The inn was clean, quiet, and safe. It was accessible to necessary places like convenience stores, groceries, transportation, pharmacy, and tourist spots and souvenirs.
We booked similar rooms throughout our trip but were surprised by how small this one was. We upgraded to a bigger room but then were put in a smoking room (even though we had initially requested non-smoking). Was not as clean as we’ve come to expect from Japanese hotels. We stayed at the Via Inn in Shinjuku earlier in our trip and the facilities were exceptionally clean, so it was disappointing to see the state of areas like the elevator at this Via Inn. The area was convenient in terms of transit but by Japanese standards it didn’t feel quite as clean or safe.
Great service and location for Akihabara area. The biggest fall down was how terribly uncomfortable the bed and pillows were. The pillows were exceptionally hard the mattress was old and the wires dug into us.
Perfect positioning. I will say the overall room leaves a bit too be desired. I higjly suggest you bring your own pillows as the ones here are incredibly flat
Really enjoyed our stay at via inn Akihabara! The staff were super lovely and friendly, location was perfect and the hotel had laundry facilities which was very useful. Trains were close by and the main street of akihabara was only a short walk. The only down side was the rooms seemed a bit outdated compared to photos shown and the beds were very firm. This wasn't a huge issue for us though as the location and friendly staff made up for it.
The stay was overall good, Some minor things like small bugs in the bathroom that kept appearing. Room was quite small for a couple, we had a friend stay in the room next to us that had a more spacious room despite only being for one person
Is ok but communication a little hard
Great location 5 minute walk to akihabara train station. Great and helpful staff that understands and communicates in english. Breakfast buffet was affordable and had lots of choices. Hotel had laundry on-site, microwave and the room had a mini fridge and hot water heater
Clean
Right next to akhiabara. Check in and out were super smooth and also received my luggage and made that process smooth as well.
Great balance of convenience and quiet. Close enough to walk to most of the shopping areas, but far enough to be quiet and relaxed.
Great place to stay
The hotel wasn’t far from Haneda airport and only a few minutes by train. The train station was less than 10 minutes walk away and you just had to cross a bridge to get the Akihabara Electric town. The hotel was in a quiet area and although there were train lines running behind the hotel it wasn’t too noisy as the windows were really good. The room was clean and you had the option to request house keeping or not to be disturbed. The staff were really nice and helpful especially when trying to get a taxi booked for the airport when returning home. Would definitely stay in the hotel again.
Sizes of the room and washroom are okay as in Tokyo. Close to the metro station Just a bit old
great! staff excellent
Everything was perfect! The staff goes above and beyond with everything and cares a ton about your comfort!
Staff were friendly
The staff is AMAZING. Just extremely nice. Everything is perfect here. I highly recommend this hotel!!!
Great location
I booked a twin room. The washroom is really spacious but the room is a bit small. Can only open up one luggage when the door is closed.
Location is great - in a quieter neighborhood but steps away from the heart of Akihabara. The room was small and not as clean as it could be. Overall I'd say good bang for the buck.
Great location, super convenient can walk to several train lines. Super close to the Akihabara electric train. Staff was great, room was cleaned everyday. Breakfast was good. The room could’ve been slightly bigger as it was too small for 3 of us .
10/10 I would give to this hotel. I stayed with my friend for 9 days. I selected non-smoking twin room. The room is more spacious than I thought for business hotel in Japan. There used to be some review said about noise of train in the night but I heard none of them. The bathtub is also bigger than I thought. The location is really great. It is near JR station and some Tokyo Metro station which is great when you come back to the hotel in the evening. Hope to stay here again in the future.
Room is moden design and fair size. A/C and Heating is separate control per room so you can adjust comfortable. Only complain is bed too close to window and it's leaking wind so you will feel cool when sleeping. Coins dryer is terrible. You spend 1hr can't dry 5 clothes! Lobby no sofa for customer that is inconvenience. But overall is good value hotel.
The room was very noisy. Both from nearby train tracks and from other people walking around the open interior. The room had lots of dust in slightly hard to reach areas pointing to only basic and quick cleaning. The room was moderately comfortable but quite small even for Japan standards.
Convenient and affordable. Our go-to hotel when visiting Japan!
SUPER CLEAN, GREAT LOCATION , NEXT TO A LOT OF ATTRACTIONS.
The staffs are very nice and polite.
Great hotel only a few streets away from Akihabara and Kanda station. Clean and spacious, check-in and check-out were incredibly and easy.
Great and reasonable price
Very convenient and clean!
The room was unimaginable small with a step to tiny bathroom.. we were out for a day and went to somewhere else for the rest of six days. Not recommend.
Nice staff and convenient area.
The staffs are friendly. I would also like to send my appreciation to a reception staff who run around the hotel with me to locate the Uber which stopped at the back entrance of the hotel while I was having my big luggages heading to airport. The hotel is convenient as it is just 5 min walk to the subway station. However, it is a bit noisy as it is just next to the railway which operates from 5:xx am to 1:00am @.@
I was given a smoking room when I booked non-smoking room and the room smells so disgusting! I also declared the ages of my two children when I booked and yet when I checked in, they charged me more because one of my kid (age 16) they are charging is adult.
Good location but that’s it.
Great location if your main focus is Akihabara. Easy access to local train and subway for other areas. The room was functional but you wouldn’t want to spend too much time in there due to the size. The air conditioner really needed a clean but otherwise the room was clean and serviced whenever requested.
Two elevators aren’t enough… every morning is a pain. Washer and dryer not fully functional
The staff were fantastic and very helpful. The rooms are a great size and very clean.
Good: - Cleaning service / towel replacement everyday (can opt-out) - Has bathtub. - Freebies such as drip coffee and toothbrush. - Walking distance to Akihabara shopping street and stations. Minus some points: - No free water cooler, had to buy from combini, I mean in JP you can drink from tap water but a free water cooler wouldn't hurt for a hotel. - Some front staff has difficulties communicating in English, so some difficulty if you are foreigners.
The staff at Via INN were very friendly and helpful. There was no issue with communication as all staff I interacted with spoke and understood English. They gladly went out of their way to aid with weighing my luggage. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
Only a few minutes walk from Akihabara station and Kanda station, with a few food options close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always greeting you when entering or leaving the hotel. The room was clean and had a spacious bath/shower area. They only issues were the that the beds and pillows were very hard and uncomfortable, and you could hear the trans passing at night.
Everything was wonderful. They do room cleaning everyday after 9am-12pm. There were free toiletries which I'm amazed because I forgot my toothbrush on the trip. Would love to come again if there's a chance!
Good price!
It is very near the JR station and shopping and dining districts
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and quiet. There was a humidifier in the room, which helped maintain the comfortable living space and experience. I stayed in a twim room with a Japanese-style unit bath. I loved it it. I felt like being at home. The location of the hotel was excellent. It only took a few minutes walk from JR Akihabara station, and there were many convenience stores and restaurants to explore. I highly recommend this hotel if you don't mind a small sized room.
Best hotel we stayed in so far, very safe and quiet, staff were very helpful and the area is superb and walkable to akihabara, will definately come back here!
Great place to stay in Akihabara and conveniently located. Enjoyed my stay here.
great location
It’s a close walk to the station and the staff are friendly as always. It’s close to multiple restaurants and has a great breakfast.
I didn’t like that the elevator floor was not clean and the toilets had a septic smell. Apart from that the hotel was amazing I would give it 4/5 and would visit again if I’m back in Japan.
Overall was a nice hotel friendly staff
Superb hotel, very close to the Akihabra station; 3 minute walk. A few great restaurants around. The staff are so nice and helpful with your requests. Very safe and quiet neighborhood. I would definitely stay again.
Everything you need for a quick easy cheap stay
My room faces the railway. A bit noisy during day time. Particularly I like the bathroom very much in term of size
Good option if you want to stay close to Akihabara and its station.
Great location, nice ans clean rooms!
Fantastic location, helpful staff, clean room, and adorable mascot.
Morning Breakfast was Amazing and the Staff were very friendly, and helpful. My family really enjoyed our stay. There was quiet a bit of dust under our beds.
I stayed here for 1 night Location: 4/5 The hotel was a 10min walk from Akihabara Station. Rooms: 4/5 The room was a typical business hotel style i.e. rather small with amenities on the Ground Floor. Amenities provided were decent. The air-con in the room had a weird smell coming out of it when set to the cooler mode. I had to switch it to the warm mode to not smell the smell Staff: 4/5 The staff were typical of the Japanese customer service you’ll expect. There was a staff who was clearly a foreigner who could speak good English. Good for travellers who prefer English-speaking staff. Value for Money: 3/5
Cheers from Hawaii.
Breakfast was excellent for the Y1,200 , Staff are very Friendly and very helpful , the best is 5 minutes walk from Akihabara station , Room was kept clean . No problem with security . Will stay again . Thanks again .
Great place to stay in Akihabara. 5 minute walk to the train station and there's a Lawson at the corner. Beds are comfy and we got a great view from our room, we could see Skytree. Definitely would stay again
Very nice and organized
Friendly staff, good area and very close to the Yamanote Line makes this my go to hotel when I stay in Tokyo
The room was "regular Japan small" buy you should get bigger if you pay for it. It is very near to Chuo Dori and the Akihabara scene. Staff didn't speak great English but enough and were extremely helpful. Amenities are set out by the lifts so you take what you need. There are microwaves, ice and vending machines on 3F and 4F. Hotel has a "Left Luggage" area that you can use after you check out.
The staff were really helpful & service was great
Very friendly, clean and convenient. Good value for money in a great location. Tucked away, far enough for quietness but close enough to reach anywhere quickly.
Lovely staff, close to train station, firm bed, free breakfast, free wifi.
It was really clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. It wasn’t a bad walk from the station
Good for shopping in Akihabara and stay long
The location is close to Akihabara shops and bring back purchased items to hotel whenever your hands are full. There are self-serve laundry machines which is good if you plan to stay long.
Super fast check in and automated checkout. Free breakfast was great! Very close to Akihaba Station, restaurants, and shopping.
Breakfast included is a plus. Room and bathroom is small but that is to be expected staying in the middle of Tokyo. Does have coin laundry which can be used if staying for long.
The location is absolutely amazing, just right beside Akihabara station
Spectacular views on the 21st floor. Staff does not speak English very well. Hard to find the hotel.
Excellent hotel, great breakfast buffet. Good location in Akihabara, near train and metro stations.
Twin bed with big toilet
The hotel is near Akihabara main street for animation stuff. A family Mart convenient store by 1 minute walk. The lobby staff are friendly and greeted you whenever you return to hotel in the evening. I booked Twin room with twin bed, the room is comfortable for sleeping, and it has a big toilet with bathtub, but I rather prefer to give those space to the room to have more moving spaces. One issue is the aircon which takes slow to cool the room, but overall, it is very good, will definitely consider to stay in this hotel in my future trips.
Hotel is clean but small , staff are very friendly and helpful , buffet breakfast is not bad , sudway is only about 5 minutes walking distance from The hotel and there are lot of restaurants around the area . The only downside is the air conditioning is a little bit of noisy at night .
It looked extremely high-end for a three-star hotel. It had free washing machines. The rooms are pretty normal-sized for a Japanese hotel, meaning even though it's small, there's enough space to keep your luggage open and walk around. There was always someone on staff who spoke English, and they made sure to deliver our mail/package to us. Centrally located, within 5 minutes of Akihabara Station. Great hotel.
Everything's is fine with this hotel although the room is snall. But overall still value for $$$ for the stays
Close to almost everything. Especially to train station. It’s backstreet location can be an advantage because it’s quieter. Front desk staff are so welcoming and willing to help. Although the room is so small as compared to hotels in the US, I’m happy that it’s well maintained. I will definitely stay in this hotel again if given the chance in the future.
Convenient location and great layout. Staff were always pleasant and helpful.
Great hotel
It is very well located being just down the road from the electric town part of Akihabara. The staff were very friendly, but didnt speak much English. This was understandable though and they did the best to help where possible. The room was nice but the bed was a little too hard for me. Great bathroom with view of the city. I would stay again.
Close to the Akihabara station, but off the main crowd so area is nice and quiet at most times. Clean as always, breakfast was simple but yummy and they try to have minute differences every day.
The room is too small !
Great location and not in the busy street. Close to shopping mall and restaurant.
Great! Would stay again! Clean, convenient location and really good breakfast!
A very nice hotel in a great location. Literally 2 blocks away from the JR Akihabara station. The room was very clean, and while small, more than sufficient with a great view and a full sized bathtub. Breakfast buffet is also included daily from 0630-0900 hours daily.
Great example of a Hotel.
Wonderful hotel in a perfect location. Few minutes walk to the Akihabara station on the circle Yamanote line which is perfect. Easy travel to other main stations and areas like Tokyo Station, Ginza, Shinjuku, Ueno, Ikebuero and Shibuya. Single room I was in was perfect for what I needed. A bed, desk, TV, shower and toilet. Nothing fancy but thata not needed in a hotel where you're out all day exploring. Breakfast was alright. Nice selection of different foods just a tad busy at times. Around 9 to 10am there can be a bit of a wait for the 2 elevators as it's around checkout time, but nothing to worry about if you get out early in the morning like I did and miss the rush. Will definitely stay again when I visit next time!
The room was very well thought out on accomodations.
Good location,new building,delicious breakfast.friendly staff.
The only stairwell is for emergency only. Room is a bit small for luggage, but it's clean.
the location and breakfast were excellent! I may book this hotel for next trip to Tokyo.
The place is okay and is near Akihabara.
The location is great and the room is clean. The desk is kinda small and low, it was quite difficult to work on it. The room does not have direct USB plug, need to bring your own charger.
Room were very clean and comfortable, staff very polite, but the area where’s this building is very dark, need 10-15 minutes walk to the place can eat and shop
convenient location
Great hotel if you would want to stay in Akihabara, convenient location.
Great price in a great location.
Always great, friendly and welcoming staff, great location, clean room
Great location for the price with free breakfast
I stayed 2 night here, 1 night on a single double bed which can be quite small for 2 person. 2nd night on 2 twin bed. Double bed room is pretty standard small type for japan. Twin bed room is much bigger. Location is great, just less than 5min walk from akibahara station. Can either cross the bridge beside the train track that has a slope for easier moving of luggaage by central exit or walk beside the main road from the "west" exit to akibahara electric town to bypass the pedestrian bridge. So if u planning to stay here, you dont have to worry about carrying your luggage and walk any stairs if you take the right exit/way.
Stayed there solo and the room was clean and very spacious for one. Interesting layout with a window view in the bathroom. Was provided new towels daily outside my door when asked for no cleaning service. Property was about a 6/7min walk from the station, wouldn’t say it’s very convenient but alright. Had to cross a bridge with steps while pulling my luggage, was abit of a hassle, but found a slightly further flat route to get to the station, so take note if you have alot of things to carry. No convenience store below the hotel/directly opposite it either. But there is one nearby at the building behind. Road gets abit dark during night time so ladies traveling alone can be more vigilant. Overall still felt quite safe.
