Super nice property - and helpful staff! Great proximity to eating and shopping!!
Clean and spacious room for a short stay
We had an over stay at this hotel and it was lovely. The staffs waited for us at the train station to pick up our bags so we could continue our Machu Picchu tour after arriving in Aguas Caliente. Bed was bed and comfy and room was clean. Def recommend for a nice yet affordable stay!
I would choose this hotel again.
Near the nice restaurant and the breakfast they offered was great also
Great location
Excellent hotel in the centre of Aguas Calientes.
Hotel staff met us at the train station and guided us to the hotel, which was very nice, and answered all the questions we had about the surrounding area.
Muy bonito, limpio y comodo.
This is a nice hotel with a very good breakfast, friendly staff and large clean rooms. It gets VERY hot in the rooms so you can’t close the windows. We were river side and people are always outside yelling, laughing, cheering. Till after 2:00am! Very noisy!
Wonderful place. Very charming place. Near everything walking distance.
Best value in Machu Pucchu
Perhaps the best option in Aguas Calentes to stay. The staff was great and sent someone to guide us from the train to the hotel. There are rooms in the front and the back of the hotel. Turns out the rooms on the back "rooms that end in 10 like 410 or 510 are the ones with the best view." The town is clean, safe and easily walkable. Just be sure to bring your A-game to haggle for your souvenirs.
I felt like I was at a gorgeous ranch. Beautiful surrounded by mountains and flowers and overall beautiful
An expensive sinking ship - avoid!
Jaya markets itself as luxurious, but it isn't. Its facilities, amenities, and organisation are far inferior to nearby hotels who charge a fraction of the price. We were shocked to discover no basic appliances in our room: no bathroom ventilation fan, no bedside lamp, no closet light, no work desk, no electric kettle to boil water in your own room. We packed instant soup, but we couldn't cook it. We also found no basic welcome amenities such as facial tissue, lotion, or a dental kit. No bubble bath for that fancy Jacuzzi either. So why does Jaya charge so much more than 5-star hotels in Lima? Because its rating is inflated by well meaning travellers who don't realise they're being ripped off. During an all-night disturbance at the hotel, the hotel was useless. I called the front desk at 2am multiple times; then walked downstairs at 3am to ask in person if they might have some earplugs or eye covers I could use. No one was there. So much for a "24/7 Front Desk"! I must say that Jaya's staff did, when awake, try their best to minimise my disappointment; Santiago and Cesar are super kind! They responded as best as they could to find creative solutions the problems Jaya invites. I very much thank them. But even the best sailors can't save a sinking ship. I've communicated my complaints to the "Captain." Will she make the needed fixes? Time will tell. But if I were you, I wouldn't risk my vacation on the Titanic.
An expensive sinking ship - avoid!
During our stay, a village festival BOOMED until 4AM, a macho-man's obnoxious voice and lightning-like stage lights piercing through Jaya's "blackout curtains" all night long. But even the best sailors can’t save a sinking ship. I’ve communicated my feedback to the captain. Will she put the ship back on course? Time will tell. But if we’re you, I wouldn’t risk my vacation aboard the Titanic.
Excellent Service
In the heart of Aguascalientes Calientes and market and steps from train station
Large comfortable room
Nice family style hotel
Hotel is very closed to the train station, Machu Picchu bus and all restaurants. The room was bigger and better than expected. Breakfast was simple but there were options. I would rate the hotel 4*.
Paid for one of their premium rooms - panoramic view double. For a 3 star was quite expensive compared to other 3 star hotels and saw nice reviews so thought maybe that is why the price was high. However, i cant leave a good rating. The security box was broken so could not lock my belongings. First red flag. My phone in my room also did not work so had to go all the way down also very annoying. Pro’s - nice location. Con’s - not worth the extra costs.
We are very please with the service. Nice trip to Peru.
Very nice staff! Super friendly and helpful!
Pro: Cleanness and friendiness of the staff Con: NO WINDOWS in the room, or any ventilation system, even not in the shower or toilet room, and of course no air-condition or any system helps air flow. Opening you door to the hallway(which is also inside the building) is the only way to get air from inside the building. Extremely noisy, and the noise is caused by the hotel themselves. They hosted a party until 12:30am, and they started the loud music again 5AM in their kitchen in the morning!
VERY nice rooms, very close to train station, craft market, etc Nice hot showers. Good breakfast, with omelets. Super friendly and nice staff.
We usually stay at big brand hotels but there are none in Aguas Calientes. This hotel is beautiful, The room is large, the linens are high quality and the bed is brand new and super comfortable. The front desk worker even wrote us prior to our arrival and picked us up at the train station. We will be back! Lovely hotel!
Breakfast room is spectacular. Front rooms are highly preferred, soothing river and beautiful sight. Very helpfull staff, beautiful room. We requested 2 beds in nice suite, but this was prepared, we temp alternative and was fixed next day.
Only problem with our room was, there was no window in the room. You wont see natural light unless you go out.
It is a small property but the ppl are nice and trying to make it work for tourists. Great river view, thank you Jaya & Expedia for the upgrade! Loved the room and the breakfast views! It is a boutique hotel so there are little things that are missed but I would come back here for the nice service and the view we had!
Amazing Stay!!
Absolutely loved our stay at Jaya Machu Pichu. The staff were super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Really thankful for their hospitality and all efforts they had put to make our stay memorable! A special shout out to Victor at front desk who reached out few days before trip and helped us find an awesome tour guide arrange pick from train station and patiently answered all our questions. Would surely recommend this place. Gracias 🙏
Nice location and service
Great location to live in Aguas Calients, Near to the station and the bus stop for Machu Pichu.
Excellent Place to Stay
One of the best hotels and can stay in this hotel again
Cons: There is no VIP amenity provided Very loud, the party(?) ended at 10pm, you can hear them clearly even your room is not facing street Pros: Breakfast is great (but only one drink per person, I wanted to get a coffee and it is denied after ordered juice) Very close to train station
They were nice!
This hotel is perfectly located walking distance from everything in Machu Pichu pueblo. Staff is very gentle and professional. Facilities are clean and like brand new. Services are very good. Highly recommended
Lovely hotel. Clean, quiet, and relaxing. The front desk staff are very helpful and speak very good English. Fernando helped us get our loads of laundry sent out after our Inca trail hike. I’m very happy we chose to stay here after our 4 days on the trail. We needed the clean hot showers and the comfy beds! Thank you!
No windows in the room… overpriced!

Nice hotel
Very close to the train station (I guess all of them are “close” depending on your definition but this is just 2 minutes). We got a very good room with nice bed, jacuzzi, view of the town and the river, and staff were very welcoming too.
Very friendly front desk and breakfast staff, the food is very fresh, will certainly recommend to friends.
Got a really nice river view room on the highest floor, the room is clean and large, jacuzzi looks great, a lot of inca style decoration, substantial breakfast.
The staff is great, the breakfast starts at 5 am and has some (limited but okay) options. Room is a bit noisy (during the daytime). Cold but the staff gave a heater so temparature is okay. The room is overall clean BUT the bed sheet is not clean - we see dust and stains on that and we have to wear clothes for sleeping that night.
They gave me a room upgrade and it was a beautiful room with a mountain view and jaccuzzi tub.
I felt cared for from the moment I stepped off the train. There was someone waiting for me at the station and walked me up to the hotle. Check in was painless The room was beautiful and well appointed. Bed was comy but pillows could have been better. All in all a great experience and stay.
Beautiful accommodations at reasonable price. Staff were very accommodating when we experienced a difficulty with our booking. Free spa service came in handy after a long trip.
We loved the hotel and all the people taht work at Jaya. Thank you
Victor, Fernando and Cesar were absolutely amazing, friendly, they made my family experience unique, the hotel is clean and really convenient to get around, everything is close and bus to Machu Picchu is just 5 minutes walk. Awesome experience
Great location nice view over the river the staff was accomadating.
Loved that Jaya is right next to the river and away from the train. Friendly staff and great value. The bed was super comfortable!!
Aloha! I booked this last minute/ what a nice property..i booked bc another review mentioned the river / yes so nice to sleep next to &listen- breakfast was included/solid before my Machu Picchu visit..would stay again..
What a great and friendly place to stay!!
Such a great place to stay! The staff was so helpful and friendly. They let us leave our bags so we didn't need to carry them to MP and they let us hang out in the lobby until our train departure. So clean and close to everything! We really loved staying here and would really recommend it!!
Very disappointed. No lighting in hallways at night even after telling staff. Breakfast was minimal only bread and eggs offered. Coffee served cold and heated up in microwave. And worst of all, my son woke up with multiple bed bug bites on his arm. He slept on a single.
Cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff
Updated, very clean, beautiful view
It was very close from the train station and very near where the bus was to take you to Machu Picchu. The breakfast spot has an amazing view of all the surrounding mountains and is very good. Everyone is super friendly and helpful!
Staff greeted us at the train station.
So i left a poor review the 1st night I was there about check in, the next day they had the audacity to question me as to why I left a poor review. First of all, the guest is always right, second please DO NOT question my review as I was still staying there, its makes for a VERY uncomfortable stay. Upon check out was greeted with a thank you smirk (like your an a-hole). So thats my 2 cents.
Not worth the money
I am learning to skip the jacuzzi rooms because the jacuzzi tubs never work. The photos always look better than the actual property. The breakfast was like what would be given at a soup kitchen (bread, tea and a banana). The experience was lackluster and not at all worth the $85/n spent. The free massage was 15-mins. I didn't even bother with it because it would be a waste of my time and energy. The tub was small and leaked all over the floor. smh ugh!
It was a very friendly staff and the hotel was located very close to all the interesting tourist spots. We enjoyed our stay.
Great service in Aguas Calientes
Great stay before climbing up MachuPicchu with a relaxing jacuzzi option.
We hd a great time, the place was excelente
Ok for a night
Asked for a room overlooking the river, as we were celebrating a special anniversary. Instead we were given a view of the soccer field and giant blue roof. Horrible! The room itself was ok. We appreciated the 2 bottles of water and jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was small and left a bit to be desired. Front desk held our luggage until our train which was nice.
Nice but a little noisy.
This hotel was very nice. Our jacuzzi was broken in our room and leaked water all over the floor. And it was very noisy one morning as other people were leaving very early. But the room itself was nice.
Best in Aquas Cailentes
This hotel was amazing and is one of the best in the macchu picchu area. The room is very spacious and comfortable with an excellent view of the town and mountains. The breakfast and coffee provided was out of this world too! They allow a late check out for a very nominal fee. Service was great from check in to check out to any questions we had, whether they were hotel related or not.
What a gorgeous place! My room blew me away with spectacular views and everything I could have needed or wanted. The staff went above and beyond to help me at my trip had a few logistical bumps prior to my arrival and were hospitable and available throughout my entire stay! I would highly recommend staying here to anyone going to the area!
Come Stay at the Jaya!
Every thing about this hotel is first rate. I especially want to thank Elizabet for her help. Unfortunately, they closed Machu Picchu before we were able to answer. I wholeheartedly recommend the hotel Jaya. The cherry on top is their reasonable prices.
Clean, walking distance from railway station and restaurants.
Very good location, staff very nice. Very good option in Aguas Calientes.
Wonderful, central hotel for Machu Picchu visit
Really great hotel with amazing views from the large rooms and the rooftop restaurant. Excellent central location and the staff couldn’t be better. Thank you especially to Sebastian and Ali’s, who were so incredibly friendly and willing to help with any questions or requests that we had. We’d definitely stay here again.
Great Location, wonderful staff and value for money!
This was by far one of the nicest hotels we stayed at in Peru. The jetted bathtub was especially unique and we really appreciated it. I would definitely stay here again.
Staffs are very friendly, helpful, super nice and informative. Room set up beautiful, clean and practical. Loved the jacuzzi with a separate standing shower setting. Breakfast behind expectation. Strongly recommend this place.
A nice little hotel in a good location.
A nice recently renovated hotel near the train station and restaurants. Very good buffet breakfast. Friendly staff. Comfortable and clean room. Complimentary coffee machine in the lobby. Staff came to meet us at the train station.
Overall excellent, but the hot tub settings were a little difficult to control.
Amazing hospitality, beautiful and clean room and in the center of everything
Highly recommended to have a great experience at Aguas Calientes. Loved the suite we stayed at, it has all sort of amenities and the hotel's staff is just great. Thanks Sebastiàn for walking us through the hotel, all the tips and make of our stay even more special !
They prepared breakfast for us before we ascended Machu Picchu (had to leave hotel at 5 AM, so they had a paper bag breakfast waiting for us ) They also provided an umbrella when it rained, and we’re very helpful with all of our needs. I would highly recommend
Perfect location. Great rooms. Will stay again if I return to Aguas Calientes.
The hegel arranged a staff to wait for us at train station. Front desk staffs are friendly and helpful.
Love this hotel!
My stay at Jaya was amazing. The jacuzzi was exactly what i needed after doing the inca trail. Ricardo the receptionist was always friendly and accomodating and answered any questions i had. If ever i clme back tl machu picchu ill definitely stay here again!
Staff was fantastic! Very close to the train station and everything in town. Would definitely stay here again.
Great customer service, breakfast and location. Will stay here again.
Nice location
The location of the hotel is good, located closely to train station and bus station. The room is clean and spacious with a bath tub. But we arrived late in the night and had to go early in the morning, so we didn't use it. The view from the where we had breakfast is great. The staff is friendly and helpful.
I had great stay there. Staffs are great. Location of this hotel is really great. I would recommend this place.
Fabulous !!
Amazing hotel. friendly, kind and helpful staff. will highly recommend a stay here.
Pedro was amazingly helpful. Very polite and willing to go the mile to make us feel special. One night I wanted coffee and they had none in the lobby so this gent went up to the breakfast floor on the Seventh to get me one. Thanks Pedro.
After a 4 day hike to Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu, this hotel was a welcome relief! The room was very big, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower is also large and hot. The staff was also very nice and helpful. We even had a massage included in our stay, which was great! I would highly recommend this place.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff met us at the train station and took care of our bags. The room was large and very comfortable with a spa bath tub.
Fantastic service!
Amazing service, went above and beyond what I would normally expect to accommodate us during our trip to Machu Picchu. Would highly recommend!!
Really friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating. Great breakfast!
The breakfast staff was exceptional. The staff to meet the train was excellent. The Front desk woman(Angela), and gentleman staff that worked with her seemed Shady at times. They took USD's from us to stay late for a late check out, but wouldn't let us charge that to our room or provide a receipt. We also saw them talking about us at a restaurant they recommended to us. Based on just those two at the front desk I wouldn't recommend the property. If management made a change I Could see re-visiting. Carlos at breakfast was amazing!
Overall this is an excellent hotel. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is located within walking distance of the train station. I would stay here again.
Machu Picchu
Hotel staff was excellent! Great location and large comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. Very helpful with any request or needs. Highly recommend.
The front desk was amazing and everyone was very helpful in getting us to the hotel, making sure we had what we needed and even helping us find a quiet location for an impromptu meeting. They even helped us find our way to the train station so we could make our train. I felt really bad when I had run out of soles to tip!
Comfortable woth extremely welcoming and attentive service.
AMAZING HOTEL AND STAFF!!
We absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms facing the river have an excellent view. And I cannot say enough about each and every single staff member. The level of customer service is beyond extraordinary. They prepared a box breakfast for us since we were leaving to go up to Machu Picchu very early and would miss the complimentary breakfast included in our rate. The rooms are large and comfortable with an amazingly large walk in shower room. I would highly, highly recommend this hotel when staying in Aguascalientes (Machu Picchu).
Try to book the corner rooms. They have floor to ceiling windows & view either the soccer court or water falls. Staff very friendly & eager to assist.
Great place to stay
Very nice hotel and great service, close to station and excellent breakfast
Nice and convenient.
Very nice small property with friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast and convenient to everything. No AC in our 2 rooms but fans were provided. Very spacious honeymoon rooms. Pick up at train station with name is a great touch.
Very comfortable!
The hotel is in perfect condition but you can hear the noise from all the slamming doors since very early. All the staff were wonderful and the breakfast was great. They kept our bags while we went to Machu Picchu and came back.
Great breakfast in top floor restaurant with amazing views. Comfortable beds and convenient location.
