Very friendly staff, great clean facilities and the breakfast buffet was vast in choices. Fantastic price right in the middle of Tokyo too.
Pretty big. Clean and convenient. Definitely will go back
Tokyo 2024
Best hotel!
The hotel is close to Shinjuku city and shopping district, it felt mostly safe
Good cheap stay. Room wasn’t the biggest and there was some noise from the shower in other rooms. Property is under renovation but we didn’t hear any noise from the works or experience any distruption. Staff were friendly, location was an easy walk to everything in Shinjuku
Although I only stayed here for one night, I really liked this hotel. The free breakfast was delicious and consisted of a lot of variety (much better than other hotel breakfasts I've had in Japan). The staff were helpful and friendly. I liked how it was tucked away in a smaller street, yet it was walkable to the main Shinjuku area for shopping and convenient transportation. Overall, I would 10/10 recommend.
I love this place as it is located in Shinjuku sanchome, where is convenient to go everywhere. secondly , the breakfast is so good that it has western and Japanese style . I always love to end the breakfast with Via Inn blend cappuccino. I definitely will come back and stay again.
I liked the room and the entrance (well-lit and wide). The hotel is easy to find.
Small place
Convenient location, close to Shinjuku station and all of the crazy shopping and dining going on there, but still just far enough that it's quiet.
I'd definitely use again.
Ist time in this hotel. Clean, good breakfast, very helpful staff, 10 mins walk from Shinjuku station. Single room small, double bed, very good air con, not much storage space but fine for a short stay
Nice stay!
Best hotel for under $100
Excellent service from the staff. Clean hotel located in a quiet area by Shinjuku. The hot water was not working initially but the staff were quick to relocate us to a new room. Will be booking again next time i stay in the area!
Hotel staff and breakfast were fantastic
It was amazing all around the first time, the second time we stayed, the staff was not as kind, they were not willing to let us check out late despite their flyer stating we could as long as we paid. So we were rushed out and while waiting for the uber we got kicked out of the lobby. Staff was not as pleasant as the first time, at all. Weird because our stays were less than 5 days apart. It’s a shame I left with not such a great vibe after all.
It’s been so the best place we’ve stayed at in Japan. Staff is very kind and helpful, the hotel is prestige, the breakfast is good, the rooms are comfortable, you have all that you need there (even laundry machines) and it’s in a great location! Super close to the Golden Gai. Loved our stay there
Very clean and comfortable. Great location with the shopping district just 10min walk away. Many restaurants near by. I like the complimentary body cloth so I continued to use it at the other hotels where their free amenities were slightly different and took it home. It was a lovely stay and I would stay again.
Accidentally booked a smoking room and the smell was horrible when we walked in. We asked to switch rooms and paid a bit more for it, but it was totally worth it for us. I was very pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was. Staff were very kind and professional. Breakfast buffet was amazing with both Japanese and Western options! So delicious. Would recommend staying here.
The staff are very accommodating and attentive.
Location - around 10-15 min to JR shinjuku station, all along flat road. Lots of restaurants nearby Room- The staff is nice. The room is clean, quiet and not big. It is just fit for one person. You have all the amenities inside. It is quite good value for money. Highly recommended.
Great staff but bed too hard
The hotel is in a great location. The staff are wonderful. However the bed is very hard. I would wake up sore because of it.
Excellent
We mostly needed a clean and safe place to sleep at the end of a long day shopping or sight seeing in tokyo. This hotel did the job! Small rooms, with slightly hard mattresses, but the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very kind. Ideal for a couple or single.
Small but perfect stay for a quick trip.
Great location, great staff
Great stay, great location. Staff were very welcoming. Regularly kept clean too. Will stay here again if I visit again
Comfortable and clean room
It is comfortable and clean. It has a good size for one person. The location is convenient and not too noisy.
Comfortable and convenient for Shinjuku
Great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Standard room, cleaning as required. Fresh towels daily. Perfectly comfortable for trips where won’t spend much time in room.
This was only a stopover on our first night in Japan. If you are looking for a spacious room with a lot of storage, reserve the room that will suit your needs.
The room was more spacious that a normal hotel room in Japan. It was clean and came with all the amenities we needed. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of both Western and Japanese food!
Everything was excellent except washing machines. They were a little bit dusty. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay around Shinjuku and only 10-15 mins walk to Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal.
I had an amazing stay! Staff was very helpful, location was great, lot of dinner options around, and a very quiet area.
Clean room. But a bit unfriendly staff
Very good stay
Very good hotel. Service was very good. Good amenities provided. Breakfast was a mix of Western and Japanese style. The room was as expected. No complaints.
Perfect location if you are looking to hop around Shinjuku/Shibuya. Very close to transit, konbibi and great
Staff where very helpful in giving directions and making sure I was ok checking over a few days how I was after an accident
First the bed in the rooms are horrible with spring mattress. Also breakfast was a big let down with close to no vegetarian and western options like break with baked beans and mushrooms. We stayed in JR West in Kyoto for 5 nights and Tokyo for 6 and I have to say Kyoto was a far better experience than Tokyo.
The hotel is situated in a great location. It's close to multiple stations and very close to the nightlife of Shinjuku. The room was spacious for my solo needs. The breakfast offered was delicious and had a great variety of different foods. The staff were great with check-in and explanation of facilities. The area was also very quiet.
The beds and pajamas were so incredibly comfortable. The hard wood floors and all the fixtures really made this place feel like a luxury escape from the cuty
Cleanliness,excellent service.
Good location
The service is not that great. If you’re only looking for place to stay and nothing more this would do. But if you’re looking for extra help, good luck.
Not much dining options around the area. Have to walk to Shinjuku area.
Good location and on quiet street. Staff are friendly.
No taxi service was available from the hotel to the train station the morning I left. I inquired to get a taxi the night before and they wouldn’t call for one until the morning. No taxi would pick up the call, I had to walk with my luggage in the rain. Staff said to walk to a corner and try and flag one down… none were seen the whole way back to the train station. Started a long travel day soaked!
The hotel is great with this price range. Easy to access and walkable distance to the station.
I like the free storage of luggage before checkin. That free coffee, tea, toothbrushes, face towels, slippers, in room ion airflow device were all available. Like the floor access/ room access. security cards and the easy checkout option. Free high speed wifi was good. Washrooms were clean and the Toto bidet for westerners were a refreshing experience. Only minor negative was we were there 1 hour before 3pm checkin, but they said the cost would be $40CAD, so we camped out in the lobby for 30-40 minutes. We checked in at 2:40. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is close to the night life scene, transit and food establishments.
It was a great hotel and it was great staff, it was very clean.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Great location.
Very nice staff. Very clean. Extremely convenient for shops and dining etc. Everything went well.
Perfect stay
I like the convenience to get to the main street. Breakfast could have more choices. Room is small & no closet. A little upset that a local call in the room cost me ¥430.
I like the convenience to go to the main area. I do not like the room, small and no closet. Feels claustrophobic. I had made a local call and charge me ¥430.
Nice area
Conveniently close to metro lines. Easy access to the rest of Shinjuku.
The amount of time at the hotel everything worked however rooms are very small for two people. Fine for overnight.
Value for money by Tokyo standards. Down a quiet lane and far enough from the bustling area of Shinjuku but also a short walk to where all the action is. Shinjuku station entrances metres away so it was very convenient getting to places on the subway. Staff were lovely and while the room was small, it had a good layout so it didn’t feel too cramped. Would definitely stay here again!
Great location and Japanese breakfast included was wonderful start to our day.
Stayed here for my first night in Tokyo. It is on a nice quiet street off a larger road, easy access to Shinjuku station, right next to 2 Chome, and the room was perfect for a solo traveler. It’s far enough away from the touts and craziness of Shinjuku nightlife, and the front desk was helpful and nice. Would definitely stay there again.
Very clean
They go above and beyond I would ever expect from any hotel. Absolutely amazing experience
The staff were very kind, the hotel was clean and close to the fun parts of shinjuku. Although I didn’t eat breakfast there it was free. They leave fresh towels everyday. The room was spacious enough I could store two of my suitcases.
so lovely with really kind staff and yummy breakfast :)
The room is small, but we knew that when booking. The location was incredible and the area was quiet. Very convenient to get around and explore Shinjuku by foot and for access to the train station.
I would highly recommend this hotel
Great location
Great location and staff were friendly and helpful.
Great stay at Via Inn Shinjuku. 15 mins from Kabukicho and plenty of dining and shopping. Near at least 2 train stations so very convenient. All staff members were welcoming, professional and extremely helpful and patient especially when we tried to arrange luggage transfer to our next hotel. Will stay here again for sure 😀
The room is enough for one person. Staff were very nice and accommodating. In the weekends, so many sirens passing by at night. It’s walking distance to Kabukicho if you like to party.
Good location, good value.
The hotel was conveniently located for the Shinjuku. It’s about 15 minutes walk from the station. Room was quite small but enough for what we needed. Shinjuku is busy and the hotel is just outside of the Kabukicho area so away from the crowds. Easy walking to the sights. Plenty of restaurants close by in all directions. Staff were very helpful at checking/out and helping to forward our luggage. Laundry on the floor was convenient but took a long time to dry and not quite fully dry
The location is great. It’s close to the Shinjuku station and shopping. The room size is very small and the bed is very uncomfortable. We requested two more paddings for the bed so we wouldn’t feel the spring in the mattress.
Great location, close to subway station, dining, and shopping. Breakfast is ok. Room size is very cramped. Perfect for single travelers for short stays.
Excellent breakfast buffet.
Lovely small hotel in Shinjuku
Very helpful and pleasant staff. Room small but adequate. No English TV channel ( not even BBC world. Included breakfast was limited, ok but no cereal or fruit (except lemon). Very handy to everything. Would stay here again.
Excellent place to stay in shinjuku. It looks less glamorous from outside but it is a very nice place. The staff are very attentive and amenities are excellent and all functional. Especially wonderful is the breakfast bar. Well worth the additional expense.. Will be happy to stay here again
Good location but the room too small
Nice hotel in Shinjuku
Quiet for the location. Staff very helpful and responsive. Room was a good size for our family. Good value.
Veey nice staff. A little delay checking out with so many others, but id certainly stay here again.
Very comfortable.
Easy check in. Clean rooms.
Conveniently located to train station
Excellent and convenient
The room is alot bigger than expected. Breakfast was awesome and free
Very adequate rooms (fairly small), but everything you need. Clean, quiet. Staff very accommodating. I got food poisoning on the plane so was sick and they organised a room earlier for me and charged a fee. Helped me with Dr. information and other info. Very helpful. My breakfast was included and it was great. Love the air conditioning and the humidifier. Love the quality of the bathroom, hot water and pressure was so good.
Exceptional customer service
It was a perfect little hotel to explore Tokyo. Short walk from Shinjuku station. Buffet breakfast with Japanese dish was great too.
Rooms are a bit small. But its Japan. Other than that we had a good comfortable stay. Daily housekeeping. Same breakfast every day. Location very good. Staff is courteous.
The breakfast was great, the staff was super friendly, and the room was comfortable.
Quite close to metro stations and 10-15 walk to kabukicho. Shops along the way too
Everything was great, no problem what-so-ever... however the rooms are small.....two international travelers (with 4 suitcases) will not even be able to leave two large suitcases open if you still plan on walking around the room.... Other than that, the facility was clean, people were nice, bathroom was great, bed was great, the amenities were plentiful!?
I like the breakfast
Very pleasant stay, good area for entertainment, shopping and numerous train options within 10 minutes walk. Do some homework around the area, it is worth the effort. Staff at hotel, are polite, friendly and try to accommodate everyone, most speak English to a degree. Even if they can’t they will look for a solution to help. When I go back to toyko I will definitely stay again if I’m in the area.
Great location, standard service.
Great location
Very friendly and helpful staff, great location on the edge of Shinjuku night life, so quiet but still an easy walk to everything. A bit of a walk from the Shinkansen platform, but after that everywhere else on public transport was close by. A stone's throw from Golden Gai, an entry to the subway right across the road and 5 minutes to Shinjuku Gyoen Park, which is fabulous. Don't miss Hanazona Shrine on the walk to/from Golden Gai. Breakfast was excellent with both Japanese and "English" options. Freshly toasted croissants were a thoughtful touch. A note for "western" travellers: beds and pillows in Japan and Asia generally are much firmer than you're probably used to, so be ready for that. It was also very helpful to be able to check the status of the coin operated washing machines via the TV info channel, instead of having to go and physically check. Theres a Lawson about 20m from the hotel and an excellent bar/restaurant called Jay Co in the basement next door. Would stay here again.
Location is great. Quiet and relax area but close to the noisy entertainment, walkable. I would stay again. Trains are close. Entertainment is close.
Clean place. Enjoyable.
Room is clean and quiet. It’s close to the metro station, about 10minutes walk to JR shinjuku station. Breakfast is good.
Good hotel to stay
Good
Great location and staff
Friendly staff and convenient location, good for the price for a short stay. However, the rooms are very small.
