The staff were very friendly
Wonderful hotel. Loved the quiet surroundings. Hotel staff helpful for all things from food to tours. I recommend this hotel when staying in Luxor.
This property is a country-side hideaway to which you have to travel narrow dirt roads. In stead of cars and their tooting, you hear moo’s and other sounds from nearby yard with mules, camels, cows, etc. the owner-family is very nice to you. They grow veggies and fruits which they serve at the restaurant. The restaurant is open deck and it was rather cold in early February.
Excellent play to stay. Staff is super nice, hotel is clean and food is good
It is a high quality hotel with personalized service. It is on the other side of the Nile so a little farther not too far. Excellent food! Fresh and delicious. Very friendly and kind:)
Stayed three nights, 12/4 - 12/6 and it was fantastic. They went out of there way to help with us arranging transportation to local areas. Even on tours, we were provided with breakfast boxes! Incredible!!!
Nile view from a far , still nice , staff can help with any sightseeing or transportation. Helpful and welcoming
The restaurant food was fantastic, the staff incredible and make you feel like one of there family
Nice hotel
We spent only one night in this hotel and had to leave very early so we could not enjoy the hotel as we would have liked to. But the staff was very nice, we received a basket of fruits in our room as a welcome present, the cook even made us a coffee at 6am just before we left. The view of the room is amazing, unfortunately we could not test the jacuzzi in the roof top or the pool. The only down side of the hotel is that it is not easy to find (our driver had to ask people along the way) and far from the city. But if you want a quiet place to stay while in Luxor, this is the perfect place!
Great hotel with farm to table restaurant
This hotel is such a gem! The rooms are all unique, the pool is refreshing, and the food is delicious! I did not realize prior to booking that the hotel has their own small farm, and most (if not all) of the produce comes from their own gardens. Everything we ate was delicious! But most of all, the staff is absolutely wonderful! Everyone was so accommodating, helpful, making sure we were well looked after, well fed, and happy. The property is located on the West Bank, so it’s away from the city, and peaceful and quiet. The hotel can arrange a taxi for you anywhere you need to go. Don’t hesitate to stay here, it’s a fantastic value for your money.
The property is gorgeous. Management and staff had me feeling like a VIP. Everyone was attentive and friendly, while maintaining professionalism. If I go back to Luxor, I will definitely stay here again.
Hotel room is excellent, After the shower water is not flowing properly. Every day 2 hours load shedding 4pm to 6 pm.
West of Nile is the less developed, and cheaper side of Luxor. you can walk by the Nile to the barges crossing the river or rent a small boat, both cross the Nile to Karnak Temple the Soak, and the museums. everywhere you see canals, farmers and their clay houses and it is very safe. fantastic site seeing (valley of the Kings , Hiba temple, and lots of others within 15 mins taxi ride), there are also the early morning hot air balloons which are a quiet and safe way to beautiful views. I did an hour excursion on the desert motorway to Dandara temple near Qana, an extraordinary place for a mix of old Egyptian and Roman artistic feel. Luxor is a small town with a very good airport, dominated by the smell of villages and the great Nile. nothing matches such combination of history, countryside and sun.
There are scheduled power outages which we learned about upon arrival, don't plan to be there between 4-6 pm. Limited dining and transportation options nearby however I am sure the staff would be happy to help you. The hotel restaurant charges in USD, hotel food pricing. On our first night, one of the hotel team tried to convince us to book activities with them by telling us that our existing organized excursion was unavailable (which turned out to be misinformation). I did really like the area, but it is hard to find for drivers. Quiet, many guest houses and more of a local village feel but you may feel limited without an organized driver due to its location.
The hotel is a beautiful oasis in the city. It's large central courtyard is perfect for dining or just relaxing. Restaurant for was delicious and wholesome. Our room was unique with a large dome in the ceiling. The staff were always helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Lovely, quiet and friendly
Really nice, quiet and friendly hotel hidden away on the West Bank. Not an awful lot to do in the vicinity, the West Bank is a rural area of dirt tracks and banana fields so not easy to walk to anything else. However, It is an easy took took ride to the ferry, which takes you to the east side and the city proper. The staff were always helpful, arranging taxis and took tooks and offering advice. The food was all tasty and the pool was a welcome respite at the end of the day. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
The hotel manager Saeed and his staff provided excellent service and additional assistance with booking excursions such as a Nile cruise, travelling to east bank of luxor and purchasing spices from a local vendor. The hotel is clean and the room is spacious with a nice view of the nile and the hotel garden. We booked half board and the breakfast and dinners were varied and freshly prepared with some ingredients from the hotel garden like banana, mango, arugala, coriander, lime and okra. Should I return to Luxor I would book with Howard Carter Jewell of the Valley again.
Clean Safe Great Staff very Helpful and courteous.
I visited with my spouse for a couple of days. She mentioned this was one of her favorite stays of all time Sitting in the quiet evening eating a leisurely meal at the restaurant while watching different boats go up and down the Nile was memorable. It was also a welcome escape from Cairo and Luxor cities. The staff was nothing but gracious and kind. Service was top-tier and food was good. It's not too bad getting back and forth across the river - we'll worth it to experience the peace of staying here.
