Il Relais dell'Abazzia is a wonderful B&B in the quieter area of San Zeno, about 10 mins walk away from the madness of the city centre. Our room was very ample, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast were freshly prepared each morning and they were plentyful and very nice. Françoise was the perfect host, helping us in any way she could. Would recommend without hesitation.

A wonderful bed & breakfast near heart of Verona

The property is a beautifully renovated house, very close to the historic centre of Verona; an easy 14 to 15 minutes walk to the famous Arena, 20 to 25 minutes walk to the Duomo, with good neighbourhood restaurants only a few minutes away. The live-in host was charming and attentive. Breakfasts were excellent.

Françoise met us at the property when we arrived late and showed us a round the house. We enjoyed our breakfast in the garden every morning. Françoise was a lovely host. She drove us to the train station when there was no bus service and no taxi service.

Loved this property..comfortable and charming 'old school' construction from days gone by, with exposed beam ceilings, panel doors with mortised locks and old style lever latches. The bathtub was 'oversized' compared to the norm one sees and all amenities were included. Loved the backyard garden for a beautifully served breakfast by the hostess,Françoise. She was most accommodating with anything needed. A lovely hostess. Entry to/from the building was via a seperated door from her residence which gave everyone privacy. Great location to Verona. Will definitely stay with her again when we return to Verona.

Charming B&B in walkable Verona

A lovely & well-maintained B&B near old town Verona in a quiet residential neighborhood. Very clean, large room & en-suite bathroom, nice breakfast in beautiful & sunny back garden. Only 1 flight of stairs necessary to access the 4 bedrooms. Helpful & friendly Host. Highly recommend!

Wonderful B&B experience to enjoy Verona

My husband and I decided to spend 2 nights in Verona after skiing in the Dolomites, to break up the drive back to Malpensa/Milan airport. Francesca runs a wonderful B&B, in a great location just outside the bustle of the Main tourist area. Since it's Winter, the breakfast was inside and we did not experience the garden. Our room was very spacious, with a surprisingly modern bathroom. Very clean, with a great shower and we loved the towel warmer. It's a short (10 minute) walk to the center of town, and a great location to walk through the Main area.

The property is lovely and special and so is the owner and the staff. The best Pizzeria of Verona is around the corner and all of Veronas sights are in walking distance - awesome!

Quiet, pretty Inn with beautiful breakfast garden

We stayed 2 nights at the Relais d'Abbazia, exploring Verona and attending the opera at the Arena. The Relais is located a little bit outside of the main historic district, but almost around the corner from the beautiful Church of Saint Zeno. The room was large, rustic and extremely attractive. The beds had lovely carved wooden roses on the headboards, and ceiling had thick wooden beams, a bit like a farmhouse. Best of all was breakfast in the garden. Mme. Francois personally serves breakfast and makes eggs for her guests on requests. Tables are set in a garden full of flowering trees with a view of the tower of San Zeno over the garden wall. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the Arena from the Relais. The walk goes along the river to the Castle, very pleasant. A very relaxing and beautiful stay!

Amazing host, beautiful, traditional property

We loved our stay here. Very friendly and welcoming host who went above and beyond for us. The garden in particular is beautiful and so tranquil. We would recommend staying here.

Great hotel walking distance to city centre

We were very pleased with our choice of hotel. We were driving so didn’t want to stay right in the city centre. There is a public parking station just at the end of the street which was very convenient. The hotel has a lot of character and the breakfast area inside and out quite charming. The rooms had everything you need and the bathroom was spacious and quite modern. It was an easy walk into the city. Would definitely stay here again.

great place, wonderful hostess and great location

my wife and I had a fantastic 3 night stay with Francoise. She is the most gracious of hosts with wonderful European breakfasts, good conversation and helpful hints. The hotel is very small but wonderful and the location is great with much of the old city accessible within 15 minutes. She was also very helpful pointing out day trips and dinner ideas and we would return again in a heartbeat.

It was wonderful. It was above our expectations. The room was beautiful, clean and felt like home. The staff were wonderful, welcoming, attentive and provided excellent service. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast and hope to come back in the future.

Excellent in everyway. The host is welcoming and breakfast excellent. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, with the additional of a small lounge for communal use of the 3 rooms. Even added extras for free in the fridge with tea and coffee provided also. !0 min walk to central Verona and good local restaurants. Really one word describes this B&B - Excellent

Fab b n b in quiet location but only 10 min walk into centre down a lovely river walk. 10 min taxi to station. 5 min walk to lake guarda bus. Friendky helpful staff. Every home comfort. Rooms modern and clean. Little lounge and delightful small garden. Water coffee beer freely available. Breakfast selection not huge but beautifully presented and fresh and everything y really need eggs ham bread selection fresh fruit cereal yogurt jams honey fresh toms. Recommend highly

Located in an historic house close to the city center, the Relais dell Abbazia is an attractive B&B with a family atmosphere. The owner, a lady from Belgium maintains the premises impeccably and in the morning serves a fresh and delicious breakfast. She provides helpful advice about parking, restaurants and sights.

Delightful B & B

A wonderful B& B on a quiet residential street very close to the San Zeno Church, about ten minutes' walk to the Arena. Very helpful staff and owner, pleasant breakfast served outside if the weather allows. Upstairs TV room for the guests. Room was spacious with a large bathroom and full shower. A great choice if you are visiting Verona.

Beautifully designed space with home comforts!

Loved this gem in Verona. We chose it on the basis of other reviews, which were outstanding, and we were not disappointed at all! Francois was a lovely host, and we really enjoyed the little personal touches she added to our stay, such as having the room ready earlier than expected, and printing out train tickets. We could not imagine our stay in Verona anywhere else, and look forward to our next visit!

Brilliant B&B in Verona

Great location - just 10 minutes walk from all the main tourist attractions in the old town. The B&B is charming - both our bedroom and the bathroom were generously sized and delightfully furnished with every amenity. The wifi connection was also good. Françoise and her team were excellent hosts and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. She had some great recommendations for eating out nearby. Breakfast in the garden was a real treat. Would we go back again? Absolutely if we get the chance.

You can't ask for more!

Immaculate quality home very near a square with many shops. In a quiet neighborhood but also one block to landmarks. Kind helpful hosts, we wanted for nothing. Breakfast delightful and yummy and even prepared it earlier for us to accommodate our train departure. We walked with bags approx 25 minutes from train station when arrived. We did get a 15.00euro taxi when we left . The owner and her equally lovely assistant even provided helpful information for us to visit a family owned local winery which was a lovely add on to our trip.

A Hidden Gem Boutique Hotel

From the time we arrived to the time we left we were made to feel at home by francoise & her staff. It's the little things that make the difference & they were plentiful here. The rooms were very tastefully decorated & extremely comfortable. Breakfast was continental & served in the small hydrangea clad courtyard garden. Absolutely beautiful experience from start to finish. If you want someway to stay when visiting Verona this has got to be the place as its most definitely if not the best hotel we have ever stayed in.

Hübsches Bijou in ruhigem Wohnquartier

Ein wunderschönes Haus in einem ruhigen Wohnquartier in Gehdistanz zur Stadt. Das ganze Haus ist sehr gepflegt und bietet mit dem kleinen Garten eine ruhige Oase. Besonders gastfreundliches Detail; für die Gäste stehen in einem separaten Kühlschrank kaltes Wasser und Bier zur freien Verfügung. Danke Francoise, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Consiglio vivamente: una manciata di stanze in un edificio ristrutturato con cura in ogni dettaglio mantenendo un sapore d'altri tempi, in una zona centrale ma molto tranquilla, a 12 minuti a piedi dall'Arena. Proprietaria gentilissima e disponibile. Super!

sehr gemütliche Unterkunft, zum wohlfuehlen, grosses Bad und auch Schlafzimmer, sehr sauber Frühstück nach Wunsch zubereitet im Garten zwischen blühenden Sträuchern und Blumen, sehr sehr erholsam Lage zur Arena, Fussweg 15 Minuten, alles in allem fuer uns perfekt.Nette Restaurants, cafes etc um die Ecke

La pensión es preciosa, las habitaciones están decoradas con mucho gusto. Gracias al aire acondicionado la temperatura y el aire eran muy agradables y pudimos dormir muy bien. El baño es muy espacioso y práctico. El desayuno lo tomamos un día en el jardín y otro en la cocina, ambas muy agradables. La calidad del desayuno, mantequilla, mermelada, yogur, cereales, mortadela…, es buena pero podría mejorar un poquito, cuando las medidas contra la pandemia no oblige a tener todo empaquetado. Las raciones son abundantes. Françoise es muy cordial. Me alegro mucho de haber tenido la suerte de estar en esta pensión maravillosa.

A place that touches your soul

What a wonderful little place this is! I was brought to a beautiful and spacious room, with just a small touch of something special. In the early morning I found a small table in the garden set just for me. From the kitchen I could select from fresh fruits, yogurths and freshly baked bread. Cakes and italian meat cuts laid on large plates. Singing birds accompanied me during my breakfast. The Il Relais is a calm and peaceful destination which will, if you allow it, touch your soul. Breathe.

Todo estuvo excelente, pasamos unos días maravillosos, empezando por lo cómodo y terminando por la excelente atención. No dudamos en recomendarlo ampliamente.

Il Relais è in una zona tranquilla, ma vicino al centro, la padrona di casa è stata ospitale e disponibile. La stanza è arredata in modo molto raffinato ed è molto silenziosa. La colazione buona e nei mesi estivi si può godere del piccolo, ma grazioso giardinetto, attiguo alla cucina. Abbiamo trovato parcheggio vicinissimo al Relais e la signora ci ha fornito di pass per non pagare. Torneremo sicuramente!

Un piccolo idilio

Splendido B&B provvisto di tutti i confort necessari,curato nei minimi dettagli dalla proprietaria che si è sempre dimostrata attenta gentile e disponibile. Piccola abbazia molto rinnovata contraddistinta da un ambiente calmo e rilassante.L'ocation che incorona al meglio un viaggio a verona Consiglio vivamente per coppie che vogliono concedersi un weekand in dolcezza.

Ótimo Bed and Breakfast muito bem localizado. Quarto confortável com TV e ar-condicionado! Banheiro grande e moderno! Café da manhã caseiro e gostoso. A proprietária é muito simpática e indica ótimos restaurantes.

Väldigt bra beläget BoB i Verona. Endast 4 rum, gjorde allt familjärt. Gångavstånd till gamla stan och arena. Det enda som ej var på topp var de hårda sängarna. Kan rekommendera och reser gärna tillbaks.

Pequeño hotel con 4 habitaciones, cuidado con el máximo empeño. Tiene un jardín muy agradable para usar a placer del cliente. El personal es encantador.

Et perfekt overnattingssted i Verona

Il Relais dell'Abbazia er en liten perle som anbefales på det sterkeste. Det er et førsteklasses Bed & Breakfast med bare tre eller fire rom. Vårt rom var romslig og sjarmerende, med stort og flott bad. Rensligheten var topp. Men det viktigste er den personlige servicen - en opplevelse av å være på besøk i et hjem, men likevel med hotellfølelse. Det er en liten stue til felles bruk for gjestene, hvor man også finner gratis kaffe, te, øl og vann. Frokosten med ferskpresset juice og egg tilberedt etter ønske blir servert i den idylliske hagen med utsikt til San Zeno-kirketårnet. Nabolaget er hyggelig, det er flere gode restauranter i området, og piazzaen like ved pensjonatet er et trivelig og ikke-touristy alternativ med flere hyggelige serverings- og spisesteder. Det er bare ca. 15 minutters gange til Arena di Verona, så vi spaserte daglig til sentrum av denne vakre byen. Dagstur med buss til Gardasjøen foretar man enkelt fra busstoppet som ligger 7 minutter fra pensjonatet, og et besøk til Venezia tar 1 time og 20 minutter med tog. Vertinnen og hennes assistent er svært behjelpelige med opplysninger om reisemuligheter og andre behov. Kort sagt: Vi kommer svært gjerne tilbake!
