A very nice, clean hotel-resort. Close to the beach and a bonus free waterpark with 50 slides. The internet covers the entire hotel plus the beach too, a little slow but OK. The food and drinks are OK. The staff speak mostly German, less English. Thanks for the nice vacation Jaz group. I'll see you again.

it was an amazing stay

Beautiful place

This is a beautiful place It is spotlessly clean and in a great location It is also clearly a flagship resort for a large German travel agent, as evidenced by all of the certificates in their reception area; however this means that you will be greeted in German first for the entirety of your stay ... It became easier and less awkward to just reply in German. I would have rather they spoke Arabic at first Our stay was amazing - The room (superior, pool view) was on the ground floor, and as such had steps straight from the balcony area to the pool, which saved having to fight for sunbeds ... although there seemed to be plenty The short walk across the road and down the leafy lane to the beach was no bother at all, and the snorkelling at the coral just off the beach was awesome - we saw loads of colourful fish, and even a ray The place is idyllic The only gripe would be in the buffet restaurant - The staff are over attentive, and three times we had our table cleared when we were at the buffet (despite leaving drinks/bags/jackets etc) The food is a little unimaginative - again, the breakfast has a very German feel (which isn't much of an issue, I like cold cuts and bread) You can get some eggs cooked if you queue up, but this is Egypt, so don't expect any pork-related items And the drinks are laughably bad. From watery juice and beer, through to bizarre-tasting cocktails. G&T's were good apparently, but a whisky was undrinkable. Branded ones are available but v. dear

Great accommodation, really nice place but, having booked & paid through Expedia for a friend and her children to stay, she was informed upon arrival - following a 10 hour bus journey from Cairo- that she was ineligible to stay as she was an Egyptian passport holder, the booking cancelled and my credit card refunded. She was then offered alternative accommodation, at a more expensive tariff than Expedia ( disappointing but accepted) and enjoyed a pleasant stay. However, when I csntacted the hotel to settle the bill, my card having been refunded the cost of the original booking, I was told that they could not accept payment over the phone, a direct payment to the hotel’s bank not possible and I had to be there in person to pay by card. As a consequence my friend was put in the very awkward position of being forced to pay for a stay for which she had made no financial provision. All in all a very unsatisfactory end to what otherwise would have been a pleasant stay.

Our stay at Jaz Makadi Oasis Resort in Hurghada was simply wonderful, offering a perfect blend of comfort, entertainment, and natural beauty. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly. The cleaning team did an amazing job, with special mention to Mohammed. The 24-hour reception front desk was super helpful, especially when we arrived late at night, and even thoughtfully provided us with boxed dinners which was greatly appreciated after long trip. Their prompt communication helped greatly to accomodate the airport transfer to our delayed flight. The all-inclusive food options were delicious. Additionally, we were provided with lunch boxes for our trips to Cairo and Luxor, which was very convenient. The hotel grounds are meticulously maintained, there are plenty of flowers and plants, making it a pleasure to stroll through. The two pool areas were very clean and not busy. The beach is a very short walk through a treed alley, and boasted beautiful sand and calm waters due to location in the bay. The water was very clear and of beautiful turquoise color. Right from the beach we were able to go snorkeling and see beatiful corals and an abundance of fish. In terms of entertainment, the hotel offered a variety of options to keep guests entertained throughout the day. From sports activities to engaging performers in the evening, there was always something exciting happening.

Every thing was well organised , the room was very comfortable and clean food was excellent, a good selection and not repeated every day, the staff were very intentive pool and gardens immaculate, and good entertainment in the evenings

Recommended for family stay, super attentive staff (specific thanks fo Moussa from housekeeping), very good food and excellent day and evening entertainment!

The best place for vacation.

The best hotel I been before for the past 10 years. Room cleaned a few times per day. Food is perfect 😋. Friendly staff. Big room. Close to the sea beach. Big swimming pool with warm water.

I travel a LOT and without doubt this is one of the most comfortable places I’ve stayed in many years, so much so I’ve extended my stay twice while being here. EVERY me ever if the team goes above and beyond to make you feel truly welcome. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed and spotless clean. The gardens are manicured to perfection. The buffet is extensive and of great quality. My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi in the rooms can be a nightmare and as a digital nomad trying to work while here that’s a big challenge. Overall I have absolutely no problem highly recommending this marvellous experience

Excellent food and service, remarkable snorkeling

We've originally booked a Superior room with garden view, which was a big disappointment. Very small terrace facing across the street to the neighboring Iberotel with a constant noise from external A/C units, and also from a washing machine (up to the 3rd floor through the airshaft, around 11pm). We've had to pay €20 extra per night for upgrade to the Family room with a larger terrace, facing the pool, which finally met our expectations. We were very happy with the all inclusive buffet meals in the main buffet restaurant, providing a wide variety of choices. The flavours were well targeting European guests; only the 2 Egyptian-style dinners during the week brought unusual tastes for us. Excellent desserts - both baklava and EU style, very tasty. The pools and the inner garden were meticulously managed by hotel gardeners (unusual, compared to other similar resorts). Drinks: AI inclusive were just the usual soft drinks and not much tasty fruit juices (freshly pressed juice cost €4 per glass!). Freely provided local beer was weak but OK, but the local wines (just white, rose and red on tap) were hardly acceptable for Europeans. Several cocktails were also on the AI list, however too sweet and tasted differently due to the basic local liquors. But that's probably OK for the price advantage. Pros: we've enjoyed snorkeling around coral reefs close to hotel Jaz Makadi beach (sunbeds and umbrellas free for hotel guests) and also managed a valuable one-day trip to Luxor.

Great stay

Great stay as this was last min change to itinerary Resturant manager was great ( Mohammad hagzeb ) got a personal greeting every time you see him . Only thing I would suggest to improve is the reception as they are bit slow , requires a bit of training but rest is excellent

We loved it!

Everything was just so perfect. Staff is amazing, friendly and always helpful. Rooms are comfy and clean. Food was delicious and always lots of varieties to choose from. Kids were so happy and having fun all day. We will definitely go back again soon!

Hotel was calm and comfort, quality of food was good although not too many varaities, Mr. Mohamed the restaurant manager is such a nice and helpful person. Wifi is so bad, you can say there is no internet in the hotel, beach is good but a bit far from the hotel. Ibrahim from the reception he must well taught how to deal with the guests or otherwise put him in any other place not to get contacted with the guests.

Staff is great management is very poor .. front desk is helpless and always refer to grneral manager who never solve a problem

Great place to relax and unwind

The rooms were lovely, the entertainment was fun, and the staff went out of their way to be accommodating; the food was plentiful, but some of the choices could have been of a higher quality. All in all, it was a nice stay.

A family vacation

It was very good vacation over all clean room very good food but the management was very strict

This is a mainly full of Germans on holiday. For us who are English who live in Egypt it wasn't a problem as we were only there for a relaxing week-end but for an English person coming for a 1 or 2 week holiday I feel this would be disappointing to them as there would be very few if anyone to mix with. The hotel wasn't very relaxing as there was always music on plus the animation team keep coming round to get you to join in the activities. Great if you want this but some of us don't & each day was like living a Groundhog day over & over again. It is a hotel for families as both pools were geared up for this so it would be better to go for another Jaz hotel that caters for adults only if you don't have kids. The pool area was clean & was well maintained. The buffet food was okay but seemed to be the same each night. The pool bar pizza was the best during the day & a nice change from the buffet. We ate 1 night at the Indian Amaya under the dine around which was excellent. It is always good to be waited on to. Staff are very good in general but we have been to better hotels within the Jaz hotels. However I always say you pay for what you get & if you are looking for a cheap week away then this will tick the boxes as I know the other Jaz hotels are more money.

A perfect sun and snorkelling break

We were probably the only guests not German, but we didn't mind as it's nice to escape your fellow country folk sometimes! The room and hotel was good - all facilities you need and clean and tidy. We didn't tip the staff as we went which I think the Germans did, so we felt we didn't get such great service (didn't feel we needed to with all inclusive until the end?). Food was good, particularly the snack bar at the beach at lunchtimes. Snorkelling equipment was free (with a refundable deposit) and we spent most days swimming on the beautiful coral reefs with the amazing topical fishes. For a reasonably priced one week escape to the sun, it suited us perfectly.

Lovely hotel

Everyone from the hotel staff, to the cleaners, to the animation team we're nice and welcoming. I'm very picky with food but they had a massive variety and everything was clean and tasty. However if your someone that's looking to be close to the city centre this isn't the hotel for you as it's quite far from hurghada.

Amazing and Relaxing

The resort is Amazing. A great place to relax whether alone or as a family. Great Animation team. Lots of activities for Kids. Wide variety of food. Good customer service. The resort is not far from the beach. Room is clean and specious. All in all, a good choice to spend a relaxing vacation there

Nice but not close to the beach

Air condition every where is very poor especially in the room, billiard room. Room lights are very dim. Front office staff are not professional (they requested me to pay 14% extra as taxis ) when I explained to them that taxis are included in expedia price given it took them too much time arguing & checking until they finally discovered they were wrong.

Aqua park vacation

Very nice hotel and huge resort. The beach is almost empty and not easy to enjoy on it need a group. But the aqua park is amazing. Regarding the staff they are very kind but not professional especially in restaurant.

Very high hotel , the most stupid frontoffice ever

The hotel is good ,and is good rated also , but there is no aqua park in this hotel , so you have to pay every day 150 egp everytime you attend , the hotel manager is very good manager and I really appreciate him but the front office manager and front office employee is the most stupid ever I see in the world , low stander of service , they are not helpful at all , they don't know good English , but inside the hotel service is 5 stars quality ,even food is very delicious

기대가 크면 실망감은 더 큽니다.

6월초 2박 일정으로 마카디 오아시스 리조트에 방문 했습니다. 공항에서 40분 가량 떨어져있고, 센조몰과 마트까지 가는데에는 20분 정도가 걸려요. 마카디 베이 비치에서 물고기를 많이 볼 수 있다는 점, 그리고 규모가 큰 워터파크를 갈 수 있다는 장점 때문에 선택했는데 결론적으로는 좋지 않은 선택이었습니다. 우선 리셉션 직원들이 친절하지 않고, 호텔의 기본적인 사항들도 제대로 전달 해주지 않았습니다. 호텔 큐알 코드를 찍었을 때 나오는 정보에 의존하기에는 내용이 충분하지 않다고 느꼈고요. 지금까지 여러 리조트들을 방문 했지만 이렇게 활기가 없는 직원들은 처음 봅니다. 방에 입실 하자마자 와이파이 신호가 약하다며 드릴로 벽을 뚫고 공유기를 설치하느라 분주했고, 이틀동안 현관 키를 두번이나 바꿔야 할 정도로 키 인식조차 제대로 되지 않았습니다. 필요한 사항이 있을 때마다 리셉션에 방문해야했으며 만족스런 대답을 얻지 못하는 경우가 많았습니다. 리조트존이 워낙 넓어 다른 리조트들과 식당을 공유하거나 다른 리조트의 쇼를 관람하는 등 리조트 존을 넓게 이용할 수 있다는것은 장점이 되기도, 단점이 되기도 합니다. 이정표만으로는 이동이 어려워 구글맵을 보며 방향을 찾아야 합니다. 마카디 해변은 예뻤지만 우리는 기대했던 물고기들을 볼 수는 없었고, 워터파크의 규모가 작지는 않았지만 아이가 없다면 굳이 그곳에 갈 필요는 없습니다. 성인들에게는 시시할 수 있습니다. 리조트 내에는 이용할 수 있는 식당의 수가 적고, (뷔페만 무료, 2박 이상의 경우 레스토랑 1회 무료) 스낵바도 4시까지만 운영하기 때문에 늦은 저녁이나 밤 시간에는 음료만 마실 수 있습니다. 유료옵션이 늘 있으니 잘 체크해보아야 합니다. 저는 다시 후르가다에 방문한다면 공항 근처쪽에 있는 리조트를 선택할 것 같습니다. 우선 거리가 멀어서 스쿠버나 돌고래 투어 등 많은 투어 업체들이 거리에 대한 추가 차지를 요구 하며, 에어컨이 나오지 않는 차를 타고 20분 이상 이동 하는것이 생각보다 너무 힘듭니다. 마지막으로 직원들이 항상 친절해야 하는것은 아니지만 리셉션에서 주는 인상이 그 호텔의 이미지를 결정할 수 있다는 사실을 명심했으면 좋겠습니다.
