Very ineresting property that is quiet and serene. Staff is extremely friendly, kind and helpful but definitely need more training to be employed at a "five star" facility. Also, the facility has NO airconditioning and was extremly hot, humid and uncomfortable.

Lovely hotel recommend for 2 nights

Beautiful hotel surrounded by nature however we stayed 4 nights and this was a bit too long as not much to do and far from Ella. Room wasn't huge and menu was quite limited for a 4 night stay.

Stayed here in 2020 and loved it. Two night stay was fab. Did the night walk and the morning padi walk. Both fairly low key but interesting. Food is wonderful -beautifully presented and delicious. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Just loved our open air shower bathroom concept. Totally recommend the spa/massage.

Very unique property about 50 minutes from Ella, different and very nice but not luxurious, remote, lovely and quiet and very attentive staff. Lovely local food and lovely peaceful pool, overlooking rice fields and the peacocks are great!

Two nights not enough

What a gem. Loved this place and regretted having to leave after only 2 nights . Did not do it or the surroundings justice . Next time !!! Staff were wonderful, food was great. Room was fabulous - loved the outdoor shower . Love the ethos behind this brand

Beautiful hotel in fantastic grounds

Beautiful hotel in fantastic grounds teaming with wildlife, the wild peacocks in particular were a highlight. The bungalows themselves are lovely and stylish. This is a high end hotel and has the service and food quality you'd expect, but the staff do make a real effort to be particularly helpful and attentive. An ideal base to chill out and explore Ella and around.

Complete Sri Lanka Experience in one Hotel

The most beautiful hotel set amongst the peace of the paddy fields. Just far enough from the bustle of Ella but still within easy reach of everything you could want from the area. Everything’s thing from the rooms, to the food, to the pool are paradise. The staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you. Pradeep was the finest host we could ever wish for. From his recommendations of delicious Sri Lankan food fresh from the kitchen (and straight from the on site farm) to the adventurous tours of the local’s secret waterfall and the sites of Ella we would never have found without him. He alone made our experience of the hotel. Could not recommend staying here enough.

This hotel takes you away from technology - though there is WiFi - it has a ‘back to nature vibe’ (no tv, only a mesh net separating you and the outdoors). Staff are very welcoming and 45 min drive from Kandy.

Great secluded place with stunning views, the rooms are comfortable although ac is always appreciated for a 3* hotel whether it's a jungle hut or not. The food needs improvement, the curries are not freshly prepared but rather heated up from previous servings. We've had much better cuisines in so many other places. The staff and location makes up for it. 5/5

A hidden oasis

Lovely villas overlooking paddy field, staff very welcoming and friendly. Beautiful grounds and buildings, pool and views stunning and food exquisite - 1 of us is vegan and they have a separate menu, the food is delicious!

Sensational hotel

Absolutely sensational hotel. The rooms are set in breathtaking grounds and the views across the paddy fields are beautiful. One of the best pool areas I’ve ever seen with again stunning views. The food and service was excellent and the food and drink very reasonably priced.

Too remote and overpriced

We didn’t realise the distance and length of travel necessary from the hotel to Ella. Given its remote location, convenience dictates guests to eat at the hotel. Unfortunately this was a very disappointing experience. Whilst the staff are friendly and try to please, their training is quite lacking. Likewise with the chef. This is a chain hotel and so I attribute this to management. The menu didn’t change at all during the whole 7 day stay. Food was lacklustre and stodgy. For a $300 per night hotel, this was unacceptable.

Amazing piece of paradise

We had an absolutely fantastic stay. The bungalow rooms were perfect, the pool had views of the rice padddies and the food in the restaurant was excellent. We only had two nights here, but wished we had stayed longer. One point to note is that the rooms don’t have aircon only fan and no windows only mosquito nets instead of glass. We usually have aircon rooms and found that it was cool enough in the evening with the breeze. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Incredible stay at the Jetwing. Everything was perfect, from the rooms to the deliciously delicious food! Not to mention the pool with the view on the fields, the gorgeous site, the kindness of all the staff & the local peacocks :)

Staff Make This Hotel

Brillliant Hotel. The staff at this hotel really make it a special experience. Our personal butler Eranda was so nice and helpful from start to finish. We had a private dining experience which Eranda organised which was fantastic. The hotel also arranged a local tuk tuk driver for a day of exploring which was fantastic. If you are English speaking highly recommend requesting Therinda as your driver, so knowledgable of the local area.Food and drink was lovely. Drinks are expensive compared to other hotels in Sri Lanka, but still reasonable.

Exceptional value for money

We only had one night there in December. The staff were attentive and helpful. We loved the setting among endless rice fields and the spacious grounds on which a vast array of animals roamed/ flew freely - from peacocks to monkeys, and we even had the opportunity to see fireflies on our balcony. The room was large with a colonial feel to it and there were bicycles conveniently parked right outside our doorstep for us to use around the premises. The dinner options were ok and very reasonably priced. The breakfast options were good. We had the best omelette ever there for breakfast and they are really patient with special requests. If I had to think of a minus point it would be that the WiFi was intermittent, although we found this to be overwhelmingly the case throughout Sri Lanka.

Very pleasant eco-lodge stay.

Fantastic, friendly, helpful staff. Raj was especially nice and responsive. Eranda guided us on a very nice and memorable evening walk to see wildlife. Peaceful, quiet setting about 25 minutes outside of Ella. An eco-lodge with everything that suggests.

Nice getaway

Lovely hotel. Location is quite secluded so limited eating options other than at the hotel. Also be careful, taxes are excluded on everything.

Excellent Eco Resort

Really great ECO resort, the staff were most helpful and the room was big with a very nice outdoor style bathroom. The food in the kitchen was excellent too. I would recommend this to a couple or a family, or anyone that does not want to stay in Ella. It was very good value for money, Id give this an 84/100.

This eco-hotel is quite unique. It is located in a forest and faces the rice fields. Staff here were extremely friendly and very happy to help. A great experience all around!

Beautiful secluded getaway

This is an amazing stay, away from the hustle and bustle of Ella. In a serene location, the staff are incredibly courteous and helpful. The food is of a great quality. The travel to Ella to sight see is about a half hour away but the drive is beautiful so this is in no way a negative. The rooms are amazing, having your own private cabana. Highly recommend

Perfection in Wellawaya

From beginning to send, the Jetwing knocked it out of the park. The staff was excellent, and they made everything easy. The views from the area were stunning, that mountain backgroup is just incredible. The food was always amazing and the room was wonderful. A very nice outdoor shower with great amenities was great to come back to after a long bike ride with their complimentary bicycles. Each member of the staff was incredible, especially their younger manager in train who spent time talking with us about local things to see as well as making sure we had all the information to get to our next destination. We will be telling all of our friends to come to Sri Lanka just to stay here.

Beautiful hotel with mountain views

My husband and I stayed at this Jetwing Kaduruketha for 3 nights and we absolutely loved our stay! Each guest has their own villa with a patio and ours had a beautiful mountain view right outside our door. The hotels location is breathtaking and wild peacocks roam about all morning and day! The pool is very nice, also with a beautiful view and the food from the restaurant was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful and each guest villa comes with bikes,and your own personal butler! We would definitely stay here again! The only negative part is there is not much close by so you don't really have a choice other than dining at the hotel, which can be a bit pricey especially after they tack on the service charge, but other Than that zero complaints!

will not stay again

Wrong city description says bandarawella but it's 50km away in wallawaya. Would not have booked it. The roofs of the rooms had gaps with the walls letting in bugs n lil lizards. Breakfast is too limited for what you pay for a room. Ordered ice cream I got two small scoops for 900 rupees. Place is way too expensive for what you pay for it.

Superior hospitality

Beautiful hotel in the mountains and great pool. Management, and Kasun in particular, was quick to help when I had a problem with my reservation and could not have been more hospitable. One note though - this hotel is quite off on its own so if you're looking for a great getaway in the mountains it's for you, but if you want to be close to or anywhere near to town or restaurants then may not be the place. The food here is great - maybe best meal in the country.

Fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and catered for every need. They have great in depth knowledge of the local area of things to see and do. Everybody is only too happy to help. The room was beautiful with great views onto the paddy fields. A++ would recommend a visit. P.S we also stayed at the 98 Acres hotel for a few nights and thought that this Jet Wing hotel was better in terms of its service and the scenery.

Perfect stay!

We had a fantastic stay for 3 days. Our room was incredible, the food was sublime, infinity pool was great and best of all was the staff. We do not know everyone's name but they were all brilliant. A young chap called Nalin particularly looked after us and made sure everything was perfect for us, which it was. Also, I like the attitude and morals of this place. They are eco friendly and do a lot to help the surrounding community. I'd highly recommend this place.

Great getaway hotel to relax in!

I stayed here for two nights, so had one full day to relax in this beautiful hotel. It's recently opened, so everything is pristine and work is continually being done on the property to improve it further. The rooms are actually private Eco bungalows, each with a private garden platform that overlooks the stunning rice paddy fields. Due to the location (quite far from any serious civilisation), food and drink options are limited - expect to eat and drink in the hotel all the time. However, the remote location does have its advantages when it comes to breaking away from tourists and the general hustle and bustle. The local village is quaint and the staff who work at the hotel are employed locally, so can take you on a mountain bike tour of the village, nearby lake and a beautiful waterfall (seriously beautiful). The other attraction is the hotel's philosophy on eco tourism and sustainability. The hotel chain is much more interested in developing Sri Lanka through education and development, as opposed to making all rooms energy-draining AC fridges and employing characterless cutlery-polishing staff. All-in-all, it's a great place to relax for two nights. Thoroughly recommend if you are in need of a day to recharge.

Fantastic new hotel. Is more of a 5 star than a 3 star. All rooms are individual bungalows with wonderfully comfortable beds, large luxurious bathrooms and every bungalow comes with its own veranda. Also, guests are assigned their own butler. The hotel hires local youth which we really liked. This hotel has the nicest pool and views I have seen so far in Sri Lanka.

This hotel is located in a beautiful, nature-rich setting with a magical atmosphere. The staff were incredibly hospitable and made our stay even more special. The curries we had at the restaurant were absolutely delicious and unforgettable. From check-in to check-out, every moment was filled with excitement, making it one of the most memorable hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I’m truly satisfied with choosing this place for our stay.

Beautiful, really peaceful place with great staff. Dinesh was beyond helpful and took great care during my whole stay and also the driver Tharidu was very reliable and shared so many interesting stories about Sri Lanka on our trips.

L’hôtel est magnifique et très relaxant grâce aux chambres très confortables et la vue superbe qu’offre la terrasse du cottage. Le service au restaurant est très bien, seul point négatif : l’hotel accueille des groupes qui peuvent être bruyants à table. Enfin n’hésitez pas a découvrir les alentours ! L’hôtel nous a mis en relation avec un guide génial Tharindu (n’hésitez pas à faire appel à lui) passionné par son métier il nous a montré des endroits fabuleux.

Excessivement décevant

Un environnement exceptionnel avec vue sur des plantations. Des employés qui veulent bien nous aider mais qui ne comprennent pas assez l’anglais. La qualité de la nourriture était bien en bas de nos attentes. Le site web de l’hotel parlait d’un magnifique jardin mais le tout laissait à désirer. Bref, nous avons été déçu sur toute la ligne. Beaucoup de bonne volonté mais peu de résultat.
