Perfectly located a short walk from one of the main metro stations, the staff were super friendly and the hotel building, lounge and reception had a lovely boutique feel. The room slightly let it down with the uncomfortable bed and somewhat basic bathroom and furnishings. Still, the service and brilliant location made up for these minor issues.
Overall experience was great! The staff are helpful and the area is very safe and close to dining places. The only thing that was missing in our medium size room was airconditioning.
Lovely hotel with great service and in a good location, walkable to all the main sights. Would recommend and would stay again. The free drink between 5-6pm was a nice touch.
Friendly staff and good vibes. Nice hotel overall.
Wonderful lace.
super cozy
We had a wonderful stay!
I loved the cozy hour and was able to chat with other guests. My only negative point was I personally are not a fan of a wet room I much would rather have a shower cubicle if give a choice as the floor takes a while to dry.
The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here next time I am in Copenhagen.
There was nothing to fault with our stay at the Ibsen hotel at all.
Lovely hotel, bar area with beautiful fresh flowers and location. Our floor was a squeaky, and it was tough to keep rest of bathroom dry with shower curtain. Beds were comfy and warm. Thank you!
Everyone was very nice and helpful!
The Ibsen Hotel Copenhagen was perfect for our 1-week stay, 1-block from Torvehallerne Food Market, which we visited almost daily, Norreport Metro station is just 2-blocks away, and from there you can get to anywhere in the city in minutes! Each and every staff member was so friendly and customer service oriented, can’t say enough good things about the staff! And the 5:00-6:00 Cozy Hour was a great addition! Would definitely stay there again the next time we are in Copenhagen!
Great location for train, shopping and dining. Hotel reception area and bar nice. Cosy hour with a free drink is a good idea. Room was small, no wardrobe, limited tea and coffee so bought our own tea. Not keen on level floor shower. Room was well cleaned though. Overall good hotel close to amenities would be happy to recommend for a budget stay. Pay more if you are after more luxury.
Ideal hub for a 3 night stay in Copenhagen. The rooms aren’t huge but they feel authentic and comfortable enough. The cosy hour free drink is perfect just before heading out for evening meal. All the staff are lovely while being completely professional too. Can’t fault it.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Good hotel but needs some TLC
Overall hotel was ok, staff are friendly and hotel was in a good laction close to train station etc. However the hotel was more like a 3 star, the room was quite small and i wasn't a fan of the wet room and lack of storage. The beds were comfy but pillows were an odd shape. Our room was also next to red light sign saying hotel and had a red glow all night through the blind. They didnt have black out curtains which was a shame as that would have helped. In hindsight i should have asked to moved rooms.
We loved every minute and cant wait to book again, very clean, comfortable, staff so friendly and we LOVED cosy hour!
Excellent customer service by three reception staff and room cleaners
Amazing stay, beautiful room, excellent staff..could not fault it
Nice vibe
Staff super helpful and welcoming. Nice vibe
Great hotel, convenient to everything a tourist would be interested in. Staff was very helpful and spoke English very well.
.
The nicest hotel I’ve visited. So pretty inside, great artwork, wonderful courtyards and outside space. Warm and welcoming inside by the fire, a lovely treat to get a glass of wine on the house . The breakfast choice is out of this world. The staff are so welcoming. The bed has is ridiculously comfortable. I’d love to come back.
Clean, Friendly, well positioned hotel
The hotel was lovely and clean, nicely designed with some great features to the decor- I liked the map carpets! Staff were super friendly and helpful. A great position in Copenhagen to visit all the sights on foot
This hotel is more of a motel. The staff is very nice, but the rooms are very old and small. Not functioning well either, doesn’t look like the pics
We loved this hotel Great location and great area Close to everything
The hotel staff were really friendly, the breakfast was in the sister hotel just across the court yard, the selection and quality were amazing. It was a fantastic stay.
Ibsens new year 2024.
Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Ibsens hotel. My only gripe is that the beds aren't great for a tall person like myself. Felt like I was going to fall out of the bed as the double is just two small singles pushed together. Staff are friendly and the hotel is in a fantastic area for getting around the city. The metro to the airport is very close by too.
Welcoming, friendly, unstuffy.
Very friendly and accomodating staff, the hotel is only a couple of blocks from Torvahallerne market, which we love. Shopping further down the street. Ibsens is the sister hotel of Kong Arthur which is almost never available. Breakfast at Ibsens if offered at Kong Arthur.
All good
The room was very clean and safe. We went during the winter and the room was warm. Staff is very kind and offered suggestions of things to do and see. The hotel is a short walk from the metro making it easy to move around the city.
Location
Great little break in Copenhagen perfect hotel location would recommend
Amazing hotel, lovely friendly and welcoming staff
Easy to get to from airport
The staff were all super friendly, we really enjoyed the cosy hour concept as well :)
Very comfortable
Very comfortable
Fabulous stay at this hotel. Great vibes in the bar area.
Fabulous location, incredibly nice and helpful staff, great breakfasts, clean and quiet
Great place, would love to come back !
I would really recommend this hotel, we stayed for two nights and it was lovely. Close to get into the centre by walking or bike and also very close to the metro which can take you to the airport in 15mins. The only downside is there there was no dinner options available in the hotel itself and also the floorboards outside our room in the corridor were squeaking when people walked past which was annoying. Other than that it was a lovely stay! We loved the use of the luggage room at no extra cost! Thankyou
The staff is lovely and the main areas are very comfortable. Definitely take advantage of "Cozy Hour." The rooms fine, but the walls are quite thin so be prepared to hear your neighbors very well. The bathroom had an odd smell that made me think that it wasn't cleaned very well and the water pressure sucked. But the location cannot be beat.
Great service, facilities, and price. Would recommend to anyone coming to Copenhagen
We had a fantastic 4 night stay at Ibsens. All of the staff are lovely and ver helpful. Cosy hour free drink is an added bonus. Great area to stay. Wouldn’t recommend and stay again!
Excellent staff. Very comfortable stay. Location was perfect
Great Location and Friendly Atmosphere at Ibsens
Ibsens Hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Copenhagen. It boasts a great location, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and public transport, yet remains quiet and peaceful. The hotel has a friendly and welcoming staff who create a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the stay. The area is convenient for exploring nearby neighborhoods and attractions, making it a perfect base for both relaxation and sightseeing. Whether you’re looking to explore the city or unwind, Ibsens Hotel offers a comfortable and well-situated experience.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Staff is professional and helpful. Great happy hour wine!
Very clean and convenient to shopping and restaurants.
Great place for the price but the big downside for me was the tiny bathroom with no shower space to speak of. Not something I ever want to experience again.
Very good
The included happy hour and common areas were really great, and the neighborhood is awesome
Really loved this place. Perfect location, amazing friendly and helpful staff and super clean and comfy beds. We didn't have the correct adapter and they had a selection for us to borrow. We also didn't have an umbrella and there was a very cheap rental in the lobby - wonderful idea. The free glass of wine or beer at night was a perfect end to a busy day and a really nice treat.
The Staffs are very nice.
Ibdens is in a fabulous, safe, easy access to everything location. Free wine at 4 daily is a plus!!
Room is very nice. Really big with a nice view. Cleanliness is up there. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast is great! Lots of option
Room was covered in bugs. staff was not helpful with cleaning the room. there was mold in the shower
Sss
This hotel was a great find! Clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s surrounded by shops, restaurants, and great sightseeing. Can’t say enough good things about it
Lovely hotel. Wonderful staff.
Super easy to get to on public transport from the airport. Walkable to everything. In a cheerful buzzy neighbourhood which was just perfect - fun but never disturbingly loud. This quirky hotel with its wonderfully welcoming and helpful reception ( fantastically communicative even prior to arrival) captures the vibe perfectly. My room was a little old ( not complaining as this was fairly reflected in the price) but thoughtfully laid out and provisioned. * A star missing simply because house-keeping was a little inconsist ( the cleaning was not the problem); some days one would be left with no stirrers and a little pile of paper coasters for no discernable reason :)
Ibsens Hotel was lovely. Great for single older lady traveling alone. Felt safe walking in area. Desk clerks were all friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast buffet at neighboring hotel. Good eating suggestions from desk staff.
This hotel was a great spot to stay at, really close to a Metro and train station.
Good spot for exploring the city.
Really friendly staff. Great "cozy hour" drinks for guests. Excellent breakfast buffet (served in the adjacent hotel). Kind of noisy but you're in the heart of downtown in a great location, so it's not the countryside, OK? Excellent restaurant across the street - Kalaset - and an easy walk to lots of places. We walked all the way from the heavy tourist areas of Nyhawn etc and yes it took 20 or 30 minutes but not a bad walk at all. Main thing is the staff -- all very friendly.
Great location, few minutes walk to subway, food street and food market close by, staff are friendly. Hotel has a cozy welcome with free beer or glass of wine everyday from 4pm to 7 pm. Breakfast is good Nordic breakfast with staff services. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Copenhagen.
Very nice central hotel. Easy for metro and trains. Excellent food market close by. Staff very friendly and helpful
Lovely hotel in a great area
Very helpful staff. Very clean room. Parking close by. Walking distannce to Tivoli Gardens. We got the larger toom.
If you are contemplating this hotel, book it!! We had a medium room which was not huge, but ample for 2 of us for 3 nights. And a bathroom you could move around in! Great location for exploring the city, awesome, friendly staff and pleasant clean decor with a cute view of the street. Loved our stay here and would highly recommend.
The Ibsen is a jewel - great location, fun and funky vibe, great “cozy hour” and walkable to so many great attractions and restaurants. We will return!
We did have an issue with the room in that they did not have the room we had reserved which was bigger than the one we got. But at least they apologized. Casper and Oscar and all the staff were all great.
Property was great but street noise was quite bad most nights til at least three in the morning with loud pedestrians and cyclists returning home from the bars and clubs.
Slightly quirky hotel, was a fun place to stay and perfectly located between areas. Could do with more than one loo in the reception/lounge area.
Great location, loved the neighborhood. Hotel has a great reception area, very inviting and comfortable. Staff are very nice and informative. I especially enjoyed cozy hour. Room was nice had a great view of city. From the hotel you can walk to everything. I would definitely come back
The room was very nice and well maintained and clean. The staff is super helpful. The room had a funny card under the bed about the lack of monsters there and a card from the cleaning staff showing them with their heads sticking out of the bed. They even have their own guidebook to the area with their favorites. You can get food at a nearby food hall but sign up for the Nordic breakfast at least one day. They offer free drinks from 5 to 7 pm, which they call cozy hour. We would definitely stay there again if ever back in Copenhagen.
Excellent hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and hotel immaculately clean. We booked a large room and there was ample space with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was also very good with plenty of choice and excellent coffee. Highly recommend.
We had an "extra large" room with king bed. After a cozy cruise ship cabin, the room size was splendid. Comfy mattress. Hypoallergenic bedding, as requested. Huge, well appointed bathroom. Lobby and dining spaces, indoor and out, are comfortable, beautifully decorated, and plentiful. Do sign up for the DAILY BREAKFAST BUFFET - wide variety of good and drink options; lovely dining areas indoors and out. BEST FEATURE: Amiable, truly helplful staff. Two items that may disappoint your expectations if you don't read the detailed description: [1] No a/c. Afternoons get toasty in summer, and open windows in the evening on the street-view rooms let in patio cafe noise as well as a breeze. Get a courtyard view room if you go to bed early and need quiet. Each room has a standing fan, but I suggested ceiling fans to move air more effectively. [2] No closets, only smallish racks for hangers. In small rooms, this may be a pragmatic compromise. In the extra large rooms, though, installing a closet between the room door and the bathroom door would be more efficient.
My room on the second floor was very noisy at night because of close by night life - very loud voices outside until early morning hours. Overall the room was clean and comfortable and the staff is excellent.
Highly recommend Ibsens hotel
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the metro and also close to tourist areas.
Friendly staff. Cool neighborhood.
Quaint. Older hotel. Clean. Well tended. No air in our room. But lovely view. Staff very helpful. Lots of nightlife and eating nearby. Tram two blocks away. Reasonable price.
Warm friendly staff. Great area within walking distance to attractions .
Lovely hotel in a great area, we enjoyed our stay. We didnt eat here but breakfast was £25 approx per person which we declined when we realised the price. Also only one teabag supplied as standard in a twin room.
Ibsens has an ideal location , close to a metro station and food market . However the rooms are a bit small , there was no storage facility for clothes or to hang them in the bathroom . The staff was helpful and ever ready with suggestions
Attic top floor room, the roof cut into space to move around. The custodian used the same elevator as patrons, it was often tied up or limited room for families. The cozy hour free wine or juice was nice. Oscar and staff were very helpful w/directions and recommendations.
The staff immediately welcomed us with such warmth and kindness. This hotel is conveniently located in a safe neighborhood near the market. We will definitely come back.
Absolutely loved this property. Perfect stay in a lovely area of the city. Really lovely atmosphere and service was excellent
Superb friendly and cool! Loved cosy hour. Would recommend and return
Great location , complimentary drink each day, eclectic. Shower crazy but given being an old building in historic area
The staffs are very nice and helpful
Such a charming hotel! We stayed at the top floor and had a great unique room with a big window and skylights. Bathroom had the European style shower without separate walls, but we got used to it. Very friendly and helpful staff, and great breakfast buffet at the neighboring hotel. The neighborhood was so cute and felt very safe. Just a short walk to Nørreport station and other main Copenhagen sites.
Excellent hotel. Great location, friendly staff. Also get a free drink at the bar for “cosy hour” between 5-6pm each day. Would recommend!
Nice hotel in good location.
Great location - in a walkable neighborhood. Close to good restaurants and the metro. Clean, nicely furnished room.
Perfect stay! We can’t wait to return! Staff went above and beyond, location was perfect, and we loved the hotel itself!
We enjoyed the hotel. The location was excellent. The staff were great, really friendly and helpful.
