Needs improvement!

The customer service at this hotel is poor: the young folks at the front desk seem they don't have the training or skills to deal with people; I asked for 1-hr tolerance for my check-out and they gave me 12 minutes. Also do not get a room near the chambermaids closets: they meet every morning by your door and you hear the entire conversation.

The hotel was in construction so the room was cold and empty, the bathroom didn’t have the treats the photos offer, the front desk staff weren’t helpful. The interred was very slow!

Hands down the worst hotel stay in my life!

I had a really bad experience with the hotel. Apparently the hotel has been renovated but I wasn’t provided that piece of information when I made a booking nor at any time untill I checked in the hotel. Therefore I had to endure a constant noise from the work. On top of that my room was close to the elevators and for some reason I was able to hear thumps coming from the wall every single time the elevators were moving. It was cold in Sao Paulo but the heating system in the hotel was not working. My room was like a fridge! The front desk told me that they could not do anything about it. So I had to be in my coat, hat and gloves while in the room. My fingers were blue. The key fob for the elevator did not work for my floor so every single time I had to come back to the hotel I had to ask someone from the reception to come to the elevator and tap their fob in order for me to reach my floor&room. And when I say ask….. NOBODY and I mean not a single person speaks English so the only way to communicate is with hand gestures and google translate.

Rooms are old and need to be redone. However, they are spacious and the furniture is acceptable. The bathroom smelled like sewage and the toilet kept water running 24/7: bad for the environment, bad for the constant noise of water running. There’s construction work being done in the hotel and it starts at 8 am and goes on all afternoon, make sure you’re out of the room if you intend to stay here. People and their kids were loud in the common and elevator areas, which is not necessarily the hotel’s fault, but impacted my ability to sleep in their property. Breakfast is GREAT!

Great location and comfortable stay.

Great locations - close to Ave Paulista, shops and restaurants -- but not "on" the avenue so it's less noisy. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is an older facility but they at least keep it up to date as much as they can. The swimming pool is actually more a hot/warm tub.

Stay away…

At check in the front desk told me due to holidays they did not have cleaning staff so didnt have a room with a queen bed. Gave me instead a room with a twin bed. Said the price was the same. Then throughout the entire stay, the air conditioner of the hotel was not working. I was in two different rooms and apparently the front desk said they were having problems with the AC. In 5 days, it was never fixed. In the middle of summer… staff does not care, didnt even apologize for the problems. Stay away.

Great location

Expensive and not-to-standard.

Location was perfect, just a few meters away from avenida paulista. Although the room and bathroom were spacious and clean, my stay was frustrated due to the lack of air-conditioning. I was hoping to have a comfortable night and got a too hot room for any sleep. When we complained to the reception saying the entrance of the hotel was cooler than our room, staff laughed at our face and said this wouldn't be possible. Following day, after a technician confirmed our ar conditioner was broken, manager called to our room and offer an upgrade. Ar conditioning in this room as better but still not cooling enough for the hot São Paulo weather. Despite having extra amenities in this upgraded room, it was clearly not clean enough and bathtub outside had water (probably from the rain) with mosquitos.

Terrible

We did had a bad experience at this Hotel. Check in - No early check, as the room was available at 4 pm, which would be a problem, except that when they gave us the room at 4, it wasn’t entirely clean (housekeeping was still cleaning the room while we waited outside the door) and the floor was wet. The hotel has a construction crew working. You can hear them working. The air conditioning was not working, so to warm the room a little (it was really cold inside the room), we were instructed to turn off of the control panel. We had no shampoo for 2 days, almost three. They do not give the little bottles, which actually a good thing for the planet, except that they just didn’t replenish the bottle that they had. I asked for shampoo early in the morning when I noticed it was empty (while I showered), but they didn’t replenish it that day. I asked for it again at night, and they told me it was late, so they would do it at 8am the next day. The next day I had to call them again at 10am because nothing happened. They replenished that in the afternoon. The shower had an issue. The hot water would turn to cold water after 2 minutes, and then changed again to scalding water. This would repeat itself every 30 seconds after that, in a cycle. When we asked to change rooms, they told us that it was not possible. The bathroom doesn’t have an air vent. So we really on the room general venting system. Not really that much of an issue but was unexpected but a high end hotel.

Excelente estadia. Funcionários atenciosos, limpeza perfeita, ótima localização, café da manhã bem servido e muito bom. Por incrível que pareça, o que não deve ser surpresa para muita gente, o único ponto negativo foram alguns hóspedes. No nosso andar, muito barulho, portas batendo, pessoas discutindo, crianças gritando, sujeira no corredor.

Horrible service. Avoid at all costs.

The room cleaning service is only provided every other day (once in 2 days) and you need to use the towels for two days. The location is great and easy to access the main street of SP.

Excelente service.The room was very clean and the bed very confortable. The employees were very professional. Bruno that works in the Hotel Lobby delivered a great service and always he made me feel welcome. Great service!

The pictures are deceiving. The rooms are much smaller than what it looks like in the pictures. They use an ultra-wide angle lens to get this effect.

Decent place in good area. Nothing fancy but it’s reliable. Friendly service throughout.

I was able to check in when the room was ready, even if its before normal check in time. The breakfast is always so good with great food and always fresh fruits.

Centrally located off Paulista, clean, comfortable and reasonably-priced.

I chose this hotel due to its location, staff and the photos online were fantastic. However the only accurate part of the listing in Expedia was the location and staff. Upon arriving I was given my room right away which is à definite plus after a long travel day. They also were very accommodating with my requests. The staff overall were friendly and professional. The sad part was the actual room. It was quite a disappointment. It’s very outdated and did not compare to the images on Expedia. Outlets for charging phone were nowhere convenient. Had to pull the night stand to be able to charge my phone but he bed. It’s these little things that matter that make an experience stand out. The room itself was quite small for a premium Queen bedroom. It was not spacious at all and felt quite claustrophobic. The pool once again very outdated and not a comfortable area to just relax and lounge. Overall the hotel was ok. Not worth the price.

The customer service was very good as the staff was very helpful to address all of my needs. While the breakfast was good, the variety of food options could have been better.

I enjoyed the location of this hotel. It was nice that it was located close to Avenida Paulista, the metro and Bella Paulista. The rooms were great size and offered great amenities. My only concern is the layout of the bathroom, sometimes it was difficult for two people to maneuver in there because of the position of the bidet. Also, the shower temperature was not very hot. Other than that, great hotel!

The staff was amazing and the location was convenient and near many great restaurants and bars. The staff really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend staying here!

Terrrible service and even worse internet

Internet connectivity was atrocious. Staff continued to tell me to wait and it would get better. Staff did not return service requests. Would never go back/

My stay was good and peace full, I visited Rio Dejaneiro and I came back no problem and the hotel workers were really very professional .

A nice basic hotel

well located, nice reception and great breakfast menu. More could be done to improve the outdated gym. There is a microscopic pool that should not impliy this is a hotel with pool - it only offers some kind of Jacuzzi tub where not even a child could swim. Room furniture is nice although basic.

I paid extra and was expecting to get a little more than this. The reservation said that I was going to get a room with a view, there was absolutely no view. My window looked out to an apartment building and it was really close to the hotel so it was a little uncomfortable to have the window open because you felt like anyone could see in. There was an enormous amount of surprise charges. I had to pay a $500 deposit on the room which I thought was astronomical. Furthermore, when I was leaving I got charged extra charges as well. I have no idea why. The room was small and I probably won't be staying there again.

Really good hotel in excellent location. Thr rooms are clean, new and very quiet indeed. Being very close to Avenida Paulista you have a wide variety of restaurants and bars close by. The area seems secure as well.

Fraud and duplicate charges

Need to make people aware of the scam this hotel performs. They marked my Hotelscom reservation as complete and duplicate charged me for the same room and it was a slightly different amount from the Hotelscom amount. Credit card company is unable to contest the charge as they say since I stay there the hotel has proof of my stay and Hotelscom has responded saying that it is non-refundable and that I completed the stay. Now I ended up being duplicate charged for the same stay.

Friendly and very attentive and excellent location. Room was comfortable and very clean. Only one detail, drain smell from bathroom, especially at night despite the room being spotless.

Nice business hotel but hot water was not working. The breakfast is basic, only one coffee machine working, had to stand in line to get a cup of coffee

It’s ok for the price and location

The hotel is clean. Room service is good. Buffet is great. Front desk service is slow. I tried to go to the bar downstairs with my iPad and get a drink and they told me I couldn’t sit at the bar, instead a table. The bathrooms are small but the shower is very nice. Bed is descent. Business table in room is the worst. Can’t even see the tv from it if you want to. Overall a 3.5/5 stars from me.

Nice hotel close to Paulista

Nice hotel very close to Paulista but without a lot of noise. Close to bakery's, restaurants, bar, shopping. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect stay.

We loved our stay! Perfect location, close to a metro station and easy access to bars and restaurants. The room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was also very nice. I would recommend this place.

Comfortable and well located hotel

The hotel is comfortable and well located. Our room on the 14th floor: - was large, light and well equipped - with an extremely comfortable king-size bed - crisp white quality bed linen - had a great view of SP - and a large bathroom with large walk-in shower The hotel is well located. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to visit and the road the hotel is located feels safe and features a number of small cafes and restaurants. The shops and banks on Paulista Ave are just around the corner. My only comment (and this is not a complaint or a concern) is that the floor length windows fully opened onto the juliett balcony which only has a lowish level safety rail. Although perfectly safe this was at first a bit disconcerting for someone who is steeped in UK health & safety culture. For this reason is don’t think the room is ideal for children or for someone who doesn’t like heights. The view was great though. We had a great stay and I have already booked this hotel for my next visit to SP.

It's a good stay

Location is prefect . But bell boy in front of the hotel is not enough . Room clean but wifi is weak .

Still great value and excellent location

The hotel is showing it's age. Some of the room and bathroom furniture are worth renewing. In 4 stays, this is the first time I requested a room change. Not the problem of the hotel, but the building next to it is very noisy. However, the staff compensate for every short coming of the infrastructure. Wonderful, helpful and warmth are the thoughts that come to mind. Just Pedro in the front desk has to pick it up, the rest of the staff went out of their way to make my stay better. Congratulations for the awesome service.

Good hotel in a very good location

My experience with TRYP was very good and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably-priced hotel in central San-Paulo. The value for money is excellent. The location is in a nice and safe area. Some of the sights and museums are at a walkable distance.

While you are a block away from The Paulista road it is a good location to walk to the financial district or to take a taxi to other areas. The rooms are clean and breakfast was good ( eggs, fresh fruit but no cook). yhis is a hotel if you want to stay in a safe area while having the choice to got to some local pubs around the area. Everything else ( shopping, and sight seeing) can be well reached with a taxi. For me it was a great stay and I would choose this hotel again. FYI, try the bakery ( it's huge) going towards Paulista

Nice hotel close to Paulista Avenue

Very friendly staff. They helped us book a car, and showed us all the best places to go. The room was modern and recently updated, and very clean.

Great hotel with dreadful wifi

Tryp was a pleasant surprise, it's actually nicer than what the pictures make it look. The location is great, the breakfast was nice and the staff are really friendly and helpful. The only downsides were that the pool area is kind of depressing and the wifi is utter rubbish. I would stay here again if they sorted out their wifi.

Terrível , água acabou no hotel , sem banho nem Nada! Sem telefone no quarto , janela e quarto não acústico , com hóspedes brigando na madrugada e sem condições de fazer nada ! Atendentes sem compromisso com o hóspede ! Só a localização que é boa ! Nunca mais !!

Falta de agua e aquecimento

Precisei fazer checkout hoje por volta das 5:10 da manha e o chuveiro so saia pouquissima agua e gelada, nao consegui tomar banho.

Incrível e muito limpo! Ótima cama e enxoval.

Ambientes agradáveis, bem decorados e limpos. Equipe atenciosa e cordial. Cama super confortável com travesseiros excelentes. Café da manhã com muitas variedades de pães e fruta.

Primeira hospedagem no hotel, o quarto que ficamos era amplo, silencioso, demonstrava que havia passado por reforma recente com muitos cuidados nos detalhes, tais como, iluminação e móveis (Num dos elevadores havia um aviso informando sobre as reformas). A recepção tem funcionários atenciosos e a localização é outro ponto importante deste hotel. Minha sugestão é melhorarem o Wi-Fi que tinha um bom sinal (85%) o que indicada ter um roteador próximo, mas a velocidade era muito baixa e não chegava a no máximo 8 Mbps, confesso que considero bom quando a velocidade ultrapassa 50 Mbps.

Altos e baixos

Atendimento da recepção, ressalvado no check-out, desapontador. Tivemos que aguardar toda a passagem de turno para sermos atendidos e ainda esperar o recepcionista resolver o problema de outro recepcionista com outro hóspede para pegar as bagagens. O ar condicionado demora para esfriar e, como não sabia, pedi, por volta das 21h, para verificarem o que estava acontecendo e só obtive uma resposta no dia seguinte. Quanto ao restante, o rapaz da manutenção foi muito solícito e a equipe do bar e restaurante prestativa.

Good hotel with a good location

In general a good hotel. Spacey room and comfortable bed. Good Brazilian breakfast. Three elevators are great, no queue or waiting time. On the negative side I couldn't get the temperature down on hot days. Also the toilet had issues with flushing. Can't open the windows but I assume it's a safety issue.

Excelente estadia

A experiência de estadia no hotel foi excelente! Tive apenas duas diárias, mas observei que é comum o hotel receber muitos hóspedes com passagem rápida, inclusive que estão viajando sozinhos. A localização é muito boa, ficando bem próximo tanto da Av. Paulista quanto da badalada Rua Augusta. Visitei ambas à pé. Independente da hora do dia, haverá movimento pelos arredores. Externamente e internamente, o hotel é bem bonito, conservado e limpo. O processo de checkin foi bem rápido. Chegando no quarto, a impressão também foi positiva e acabou se confirmando após a primeira noite: muito confortável, agradável e limpo, além de ter um espaço adequado para 1 ou 2 pessoas. O banheiro também foi outra surpresa positiva, pois o chuveiro é grande e muito bom, proporcionando um banho agradável. O quarto conta com uma pequena sacada de talvez menos de 1 metro, mas serve caso alguém queira dar uma olhada do lado de fora. Em resumo, foi uma estadia rápida, mas muito satisfatória. Recomendo o hotel!

A localização é excelente, café da manhã bom, cama boa, hotel bem limpo. Ponto negativo: poucas pessoas na recepção. O check-in e check out demoraram muito tempo. Fila enorme na saída.

L'hotel è mediamente buono e pulito, il servizio gentile e le colazioni buone. La stanza è un poco basica e nelle stanze la connessione wifi non è buona,si può migliorare. La zona non è male con opportunità di mangiare e bere, molto vicini a Av. Paulista

Banheiro foi ponto fraco

O quarto é amplo, limpo e recém-reformado. Porém a descarga do banheiro estragou duas vezes. E o chuveiro era bem ruim: pouca água e o misturador não funcionava bem: água muito quente ou muito fria.

Atendimento a desejar

Pelo preço deixou muito a desejar. Eu e minha família ficamos em 2 quartos twins e embora tivesse pedido no momento da reserva para ficarmos no mesmo andar, ficamos 2 andares abaixo um do outro. O pessoal da recepção não explicou nada e nem ajudou a levar a bagagem. O melhor do hotel foi o café da manhã e o pessoal que serve o café: muito gentis e educados.

Estadia muito confortável

Quarto bastante espaçoso, chuveiro muito bom. As janelas não vedam totalmente o barulho da cidade, mas não me atrapalhou para dormir.
