The location is convenient. The staff at front desk is very professional and friendly.
my room was nonsmoking room but the smoke came through air he ventilator and it smelled so bad so I had to keep the bathroom door closed. other than that the service and room service food were all good.
The 📺is needed to be changed.
Had a wonderful time staying here. The only thing that I didnt like was how the hallways reaked of cigarette smell.
pro: - location, near the metro and food restaurants (avoid the silk shopping center... is full of scams and expensive) - gym - quiet cons: - internet is unreliable sometimes too slow. - expensive
Reasonable Price Hote with decent quality Beijing
Been staying at this hotel on and off for over twenty years. Ideal location for subway. Breakfast buffet is okay but could be better. Manager needs to shake the staff up a little with replenishment of coffee cups an issue, and also clearing away tables still be used and yet leaving tables where it was obvious guests had left the dining room.
Don’t have atm machine available always enjoy stay.
A bit old but in quite good condition. Good service and best location at the price. Very westernize and good English communication
Excellent services and courtesies from the front desk staff. Room is clean and with all amenities. Great location and convenient transportation. Good choices at breakfast. Wish they have a swimming pool.
old hotel in good location
Good location but hotel is very outdated especially the bathroom. Staff is nice.
Everything was fine comfortable and clean. However, both mornings there was no hot water to shave with in the sink. I tried to let the water run thinking it might take some time but the sink did not drain very well. Room 344. I was going to mention this upon checkout but it was very busy and the receptionist did not ask how my stay was.
As usual
Too bad the surrounding went down over the last few years, always enjoy staying there.
It is always a delight to stay at Jianguo Hotel in Beijing. We have been staying there since 2008, and will continue to stay there. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Thank you Jianguo Hotel.
We loved the pool - It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we cannot wait to go back to this wonderful property. I made the arrangements and feel in love with the pool and my husband hadn't seen the pool until we got there. My husband went down to the pool before me and can back to the hotel room and wanted me to hurry because he was so excited about spending time together in the pool. We actually got up at 4:00 a.m. to have tea and get ready to go to the pool. It is like a rainforest and the most amazing pool we have ever seen and we have travelled the world and have never seen anything like it.
When I travel to Beijing, I stay at the Jianguo Hotel. I have stayed here for 11 years. This is the first time that I have had to go through security to get in the hotel and check in. Honestly, after getting up at 3:30 am and basically traveling for 27 hours by the time I reach the hotel, the last thing I want to do is have to go through security again. I am not happy at all with this and will probably stay at another hotel in Beijing when traveling. There are lots of them.
Poor restaurant staff service
Staff service in breakfast buffet was poor with no clearing of used plates from tables until asked to do. Buffet counter was relatively massive without regular cleaning of food left on counter table after guests’ self serving.
I like the building and the breakfast it was good, different kind of food
Good value hotel
Mid week price here is very good. They have a very good gym and a decent breakfast. It is dated but very good value. It is well located for transport and restaurants, which in Beijing tend to be on certain streets only or in shopping centres.
The floors could have been cleaned better but other than that, very nice hotel
The pool was closed. Check in was complicated due to lack of the English language at the check in/ check out counter.
Best part about this hotel is the location. This is why we chose it. Close to the Subway (like steps away) as well as great food and the Silk Market. I would not classify it as a 4-star hotel. Horrible smell and it is outdated. The staff was the best we had in China. Elva Zhao went above and beyond to assist us with a room change as we needed to be close together and had as issue with the rooms. She was outstanding.
Good but silly printing charges
The BAD experience is: RMB 9 per page to print in the business center. I travel around the world every year. YOU MOST LIKELY HAVE THE WORLD RECORD AND CHINA RECORD re this price. Rediculous. As s matter of principle I will not stay at Jianguo again until that price is about the full cost for the hotel; probably 1-2 RMB per page.
I booked 4 nights but had to leave after the first night’s stay. This hotel’s facility is very old with a smell of dampness. Lobby is crowded and busy. No staff willing to help me with luggages. I once in doubt that I was in a youth hostel rather than a four star hotel. But the bill I paid confirmed it wasn’t!
The best value you can get in Beijing. Great location.
Decent business location if they clean up issues
The rooms were too hot. There was no ability to adjust room temperature except for opening a window to the street noise. The hotel and the area was decent, but at a certain time in the evening there were several people peddling prostitution outside the entrance. Unacceptable.
great hotel to leave for business travel. it is quite and clean. the service is great.
Only okay.
Hotel lobby was nice. The doors for the room were really thin and we could hear everyone in the hall all night. Was loud all night.
very convenient at a very affordable price. Executive lounge offers free drinks.
Nice location, great reception and operation services. I really appreciate their services they offered.
Good place to stay at for decent price. No need for more. American style experience at chinese prices
Good Value
Only few steps from the subway. Good value.
A little too old and can't even find wifi information.bsthroom has no fan, heater is loud.
very nice, friendly convenient hotel. ......nice location, Restaurant is good, not excellent. could be better.
Very nice stay
Loner.
All is good. Love this old hotel in Beijing. Old but clean and charming. Staffs are great. Love my stay there definitely will use it again.
rundown hotel
Room very outdated. toilet was broken and could not be fixed!
Great location great staff
Staff was welcoming and warm , great location , just conditions a bit worn out .
the staffs are very supportive and nice. The cleaning staff is great. Hotel is very close to subway station , and easy to get around. It is convenient to airport, too.
Convenient location & friendly hotel staffs. Will return to this hotel again.
Overall is not that good hotel.
Clean and Cozy. Staff are very nice and helpful. The location is good too, close to subway station.
😌
All was perfect
The hotel is very old and all the facilities are dated. And the breakfast is not good. I cannot find anything good about the hotel. Bad experience not recommended.
Hotel rooms were dated and need upgrade. Location is great.
This property locates near a subway station; therefore, it is easy for travelers to go to attractions.
Great location...close to restaurants,shopping & the subway
Great location
Rather tired hotel needs some up grading
Accessible right in the heart of the CBD. All staff was quite helpful. Just remember to inform house keeping when you want your sheets changed.
Fair experience for stayed especially the Restaurant, poor services, lousy foods .
Good location, good value, decent breakfast. Staff not always proficient in english
I book a business room and it was not up to expectation. Room was small and the internet was slow.
The hotel is in a good location and the actual building and the rooms are fine but the standard of service was consistently poor. For example, the staff were 'busy' so couldn't bring my luggage to my room for 2 hours; they told me my room was in a different building; the cleaning staff shout to each other up and down the corridors when they are working; very few members of staff speak much English at all, which is poor for an international hotel. I could speak to them in Chinese but many other guests couldn't. The food is quite basic and the restaurant is very slow. The staff have to be asked to help with luggage, even for guests who are clearly struggling. Asking for any help with anything seemed to be asking for too much. The staff speak in Chinese about the guests without knowing who can understand what they are saying.
Highly recommended
Always enjoy staying here. I would love to stay here again
Thanks Jiangou and Beijing for the magic
It was definitely great for me, as I wanted to unwind, and be near enough to the very famous Silk Street Market. It was really value for money. The hotel reception staff were awesome and everyone went out of his/her way to assist us and make us feel comfortable. The language ended up not a big problem at all. The humility and friendliness with which Chinese employees serve customers, is commandable and second to none.
Just an OK visit.
The hotel itself is in a great location; however, there are very little English speaking staff on duty which makes it difficult to get your point across when it is supposed to be an International Hotel.. The Internet lacks strength to the point it was hard to get our e-mails in our room... Charlie's bar was adequate though again very difficult to communicate with the staff in English..
Very good location, and easy to find please to eat. Subway is very close.
good location, nice service
Had a free drink before check in when waiting for room clean up. nice service.
I like this hotel
I've stayed at this hotel several times and I will go back again.
Interesting concept but very near to train station and the malls
I stayed at the hotel for 5 days and one day when I came back I saw a note left by the cleaning staff that really warms my heart. The staff reminded me the weather is getting cooler so to bring a jacket along when going out and also left a few extra bottles of water for me. This is exactly the kind of thing that makes you want to stay here again on your next trip.
Wei
Stay Jianguo Hotel many times and will stay here again.
Good location. Clean and Value for money.
Good location. Clean. Good size of the room. Hotel next to the Subway/MTR/MRT station. friendly and efficient hotel staff.
Staff rude and unprofessional and need training to smile. Way of speaking is very unpleasant. Some new staff is good but some old staff clearly needs to repclaced.
Loved this hotel! Clean, conveniently located, nice breakfast!
The good point is it's location. The hotel is located very close to two Subway Stations. One is less than 10minutes walk, the other is around 15mins. There is a Mall near the hotel but that requires a15 to 20 minutes walk. On the negative point, the room is dull looking and dark. Also it can get very noisy in the morning. During my 1st stay for 3 nights, the racket coming from the corridor is unberable.
Conveniently located hotel
Very convenient access to subway station, to Xiushui shopping and the China World cluster of malls. Subway station can take you to key sites like Tiananmen, Forbidden City and Wangfujing within minutes. Rooms are very basic but functional and clean. Many restaurants nearby. Good value for money.
Comfortable and good location
clean comfortable room, friendly staff, great location, nice breakfast
great location!
Not recommended
None of the staff seem to speak English any more (so very difficult for anyone who is not Chinese to get help), and I got very severe food poisoning, probably from their bar peanuts.
长久的选择
很好,每次都在这里
Best days are behind it, hookers in front of it
This once good business hotel has become quite dated. Between the warn musty carpets and the prostitutes that swarm you outside, I cannot recommend this hotel. Also, the staff are nice but they are unable to hire real taxis to take guests anywhere so you have to pay the extra fee for a chartered car (almost double a normal taxi).
Good location and value
Located in the CBD area and a 2 min walk to the train station that connects everywhere. The hotel is 3 stations away from the famius Wangfujing Street and 4 stations away to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. It’s also close to the China World Mall, about 10 mins walking. Value for money is good but the hotel can use some more English speaking staff. Concierge was ok but front desk at reception hardly spoke any English. If you need taxi you have to specify to the Concierge to get a YELLOW taxi. Otherwise, they’ll get you one of the more expensive private car ones.
Like garden on the lobby! Nice hotel next time we will live this hotel again!
The location is nice
The Hotel does not provide good service. Sometimes I can not find any hotel staff at the front door.
Welcoming hotel in central location.
hotel is at good location for shopping, taking transportation. Breakfast is good with kinds of chooses that is better than buffet dinner. Young staff at reception might need more training to take care of customers who are waiting in line instead of helpping customer who cut into line... Room is very dated. Air conditioner is old style... I have a room is facing garden, but garden is not clear, full of dust....
Great, clean hotel. Very pleasant, clean amenities.
Close to subway station, facilities etc aged, needs updating
Not newest or fanciest, but certainly top shelf
Among the many glitzy Beijing hotels, this is not the newest, neither the fanciest, but certainly top shelf. It is at an enviable location, next to diplomatic quarters, and subway station is literally at the door step. Being one of the first joint venture hotels with international chains, it has established itself with experience and very well trained staff. It may lack some modern facilities but certainly makes up with convenience and staff. "Punching above its own weight" is the best way to describe it. Rooms facing the street is not bad with traffic noise, but rooms facing the inner courtyard get you the charm and grace of a small but elegant and quiet Chinese garden.
Not a nice hotel to stay in Beijing
The hotel is quite old. In my room their was mold and the tile look dirty. Old carpets that you don’t want to place your bare feet on top of it. Not to many staff members speak english. Initially they said that in my rate ($200) breakfast was included. After I had breakfast they charge me $20 per guest and is really poor. I felt ripped twice.1 Surely their most be many good options in Beijing. Not this one
Comfortable Room and Covenient Location
The building looks old from outside, but the inner decorations are pretty new. The room is very comfortable and the hotel offered a plate of fruits in the room, which was quite considerate. Each room has a balcony, which is not common in such a crowded city. The price is also cheap compared with all the services they provide. It is also close to many popular places in Beijing like Guomao, Xiushuijie and TianAnMen Square, the Fornidden City. Would definitely choose to live here again.
Good International Hotel. Many speak English and Very helpful. It is in a good location.
Quite old, but VIP floor experience is good
The VIP/Executive floor has a convenient lounge and decent happy hour snacks/meal. Inner courtyard is pretty, with a pool and birds. Morning breakfast buffet is pretty decent for about US$20.
Comfortable, clean. Easy access to subway.
Jianguo Hotel Beijing
The only thing I would highly recommend for the hotel is they need to upgrade the internet connection. I've stayed there many times, unfortunately the internet connection is lousy. Very often I could not even get on.
The room is too small and all staff should at least learn some English in order to be helpful.
A quaint throwback hotel with class that is access
The hotel maintains charm and grace. its small but with all of the amenities of a big Western hotel, but with definite Chinese characteristics. I have stayed here many times, and I have never been disappointed. Its close to the Metro system and near all of the major downtown Beijing tourist sites. The staff is efficient.
A run down place with lousy service
This is a hotel opened in 1982, very old compare with other hotels in the same area. Their management system is also very old. It cannot find room automatically when the guest check-in. The front desk staffs need manually find a room for guest. This makes the check-in process very slow. The room service is so lousy. We stayed there 5 nights. I used the shower cup on the fist night and I hang it up on the washroom door. The maid threw it away and never provide a new one. For twice, the sink was not cleaned. I run out of toilet paper once, and another day when I was in shower and found out that there was no new shampoo and conditioner provided. In brief, there was issue with the cleaning lady everyday. The room we stay was facing the main street of Beijing, it is very noise day and night. In addition, one night we heard the noise of upstairs shower and another night the guest in next room was drunk, yelling and threw up. So the room is not sound proof from any direction. Every time we ask the front desk to call a taxi, they call the expensive one (the price is double than regular one) and the waiting time is 15 minutes or longer. I think they get kick backs from this expensive taxi company. Once my husband specifically ask they to call the regular taxi, they said there nothing available. Recently we stayed there 3 times because of there location and price. But for sure there will not be next time.
Top Hotel in Beijing
Jianguo Hotel is a comfortable and friendly hotel to stay in and I have been using this hotel for many years. It has good breakfast facilities, and there are many restaurants in the surrounding area within walking distance. It is also convenient for Yonganli metro station to travel to all places in Beijing or to Beijing and Beijing South Railway Stations. For bargain shopping, the Silk Market is only a five minute walk.
Would recommend
Nice hotel directly outside Yong'anli metro station. Within walking distance to CCTV Headquarters and shopping malls. My prior request for a quiet room was also granted, with a room at the very end of the corridor. Minibar was prohibitively expensive, but there's a small shop built into the hotel.
Good hotel close to metro
The first room was a little noisy as building opposite. We were moved when we asked & second room was quiet. Beds were comfortable. Loved the water garden in the centre of the hotel and we had lunch & breakfast at a table with a very pleasant view. Staff understood more english than in other cities we had visited. We found the location good very easy to get on the metro. The rooms are a little dated but it added to the charm. Breakfast wasn't included in our room but was a reasonable cost and there was a variety of western and chinese fare to choose from.
Nice hotel at a reasonable price
Clean, comfortable and very convenient location. Staff very friendly.
Hotel and Service is not good
We planned to stay 3 weeks at this hotel, but after only 1 week, we couldn’t stay longer. The room was not serviced well and the morning breakfast buffet was dirty and not replenished. We will not stay here again and do not recommend it.
Not as good as in the past. Wont be back.
I've stayed at this hotel many times in the past, usually a decent stay and no complaints. Convenient location and helpful semi English speaking staff. A few issues this time and since there are so many great and reasonably priced hotels in Beijing, we probably won't be back. 1. Paid for two upgraded suites on the Club 4th floor, but needed roll away beds in both rooms for 2 kids since each suite only has one king bed. The hotel tried to charge $45 USD extra for each bed per night. Seriously this was almost as much as paying for a 3rd normal room. If I would have known this I would have just booked 3 normal rooms with double beds. Ridiculously overpriced for an extra tiny bed. 2. Concierge staff needs work. Never had issues before, but this trip had several. They don't call a regular taxi anymore, but only the black cars that cost 50-100% more than a taxi. Twice we were dropped off at wrong locations because the staff wrote the wrong restaurant addresses. Also got dropped off at Temple of Heaven when we asked to go to Forbidden City. My wife has DiDi (Chinese Uber) but staff wouldn't give her English spellings so she could use it to call our own pickups. We had 6 people in our family and we verified a large vehicle for the airport at 5:30am, but only a small taxi was there when we checked out. I have stayed in China over 50 trips, several different hotels, and I was very dissapointed this time.
Well kept business hotel
Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Excellent staff, they went out of the way in accommodating my needs. Being in Beijing is always exciting it would be helpful if they had at least one two staff members fluent in English.
Nice hotel close to shopping mall, subway
Nice, quiet midsize hotel near popular shopping mall and easy access to subway, close to nice restaurants, a major public park, the diplomatic quarter, and much more. A very good value.
Classic boutique Beijing hotel.
Nicely appointed boutique hotel in a great location in Beijing. Easy walking to major shopping areas and for sightseeing. Highly attentive staff and quality services.
Wonderful staff and great location!
We stay here when we are in Beijing about 4 or 5 times a year, and it is our favorite hotel!!
No Wifi can't be contacted.

Great value for money.
Jiangou hotel is a great value for money hotel, in the heart of the CBD, very close to the "Silk Market" and right at Yong'anli (永安里) subway station on Line 1. Very convenient, clean, and comfortable. English speaking front desk and concierge. With their competitive room rates, you can't go wrong.
