I really enjoyed not only the hotel itself and great food (a lot of choice, fruits and vegetables and amazing live cooking), but the most - the team! Very polite, gentile, caring and always in the best mood spreading the smile and great mood around. Special thanks to the animation team - Alberto and Johny - you are rocking guys! And the real highlight - the shows with the external great artists and live music every evening! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Hope to have a pleasure to stay next time with you soon <3

This is an excellent property. Staff outstanding, food delicious and so much to choose from. Pools clean, 1 heated pool ( childrens pool) beach always has chairs, wait staff as well as nice swimming and snorkeling

Amazing resort in Hurgada

The resort was clean, the room was nice and cosy, the service was amazing. The front desk team was amazing specially Hassan and Abdul Hak. Definitely going back and recommending the resort the friends and family

I have only good things to say about this property. I am a frequent traveler and have visited many many countries over the years. Jaz complex is five stars all over. Service is amazing, the food is top quality and varied there is plenty of choices for everyone. The staff goes beyond their duties to make sure your stay surpassed expectations. The hotel is beautiful perfect for kids. And the value for money is one of the best I’ve seen

A beautiful property located on the beach in a gated safe community. Great staff who were fun to be around with excellent service! Food diversity and quality needs improving and the hotel needs a concierge who can recommend outside activities and tours in the area outside the hotel. Shuttle service to Hurghada city was not running at the time of our stay and the nightclub was under renovations which was disappointing but overall I was very pleased with this hotel. Great value here!

Family Friendly Fun

Great resort, incredibly family friendly was a breeze with a 11 month old. Plenty of choice and variety for breakfast lunch and dinner with snack and drinks in between. Pool was great and heated to a good temperature. Plenty of activities and entertainment. Great beach location with facilities.

Clean, convenient, accessible, friendly, fun place to be. The one issue that may need some work is the quality of the bufet for all inclusive. Overall, the hotel is excellent and I would certainly go back again.

Front desk staff were not too friendly. Check in took a while. Cleaning was excellent. Food was good but not great. Oriental restaurant was amazing. Beach and cabanas were great. Coral is right on the beach. Diving/Scuba yate leaves from the hotel's pier. Water park was great for both kids and adults and is about 8 minutes away on the shuttle. Both shuttle and park are free for guests. Hotel is about 30 minutes away form the airport. We had a good time and recommend this place.

Excellent hotel and services

Lovely family holiday, hotel is everything you need with the beach, the pool ( including a heated section) and a couple of nice restaurants and cafes all within a 5 minute walk (ideal when you have families ). They've catered for children with a lot of activities and a nearby waterpark However the really outstanding thing about the hotel is the staff, very friendly and attentive and doing their best ensure a nice stay

We stayed with amazing view . All staffs are so kind and treat guest well. The only thing I dont like is the pillow . It was really uncomfy all of my family said like that . And all other thing is perfect during the stay .

It is my favourite resort in Hurghada , like the service, weather , snorkiling , food , activities and the atmosphere. great egyptian cuisine i'd like to thank Chef Hazem and his co-chefs for the great taste , service is so quick and everyone is smiling , recommended for families. Rooms are clean and room service is fast. But, i didn't like that 'from mangement i guess' Egyptian citizens they give them White braclet and forigners with blue ones , last year we didn't have this racist idea. that is considered Racism as you don't have to differntiate between any one according to his nationlaity (BTW i have a forigner passport but i like to enter with my EGYPT ID )

Amazing excperience

Jaz Makadina was one of my favorite resorts in Hurghada , the service is really amazing , staff are really polite and helpful , they offer to help in each corner around the resort . we got a family room which was looking to a nice garden view. mostly is not considered large resort which is okay for me as I have a baby and need to go around with stroller Food is worth to try every kind of it , amazing Egyptian Chefs and they always ask for any feedback or comments on the food. so concerning the meals you will enjoy it, Entertainment was nice shows and keep you busy all day long , everyday with new show and every night is better then night before it, Animation team was kinda of OK not best animation team ,I didn't like their attitude towards Arab guests as they were not offer any games for them. for overall view , ALL inclusive resort with high standards and good money value for the service.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Lovely hotel, room, lovely food and choice, very friendly staff. Just about adequate gym. You can also walk around the other hotels but the all inc does not cover for those, even though they are also Jazz. Evening entertainment: early evening was a basic kids dancing/interaction. Later I didn't participate as on my own.

Overall, good value for money

The resort has all you need for a beach vacation, with great food and lots of activities. However, even though the employees working at the resort was super attentive and smiley, we felt they were not happy with their work conditions, and this can bump you up a little. They are so worried about the reviews the guests give them, that is like they are trying too hard. I felt for them.

Exceptional hotel service

I have travelled my whole life to more than a hundred hotels in over 20 countries, the service in this hotel was exceptional, the staff are very welcoming, cheerful and helpful. They offer you what you are thinking about before asking. Housekeeping is also great. The location in makadi bay has many hotels and a big aqua park with extra charge. Food and beverage are available all the day long every where. The dolphin show nearby is arranged by the hotel and is great. They have water sports and diving center.

Excellent location

Very good hotel next to the beach, good food, great staff and amenities. Scubaworld dive centre is next to the hotel. Makadi bay is an excellent location for diving, snorkelling and walking around the bay.

Very bad and rude team, uncomfortable service, team members speak very, very bad words about guests in local language, considering guests won't understand it. checked out the very next morning. Management was informed

Good Experience

Stayed in the resort for 2 days and it was great experience. Hotel staff are excellent always willing to help and smiling. Food is also nice especially shwarma and BBQ. Entertainment is also very excellent we enjoyed it a lot especially Miss Alona because she invited us to join children dance evening party much appreciated. While checkout hotel receptionist forgot to give us our passport and they are kind enough to send our passport to our next resort and they paid for it. Rooms very clean.

A definite come back

A Great -4days- vacation..nice spot..clean rooms..good food..friendly-super responsive-staff..kids drop in area..free access to jakuzi and makadi water park that is so much fun as well..very coopertive front office who checked us in 6 hours early to an upgraded family room and also sent a free shuttle bus to pick us and deliver us back to the airport.. Food was good..but salads and desserts get afew points less than the main courses..

I had a great couple of days there, I was lucky enough to have this sea view room. The food was good, the service was good, however I didn't like the salesman behavior, and the staff outfit cleanness, but overall it was good experience.

Amazing .. Will be back again !

We we were a family of 4 adults and 3 kids .. We booked the Family rooms and let me say everything was just amazing... From the Greetings with a smile to the very cozy Room styles everything was just perfect... We a booked an all Inclusive. Family rooms over look the gardens and generally all rooms seems to be quiet. The lunch buffet was OK but the Dinner at the Main restaurant was great... The variety of food was good and the taste too. The only 2 comments are as a chocolate lover I never found any chocolate desserts& there are no restaurants ( even a la carte) after midnight... One of the rooms had chocolates brought in every day but my room didn't ... There is also a lot of fun activities Darts ; jacuzzi; baby foot... The Animation team were really lovely and again all Smiling.... We asked for a 1 night extension on a very short notice and unfortunately we couldn't get it is a very high season; But the GM Mr Wissam was very keen to find us a room and that definitely will make Makadina out place in Hurgada next time ... I would like to thank all team from reception to waiters for letting us have a Comfortable and pleasant stay!!!

Great food,delicious variety of food choices,all sat well with me,wonderful beds and mattresses,spacious rooms spotless and quiet.I will skip Alcohol drinks evaluation as I am not a connoisseur of any degree and I do understand that to some that factor can make or break the deal,sorry cant be of help here unlike food and comfort I am an unbending person . The Beach is a real plus as it is a Bay with no rough or noisy surf,crystal clear turquoise water bottomed with silk soft sand shallow to pleasure wade for a considerable distance.You can watch and enjoy rainbow of colored fish sloshing around you in some shallow spots,for memorable breathtaking corals and good size fish scenery go little deeper or use glass bottom boat on location. Secured to possible limits location and as safe as it can get. Flight is about one hour from Cairo.From local airport tohotel is about 40 KM with no defined or clear rules or guidelines for transportation info.Meters got no respect.

We really enjoyed our stay since we arrived we felt we are specials , they welcomed as VIP guests ... The reception staff were polit and very helpful . The room was great very clean but we found very small lizard , once we called them they immidately sent us one from the room service staff to remove it thats because they have alot of gardens.. The main restaurant was beyond our exepctation as the food and drinks and staff was wonderful. Beach was fantastic and there was a waiter who was bringing all services to beach . We also did anti stress massage at the spa was really perfect and anti stress ,, finally we took at the last day our dinner at aqua rest. we ate sea food we really cant ask for more.. We advise anyone going to makadi stay at this hotel we really enjoyed every single moment there

Very nice hotel in beautiful location on Red Sea

Wonderful hotel, very clean and attractive overall. The food was good with a nice selection, a bit above average in quality with nice presentation. The room was excellent, clean and in great condition, nice size, and the air conditioning was powerful. Free access to the big water park was thoroughly enjoyed by my daughter. The beach was nice, and the snorkeling was excellent just off the beach with many fish and live corals to see. Some of the other guests could be a bit rude at times, especially in the buffet restaurant, but I suppose that is to be expected when most are from eastern Europe... We were the only Americans at the hotel and the only people speaking English. Most of the staff did speak decent English however so we had no difficulties. This was a nice 3-day beach/relaxation break in between our travel throughout most of Egypt's best ancient sites. Our only minor complaint about the hotel would be the weak air conditioning in the buffet restaurant. The weather was hot (August), but I think the A/C is underpowered for the space. It could get quite sweaty during meals, especially at the peak times when many people were dining.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy food

Everything was perfect beach , pool and restaurant but they need more staff to offer drinks and cool towels in the beach and pool area and the animation team wasn't good or active. Food was good with large varieties

Happy vacation

We got all what we need to get nice vacation the only thing I notice in my room there's no drawers unit even in the closet to your things in one place may this not important for everyone but it's important to me rather than through things everywhere in the room

We enjoyed our vacation and this was 2nd year stay but what I notice the hotel was fully booked and the staff members wasn't enough to cover all guest and the animation team was very poor you hardly notice their action

Excellent

Another memorable holiday at another excellent Jaz hotel, the Makadina is everything we hoped for and more. Location was perfect, right on the beach, brilliant pool. Fantastic service, cleanliness and attention to detail. Food very good lots of choice for everyone, staff friendly attentive. Free tickets to water park, which was easy to get to and well worth the visit. This year we also took a half day dolphin excursion with the on site team, it was magical. Thank you everyone at Jaz Makadina for another wonderful holiday

My favorite hotel

Very amazing trip in one of the most wonderful hotels in hurghada. I can't describe my pleasure in this hotel with their hospitality. This was my 2nd time and not the last time.

All Inclusive + Water Park == Perfect for Families

This is a great place to stay if you have kids!! The convenience of the All Inclusive makes you feel very secured that your kids can practically eat or drink whenever they are hungry so no stress with your kids' diet! Even though the food variety is not fantastic (not quite 5 star) yet there is plenty of food and you can overall have a decent (not fantastic) meal. The fact that Makadi has a water park and it is included in your stay is super convenient and the kids just love it (actually not just the kids ;-)). You can have lots of fun with your kids at the water park, in the heated pool or over at the beach! At night you can enjoy the animation team performances and entertainment whether at the hotel or a 5min walk to the Teatro (theater). One last thing, because the water park is within Makadi city it is also part of the all inclusive deal so staying there you can have some snacks and soft drinks all day long!

Way better than expected

Having read about 5* hotels in Egypt being a big over claim, we were preparing ourselves expecting the photos to have flattered the place, assuming it would be a bit tatty, not necessarily perfectly clean, boring food and maybe a patchy level of service. Nothing could have been further from the truth, it was SUPERB. Add to that all the staff were warm and friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. We seemed to be the only English family in the hotel, which I have never experienced before, but loved it. No forced 'making friends' but all the staff spoke English and seemed to give us extra service as we were a bit of a novelty. Everything conveniently situated, a lovely beach with a reef about 40m out with loads of fish and coral to see snorkelling.

Outstanding and amazing Hotel and resort ,very cheap prices if you compare with offered services ..the management is very professional, staff very kindly and honestly ,great for diving & swimming & playing golf & suitable for either relaxation, entertainment or family vacation .they are offering daily show for kids as well as adults , you will not not spend a dollar inside if you need because everything is included, this is second stay for me here and i am willing to visit every year

Wir hatten das Hotel auf Grund der guten Bewertungen fürs Essen ausgewählt und sind total begeistert gewesen. Die Speisen waren vorzüglich, das Personal immer sehr bemüht dass alle Teller am Bufet schön aussehen und alles sauber bleibt. Die Anlage ist sehr klein und überschaubar, was uns sehr gefallen hat. Für Familien mit kleinen Kindern optimal, durch Spielplatz u Kids Club (ab 4 J.) Und eine kleine Ecke am Bufet mit Kinderessen das wenig oder gar nicht gewürzt war. Super gut !

Overall it was ok-ish, but cleanness of the room and restaurants could be improved. People were nice, but always with focus on tip. Seemed very old-style and definitely needs some renovations and service upgrades…

Eine sehr schöne Anlage, mit einem wunderschönen Strand, wo man gut schnorcheln kann. Schöne Anlage, sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Allerdings ist die Anlage mehr für Erwachsene, anstatt für Kinder ausgelegt. Der Wasserpark, den man in 10 Minuten mit dem Transfer erreicht, ist jetzt kein Highlight.

Es war alles perfekt. Besonders der Service am Strand von Deif hat uns besonders gefallen. Die Cocktails waren gut, der stand schön und zum schnorcheln auch prima. Alles in allem haben wir nichts anzumerken und es war ein gelungener Urlaub

Perfect Hotel !

Hôtel super calme et très bien pour les familles. Le personnel et le service au restaurant est incroyable. Le service au bar en revanche beaucoup moins bien . Hotel propre, piscine très bien entretenue. Pour l’aquapark il faut prendre une navette qui est souvent en retard, l’attente sous la chaleur est vite invivable avec des enfants.

Restaurant, rooms,gardens,pool all of that was very clean.and the staff were very friendly, i was very suprised when the chef of restaurant cames to me and sister and tell us that he will always wash our baby bottle(sterilized),for the health of ou children.

Ich bin zum 8. Mal in Ägypten und will Euch einfach die Vor- und Nachteile vom Hotel aufzeigen (Vergleich zu Makadi Spa, Makadi Palace, JAZ-Aquamarine, Pickalbatros Palace Port Ghalib). Das Hotel ist etwas kleiner als die Nachbarhotels und liegt direkt am Strand. Die Zimmer sind Jaz Typisch, alles funktioniert, vielleicht etwas altmodisch aber und Bad für 2 Personen etwas eng, aber für den Urlaub völlig ausreichend. Die Gartenanlage ist super gepflegt und echt hübsch. Die Shows sind teilweise gut bis normal, kein Theater, es wird auf der Terrasse an der Bar aufgeführt. Das Fitnessstudio ist sehr klein, aber zu meiner Zeit waren auch nur maximal 3 Leute drin, mehr passen aber auch nicht rein. Animation und Händler sehr unauffällig, sie fragen einmal, und bei nein gehen sie auch sofort weiter. Nett, die Pooltücher liegen in einer Tasche auf dem Zimmer und der Zimmerservice tauscht am Abend auf Wunsch die Handtücher aus Vorteile: - Super Buffet, morgens, mittags und abends extrem viel Auswahl und sehr hochwertig (bisher das beste Buffet aller Hotels), Mittag ist auch noch zusätzlich ein schönes Strandrestaurant geöffnet, dort gibt es Pizza, Burger, Nudeln etc. Am Abend wird immer auf dem Holzkohlengrill gegrillt (2 Gerichte) im Restaurant 3-4 frisch zubereitete Speisen (Ente, Fisch, Steak, Puter, Kalbsstelze, etc. sehr abwechlungsreich) - Super nette Angestellte, aufmerksam und immer hilfsbereit - Anzahl Liegen ausreichend, keine Reservierung schon morgens ab 6 Uhr

The rooms, restaurant, beach and Bars were always clean and the employees were very courteous. We are really enjoyed snorkeling. We went to the beach every day and enjoyed the sun. The reception was very disinterested in us, there was no open welcome like from other employees of the house. No one at the reception was interested in complaints about the noise from the pool. During the stay I contacted Expedia about the problem with the noise. If I'm sitting at lunch and there's flexing 10 meters away, I find that very questionable. I would go there again but nobody interested.

Didn’t like: Lots of staff everywhere speaking on their phones or being quite loud. Very cramped beach. Cut the beautifully green grass too short so it turned all brown… Liked: Very clean. Beautiful garden. The temperature of the heated pool. The beach walk promenade of makadi bay was also nice.

War wie schon die Male zuvor alles bestens. Kann man immer buchen. Manches könnte langsam renoviert werden, aber geht noch. Der Arzt im Hotel sollte man meiden, die Preise sind exorbitant.
