I stayed at the Ichan Qala for 16 days while doing some work in Tashkent. My room was large and well appointed and the staff was great.

Really nice hotel. Everything was good. Definitely will recommend to my friends and will come back.

Location was out of the way requiring taxis.

Beautiful hotel

The building itself is a historical building. The staff were very helpful and there was live traditional music at the breakfast!

The property itself is unique and the grounds are well kept. We stayed in a junior suite room, which provided everything needed and was large and very clean. We currently work in Tashkent and I had planned a surprise 'get-away' and booked two massages for my husband and me. After I had mine, we were told that there was an issue with the heating in the room, and we had to change location to our room. They would bring a massage table. However, I did not want this, as it was all a surprise for my husband, and therefore the staff provided us with another room just for his massage, complimentary tea and fruit/nuts; we were also told we will not be charged for the second massage. All went very smoothly afterwards. Upon checkout the next morning, we were not charged for my husband's massage. Breakfast takes place in the restaurant which is spacious and tastefully decorated. Enjoyed the traditional music/musiciaians. Food was very good and varied; fruit, veggies, yogourt, cereal, breads, etc. Nice and fresh. Coffee a little weak for my taste. Some suggestions: perhaps for the large bed in the suite, have a 2 more pillows, ensure there are two housecoats, pairs of slippers; large shower head could work a bit better. For the massage, it would nice to have a larger room for two beds for couples getting a massage at the same time, and quiet, relaxing music. But these are suggestions only. I would definitely go back to stay at Ichan Qala. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

A delightful experience.

A very charming hotel. The unit was very comfortable and the grounds were very nice. We especially enjoyed the breakfast in the elegant dining hall with local music. I will definitely stay here again.

A good welcome to Tashkent

Welcoming and helpful staff; spacious, comfortable and well-equipped room and bathroom; good choice at buffet breakfast; safe area; walking distance to many restaurants and metro station.

The 24h restaurant service is extraordinary, as were the staff in the restaurant The hotel facilities including swimming pool were absolutely excellent and the staff were outstandingly generous and helpful throughout, including, at the end of our brief stay, not only organising tickets for the train from Tashkent to Samarquand, but also accompanying us in a mad rush to the train station just in time to catch the train, which was only possible because of this intervention by the hotel staff. A quite exceptional hotel. The 5* evaluations are fully deserved

This property is a Kitsch modern luxury take off on the Ichan Qala. No Incomplete minaret but still mind blowing. Pool and sauna make it a perfect place to relax after time on the road.

Pretty old fashioned. The main restaurant closed - so only available one a long way and up 2 stairs. Shower was unimpressive - no deluge. Didn't seem very 5 star to us.

I like the style of the rooms and the disposition, the rooms are spacious. The breakfast is nice and the staff is very lovely and helpful special Valeria and her friend, sorry that I forgot the names. The staff at the reception are very friendly. Spent a pleasant evening in the small garden and the bar with a young lovely staff always ready to help you. The gym, the sauna, the indoor and the outdoor swimming pool are good. We spent a wonderful time. Small details what it could make the hotel perfect that they should check the sanitary is working well after each occupation and and before the next guest. After all my staying was very good.

Great helpful staff, spacious room, healthy breakfast with life music, hotel is located in a quiet area near a park

Breakfast is buffet style and has a fabulous selection of pastries, bread, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit and dried fruit with various teas on offer too. The place is very beautiful to look at as well as quiet and comfortable to stay in. They organised taxis for us to the train station and also the airport. Very peaceful and well kept and the staff were friendly and helpful.

One of the best hotels that I have ever been in

Fancy hotel but didn't like the area

Really nice hotel with all the little things that you need. The atmosphere wasn't great and the area was a bit dead - maybe because I was here on New year's day and everything was closed! They did a little packed breakfast for me as I was leaving really early in the morning. The room and bed was very comfortable.

Great value! Wonderful Gym and indoor pool. Excellent staff especially Yasmin, Mirolim and Shokhrukh who helped us navigate airline problems with efficiency and good humor. You won’t regret staying at Ichan Qal’a.

Beautiful property - the hotel is conveniently located from the airport. Amazing spread for breakfast with live music and very friendly staff. The room was only average sized and although it had all the basic amenities, the bed was quite small. Overall a 3.5 to 4/5 experience!

Overall, the Ichan Qalla is an excellent hotel. Its very centrally located, a short walk from an excellent cafe (B&B), the rooms are very clean (But they get hot quickly so be sure to open the windows in the Winter), and the hotel staff are excellent. My only critique is the restaurant - The breakfast is not that great, A lot of meat and heavy (non-breakfast) sort of food. Since its a world-class boutique hotel, I think they need to expand their breakfast options. Maybe have more eggs and other continental breakfast type assortments. Also the staff in the morning is very slow. Allbeit, I was showing up to breakfast early, it was hard to get someone to give me a cup of coffee. Certainly would not stop me from staying there again but just want to pass this on to management.

Great place in Tashkent

Beautiful Villa style hotel with a 24/7 restaurant that will service you anything on their menu at any time. The staff was wonderful and extremely hospital. I felt pretty special staying here. The breakfast was buffet was pretty good as well.

Difficulties calling in advance to arrange transport from the airport as no email provided. This was overcome by a kind Uzbek who called and struggled with reception to confirm. Very happy that it worked out and was met at airport as requested. I wanted to sleep for the day before flying out early in the morning. The bed was great, Internet perfect room service fast and good, and great shower. These were the main services I used during my short stay. I would stay again for the same purpose, less than 10 mins from the airport

Second time that I stayed there (for several nights each time) and the whole staff is particularly helpful which makes your stay so much better.

Good property with reasonable price of classic building

A nice, clean hotel for your stay in Tashkent

The hotel was a nice standard for Tashkent - very clean, big rooms and great breakfast. There were certain things that wouldn't meet international 5star standards, but nothing important. All in all, I'd recommend for the quality/price.

We had to pay an extra $45 for check in a few hours early, which we did not find out until we arrived even though we emailed a few days before to let them know we would arrive early but the extra charge was not mentioned. Plus we had to pay an extra $15 because the booking only showed for one person, so doubling the price of our stay in total. We could see the extra person was a mistake and the staff were very kind so it was not a huge problem for us. The hotel is in a set of nice buildings, with clean rooms. However, we were not able to sleep well as the room temperature was far too hot and we could not open the window during the night as there was very loud noise from the staff talking right outside all night. In better weather when the heating is off, this probably wouldn’t be a problem. It was close to the airport, the staff were friendly and the place was fine, so all in all, it is a decent place to stay for a night in Tashkent.

great hotel in a great location.

This hotel is located within ten minutes from the airport and close enough to the center of the city that its perfect. I like the quietness and safety of the street. The hotel staff is actually excellent and really are very attentive.

Great place to get some rest in Tashkent

The hotel is situated in a side street, some distance from the Centre. This means it is very quiet at night, which is a big plus for me. The rooms are comfortable, well-furnished and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would happily stay here again,

Gem in Tashkent

We made this reservation really last minute when we had an issue with another hotel. We loved Ichan Qala! They upgraded us since the hotel wasn't fully booked. Their service was excellent, the room was beautiful! Adam, at reception, was exceptionally helpful and his English was perfect. Breakfast was included. The croissants and pastries were all individually wrapped in plastic wrap which seemed much more sanitary than if they had all been out in the open. The AC worked great, the property was beautiful, and while we didn't get to use the pool, it looked fantastic. Really great stay, would definitely stay their again if we return to Tashkent.

I wasnt prepared for such an amazing place. So clean. So comfy. Highly reccomended

Beautiful Hotel

Beautiful hotel--a series of red brick buildings around a garden area, secluded from the street, which itself is in a secluded, leafy residential area of Tashkent. Only drawback is that breakfast was not included.

Speciality local hotel

It does not look like a traditional hotel. Rather it looks like a fortres form the outside. As soon as you get in you discover a set of villas, located in an isolated courtyard, lovely decorated in a traditional style. This is very much in-line with a local archtecture.
