Another lovely stay at the Inn on the Coast. Enjoyed a large sized front facing room with a view as a special treat for 2 nights over New Year. Room condition was definitely tired, particularly the bathroom & shower area which were in need of immediate care & attention. Dined in the restaurant and food was super, both dinner and at breakfast. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive but was clear that they were short staffed and very stretched whilst trying to do their best. Hope the hotel picks it up a little, be a shamed to see it decline. Great value and superb location.
Nice
Very cosy and nice place. Clean. Spaceous rooms and friendly staff.
The staff were very friendly.and helpful.
The Staff were most helpful and polite. Are bedroom was clean & tidy, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, set the five of us up for day. Lovely being able to sit at breakfast & look out to Sea & coast line. Plenty of car parking spaces. Will stay here again, hopefully back next year.
Family overnight in portrush
It was a place to sleep when up visiting family. It was great for a family room and breakfast was lovely the next day.
Staff at the desk was extremely helpful and friendly.
Welcoming
A very warm welcome and very friendly, helpful staff. The food was excellent, so we ate there both nights. Room a bit dated but very clean. A great stay. We hope to return.
Loved our stay except the beds in our room tooooooo hard, like rock hard and breakfast was excellent but no baked beans which left it feeling dry. An Ulster fry is not an Ulster fry without beans. Excellent hotel and love that we could’ve brought our dog too xx
Stay was good. Clean, good food but property does need a bit of updating in bathroom.
Staff very friendly and a lovely warm welcome. Rooms where a great size. Super location and a very good breakfast. Bathrooms in serious need of refurbishment though. Would use it again.
Bed was uncomfortable. Food wasn’t the best, but everyone was very friendly!
Nice time away
Amazing
Inn on the Coast is our home away from home
The Inn on the Coast is our home away from home, we love arriving to a warm reception, spacious bedroom and the delicious food in the restaurant.
Great views
Helpful staff who understood our need for a downstairs room and were able to change our room allocation for which I was grateful. All staff friendly and helpful.
Staff was helpful. The hotel was disappointing. It is in need of updating.
Was my 3rd visit but the room this time was above the kitchen exit so the noise was annoying. Receptionists were great!
The Inn is a very pleasant place to stay. Reasonable rates, friendly staff and the best breakfast.
New beds would really help
Restaursnt and reception were excellent, unfortunately bed was really uncomfortable mattress completely gone, 2nd night I slept on the floor.
A great place to stay.
A great place to stay, although the breakfast food could do with being hotter.
Nice and modern, the room was nice, clean and spacious but had no personality. Some of the furnishings were a little uncared for, like curtains hanging down or a split toilet seat lid, some were brand new.
great hotel
a great location and parking in the back was a real plus. our room was large and quiet. decor, especially in hall and rooms upstairs could really use a refresh.
The staff was very accomodating and area was very respectable.
The room we had was very large and sparse. It worked for us but much to boast about.
The hotel was amazing! All the staff were incredible epically Kayleigh on reception, my daughter absolutely loved her and she was fantastic
Nice place to stay on the coast. Food was great
Excellent view of the ocean! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was dated but clean and comfortable.
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. We got an extra big room. StAff were very helpful at all.times .
Nice stay
Lovely hotel and lovely friendly staff
Fantastic place to stay room was big and comfortable, restaurant and was lovely and the staff were fantastic
Very large rooms, friendly staff, pretty and clean
Great hotel
Lovely hotel. Great breakfast. Large room for 3 with a proper bed for our child.
View spectacular, mattress seriously lacking
The staff were great, location perfect for my needs. Nice complimentary breakfast and restaurant on property. Helpful to accommodate an early check in.
Friendly staff.
This hotel was great. The room we stayed in was big and spacious. Great friendly staff and breakfast was lovely. Id definitely stay again.
superb
super friendly staff good food excellent service a joy to spend time here
wonderful location. room was huge! staff is wonderful. Especially Debbie who helped me find a doctor on a Sunday night! thank you 😊
Ideal location that is convenient to all local amenities. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful room and comfy beds.
Happy short break.
Very comfortable good sized room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent.
Beautiful setting, friendly helpful staff, also lovely walks and golf course on doorstep. Regular bus into Portrush Town centre, really enjoyed are stay, and will be booking again but will take are dog next time as it welcomes are best friends 🐶p.s Breakfast was excellent for choice
One night stay
Nice lace to stay location very good nice walk into Portrush. Hotel is nice although we had a room that hadn't been renovated(still had carpet)it was clean and bed was comfortable. Lovely bar and good selection of drinks food good also. Breakfast was ok no fresh fruit which was a bit disapointing and bacon was streaky bacon but other than that it was ok. Staff very friendly. Would stay again if got a good deal
No elevator
Room is very wide and clean. Only one disappointment is that the most of the rooms are located at the upstairs but they have no elevator.
Great stay
We had a lovely time. Hotel was excellent as normal. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. Help yourself to food. Booked another little break before l left.
Chambre défraîchi et d Un autre age literie moyenne
Thanks i was staying with my two disabled adult children and the ground floor room and convenient parking was ideal, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.
The room was very average. Tv will turn on automatically middle of the night. Bed wasn’t comfortable we end up getting back pain and neck pain. Breakfast was alright. Staff were friendly they were happy to help. I think they would improve on bed and pillows. I would give 3 star for this place
We loved the view of the ocean, and the lobby and restaurant were great. The photos of the rooms online were misleading, however. I guess we got a room that hasn't been renovated yet. It was pretty shabby and rundown looking. We were only there for one night, so it was fine. But if we'd stayed longer, I would have asked to switch to a better quality room for that price.
GREAT HOSPITALITY
We have stayed here on different occasions and on this one we noticed changes to the breakfast. Much more choice and more varied menu plus coffee machine.
Staff amazing - room perfect for a family of 4 right at the front … evening meal and drinks excellent quality and price … was a huge shame about breakfast … after such a good meal the night before had high hopes for breakfast .. but sadly not … what was nice was that the breakfast order for the hot food was taken so no buffet .. but the bacon and black pudding were just dried out I guess been cooked first thing and just not nice - no one had runny poached eggs - so over done you could have bounced them … 3 tables by us were commenting the same … no fruit option other than the frozen red berry mix you get .. would have appreciated something healthily like a fruit salad which is pretty standard … definitely would go back - just wouldn’t pay B&B - and go into Port Rush for breakfast . Couple of minor points - no pillow protectors - but the pillows were clean and no stains and the TV kept turning on in the night so had to get up and unplug it .. for the staff and location and evening meal I would definitely return - just not a fan of the breakfast - sorry !
Colleen and Debbie at the front desk were so friendly and hellpful!!!
The hotel was under renovation (which we were not informed of) and with unpainted trim, etc. it seemed shabby. Our dinner at the restaurant was not great and the waitress seemed sort of irritated? Breakfast was much better and the young lady who was our server was really delightful.
Great location, great staff and super great that you can bring your dog. Yeah
Shocked at being charged additional £30 when already booked a pet friendly room. 3 set of door's being slammed all night.
Great stay
Had a lovely stay, staff were very friendly and helpful, bedrooms just need a little update to modernise them.
Loved the views Very convenient location nice big room an best of all dog friendly
Great stay, will definitely be visiting again
We had a lovely stay here, staff were very friendly, helpful and great with the kids. The room was great, had all the amenities you needed and plenty of room. Breakfast was great, large variety to chose from and lovely food. Excellent location.
Ideal one-night stay
Friendly staff, a large clean and comfortable room and a great meal. What's not to like? This was a good one night stop on a road trip and we had a lovely walk along the cliff top.
The staff in the restaurant were outstanding. The room was clean and exactly as advertised. Breakfast was very good too. I would have liked to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room, but it was a very nice stay overall.
Ok but dated…staff is outstanding.
Lovely staff…very customer service oriented. The hotel is old so the rooms are not updated much. TV was not working consistently. There is no elevator so you have to haul your bags up 3 flights of stairs and this was not mentioned on website. There is no safe in the room so we had to take our stuff with us and no small fridge. You can access al the floors without having to card in. Breakfast was excellent with cooked hot and cold offerings. Servers were lovely.
I found the hotel to be clean and comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was large and clean but dated in appearance. I would certainly stay again.
Perfect overnight stay at the North Coast
Booked last minute to make the most of the good weather at the weekend and so glad we picked Inn on the Coast. Lots of parking, check-in was seamless, could not fault the room at all - comfy beds, good range of facilities, decent towels, blackout curtains, what more could we want. Our room was so quiet as well, expected to hear all sorts of outside noise in the location but didn't hear a peep all night. The hotel is a little outdated and tired in places but all can be overlooked for a good night's sleep and a full belly the next morning. Breakfast really hit the spot, wide range of choice and very tasty. The staff were very accommodating and friendly to our lively toddler walking around the breakfast room. They were also very attentive at cleaning tables. Would definitely stay again, thank you
Inn on the coast
Super clean with friendly staff. Nice bar and restaurant areas.
Great stay, central and good food
Very clean throughout the hotel,it has been upgraded since last time there. Entrance and check in all very nicely decorated. Lovely helpful staff in all areas…. Only thing I would have liked was fruit for breakfast.. I understand expense , but even a fruit bowl with a few choices would be nice.
Inn on the Coast short stay
Hotel areas were clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Furniture in bedroom a bit dated and bed requires a new mattress. Good location between Portstewart and Portrush.
Lovely Hotel perfect location
Staff were lovely and very helpful rooms very clean and comfortable exactly as described great value close to all local attractions.would definitely recommend
How it was really quiet an clean and the breakfast was lively.
Just went for a couple of days as my wife was off work and wanted to get away for a break. Lovely spot and close to Portrush and portstewart. Lots of dining options within walking distance. And a coastal path opposite the hotel. Great breakfast and staff. Will be back again.
Great place to stay. Staff very helpful and friendly Had a great stay as always. Highly recommend this hotel
No frills, enjoyable stay. Spot on
Perfectly enjoyable one night stay at hotel on North Coast. Staff friendly, helpful and down to earth, room clean and comfortable. Had enjoyable meal in hotel bar and decent breakfast before departure. Will definitely return.
This was our 1st stay and we’ll definately be back. The hotel is ideally situated, has very amenity needed, the food was excellent and the staff could not have been more friendly.
Great room, must be due some modernization soon. Staff excellent. Great value
Great value for money and service greatly appreciated thank you
FOOD OVER PRICED SMALL PORTIONS
Surrounding Area
Good hotel - clean, comfortable - good breakfast - friendly and efficient staff - good parking and good wi-fi
Great location, staff super helpful. Good food at night and breakfast excellent
Really good stay.
This hotel is quite tired in places however this did not spoil the experience. The room was clean and warm and had a nicely stocked hospitality tray. The communal areas are comfortable and the bar is nicely decorated and the staff in all areas of the hotel were exceptional. I really enjoyed my stay.
Lovely hotel, rooms are a bit dated but that doesnt bother us. Staff were so nice and very helpful. Love the fact that its dog friendly. In a great spot, walk into the Port on the right or Coast walk to the left. Beautiful view of the sea and golf green from our room. Lovely restaurant across the road. Would definitely recommended and stay again. Breakfast was so nice
We couldn't ask for anything better. many thanks for a relaxing stay.
Very comfortable room. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Excellent location for those on a golf holiday.
Pet friendly stay with family.
Another great experience staying at Inn on the Coast with our wee dog. Very pet friendly in hotel. Room spacious warm and very clean. Friendly and efficient staff. Good food for breakfast and dinner.
Loved the large spacious room and bathroom. Such a treat after struggling with small rooms & bathrooms all across Ireland. On a wet, cold & windy night it was a haven. Good dinber and drinks as well. Well worth it!
No elevator. Rooms need renovation.
It was clean and food good
Perfect stay and we will be back thank you again
Old and tired
This hotel is very tired and so was the gal that checked us in, only a smile when we left. Red carpet, yikes! Also, train is literally right behind hotel, we heard it all night. I would never stay here again. I don’t know where the raving reviews came from……
Quiet
Great place
Clean comfortable rooms. Staff lovely and friendly bar/ restaurant excellent Steak and Guinness pie very good. Would absolutely stay here again
Very friendly and helpful staff. Large clean spacious rooms. Beautiful location.
Great location, welcoming and comfortable stay
Great location on the coast. We had a king bed and single bed in a large spacious room. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room is a bit tired in places but it was clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. We would stay here again.
Beautiful property and great for a night in to relax! The dinner and breakfast were very good, some of the best had on our 2 week trip. Is a little further from town if you are looking for a walking night out. The views from the property and great and parking was very easy. Nice staff as well!
Bit outdated. Could use a facelift. Staff friendly and helpful. Food good.
I wouldn't stay here again. Dubbed the best dog-friendly hotel, we found that our allocated room smelled strongly of a kennel - clean - Jeyes Fluid clean. The list of dog rules, A4, laminated, was patronising and OTT, I guess that they may have had some bad experiences with irresponsible owners in the past. The evening meal was very ordinary, unappealing looking short menu, reasonably priced, but it would be of most interest to anyone who likes Salt & Chilli Chicken. Service was OK. Drew at breakfast and the gentleman restaurant manager, plus reception staff made this place a lot better than my review might otherwise have been. I thought that £30 for a dog for one night (although I appreciate this is a flat fee however many nights you stay) was a little steep, especially as the room felt second rate (I believe they were going to do something about this after our comment). In summary, OK, but it's been the worst place we've stayed so far on this holiday. Good dog walk along the cliff path! Check ou the Sailor's Grave....
I know hot weather is not the norm in Ireland but it would be nice if the windows opened more than six inches on those hot nights. Sleeping was very uncomfortable.
Lovely breakfast and receptionist
Road noise
The stay inportrush was great. The eco friendly of the hotel is questionable. Our room was ok except the radiator was on full and needed my expertease to get it to turn off. The temperature outside was 22c and no way should the heating be on. Also with the hotel on a main road there is alot of road noise.
Comfortable stay
We had a comfortable and good sized room in this hotel. There was plenty of free on-site parking. Property located on very edge of Portrush, but a public footpath provides good connectivity to the nearby beach and Portrush town centre. Surrounding area has a safe feel.

Ohh I do like to be beside the seaside
Hugh car park at rear of this hotel leading into a warm well lit reception. Location overlooking the sea was perfect. Rooms were a great size. Beds comfortable and excellent selection of tea and coffee with delicious shortbread biscuit each. The bathroom had everything you needed including soft tissues Great choice at breakfast for cooked and continental breakfast in an uncluttered open room. All staff were friendly and very helpful with recommendations
