice park for a comfortable walk. About 20 minutes cross the river is a commercial area for Americans seeking some good ol' American chain food after days/weeks of Chinese food. Food in the hotel is only so-so and fairly expensive. The rooms and service were excellent (though fairly expensive), however, and excellent outside restaurants were quickly recommended by the concierge. I stayed here primarily because the location suited my business needs well.

Very good value

Fairy new hotel on a fairly new street in the Putuo district. Enjoyed the view from my 28th floor room on the rear of the building. Quiet room. I plan to return to this hotel on my next business trip.

The rooms are spacious with beautiful Park view and we enjoyed stay there.

프론트부터 전반적으로 직원들이 엄청 친절, 상해 출장을 자주가지만 5성급도 불친절한 곳이 많지만 여긴 친절해도 너무 친절!!!

前台很热情 服务好 舒适

수영장 사우나 조식 룸컨디션 다 좋아요 2싱글룸이라는데 침대는 더블사이즈에요. 수영하고 자쿠지서 뽀글이하고 사우나하면 피로가 싹~~ 좋으네요 바로옆에 쇼핑몰이라 쇼핑도 식사도 편해요

房間有煙味，反映之後提供換房，但是還是始終有煙味，換到其他樓層的走廊也是有煙味。清潔人員的擦拭布也遺忘在房間內。這個房價以上的問題應該可以避免。

酒店的環境還有餐廳都很不錯，除了地理位置要搭地鐵交通比較不方便，但打車都OK，旁邊的大悅城來出差基本吃喝超市也很夠了，對面還有大公園可以散步

good hotel

とても豪華なホテルで、スタッフの方々も親切でした。残念だったのは、とても豪華なのにバスタブにお湯が出ず二泊したらシャワーも水だけになった事、英語がかなり通じない、という2点のみでした。それ以外はとても良いホテルだと思います。

場所は上海の観光エリアからは少し不便なところにあるので観光客には不向きかも。宿泊客の多くが欧米人もしくはハイエンドの中国人のビジネスパーソン風の人たちです。地下鉄などの公共交通機関もないため、移動は基本的にタクシーになりますが、一般のタクシーがホテルに入ってくることも少ないのでタクシー配車アプリが使えることが必須です。

Great and friendly staff, they are the real stars of this place. Hotel is a little worn down in the edges, and buffet okay, without being great. Would book again, as staff is really friendly and the place is clean and nice and close to park and shopping mall

快適に過ごせるホテルです。受付ロビーでの服務員の対応がよく、安心して宿泊できました。地下鉄の駅から遠いため、移動手段の確保が大変な点は申し添えます。

I had a really disappointed during I checked in this hotel . I reserve an executive king size bed room including access executive lounge , but front desk told me only one person access lounge and another person has to pay additional charge . So I had checked my booking confirmation by web site , I requested to them to using Marriott wifi , but they mentioned to deposit 5,000RMB for connection wifi . So I deposited money and reviewed my booking details . Finally ,they contacted their manager and allowed two person access to lounge . I received room key and open the room but this room is twin beds room and not executive floor . I visited lobby again and requested changed the room as I booked . Their attitudes was unpleasant to me , so I requested their name because I want complain to head office of Marriott group about this matter . I found a lady name who had written to me different than attached name tag on dress . She mentioned that her name tag was broken and used another person's name . I also requested to print out for my reservation situation on the monitor because of complain to the Hotels.com or Marriott but they already changed my reservation and could not print out it . They always said everything came from Marriott policy , they didn't think about their guest . But , the overall is OK .

整體感覺不錯, 旁邊長風公園帶點寧靜感, 但同時亦感到交通不便. Check-out時人比較多, 前台接待員的排隊指示不清晰, 感覺混亂.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt waehrend einer Geschaeftsreise. Sehr gutes Fruehstueck und super Lounge mit Live Musik, bei der man den Abens ausklingen lassen kann.

中国にしてはまともなホテル

新しいホテルなので中国のホテルにしては設備や状態がまともに保たれている。滞在するひとの大半が展示会に行く人達なので、やかましい現地人がいないのが最高。ルームサービスの中華、日本食レストランの食事が高いのに不味かったのが不満。

Bra överlag

Överlag en väldigt bra vistelse. Dock lite besviken på maten i loungen, om man jämför med exempelvis Marriott i Kuala Lumpur så når inte detta hotell riktigt fram. Personal och service dock väldigt trevliga, om än inte helt flytande i Engelska. /P

직원들이 모두 친절하고 길물어보니 지도에 표시도해주시면서 자세히 알려주셨습니다. 지하철역에서 가깝진않지만 호텔시설이 너무 좋고 청결해서 다시 가고싶은곳입니다.

1時間チェックインに待たされ、案内された部屋は、ミカンの皮が落ちていた。

Rapport qualité prix cette hôtel est à proscrire pour les business man. Être réveillé à 00:35 par le front desk pour venir faire un dépôt supplémentaire de 1000 rmb alors que jais déjà fait un dépôt de 3000 rmb et que j’avais payé d’avance mo séjour, c’est tout simplement inadmissible. Je suis un voyageur depuis 2010 et j’ai décidé cette année d’utiliser expédia au lieu de tout faire pare moi même. J’aurais du m’abstenir. Ma rèsa était pour 1 chambre avec 2 lits. Ils m’ont diner une chambre avec un grand lit. J’ai contesté mais mon mail de réservation de la part dexpedia était en français donc non recevavable pour eux. Il a fallu batailler pour une chambre avec 2 lits. Une multitude de détails ont finis de gâcher mon séjour. Je déconseille donc cet hôtel et hésite à uutiliser de nouveau les servies d’expedia. En résumé je suis très déçu :-(

朝食がいまいち

朝食のことをコメントします。 以前に宿泊したときと比べて、朝食のときの係員の応対がいまいちでした。 以前は係員の方から声を掛けてきて、席を案内され、コーヒーを持ってきてくれたのですが、 今回はこちらから係員に声を掛けないと席に案内してくれず、コーヒーも持ってきてくれません でした。 また、私は朝食は洋食派なのですが、卵料理とベーコンのバリエーションが少なくなりました。 サラダやフルーツの品目数も少なく、ヨーグルトは市販のものだったりと他の同クラスのホテルの 朝食と比べると見劣りします。 金額の割にはいまいちの朝食なので、このホテルに泊まるときは朝食は近くのケンタッキーでも よいかなと思いました。他のサービスは快適ですので朝食だけがただ残念です。
