Forced to upgrade just to get a non-smoking room

Requested a non-smoking room, but the hotel said they didn't have any more non-smoking rooms for our reserved room type. As a result, we were forced to pay extra to upgrade our room just so we can get a non-smoking room.

Huge hotel inside a great mall

Large elegant room. All rooms are terrace style inside an enclosed giant mall. The mall has supermarkets, water parks, amusement park and shopping. Excellent food. Weekend BBQ buffet has a roast lamb.

the location is great and the building is amazing, right in front of water park, great for family vacation. the Lobby is super fancy with huge Christmas tree and coach. food is good as well.

Intercontinental hotel Chengdu Global Centre

An amazing experience. Wonderful staff who were so helpful and willing to learn English The room was luxurious. The food was delicious and the environment was appealing We would definitely return for another stay The Food Court Manager, Roy, personalized our stay by sending a platter of fruit and cakes to our room on the last evening. 10/10

Everything but WiFi

It's hospitality all the way along. Wonderful room and super good water park. Only thing is the WiFi doesn't seem to fast (150 KB/s when I used) and not too stable as well.

Great hotel, will come back again!

I was impressed by the hotel's condition and the sheer size of it. Great breakfast and pool area too. It's a bit away from the city centre but close to exhibition area. The only thing they could improve is the check in, it will be more systematic if they can have a single queue line.

Great Rooms..

A resort and water park with plastic palm trees inside a huge dome. Would be great for a holiday but for a business trip not so sure. Having said that the rooms were great.Breakfast run of the mill with limited options.

Great to hotel to stay in Chengdu

Very nice hotel - lot of place to walk and the attached mall with good priced restaurants. Most of the restaurants in the Global Center mall does not take VISA, Mastercard and AMEX! Very few ATM machines

Nice hotel with gracious but uninformed staff

There was nothing wrong with this hotel. Comfortable room and bathroom with all the amenities one would want. Location was good for me because it was the location of a conference I was attending. Otherwise, it may be a bit out of the way for most. Chengdu is a big city with heavy traffic. To compensate, taxis are inexpensive. Biggest complaint and frustration was with the staff. They are all lovely and friendly, but with limited English and a surprising lack of knowledge about their city and the things to do there. A request to arrange a volunteer experience at a panda reserve was met with puzzled looks and three hours of discussion and confusion among four staffers at the concierge desk. Chengdu is known for two nearby panda research facilities so it was stunning to realize the staff didn't have a clue about how to make this happen. Even a request to arrange a car for an outing was met with the suggestion that we take cabs. So, stay at this hotel if it is convenient for your activity in Chengdu, but make sure you have made your excursion and outing plans before you arrive.

huge pool but only two tickets per room

I stayed the hotel just because of the pool. However, the hotel gives you only two free tickets and I had to pay for kid. The room was new but not clean. The bathroom had sewage smell, and not pleasant.

The facilities are very new. I like it! The room is big and clean. The indoor waterpark next to the hotel is fun.

A highly recommended get-away hotel in Chengdu

This hotel reminds of Vegas resort hotels. You have a sense of quality about it. Ambience is quite romantic.

Chengdu Intercontinental Global Centre

I got an upgrade from the friendly staff which is great. The neighborhood is dominated by the Global Centre and it's facilities, and whilst they are great, it si centered around shopping and entertainment and dining.

Very enjoyable stay

Incredible hotel. Kids enjoyed the water park and adventure climbing. Will definitely star there again and highly recommend it to others.

Overall a happy stay

I stayed at this hotel for one night. There is a huge water park which is accessible to all hotel guests. There is also a huge mall filled with a variety of different shops and restaurants. The room is well equipped and is very clean. My only beef is that the hotel staff weren't the most helpful, especially not up to the standards of a five star hotel. That being said, if you are not so picky about those small details and don't have to be pampered by te hotel staff, you would enjoy the relaxing environment and the convenience of the high class shopping mall next door. I would go back to this hotel again next time. After all, they have reasonable rates and free access to the water park compared with some other five star hotels.

A bit far off

Stayed there on a business trip. It was a bit far off the CBD, but the Metro is close, so no real problems there, as the Metro is reliabe and cheap. Rooms are good, though the - friendly and helpful - staff doesn´t really speak English that well, which is better e.g. at the Dorsett, where I staid later. But that is bound to improve, as the hotel is fairly new. Around, there is nothing, and if you have to go to the IT-Area, it´s a short, but smoggy walk. The other IC should be a better choice in that case, though. On my first night, the smoke detector went off at 6 a.m., so that was a bit unlucky, I guess. You get free access to the waterworld in the Center, so if that´s what you want, it might be a plus. Forget about swimming there, though. It´s more about water slides and such. Good breakfast.

酒店的维护有问题，看上去很旧，地毯看上去也脏兮兮的，毛巾浴巾是住过洲际里最差的，同集团的经济型酒店智选假日都不会比这个差，除了有一个水世界，其他没有值得肯定的地方

good for a biz trip

Nice location, spacious room and convenient facility

定的豪华房，图片有一张大床以及一张小孩床；备注要求上下铺；到了前台告知我们定的是普通豪华房，不是主题亲子房，心中莫名失落，因为是看着图片预定的，也不知道到底是什么样的房型；后来来了一位很帅的小伙子，给我们安排了上下铺+大床的主题房，总算是缓过来；总体来说不错，小孩子很喜欢，有上下铺，有小黑板，很宽的阳台，可以游泳；但是请网站宣传一定要准确，不然客人的体验感会不好

Global Center

Huoneet siistejä ja tilavia. Palvelu hyvää ja parempaa jos osaa kiinaa. Aamiainen loistava. Kaikki palvelut ,kaupat ja aktiviteetit löytyvät saman katon alta, ei tarvitse välttämättä rakennuksesta liikkua mihinkään.

夜遅くまでプールでどんちゃん騒ぎしていてうるさいので、それが嫌な人はやめておいた方が良いでしょう。

chambre situee a l interieur du grand hangar" qui abrite le aqua center. chambre tres sombre avec bruit de fond de l immense piscine. Par contre une piscine privee de l hotel existe , et y diner a cote ou y prendre son petit dejeune est tres agreable. A essayer en Hiver ou normalement l endroit doit etre climatise. ( a confirmer)

No one understands English. Tried boiling mineral water but when I drank it tasted very sour and had to spit it out. Hair from previous guests were not cleaned in wet area. Power of my room was out. Took 45mins to fix and after 10 mims power went out again. Had a difficult time communicaring this since no one spoke english. So terrible never will come back. And the design is sooo old and spooky.

半夜入住，前台错吧D区谢成E区，结果怎么也找不到房间，打电话告诉前台才直到弄错了！解决得也很慢，最后自己拖着行李走过去。房间里味道很大，霉味，影响健康。打开阳台门通风的话又很吵！

非常棒！酒店超大的，设施齐全，送两张水上世界门票相对房费还是比较合算。水上世界更好玩，成人和儿童都有。早餐也超级丰盛每天都不用吃午餐了。 下次来成都还会再去。

环球中心是个巨大的综合体，吃住行玩一条龙。每天凭房卡可以领两张天堂岛乐园门票，孩子玩得很开心。房间干净整洁舒服，非常不错，就是早餐一般般。

床非常舒適，早餐很好，wifi不夠快不穩定

环境很美，游玩海洋世界很方便，客房很大，洗澡水很大，早餐一般，可惜房内电话是坏的，防盗链接近失灵，细节要提高！A区相对安静

酒店很棒，定了套房，前台自动延到4点退房，酒店很干净大气，很喜欢小庭院；还送了海洋世界的门票，很开心，早餐就在泳池畔，很有在热带的风味

Great for couple and family

Good hospitality, waterpark is great. Shopping mall just connects with hotel and very convenience. Food such as breakfast and room services are bad as it's a 5-star hotel.
