Highly Recommend!

I was in Shanghai for business and had a fantastic stay at the Irene Boutique Hotel. The rooms are clean and well kept, the beds are comfortable, the showers have good water pressure and the rooms are air conditioned. The hotel offers a tasty breakfast every morning and the front desk is able to accommodate foreign travelers. Excellent location near all types of shops, restaurants and the subway. I'll definitely be back my next trip.

Great Location, friendly staff!

The staff was very friendly and nice with helping you find things in the area. The beds are a little hard, and the rooms are a bit small, but we didn't spend much time in there so it was perfect for us. The hotel is located just 1 block from the metro and perfect for touring the city. There are several good places to eat, shop, and get coffee right next to the hotel. The hotel room had air conditioning, and a nice spacious bathroom. We did the family room for my husband and brother as we were visiting family in the city. I recommend bringing a pad of your own (like a camping pad) if you are worried about beds being hard in China, as many of them were. This hotel had down comforters and overall a lovely experience. The staff was amazing, we only ate the breakfast 1 day and it was noodles, rice pudding, cabbage, and breads. Not too bad.

The staff is very frienly and the breakfast is good. The MRT station is very near just 200m away, very convince.

Clean basic hotel

Clean basic hotel in suburb conveniently close to shopping mall with carrefour supermarket. Basic chinese breakfast with no fruit and artificial "orange" juice. Very helpful staff.

xinzhuang (minhang) has it all

Nice hotel to MRT Station

Location of the hotel is very convenient to public transportation and also shopping mall and food area. Environment of the hotel is comfortable and clean. Service is also very good. The breakfast is also very nice to have.

don't waste your money and your time in this hotel

my stay was very bad my flight was delayed I arrived to the hotel after midnight I found the front desk had someone using my room so they kept me till they empty it The room was dirty . There is no signs in english with the hotel name out side the restaurant is fake all what they had 4 boiled eggs and a few steel bread

good price ok hotel

The hotel is located within walking distance of a major subway station. But the neighborhood is a typical suburban area of China, a lot of constructions and a lot of people who moved from the rural to the urban. Subway line is right besides the hotel. So, it can be very noisy if your room is on the front side of the building. There are many small business and restaurants on another side of the building. So, it is convenient in day time but bad at night. The room is clean but very small. It can be a problem if bringing in a large luggage. The wall between rooms is very thin. I can clearly hear people next door talking and laughing which makes me hard to sleep. Staff members are friendly. Overall, it is good for the price and for a short stay. But I would not recommend for people who will stay more than 3 days.

Excellent stay

Irene Boutique Hotel / Jinshu Hotel provides old fashioned warmth and modern convenience. The breakfast is great with daily congee, rice, pasta and egg dishes. The rooms are cozy and clean. The staff is friendly, welcoming and capable. The wifi in the rooms is good, with the expected fb restrictions in PRC. Even laundry service is available. I'll be back.

Good stay experience

In general,I would give a good rating to this hotel: staff is friendly, the price is good comparing to the service given.There is great variety for breakfast. The only thing is that the free Wifi is very slow.It is impossible to navigate the internet. Winchat seems to work though.

Cozy place in a big city.

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, mostly Chinese style, very clean place, convenient to metro number 1, good wifi throughout including the room.

Visiting relatives

Great little hotel with pretty good complimentary breakfast. The staff was really nice but can't speak any English so try to learn a little bit of phrases & it goes a long ways in China! The hotel is little bit hard to find bc it's located on a small one way street off a main street. I had to call the hotel and give my phone to the taxi driver so the hotel can give directions.

handy to metro and shopping

This hotel is difficult find by road as google maps has it located about 1 klm away . but very easy from metro . The rooms are a bit small but a good big bed so excellent value overall. The staff were excellent very helpful especially after a difficult time locating it .

Terrible choice

This hotel seemed to cater hourly rates as well, so you can imagine the clientele. The pillow case was unwashed, stank of men hair oil. Door could not be locked from outside!

Queens of Shanghai

The hotel has everything needed from breakfast to laundry. The staff is friendly and enjoys practicing their English or helping you practice your Chinese. The breakfast has some nice choices of fried vegetables varying daily, and congee, baozi, bread, and hard boiled eggs every day. I got my laundry done and delivered to my room for only 10 renmbi. The room is modern and clean with a nice big bed, tv, desk & chair, all inside and a nice clean bathroom and shower. It is a little cramped having all this in a small area, but I was able to get my work done on the desk, and the room had a nice view. I compare the Xinzhuang neighborhood to Queens, NY. It has everything, and the center of town (Manhattan or downtown Shanghai) is only a 40 minute subway ride away. The hotel is very convenient to the Xinzhuang 1 line station. Just exit from the North side of the station, take the ramp to the left, and after going down the ramp continue straight past the huge bicycle parking lot on the right to the hotel, also on the right.

You get what you pay for.

Hotel is located very close to a metro station. However, neighborhood is not that nice. Hotel staff is friendly, but cannot communicate in English properly. They have to use online English translator to communicate with you. So, it better is you have a Chinese translator too. Includes a typical Chinese breakfast. Overall, you get what you pay for.

Home away from home in Shanghai

I was very impressed with the hotel. The hotel has a warm secure atmosphere, including an excellent breakfast and a location near a park which is an excellent place to run in crowded Shanghai. The hotel is well maintained and clean. The room is small, clean and cozy. The address was difficult to find without the following instructions: Take the #1 Metro to the Xinzhuang station (last stop, also last stop on #5), At the Xinzhuang station go to the North Exit and facing the jumbo tv screen there exit down the stairs to the left, and continue walking in that direction for two blocks, past the mother of all bicycle parking lots on the right to the hotel on the right.

Mi esposa y yo tuvimos una estadía fantástica. Todo el personal del hotel fue muy amable y siempre estuvo a disposición cuando lo necesitamos. El desayuno era muy abundante y delicioso. Se lo recomiendo a cualquier persona que quiera ir a pasar sus vacaciones en la maravillosa ciudad de Shanghai.

1층 골목을 바라 보는 방! 소음 많고! 시끄러움

酒店位置靠近辛庄地鐵站，步行可達，附近交通配套不錯。可惜附近的地鐵軌道沒有加裝隔音屏障，令早上及晚上11時的聲噪較大，這個不是酒店的問題。不過選此酒店時，需要考慮入住的目的及逗留的時間。

臨近地鐵站.附近又有商場可逛.

Fehlender Kleiderschrank, besseres Toilettenpapier, Teppichboden im Zimmer erneuern. Frühstück 7.30-9.00 Uhr, ab 8.00 war manches schon vergriffen und wurde nicht mehr nachgelegt. Ein Toaster wäre sehr angenehm.

Small but cozy.

Quite small room but got almost everything except razors. Helpful staff. Breakfast is all right. Location is great with supermarkets and convenient stores nearby. No elevator. Bistros on the same street are great. Have to log on wifi every day.

最寄り駅のシンザン（地下鉄1号と5号を結ぶ駅）から近く、非常に便利。 フロントでは、英語でのチェックインも可能。 飲食店は、ホテルの並びにもいくつかあり、コンビニも大通り沿いにある。 ホテルの並びにある焼肉屋が混んでいた。 西側へ少し歩けば、繁華街もある。 駅の反対側にも、それなりに店がある。 室内に関しては、目立った汚れはないが、ベットがやや硬い気がした。

スタッフフレンドリーだが、、、

部屋にペットボトル水ほしい、夜中2:00着なので、コンビニにも行きにくい 部屋の前に下着とかランドリー？？？スタッフの部屋なのか？女中べやのよう。寝るだけだから我慢した。ど疲れてたので、、、部屋の床も汚すぎて。タクシードライバーも、場所が、わからないようで毎回説明に四苦八苦。

出張には最適

古さの感じるホテルですが、スタッフも親切でとてもアットホームな感じのホテルです。 清掃もそれなりにきちんとしてくれますし、朝食も簡単ですがお粥、炒め物、パン、卵等があり美味しかったです。

駅から近い線路沿いのホテル

地下鉄1号線の終点駅から徒歩2分程のとても便利なホテルです。周りにはいろんな種類のお店もあり、大型ショッピングモールも徒歩圏に有ります。駅ビルの再開発中で、より便利になると思います。ホテルスタッフも親切で、英語が通じました。浦東空港からのバス停も、徒歩圏に有ります。
