The rooms were too dark, the bar was closed, we had to ask for a corkscrew for the bottle, there was none in the room, the smell of the hotel was very strong.

Very stylish hotel in the heart of the Old town steps away from the Duoro river, ribeira and the main bridge. Breaksfast and service were geeat, I highly recommend this hotel!

Be sure to ask for a “Superior “ room. Standard rooms are small and have NO SPACE for clothes. No place for handicapped! Stairs everywhere. Location in heart is Old City and CONSTRUCTIION.

Our family of four spent spent a little bit over a week at this lovely hotel. From check-in to check-out, we were always greeted with a friendly smile and a warm hello. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the beautiful Douro River and within easy walking distance of all the must-see landmarks in this stunning city. We loved how everything we wanted to explore was right at our fingertips, from the historic Ribeira district to the charming streets of Porto. The hotel itself is a gem. The decor is chic and sophisticated, but it still feels warm and cozy—exactly what you want after a day of sightseeing. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had all the comforts we could ask for. It was the perfect retreat at the end of each day. Breakfast was a highlight. Included in the room rate, it was way beyond the typical hotel breakfast. The variety and quality were fantastic—definitely something we looked forward to every morning. But what really made our stay special was the staff. They were all so friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile or a recommendation. A huge shoutout to César at the reception—he was simply amazing. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and even gave us some fantastic local tips that made our trip even better. Great property! The staff were extremely kind, attentive, and professional. Breakfast was great and it’s in a great area. Walking distance to the river, bars, restaurants, and shopping. The only con was the rooms were pretty dark as they offer dim lighting, otherwise great stay!

Great location, room very dark

The hotel location was great for visiting the Port Warehouses across the river, the staff was really really nice, and the breakfast was good. Our particilar room, 209, was very nice inside, was clean and very comfortable. The only downside was the location of the room. The window did not face the street where there would have been light, but faced a small rectangle, kind of like a courtyard, but it was tiny. This made the room very dark and cave-like. If you like a dark room, then this one is for you.

I had a great time at the property. Breakfast was yummy. The staff was friendly. It was close to a lot of sights. The room were a nice size and very clean. Highly recommend

Beautifully decorated boutique hotel with kind, helpful staff and delicious breakfast. It’s spotless and everything feels very new, mid-century modern in a totally refurbished space I really liked it and highly recommend it.

The placed alone my Two kids in a room withoit attention of adulta because the y want us to a 3rd room that es innecesary. We had to pay for the thord room in order to enter the hotel and we never use this room. Terrible people

Fantastic last minute getaway for Thanksgiving to Porto at Icon Duplo Ribeira Hotel. I arrived early and was able to drop my bags and eat lunch while they worked on getting my room ready a bit early. Cesar at the front desk was helpful throughout my stay with restaurant recommendations Hotel is right in the middle of everything and you're within easy walking to many restaurants, the Duoro river, metro/bus station and a nice bonus is that you have a traditional Fado show across the street. Rooms are nice size and the breakfast is delicious. My only even better is if someone at hotel reaponded to my pre arrivals emails for how to hlget to Hotel and tour suggestions. However, once here tbe staff is quite accompdating. P.S. There is construction around Porto for a underground metro station, it didnt impact the hotel or my stay.

Beautiful rooms. Large shower. Front desk people are helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was okay. We got there about 45 minutes before it ended and it was slim pickings. Great location. Close to train station.

Very convenient location. Felt that lighting in the room was inadequate. Needed a central light to be able to carry out simple tasks like suitcase packing easily. Lovely easy access shower and bathroom. Best lit area of room.

We were high up overlooking a very busy street and though the windows opened to get a feel for the weather and the city, as soon as the windows were closed, it was very very quiet. Service was always friendly and efficient and we were able to leave our luggage there after checkout until our train time was closer. It’s a very convenient location in the Rebeira neighborhood

Great location, great breakfast, nice room. Upon arrival we were given three restaurants recommendations (Escama and Terriero) and we made it to two of them and both were superb. The other one was completely reserved every night.

What outstanding service in this pretty, well-located hotel right in the heart of old-town Porto! The minute we walked in the door the friendly staff was there to attend to our every need, always with a smile and always checking to see that we were totally satisfied. Our room was impeccably clean and comfortable, and breakfast was hearty and delicious. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend.

Good stay with some minor inconveniences.

Our experience at this hotel was mixed a bit but mainly on the positive side. For the amazing things, the staff are just simply lovely and ready to help on any request. It is clear that customer service is their specialty! Breakfast is excellent. You really cannot beat the location. It is a 10 minute walk from anywhere you would like to visit in Porto including a few minutes to the tram to get to Foz do Duoro and few minutes to get to the Dom Luis bridge to get across to Vila Nova de Gaia. There are some minor inconveniences, we had wished the hotel would correct (they are probably already working on it though). First, the main internet is weak for anyone on an apple computer. I only realized that it wasn't me after an hour of fiddling and when I called and got onto a different network. I think they should make this information readily available when you check-in. The TV cable doesn't work and didn't work for the 5 days that we were there. One might say that you shouldn't really be watching TV while in Porto...but it's great to have the news on in the morning when you are getting ready for the day or at night just before retiring. There are no receptacles for garbage and the mini can in our bathroom was broken. It was not replaced while we were there. You need to ask for an iron; they do not provide facial cloths; and you cannot adjust the temperature in your room. They mentioned that the hotel is fairly new so I'm sure they will iron out these details.

The property was centrally located in the Ribiera neighhborhood that was walking distance to everything! Beautiful, spacious rooms and attentive staff.

Hotel is well located with easy access to the water if you are taking tours/cruises and with plenty of restaurants around to walk to. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would return to the hotel if in the area again.

Amazing hotel in strategic location

I stayed at Icon Duplo Ribeira hotel in Porto with friends. The staff are all super friendly- at reception, showing us our rooms, and at the breakfast area as well. The room temperature is just right, high ceilings, lovely windows, beautiful interior design, very modern washrooms. The amenities provided are all a nice touch. Location is central, walking distance to the water, to the bridge, to city wineries, sap bento train station, and Michelin restaurants. The breakfast that comes with the room surpassed expectations - the buffet was healthy with fresh fruits juices as well as introduction of local delicacies. Fully recommend!
