Great Location and Host

Ivana's B&B is in an excellent location. It is walking distance to the sites as well as great restaurants (and gelato!). Note that it is a B&B, but you are left to yourself once checked in. Ivana was great and helped me with free street parking, which can be a hassle if you're not local!

Convenient location, homey feel

The access into the courtyard is a little tricky. It has a facade wall that leads into a courtyard, and no one was picking up the call button for the B&B. I had to wait for someone to come through from another residential apartment and they let me in. Once in, I waited about 1/2 hour before a kind gentleman opened up the B&B and he even carried my suitcase up the 2 flights of stairs because the elevator wasn't working. (so nice!) Once inside it feels like a homey, kinda well lived-in apartment. It felt completely safe with other residents there as you have your own locked room and your own private bathroom. You have to access three different keys for entry each time, but it was easy once you got the hang of it. It was a little chilly while I was there, but the heater worked great. The room itself is rather spacious. Besides the bed, it has a desk, TV, wardrobe to hang clothes, 2 side end tables and a small area with double windows to look out over the street. They serve you breakfast each morning. The only recommendation I would give is they should update their bedding as it seemed too worn out, otherwise it was a great place to stay for the convenience of walkability of the city and the cost.

At first when i booked the apartment i wasnt too sure because im used to hotels but i have to say i cant fault it. The owner ivana was very welcoming treating me not only as a guest but like a family member welcomed me to her home offered me a lovely room, showed me what to do in catania and also where to eat. Lovely big size room good air con and nice art work. Shower big enough too.

Great stay in central Catania

I stayed 4 days. Staying was amazing, super comfortable as location, close by short walk to all, very clean and quiet. Ivana's welcome was really warm. She is keen in giving tips and help if any question. She is very flexible in all the requests including check out. I definitely recommend this location for a good stay in central Catania. Thanks Ivana.

Comfortable and convenient accommodation.

Behind unprepossing street facade,this provides very comfortable accommodation. Ivana is an excellent,caring and accommodating host. Accommodation is in an active family environment but there is excellent separation from the delightful family. Room is spacious with adjacent sitting room. Cleanliness is impeccable. Breakfast is typical Italian. Location is very good mid-way between the railway station and the centre (cathedral) of the city both less than 15 minutes easy walk away. There are plenty of eating possibilities very close by ranging from simple bites to trattoria to fine fish restaurant linked to the BnB. Payment is by cash only - no credit card facility. In all,a very happy place to stay.

Very warm family home, a stone throw away from Teatro Bellini. Ivana with other guess, family, and friends makes you feel welcome and part of the family and Sicilian experience. Warm and sunny.

Great hostess

The lady in charge was incredibly nice and helpful with great suggestions for sightseeing and food. She prepared a great breakfast including fruits, yogurts, nuts, cereals, eggs etc. She is very well traveled and i really enjoyed speaking with her. I met some nice people there at breakfast from italy and spain. The room was big and the common room was huge. Great location. Close to cathedrals and markets and bus and train station

Nice Place

Place a little hard to find due to the scaffolding. Was able to park the motorcycle when unpacking. Street parking was close by. Nice big room, and bathroom. Though shower curtain should be 360. There is a knack to opening the front door of the building ;) A bit of a walk to the main sights, with restaurants everywhere!

My stay was good. The room was so comfortable and clean.

A Pleasant Surprise

Ivana was the perfect host, very helpful with welcomed hospitality, breakfast was fully appointed, coffee ready on request :) The room was very spacious, clean and with a small terrace from which to the left could be seen the beautiful Teatro Massimo Bellini, location wise very close to the main walking streets and about a 10 minute walk from Catania Central Station. Extremely cost efficient for a large room w/ bathroom, Air conditioned w/t.v. and wifi... a pleasure all and all. Gracie tutti Ivana

Good place to stay in Catania

Good price, big room with washer, nice breakfast, and friendly owner.

The right price.

The stay was a quick two nights on route to Syracuse. The lady was balancing running a B&B with child care commitments. All aspects were as the price reflected, basic including breakfast.

B&B at a good location for reasonable price”

Ivana is a really nice lady. She was flexible with arrival times and can arrange pickup from the airport. She even helped us with our lost luggage. The room was very spacious and clean. The B&B is close to the city centre, surrounded by restaurants and fast food places. We can highly recommend the pannini place just on the other side of the street. The breakfast is minimal and not really organised, more or less self serviced. PS: There is a friendly cat living in the B&B. :)

Nice place, good price.

The place is well located very close to the city centre and to the main train/bus station so it's easy to visit other towns outside Catania. The staff was really nice and polite. Always a smile and good service. Highly recommended.

great location but loud

The location is great and the host is very kind. She was double booked and we only stayed 1 night and we're moved to anouther B and B. I only rated this slightly lower than I normally would because of the noise. The rooms over look a beautiful square that the Opera house is located at. Very scenic during the day but at night the bars drag there tables and chairs into the square and the party starts until about 4:00 am. Either ear plugs should be worn or get up and join the festivities.

Great value B&B in a perfect location

Ivana's B&B is a great little place in a traditional block of flats. Nothing to special from the outside, but lovely inside. Rooms are very large, clean and have all the key facilities. Included is en-suite, aircon, wifi, tv and breakfast. It's in the perfect location a short walk to main sites, bars and restaurants. The airport bus and bus/train stations are close. Ivana is a great host who will do her best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. As B&b's go this has everything you need and is good value for money. There is no sign for the Bnb so look for no 10 opposite a pedestrian area and a big gate. Ivana has a buzzer and will come let you in.

I would go back again!

Ivana was great... friendly and enthusiastic. Plenty of food on the table for breakfast. The street was a little noisy, but it is, after all, in the center.

Ideale ligging in het drukke stadscentrum

Ideaal gelegen in het centrum vrijwel alles op loopafstand. De beheerder biedt ook een transfer naar de luchthaven. Omdat het in het centrum ligt is het wel enigszins lawaaierig. Uitzicht vanuit de kamer op de beroemde opera van Bellini

Lovely B&B

It is family B&B, and Ivana's family was really nice and adorable!! I felt really comfortable here... The room was big and clean, and everything that I needed was provided. The heater was also powerful, so I could stay warm in my room..I enjoyed my staying here! Location was nice, too. Duomo and Bellini theater are near this B&B. Also, the train station and bus terminal are not far from here. I hope to stay here again if I go to Catania again :)

Come a casa mia

Posto logisticamente eccellente, a piedi si possono raggiungere molte destinazioni interessanti. Inoltre la disponibilità e la gentilezza dei 2 proprietari è senza fine. Assolutamente raccomandato, personalmente ci tornerò di sicuro la prossima volta che sarò a Catania.

The owner is very kind. The location is quite convenient (near bus stop to go to the airport). Good enough to stay for transit before travelling/leaving Sicily.

Come a casa!!

Il b&b Ivana si trova al centro di Catania in un palazzo storico. A 2 minuti dalla fermarta del bus per chi arriva dall' aeroporto. Le camere sono spaziosissime con alti soffitti in parte decorati. Camera e bagno molto puliti, presenti tv wifi aria condizionata. Il soggiorno comprende anche la colazione con the caffe succhi di frutta yogurt cereali fette biscottate marmellata e frutta. Ivana è molto simpatatica e disponibile e avendo il volo in tarda serata mi ha permesdo di restare nell' area comune.Lo consiglio a tutti...in pieno centro e a 15 minuti con i mezzi pubblici dal mare. Sicuramente ci ritornerò!!

Es un buen hostal,asequible,en pleno centro de Catania. La Sra es un encanto y muy amable. Se ofreció a llevarnos a la estación en su coche.Recomendable

La proprietaria del B&B è molto gentile, senza essere invadente. Siccome avevo l'aereo molto tardi la sera mi ha dato la possibilità di trattenermi nella stanza oltre l'orario del check out, dato che non c'erano per quella data altri ospiti in arrivo. Ovviamente questo favore mi ha fatto molto piacere e molto comodo.

Gutes B&B fürnden kleinen Geldbeutel

Das äussere Erscheinungsbild ist erschreckend , aber innen , es war wohl mal eine große Wohnung ? In der Diele Ansammlung von Kitsch . Das Zimmer aber schön groß und minimalistisch , wohl etwas afrikanisch mit Rattanmöbeln eingerichtet , TV und Wlan vorhanden . Das Bett groß und sauber , die Matratze sehr gut . Badezimmer sauber und man hat alles was man braucht , sogar ein Bidet , auch sehr sauber . Auf meine Frage wann es Frühstück gibt wurde 7°° Uhr gesagt . Ich war 7!! Uhr da , sonst keiner , kam auch niemand . Es war eingedeckt aber es gab nichts außer ein paar Keksen , auf die ich aber verzichtet habe , fuhr dann eben ohne Kaffee zum Airport

Super séjour chez Ivana ! La chambre était très spacieuse, toujours propre et le petit déjeuner quotidien copieux et délicieux. Ivana nous a accueillies chaleureusement et nous as tout de suite donné un plan de la ville avec les lieux historiques. L’hotel est situé au cœur de la ville et il y fait vraiment bon vivre. Nous avons passé un séjour excellent !

Esperienza molto positiva... da Ivana è come sentirsi a casa propria! Tutto molto easy e accogliente... solo un pó rumoroso nel fine settimana, compresibile considerata la posizione centrale e la vicinanza a numerosi lacali! Stra... consigliato!

Нам досталась большая комната в коммунальной квартире. Обслуживанием занимается очаровательная женщина, подруга хозяйки квартиры. С другими гостями мы ни разу не столкнулись. В нашей комнате была индивидуальная ванна со всем необходимым. Завтрак нам накрыли в большой, полностью оборудованной кухне. Завтрак для Италии был хорошим, но мужчинам наверное будет недостаточно одних булочек, хлопьев и йогурта. Хотелось бы, чтобы меню было хоть несколько кусочков колбаски. Вечером захотели перекусить в номере, хозяйка сразу выдала всю необходимую посуду. Жилище нас удивило росписью на потолке и антикварной мебелью. Жили как в музее)) Расположение дома великолепное, до всех достопримечательностей ходили пешком. Рекомендую однозначно

La posizione è buona, una diecina di minuti a piedi sia dalla stazione centrale di Catania che da piazza duomo. La sigora Ivana è molto cordiale e prepara una buona prima colazione.Sono rimasto abbastanza soddisfatto.

Ivana ist eine sehr zuvorkommende und herzliche Vermieterin. Als ich relativ spät zur Unterkunft kam , hat sie sogar mit Pasta gewartet, da sie sich dachte das ich hungrig bin. Die Pasta war ausgezeichnet. Da ich sehr viel Reise und schon viel gesehen habe - kann ich diese Unterkunft nur sehr empfehlen - Die Zimmer inklusiv Badezimmer sind extrem sauber :-) und sehr geräumig. Ich als alleinreisende Frau komme sicherlich wieder in Ivana`s B&B da ich mich dort sehr Wohl gefühlt habe. Ivana, solltes du das zu lesen bekommen - nochmals Danke für alles :-)

Das Zimmer lag leider über eine sehr vom Autoverkehr belastete Strasse. Sowohl Tags als Nachts war der Lärm grade so erträglich. Manchmal hat das Zimmer, bei geschlossenem Balkon, nach Abgase gerochen

No se trata de un hotel propiamente dicho sino de un piso muy grande y antiguo en el centro de Catania con habitaciones y espacios comunes. Tiene mucho encanto pero es muy ruidoso

Ottimo

Esperienza più che positiva. Ivana è una persona molto disponibile, un piacere incontrarla al mattino presto con i suoi due figli stupendi. Il B&B è molto confortevole, ho alloggiato in una stanza ampia con bagno privato, dalla pulizia impeccabile, aria condizionata, scrivania, armadio. Colazione abbondante, cucina (bellissima) pienamente accessibile. L'unico neo potrebbe essere la vicinanza, data la centralità della struttura, a dei locali che, durante il week-end, restano aperti fino a tardi. Ma personalmente ci ho convissuto senza alcun problema. Da segnalare che nelle immediate vicinanze c'è il centro storico, la fermata dell'Alibus "Cutelli", mediante il quale è possibile raggiungere l'aeroporto in 15 minuti.

B&B in zona centrale

B&B in ottima posizione, molto strategica, a due passi dal centro città e dalla stazione centrale. Proprietaria cordiale e gentile. Qualche piccolo rumore per via dei locali nelle vicinanze, ma dalle 23.30, 24 smettono, quindi nessun problema.

Sehr familiäres B&B

Das Hotel hat ne Super Lage, WLAN war sehr praktisch. Am meiste angemacht hat mich die Rustikale Küche mit Gasherd. Für jeden der gerne kocht und den grandiosen Fischmarkt in Catania zu schätzen weiß, ist dieses B&B ein Traum. Zutaten konnte ich einfach von Ivana nehmen. Einziges Manko: Ich habe in den 7 Tagen Aufenthalt kein Zimmerservice bekommen. War mir persönlich nicht so wichtig, da ich eh meistens Biken oder andersweitig unterwegs war.

La vicinanza del teatro Massimo Bellini rendeva la zona ben frequentata.

Prima locatie, warm onthaal

Heb een erg prettig verblijf gehad hier. Ivana zelf was er niet, maar de dame die haar verving heeft ontzettend goed voor me gezorgd. Met name de tips om de omgeving beter te leren kennen, waren erg fijn. Enige nadeel was de gehorigheid van de straat en het relatief harde bed.

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja. Zarówno pokój jak i łazienka duże i czyste. Dobry sygnał WiFi. Podczas śniadania można korzystać z lodówki właścicieli, więc "czym chata bogata". Jest wędlina, ser, jogurty, soki, owoce.

Immer gern wieder

Bin toll begrüßt worden, das Zimmer war sehr gut und das eigene Bad ist für B&B extragut - das Frühstück von Ivana ist echt ein Highlight - gern nehm ich das Zimmer wieder mal - auch wegen der zentralen Lage.
