Very nice property, a great place to stay at when visiting Chiang Mai. The pool helps relax. Breakfast has huge variety, and sitting in the garden in the morning with some coffee was a great way to start your day.

Family stay

The location was convenient for activities in chiang mai, the decor was beautiful and the service was very good and friendly. The layout of the hotel rooms was not well thought out. We paid extra for a club level Mountain View room but the view was just ok, the room was small, the bathroom was tiny with only a single vanity and there was no balcony. We expected rooms to be more spacious as it is not a big city environment. The layout was also not thoughtful as the bed was floating in the middle of the room with an open closet behind it and that was just a waste of space. There was a large tub in the bathroom that took up a lot of space and they would be better off having a double vanity with no tub.

Location was great Hotel rooms spacious but not very clean Breakfast was rather underwhelming, quality of food was rather disappointing Had a cocktail on the rooftop btt it was a challenge to get a seat even as a hotel guest and the venue 2/3’s empty. Just an ok stay.

Stayed for 2 nights; very nice hotel, very clean and comfortable! Spacious washroom with beautiful tub & shower w/ rain shower head. We loved the location - easy walk to old city centre and to the night market. Concierge was very helpful in arranging a private tour for while we were in town which was perfect for our needs. Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely one of the best hotels to stay in Chiang Mai. Couldn’t have stayed at a better one nor could the service have been any better.

The Intercontinental was a great stay while we were in Chiang Mai. The room was nothing but exquisite. The location was in a great location, but it didn’t look safe (I’m sure it would be) but a great location for the Night Market as well as the proximity to the many many temples in the Old City. A definite must stay for those coming to Chiang Mai and if it fits your budget.

Amazing property and staff

There was severe flood in the area when we visited. Normal cars couldn’t get to the hotel. So the hotel arranged a big truck to get us to non-flooded area where our taxis was waiting to take us to the airport. We got to the airport safe and on time thanks to the hotel staff’s thoughtfulness and help. Five star review for this hotel.

Overall very good . Staff was excellent and location convenient. Two cons though, bathroom counter space is constrained . Also , for my room the wall to the next room was thin and thus heard noise from neighbors.

Everything is good for stay. Breakfast is served from 6:30, but it would be nice if it was served a little earlier.

This hotel is absolutely stunning. The rooftop balcony has amazing views of the city. The food at the restaurant was a little pricey and okay. My only complaint was the bathroom has zero counter space and was really crowded. Aside from that the room and hotel are amazing. I would stay here again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the newly opened InterContinental hotel, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the grand lobby, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for my entire stay. The hotel's architecture and interior design are simply stunning, blending modern elegance with cultural influences that reflect the city's heritage. Every corner exudes sophistication and attention to detail, creating an ambiance of luxury that is unmatched. My room was nothing short of magnificent. Tastefully decorated and equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, it provided the perfect sanctuary after a long day of exploring the city. The plush bedding ensured a restful night's sleep, and the panoramic views of the city were breathtaking.

The hotel and the property were stunning. The staff from the moment they picked me up at the airport was excellent. When arriving at the property there was a gorgeous fountain in the front of the hotel! They picked me up in a beautiful black Mercedes SUV, and had cold water and snacks waiting for me inside the vehicle. The staff treated my guest and I like royalty. They opened the doors, gave us a tour of the hotel and walked us through the suite! It was a 5 star experience at every turn. The surrounding area was not as luxurious as the hotel and the grounds, but I never felt u safe. There was a security guard posted out at the gate 24 hours a day. I had a little fall as I was leaving the hotel property ( but still on the property ) and the security ran over immediately to make sure I was ok and asked me if I required any assistance, which I did not. They literally took care of everything for us. This is the kind of 5 star experience one expects from a Hotel like this and they did not disappoint. If I find myself in Chiang Mai I. The future, this Intercontinental is the only place I’d consider staying. If you’re considering this hotel for your holiday, DO IT. You won’t be disappointed, I know I wasn’t. And I can be very picky. I have ZERO complaints and wouldn’t have changed a thing. Thank you to the entire staff at the Intercontinental Chiang Mai for making my birthday trip so amazing. This was by far the best Intercontinental I have ever had the privilege of staying at.

Incredible service in a great new Intercontinental

This is a fantastic property opened in Nov 2023. Great location and impeccable property only exceeded by the fantastic quality of their personnel. We’ve stayed in many 5-star properties around the world (Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, Kempinski, etc) and nothing equals the quality of the people at this hotel: greeting us by name and eager to help with every aspect of our four-day visit. Special kudos to Doi and Noon at the concierge desk and Jick and the entire food and beverage team. I wish all hotels could be like this! The wonder is how they’ve accomplished this level of excellence in five short months!

We reached InterCon The Mae Ping a little before 4pm. Check in with Ms Nui was smooth and were assigned 14/F which I later mentioned that it's unlucky for Asian guests, esp around CNY. We had their complimentary afternoon tea @ Kam Lobby Lounge served from 1430 to 1630 and have to say it was not fantastic especially the scones were nowhere near what they should be--but like bread. What was worse, they served scones with whipped cream. When I asked for clotted cream, none had any idea what it is. If it were 3-4 star hotel I would understand, but it is InterCon and certainly this is very substandard. The homemade jam was a dullish slop and tasted bland. Ordered low fat milk cappuccino and it arrived lukewarm. Asked for skimmed milk and again they had none. The afternoon tea arrived not in three-tier stand but on 2-3 separate plates, and none of the sandwiches, pastries or savoury sweet bites were tempting enough for an encore. The staff were all very keen to offer good service. Yet the mediocre food and drinks was a let down. Our bathroom leaked and flooded the entire floor cos there's a big wide gap at the bottom of the shower door. Air-con was noisy and no sockets in bathroom for shaver and electronic toothbrush. Hairdryer was found outside not in the bathroom drawer. The disastrous part was the ceiling that started leaking and dripping that two technicians came up at midnight to fix. Lobby bathroom has handbasin in each cubicle but no hand towel, so floor had drips.

Courteous, Attentive, Efficient with friendly approachable genuine personalities. Nothing is too much trouble and every request is taken responsibly even if not in their immediate workscope. Always have time to help/solve your request or issue with a smile. The Chief Concierge, Doi and his team are to be commended, very knowledgeable for tours suggestions and influential when you seek to book into popular restaurants in short notice 🙏 A Truly 5 Star service and accomodation international standard…a well n professionally trained staff, a credit to management 👍👍👍
