The room was spacious and very clean
Very small room. Switched hotel after 2 days. No place to put one's clothes.
value for money
If you’re looking for a property within walking distance of the Nagoya Railway Station, this property will satisfy the location requirements. We have been traveling throughout Japan for the last 3 weeks and found this property to be efficient. There are many other foreign visitors who utilize this hotel so we found the breakfast buffet a challenge. The room was clean for Western standards, but not as spotless as most other Japanese hotels. Overall a satisfactory stay.
Very centrally located close to the railway station. It was completely satisfactory. The bed was excellent and the room was quiet
Close to train station and you can watch laundry status on TV, which was very handy.
Room was small but walking distance from a station
Clean hotel, very friendly staff, plenty of dining options nearby, convenient stores only 2 minutes walk, about 10 minutes walk to Nagoya Station.
The hotel was new and not bad. Just surrounding neighborhood did not look the best at night.
Nice hotel
Consider close to Nagoya JR station / Shinkansen Station but actually quite far from Meitetsu Line (especially if come directly from Central Japan International Airport), and difficult to navigate the direction toward the hotel in big Nagoya Train Station. Room quite small, but still able to open a 28” luggage (fully block the walkway though). The bed size is big, 140cm for single room. Lots of restaurants nearby Nagoya train station, could get all the famous Nagoya signature foods around the hotel. Located in a quiet street. Room is clean, modern, new. Consider the price I paid, it’s a value stay.
Everything was in good condition and the staff was very friendly. The location, 10 min walk from Nagoya Station, was also perfect. Fun bonus was the status display of the washing machines in use. You could check on the TV when the laundry was done and how much time was remaining.
Na
Overall a good experience for the price we paid. Was not expensive at all and we had a good stay albeit with a very small room. It was just a quick stopover in Nagoya to see the Ghibli park. We stayed 3 nights but probably should have just did 2.
The staff was very accommodating, giving me all the answers I needed to every question.
close to train station only few minutes walking
去名古屋車站三四分鐘步程
Booked a double room for single use and it has a functional layout. Lots of USB outlets in the room which is a big plus in today’s world. Room is clean and well maintained with almost no evident wear and tear. Nagoya Station is only a few minutes walk away, with lots of dining options round the area. I would recommend this hotel and will not hesitate to stay again.
Overall, it is satisfactory, except that soft pillows are only available upon request at the reception.
We appreciate the hotel being new but the area in and around the hotel is a little on the seedy side. A little questionable. But we have noticed this on all of the JR properties we've stayed at. So I guess we will try a different chain of hotel next time.
Simple straight forward
very convenient location and good service
Staff was friendly and efficient and room was clean, however I wish I had stayed on the other side of the station as I found the area too seedy. I would have felt unsafe anyplace else but in Japan.
Great location right next to Nagoya station, concurrent transportation and dining options. Friendly staff and clean rooms with good amenities
Reasonable hotel. The room is neat and clean, however very small.
Excelente location! Many restaurants to eat close by, a family mart and about 3 minutes walking distances from Nagoya Station. Mall area is also close. Hotel is very clean, room space was a standard, amenities very good, breakfast was excellent
The room and toilet is quite spacious compared to other business inns around the station. Toilet is split into dry sink toilet bowl area and inner shower area, which within has a sit-down shower area and bathtub. I love that you can see the live status of the laundry from the TV homescreen. Breakfast is semi-buffet style, choose either Jap or Western main set.
The only downside is that the street area is downscale, but safe and clean. Everything else was fine. About a ten minute walk to Nagoya Station, which is why I chose it. Good basic breakfast.
Property is near Nagoya station thus very accessible. Nagoya castle was only 15-20 mins from hotel. Lots of dining options and shopping malls nearby. We have been travelling around Japan for 3 weeks, and this is the only hotel where we did not have to ride a train or bus to go to where we want to be. Hotel size is slightly bigger than other hotels we’ve stayed at plus there was a seating area which was a bonus since we always stop by at convenience stores before heading back to the hotel…(I think all tourists in Japan are guilty of this. Ahaha)
Room was clean but too small. It was convenient: reachable and close to shopping centre and station. Staffs were helpful.
hotel is close to the jr station, convenient to shop around.
The hotel provided me a quiet space in one of the busiest cities in Japan, and it was very easy to get there from a busy station.
Nice hotel room for a good price. It’s located in an area with restaurants and bars nearby.
Great service and building
Very convenient location and clean .
Reasonably priced. The staff was very polite and the room was clean
Really enjoyed my stay here. Property and room was clean, security was great, and very walkable to station and other attractions making it overall a great stay! Would stay again, and I actually rebooked at the Kyoto in a few weeks due to this.
Close to train station. A little hot and muggy I’m hotel but room eventually cooled down.
Nice location n very friendly staff
私たちの希望にもとてもフレキシブルに対応くださりました。また名古屋に来ることがあればぜひ泊まりたいです
Around 8 mins to Nagoya station, very convenient Hotel cleanliness very good
Nice
Extremely near nagoya station
Very convenient to Nagoya Station, but easily confused with another JR West Group Via Inn. Very helpful staff.
Reasonably-priced property that’s very well-maintained and close to the JR station. Couldn’t ask for more.
The property was very clean, and the staff was very professional and polite. The hotel was also within easy walking distance from Nagoya station. But if you're traveling with someone, however, make sure you get a room with twin beds. The single mattress room was extremely cramped, and the bed itself was so small that there's no way two people can sleep on it comfortably. And the bed itself was very firm, so be prepared for that -- but that's par for the course for every hotel in Japan.
Too small rooms. Breakfast not to all!
The rooms were very well designed. More electrical outlets than the average Japanese hotel, and the mattress was excellent. You can control almost all the lights in the room from both the doorway and from the bed. Wifi was good. Very clean. Great location close to Nagoya station, shopping, and restaurants. Would definitely recommend.
Staff services are excellent
Conveniently located to Nagoya station
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and the proximity from the Nagoya train station, with lots of food options around, was great. My only negative feedback is that fact that I, along with about 5-6 other guests, waited at least 15 minutes trying to get from the 4th floor down to the lobby, as we were checking out. The elevators kept being full from the upper floors and we were told by staff that there was no option to walk down. We ended up taking the elevators up, in order to go down.
Nice place, served its purpose. But really small room, hard to even find space for two open suitcases.
Interior is very nice and clean. Lacation is very close to the train station. A lot of restaurants near the hotel which were a bit dirty but a lot of food options.
Nice area
Convenient and near the Nagoya train station.
Very clean and friendly staff. I wish more could understand English and I learned more phrases. Some didn't understand or want to understand pictures, gestures etc.
Very convenient for the station and a very pleasant stay. Very clean and attentive staff.
JR West Via Inn
Couple of blocks away from busy train station in a quiet area. Modern, clean. Loved the bathroom shower. It was like the kind you find at onsens. Breakfast gave choice of Japanese or western, plus a partial buffet. Well-worth the $12.
The best convenient hotel.
Stayed a week for a working trip. There was a proper work table and chair despite booking a twin room. Had to improvise using my luggage as a table during my stay. The saving grace was the Japanese-style bathroom with a shower area next to the bathtub. Lots of cheap and good local eateries near within walking distance.
Room seemed above average compared to others I used on my trip for the price point. Nothing exceptional that I can remember, was only there for one night.
Conveniently located, but the bed & pillows were too hard and it was impossible to make the bone dry air cool enough to sleep well.
Close to station. Nice hotel
Perfect Clean and Staff Friendly
I like how the staff are so nice and accommodating. And the room was very clean
Obon trip
I liked how it looked fresh, new, and had a good style. It was near the station and restaurants. The breakfast servers were very friendly even though there was not a lot of choice. The room had a great view and the windows could open (good for Covid times!). Be careful of the washer/dryer - it does not dry well.
A bathroom was quite good.
Close to train station. Nice room with bigger bed than other hotels we stayed at.
decent room with breakfast
Tiny room, clean enough and comes with a buffet breakfast. Around 8-10 mins away from the Nagoya station.
it was great. No frills but nice.
The room was clean and nice Breakfast was good but it was too crowded. Not too far from Nagoya station.
Everything was spot on! Front desk service was excellent (as per everywhere we stayed in Japan!) room was standard Japanese size but very clean and tidy. We had a wonderful stay - thank you so much!
not far from the railway station. but if you want to travel by Meitetsu bus, it quite far, approx 7-8 mins.
Nice and clean, and reasonable
I stayed this hotel for businesses trip. Close to Nagoya station, really comfortable, clean, nice free breakfast with reasonable price compare to other simular price hotel around this area.
The location is excellent, which is within walking distance to the shopping area and Jr station. However there is no parking space provided. Then closet parking space costs about ¥1800 per day and the space is very limited. Also the parking spaces are not provided exclusively for the hotel. If there is no space at the closest parking space, the next one is about 10-15 minutes walk which is quite far.
Great location
Location is convenient and hotel room is clean. Worth staying!
Very new building, so it was clean. About 300m from the Taiko-dori side of JR Nagoya. I dropped off my luggage as I was too early to check in. The staff accepted it after checking my passport and my reservation. Comfortable bed, comfortable pillows. Air-conditioning was available even though it was 24 Dec (the other hotels had switched to heater already). Complimentary Japanese breakfast with English instructions regarding Nagoya specialities such as Unagi and Chasuke. Several eateries nearby for lunch and dinner.
Excellent Notel Near Nagoya Station
Excellent hotel, very close to Nagoya station (Shinkansen exit). The staff is super friendly and helpful, as almost always in Japan. The room was average size for a hotel in the central area of a big city in Japan, but very modern and comfortable, and of course very clean. I was very pleased with the ofurō (Japanese style bath), which was sized almost like a bath one would find in a Japanese house. I will certainly use it again at my next visit to Nagoya.
Hotel near to Nagoya Station
The stay was great and the hotel was about 10min walk from the Kintetsu Line. Breakfast was good as well. We like the stay and we indeed going to stay more days in this hotel when visiting Nagoya and nearby cities.
One night stay 2adults and 2kids
Very good location, its near nagoya station. The breakfast is good, checking in is fast. The room is not that big.
The free breakfast provided by hotel was good and the staff were friendly. The location of hotel was a short walk to Nagoya station.
Location is a winner!
The security setup. No keys needed. Check out was easy.
Good location Good breakfast But some spot in room are dusty. And they are not provide shower caps :(
Good size room. Nice simple breakfast. Very good location. Lots of eating choices around.
Nice location; easy access to all amenities. Good size room. Nice breakfast.
Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Room very comfortable, clean and spacious for Japan’s standards.
great location and room condition
Clean and good rooms. Free breakfast has a good selection taking into account the price range. In short, great stay and will stay again.
Close to Nagoya station around 5 mins walk New properties and room size is standard
Excellent location near Nagoya Station.I like the drawer full of FOC tea bag, coffee at lobby.
Nice experience
Location is good, very close to the station. The room is comfortable and clean. Also the simple breakfast is delicious. Enjoy staying there very much, will stay there again next time!
Review of my stay at Via Inn Nagoya Station
Convenient location, the room has everything one would need, it is clean and comfortable, the bed is comfortable, and I also like the taking care of small details such as the location of the usb charger and plugs are installed by the bed and that is really convenient.
Hotel and location good. Room was as tiny but comfortable. It said breakfast was a mix of Japanese and western breakfast but the only western option was croissant so marked down for that. Staff very good
Great location
Just a 2 night stop over for us. Great location about 5 mins walk from the Nagoya station. Limited selection for buffet breakfast but we gotta try the Nagoya famous thick noodle. Tasted good. Used their wifi n coin laundry, no issues. Service was great too.
Employees there are very polite, very clesn place and the free breakfast is also very good
Clean, comfy bed and good location. Breakfast was a bit limited for choice and so of the staff stuggled with English which was disconcerting during a typhoon.
Nice Hotel
The overall equipment is very new, the room facilities are cleverly designed and soundproofed. The breakfast is delicious but nothing changes. The breakfast is almost the same every day for four days. I hope that the fish and eggs can be different every day and the fruit can be more than two. The noodles are all miso noodles, and it is better to have cold noodles, seafood noodles, ....
Many restaurants nearby. Clean and new hotel.
Nice hotel.
Room was clean but rest was terrible
Worst service of any of the 15 hotels i have stayed in Japan. Have to go down to lobby to get extra pillows, check out is at 10am, breakfast is horrible, not enough seats for the guests witt a 20 minute seat limit or standing roo
Good location with walking distance to train station. A lot of local restaurant for local food. Room were clean and comfortable. Highly recommended
Close to JR station with reasonable price
