Friendly staff and decent location in old quarter

Staff was friendly. Location was good. Our first night the tv remote did not work and there was gum on the hallway carpet. The free breakfast was average. I had diarrhea after the breakfast. The free bottled water offered I suspected was reused tap water. The value was overall decent.

This was my 3rd visit to Hanoi. This was by far the best hotel I have stayed in. The thing that impressed me the most was the staff. Every single one of them was a 10! And the feee breakfast spread was amazing. I am definitely staying here again next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at Imperial Hotel and Spa. We found all the staff very friendly, helpful and polite - they all made us feel welcome, arranged everything from booking tours to transport. They were very kind in storing some of our suitcases while we went on a two night Ha Long Bay cruise - they certainly went out of their way to accommodate any request. The breakfast was delicious and every day seemed to have different selections. The room was spacious, clean and had comfortable large beds. The hotel is situated on a quieter street in the old quarter and it was just perfect at the end of the day to have a peaceful sleep.

Super friendly stuffs and great location.

Service is top notch. They gave us very good advice on places to visit and recommended good eateries at Old Quarters. Special mention to Tom, Suzie and team. Very helpful.

Convince

We spent 6 nights at the Imperial Hotel & Spa, and it was such a wonderful stay! The hotel is in a great location, just a block away from Hoan Kiem Lake and walkable to so many attractions, restaurants, shops, and really great coffee shops. The staff was so excellent! We were always greeted with a smile and they always made sure we had everything that we needed. We got some great massages, the breakfast staff always remembered us and how we like to order our pho, and the front door staff rarely let us open the door. They do such a great job of making guests feel so personally cared for.

Imperail Hotel & Spa is in a great location and very well maintained. Drawbacks were that there was not sufficient closet space in our room and shower drain was located on opposite side of bathroom from the shower so entire floor of bathroom got very wet every time we used the shower.

I cannot express how much Grace at reception and Anna helped me and my daughter with this trip. This was my daughter’s first trip internationally and my first time to Vietnam. It was made extra special by their attentiveness. Grace helped us book flights to travel more inside the country and see more sights, helped us find good local traditional restaurants, and made our stay absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort and convenient location. Very walkable to lots of great attractions and food, the spa was wonderful and massages were great too. Even nicer than the pictures and the breakfast was tasty as well. Book this for your stay you will not be disappointed 😊

Simple check in and staff were generally very friendly and helpful! Close proximity to Hoan Kiem Lake and 4P Pizza just outside the hotel!

Imperial Hotel and Spa

The Imperial Hotel and Spa was excellent. We were warmly welcomed and checked in was quick and smooth. The staff were alway polite, helpful and caring.Help was give readily. The hotel was in a very good position close to Kiem Lake and the old Quarter We received a lovely gift of coffee and a coffee brewer which was a total surprise. Thank you Alex and staff

The Customer Service was outstanding

First and foremost the staff is the star of the hotel. They went above and beyond to provide in depth explanation of the room as well as hotel amenities. They also provided lots of local information as well as cautionary information of the area. The rooms are well equipped with the normal amenities including water for travelers. The hotel is also just a street away from Hoe Kiem lake which makes it easy for us to shop around the area.

Good hotel, excellent service. but location accessibility is bad during weekends as the road leading to hotel would be closed.

Travelled with elderly parents so I was looking a hotel with a lift and chanced upon Imperial Hotel and Spa on Expedia. It did not disappoint. All the staff were courteous, kind and welcoming. They made our stay very comfortable. Our receptionist Grace was very helpful and went all out to facilitate our travels. They made it a point to confirm all our travel pick up details! The area is great - food and massage options are just a stone throw away. There is some age to the hotel (expected and they were upfront about it) but the service and accessibility made up for it. Will definitely recommend this hotel!

It is in the heart of the old quarter, but still very calm and peaceful inside the hotel. The breakfast was incredible- lots of delicious choices, each day a bit different.

Nice hotel situated in old quarter

The location was very convenient with lots of places to visit, eat and shop.The staff were fantastic and helpful. The room was spacious, the bed was huge and pillow smelled nice.

My stay at Imperial Hotel and Spa was excellent. The service was impeccable, and breakfasts were delicious. They took frequent measures to ensure my stay was very satisfying. I will certainly return and recommend friends and family to stay there as well.

The location is great right in the center of the Old Quarter. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Short walks to many of the sights. The staff is wonderful and is very helpful. They helped us with Visa's and a trip to Halong Bay. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here in early December for a night. It’s tucked away in a street on the northwest side of the lake, which is a 5 min walk away. I arrived in a taxi and the staff greeted me immediately upon exiting the car. They helped me with my backpack and gave me a cup a tea while signing me in at the front desk. The hotel went through a recent remodel since the last time I stayed here and it is top-notch. Super clean and felt super comfortable. The staff was very attentive throughout the stay and the breakfast buffet was pretty good! Definitely good too start up your day for Hanoi. Perfect location and walkable for everything around and there’s even foot massage places down the street you can go to right after a long day of walking. I stayed here once before 4 years ago, and tried it out again because I thought the first experience was already good. Would definitely recommend here to stay for a short or long period of time.

Good location, Great reception staff!

Hotel was located close to all attractions in the Old Town. The reception staff was Excellent. They anticipated my needs. Helped me to confirm my transport pick up for my tour to Halong Bay without me asking. They noticed I had made two separate bookings before and after Halong Bay. They pressed the lift buttons once I walked in through the door.

The service of the reception staff was first class. They spoke good English and were very helpful. The location of the hotel was also good- within walking distance to most places in the Old Town. What I did not like was the design on the bathroom. The glass divider on the bath tub was not long enough to stop water from splashing onto the floor of the bathroom. And housekeeping should wash the shampoo bottles. It was not pleasant to have to touch a slimy and soapy shampoo/conditioner/bath gel!

Very good hotel, only wish the room we got had a better bathroom. Otherwise wonderful hotel, great location and great hotel staff. Special thanks to Grace who was very helpful, friendly and made our stay better knowing we could ask her for help at any time. Would stay again.

Hotel is amazing, clean, great location, friendly and attentive staff. We had to leave early at the airport, they made sure to prepare us a great breakfast to go. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Cute colonial style room and property. Excellent breakfast buffet conveniently offered for four hours every morning. Staff super helpful and friendly. Only negative to this hotel is the front door. It’s hidden behind a gauntlet of parked motorbikes, plants, a street vendor partially blocking access and an occasional rubber hose on the ground. We also experienced a miscommunication about the minibar. My wife and I are certain that the representative showing us into the room said that the drinks were free. There was only one coke, one beer and some bottled water. We drank these daily and they were replaced but then we were charged for them. Airport pickup billed to room was nice. We would stay again.

All staff were exceptional, especially the front desk and Manager, Ian. Excellent location, in laneway with good choice of restaurants and couple of bars. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was on the 8th floor and had a good variety. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic hotel, great location. Very friendly and helpful staff, couldn't have done more for us. Some rooms don't have windows so upgrade to the best room available it doesn't cost much more. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is in the old town right beside the lake and everything is in walking distance. Have stayed here 3 times already and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Hanoi.

Nice place

Good location, large rooms. Very nice staff. Giving 3 stars just because manager wouldn’t allow a refund for one night we didn’t make it due to visa issues. All the details they sent in a welcome email, wish they would’ve mentioned they can assist with visa entry and/or to get one.

Great customer service

The room I was allocated didn't have any windows so was very dark. I made a comment about this in the hotel feedback and the team was quick to offer me a free airport transfer which was very much appreciated.

Hotel staffs were very attentive and professional. Service charges (clothes washing, airport pickup, etc.) were priced reasonably. The hotel is few minutes walking distance from hoàn kiếm lake, but is still shielded from traffic noises.

Fantastic small hotel but great location

From the moment step in to hotel check in to check out, experience is fantatstic. Greeted with welcome drink follow by guide instruction of hotel information, surrounding place of interest and upon check out even give out a free gift which was very pleasant and unexpected.

Incredible value and great service

The hotel staff, to a tee, were absolutely brilliant. The hotel is amazing value for money and in a superb location. I would 100% recommend.

Business trip but this area lives to my expectation. Great staffs and they all speak English very well. The area is at the heart of the old quater and easy access to everything. I prefer to walk around and enjoy the city can offer. Walk around the lake with nice fall weather (and decorated lighting) is grateful.

Lovely stay in prime location to everything

During our week’s stay, the concierge and reception provided wonderful tour services as well as recommendations on where to explore and eat. What we especially loved is how central and walkable to everything this hotel was. We felt completely safe and at ease. Breakfast was affordable and delicious. The staff was friendly, humble, and considerate, it felt like a nice family-run establishment.

A very charming, spacious and beautifully decorated hotel tugged into a quiet corner of Old Quarter of Hanoi. All the modern conveniences are in place. The staff was so polite and accommodating. I really enjoyed the the stay and no doubt will return here next visit to Hanoi.

Very friendly staff. A bit overpriced for what they offer. Close to many sights and easy to get around for shopping and dinning. Room need to more sound proof. Unless you are on the top floor expect foot steps. Also expect wall and hallway noise. Housekeeping does a very good job keeping rooms clean. Response to text messaging is very quick to get support.

First Class Friendly

A nice combination of luxury hotel with very friendly non pretentious Vietnamese staff. The rooms are big, nicely furnished, big windows, large bathroom, big enclosed shower, endless hot water, etc. The room and beds are super comfortable. The hotel is precisely managed and everything runs smoothly and works well. The ever present staff is super friendly and always looking for ways to brighten your stay and be of assistance. Ian in particular was outstanding with great English and travel assistance skills. He acquired visa extensions for us and advised us on what turned out to be the best part of our travels. We also learned about Vietnamese culture for the hotel staff. Tracy pointed us to local favorite restaurants with authentic Vietnamese devoid of tourists. You always feel like a special guest at this hotel. Superb spot for an extended stay.

The people at this boutique hotel and Hanoi were absolutely fabulous. They could not have been more kind and helpful. The hotel itself is located in the old part of the city very busy lots of traffic but also lots to see. Sadly the Air pollution was bad We were there and we had some difficulty being outside. I would recommend staying at this hotel the beds were comfortable the room was quiet and the staff was amazing.

Had an amazing experience at Imperial Hotel and Spa. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, helping to the best of their ability with all of our needs. The hotel had great cleanliness practices during the Covid 19 outbreak. Amazing location- directly in the middle of Hanoi old quarter, within 5 min walking distance to most attractions. Have nothing but good things to say about this hotel and would recommend to anyone looking for a great value hotel in Hanoi.

The property is in a great location for sightseeing in Hanoi but still having quite at night.

I don't even know where to begin with how blown away I was with this staff and property. I've spent years in the hospitality business and I can comfortably say this establishment is second to none. From Check-In to check-out everything was perfect. The location is prime right in the middle of everywhere you'd want to be, its even on a quite cute street with all sorts of great food and drink options. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure you're happiness. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best meals we had on our long holiday. I can go on and on complimenting everything about this place. We ended having to stay an additional night in Hanoi a couple weeks later into our trip due to a flight cancellation, and we didn't even bother searching for other places, staying here was an absolute no brainer. Highly recommend this place, keep up the fantastic work Imperial staff! I hope to see you all again.

My husband and I have stayed in various mid range and boutique hotels around the globe throughout our travels over the years. This hotel ranks as one of the absolute best in terms staff service, diligence, room cleanliness, and the extra discounts they offer clients. The breakfast buffet is good and we also got an upgrade to a junior suite without requesting for one, which of course enhanced our already positive experience. We had a late flight out and they let have a room to shower and reorganize our luggage, which was absolutely above and beyond what almost any other hotel would do. As s whole, this mid-range hotel gives us fantastic value for our money and if I could give them 10 stars for excellence, I would do so. Thank you so very much to Ian and his amazing team.

Great hotel in a great location

Great hotel, great staff and great location. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to start out our trip. The concierge was very helpful and even arranged our airport pickup when we flew to Danang. The rooms were very nice and even though the street below could get pretty busy it was pretty quiet in the room.

We stayed here at the end of 5 weeks in Vietnam, and I can say this was one of the places we enjoyed the most. It is tucked away on a quite street with good options for eating within close walking distance. The breakfast buffet has lots of yummy choices. I would highly recommend this hotel. How i am telling ..because i wanted to book for another night ... but i was too late too book and unfortunately all rooms got sold out for that day.. so we had gone to search many such hotels in that category. none of them are good as like this for the price ranges.. so we realized this is the best hotel. so strongly recommend for All others

Location was excellent, staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful.

The service was excellent. They always knew what was good to do in town and they arranged out domestic flights for us and were in general very thoughtful. When we need to take a a flight late at night, they arranged a pack away lunch for us and stayed there for us. The food in the restaurant was also very good, especially the phó. My only complaint is that the service is sometimes too good, and can be a little pushy.

Didn't dissapoint

Everything was up to standard in this hotel. Room was very comfortable and service was outstanding. Staff are always willing to help and always greet you with a smile. Great location in a boutique street 2 mins walk from lake and centre of Old Quarter.

Amazing

This place was so nice. I definitely would stay here if I am ever in Hanoi again. The staff is so hospitable. I had a beautiful room with a balcony looking over the street and a nice bathroom and comfy robe and slippers and the bed was so comfortable. I also had two massages while there and they were both great. I highly recommend this spot. It's also right in the middle of everything. Really close to the lake as well.

Newly renovated, clean and in a good location; 2min walk from the lake and Old Quarter...

This hotel was amazing! The staff were incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. They even gave us a gift at check out. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was also yummy. The location of the hotel was excellent to go to the night markets. I can’t fault this property. I highly recommend this property and will definitely be returning!

Good staff. Super clean and nicely designed rooms. Breakfast also quite good. My only issue is soundproofing- these kinds of hotels are not that quiet I guess because of the construction and wooden floors in rooms. That said though, carpets in communal areas outside rooms helps a lot, as does the fact the hotel is on a relatively quiet street in the old quarter.

Beautiful Hanoi

We had a fantastic time staying at Imperial Hotel Hanoi! Being a frequent traveller, the staff here are the best we have ever met, being very attentive, cheerful & prompt in their responses. The General Manager/bell boy ensured that we went into the right tour bus/taxi for our excursions. The hotel staff even celebrated my husband’s birthday with cake to start off his day. Location of hotel in the bustling Hanoi Old Quarters is perfect. It is near to sightseeing places, good restaurants & yet secluded enough for a goodnight sleep. Beautifully renovated hotel gives another thumbs up. I highly recommend this hotel to all travellers.

The hotel was absolutely excellent and I greatly enjoyed my stay there. Everything - from the service to the food to the room - was flawless. In particular, I was impressed by the service rendered by the staff to us, especially when it comes to managing tours and transportation. We were planning to take a Grab to the airport upon returning; they instead gave us a hotel vehicle with a cheaper price. I strongly recommend Hanoi visitors to stay here, if only to make your trip that much easier and better.

We were delighted by the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff Mr Ian Duong (General Manager), Mr Tuan Trinh (Customer Service Manager), Ms Tracy Do and others whom we did not manage to get their names. When we arrived, we were served the hotel's cinnamon tea, and Mr Duong gave us a good introduction of the surrounding area and recommended places we could visit. We later learnt more about the Halong Bay cruises from Mr Trinh and he helped us to book our one-day cruise. Throughout our stay, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They also helped us to purchase our tickets for the Thang Long Water Puppet Show in advance so that we could just take a five-minute walk to the theatre without worrying about the tickets. The hotel is in a very convenient location in Hanoi, and it is in a quieter street. Though the street gets closed off during the weekends, it is not an issue as it is just a short walk away if you want to take a cab. When we checked out on a Sat, the hotel staff helped to move our luggage to our arranged transport to the airport. We are impressed by the service provided by the hotel and will definitely choose to stay here again if we were to come back to Hanoi in the future.

Great Service

The best ever check in experience we ever had. Over a cup of welcome drink the front desk officer Hana Nguyen explained to us about our stay in the hotel and also provided very valuable tips about dos and donts in HaNoi and she personally escorted us to the room. Great hospitality! Room was goos. Matteess was comfortable. Breakfast was on the root top restaurant. Great personalised service by Tuan Trinh. Will highly recommend this hotel

excellent staff service, brilliant location

We had a great time staying in Imperial hotel and spa. The location is brilliant, only 3 mins away from Huan Kiem lake and in the old quarter. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They definitely go extra miles to serve their guests. We have changed the hotels in between and the doorman even took our luggage to the new hotel. The room is big, modern and very clean. I would say Imperial hotel is definitely one of the best hotels I have stayed. I recommend this hotel to everybody.
