Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Incredible breakfast buffet!

Due to fabrication work at hotel, the smell from paint work affected our stay, great breakfast buffet spread, excellent services, definitely I will come back again

People were very friendly and eager to make sure your stay was pleasant. However the rooms( at least the one we're stayed in) was in poor condition, both showers were in disrepair. Water damage in bathrooms. String smell of sewage. They were clean enough but a little rough.

Could have better value for the money paid.

It was quite a good property; we stayed in the residences part of the hotel and the residence was OK so-so and didn't justify the price we paid, in terms of the decor and facilities. It was quite large and all, but didn't seem worth the S$325 we paid for one night.

I have stayed at Java for more than several years. I like the new lobby area after remodeling. Safe and near shopping mall. Good restaurant option

Service was excellent, food was also good. The place needs a facelift in the rooms, water out of the shower was cloudy. WiFi was a bit sketchy.

Very impressed with customer service. The expedia web site stated free airport transfer but when we contacted the property to arrange airport pick up, they sent an email with prices we would have to pay for the transfer. We replied saying it says it is included and they agreed to pay the airport to hotel transfer but we would have to pay the return trip to the airport. When we showed them the web site stating free transfers, they agreed to pay it both ways. The hotel was basic but nice. Walking distance to a mall.

Absolutely amazing hotel

We checked in around dinner and only stayed the one night, but it was a very luxurious accommodation. The staff was very nice and helpful. We also had dinner at the hotel that night and then breakfast the next morning before heading out and both were amazing. The breakfast had a huge selection of different foods to choose from and all were good. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good business stay in Surabaya

Have stayed here several times on business, excellent staff, nice gym and restaurants, comfortable beds. Rooms are worn, especially carpets and could use upgrading. Excellent breakfast buffett which is included.

Java Paragon Surabaya

Just ok...they are doing renovation in the lobby, and even if they try hard to please the customers, it was quite uncomfortable some evening smell the painting (quite strong) while having dinner. WiFi speed......really low speed. Saying that, me and my collegue we were about to extend 2 more weeks accommodation at Java Paragon, but when we were about to book with Hotel.com, the price for night was almost 3 times more expensive....I don't know if was Hotel.com or Java Paragon policy to increase the price that much, but defiantly (considering the above issue), wasn't right pay more than 80€ per night. We change to another hotel near by.....cheaper and so far better. Thanks for the attention Danilo

Value for money

stay 2nd time in 6 months. Service is acceptable... have to keep checking to ensure that requests are being understood and carried out... other than that, room was modern and comfortable, with a few restaurants catering to a variety of tastes.

All is well. Had a good experience in the hotel. Room was clean and the hotel is easily accessible to the public.

Good value, good service

I was attending a conference at the Shangri-La (which is directly across the very busy road – the security guards of both hotels are great: when you want to cross they get a little stop sign and shepherd you across). Java Paragon is not a five star hotel and parts of it are getting a little old but the staff are all super, really really kind, cheerful and helpful, which makes it all okay. Even when we had misunderstandings (which we did -- e.g. about vegetarian food, which is not so easy to find in a normal Surabaya hotel :) ) we would work it through with smiles. The pool is really nice and the gym looked good too. The bar, The Avenue, has decent enough pizza and there is a bakery and of course the restaurant. There is apparently also a bar on the 21st floor with a good view, but I only noticed this at the end of my stay. And Ciputra World shopping mall is walking distance, or a short cab ride, down the road. Go with an open mind and a smile and you will find a good value hotel, with everything you need, and staff who are prepared to go the extra mile for you – oh, and very good and inexpensive laundry service. If you go expecting five-star service, brand new linens and towels, etc, you will be disappointed.

Great Apartment Style Rooms

Five of us stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment and we really enjoyed our experience in this hotel. The bedrooms were clean and spacious, with each room having its own washroom. The apartment even had a spacious kitchen where you could cook any meal easily, though we did not make use of it much.

Unexpected surprise

Checked into the hotel late, bone tired. Booked a executive level room anticipating a really nice room. Well, nothing could be further from the truth. The room was dingy, carpet frayed, bath only provided towel, no face or hand cloth and no shampoo. The biggest surprise was a used devise (often used at one hour hotels) next to the stained chaise lounge. Needless to say, checked out the next morning to a hotel across the street.

Not the first time I have stayed at the hotel. It's a good business hotel, staff are very nice and the breakfast are very good.

Construction

There was a construction on the room next to mine early in the morning! The Hotel simply wrote me an apology letter with a plate of fruits, expected more, like a room upgrade.

Hotel with services reducing quality!

I remember whwn they just open, they give small tower and shower tower and full toilety. Now reduce to only 2 tower. And they did this to executive room. Really getting good to bad.!

Second time to stay at this hotel and I came back becasue the GM is very professional and he has trained his staff on wonderful customer service skills. The hotel is comfortable, though my room's carpet on the 17th floor could do with a really good carpet clean. There were no slippers in my room but as soon as I rang housekeeping they came up with a pair straight away.

Enjoyable stay at this spacious, clean and comfort apartment. The staff very warm welcome and accommodative to our need. The only minus point is no cooking appliances even though there's a kitchen.

The services apartment is really great, clean, spacious, the feel is like home sweet home. The only minus point is the services apartment did not provide enough utensils and no cooking appliance even though there is a kitchen inside. It would be perfect if the management consider to provide the cooking appliance and additional utensils if the guest are request for it.

Comfortable hotel and friendly staff

I had a commercial fair in the Shangri La hotel, so choose to stay directly across from that hotel. This was the first time I had used the Java Paragon and I would stay again. The staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was a problem. The breakfast and dinner was very good, especially the Indonesian dishes. No complaints except the bathroom is very dark for females putting on make-up? Not a biggy.

The hotel is in need of refurbishment as everything is very old and tired. Food and restaurants are fine. House keeping is not good enough.

Gymが充実しているので、スラバヤに来た時は何時も利用しています。プールも大きくて深くて本格的に泳ぎたい人はおススメです。滞在した両日は2機しかないエレベーターの１つが修理中で、待ち時間が長かったのが残念でした

宿泊費を支払済みだったため、ランドリーサービスを頼むと毎日代金のキャッシュ払いを求められ、手間だった。チェックアウト時に精算できないのでしょうか？

ホテル周辺にはショッピングモールやコンビニが一つあり、車で3分程の所にマクドナルドがあります。ホテルのタオルは1種類でバスタオルしかありません。ドライヤー、シャンプー、コンディショナーはありますが、歯ブラシとボディローションが無かったです。 部屋はダブルベッドを要求したので、広くてゆったり使うことが出来ました。

リ-ズナブルな中級ホテル

朝の食事、プ－ル、ジムなどは平均点以上。しかし部屋は、簡素な造り、シャワ－のみ、 決して高級ではありません。仕事などでの使用をお勧め、観光ではいい思い出は、できないでしょう。正面にシャングリアホテルあり。そちらの方がいいでしょう。近くに大きなショッピングセンタ－あり。吉野家や、日本食のレストランあり。日本のイオンのようなショッピングｾﾝﾀ-。 冷蔵庫は、あるが電気も通じてなく中にはなにも入っていなかった。 朝食付きでなくとも３０%引きで１，０００円程度で朝食を取れた。 お仕事で行く場合チョイスしてもいいのでは？

A nice hotel with excellent service!

I stayed only one night in a suite room. The room was nice and spacious. Minibar was filled and for free. The executive lounge is a bit simple but the staff very helpful and happy to serve. All in all a perfect stay. I will come back!

プールが広くて深くてとても良い。サウナも快適。隣のモールも多くのレストランがあり快適です。

禁煙ルームを予約してたのに、チェックイン時に何故か禁煙ルームが埋まっており、喫煙ルームになったのが残念でした。
