Yogyakarta trip
It was great to stay there, staff were friendly and location was great too. Breakfast was so delicious and easy to accessible for shopping, food and mall.
A great place to stay in Yogyakarta
If your staying in Yogyakarta then this is a great hotel, which is within walking distance of Malioboro street the main shopping and museum area. The staff are welcoming and provide a friendly supportive service. The rooms are clean and comfortable, I had no problems sleeping. The breakfast is delicious and the swimming pool on the roof top was a perfect place to relax. Make sure you visit Borobudur & Prambanan Temples.
The hotel was central and clean. The pool area was nice although we did not get to enjoy it much since we were busy during the day and the pool shut down at 6pm. It would have been nice if the pool stayed open later so we could use it in the evening.
Handsoap is missing. Shower curtain will be nice.
Mom really enjoyed her stay
Location and easy access
Good location but the hotel need an upgrade
Hot water not hot enough.
Great and clean property.
its convenient place but bit old facilities
It’s ok
Bedroom dated but very comfortable, hotel is in the center of city so walk able to attractions and locations. Breakfast was good, restaurant on the roof was excellent. staff very helpful and professional
Good location, clean, breakfast delicious
Basic
Basic hotel in a strategic location. Room is aging and could do with freshening up.
Staff at the desk were so helpful. Easy check-in and smooth check-out.
Very near shopping
When checking in the receptionist told my niece that she can’t used the pool area because not checking in yet. My niece arrived at the hotel very early so she have to wait at the lobby where not comfortable. She should be able to used the pool area while waiting for the checking in. Then the room totally different as on the picture and the view from the window not the downtown but the dark light of the RUKO( business property ). Also the price comparison with other provider little higher. Other provider shows the price either $19 or $20
Close to the mall and the to the palace and Malioboro street.
Great location and great staff. However this hotel is being used a lot by local (domestic) tourism where people arrive by the bus loads and take up all the common areas with baggage and loud conversation. Breakfast is always a battle with the hoards who pile on everything from the buffet. It's commercial and business income for the hotel I guess, and probably not quite suitable for foreigners.
great hotel at a good deal! would recommend. Though perhaps more breakfast options in the future
Subpar stay in Yogyakarta
Low water pressure made shower disappointing. Towels were dirty looking and bath towels were non absorbing. Quality of food served at breakfast was sub standard. Service personnel were not proactive and you have to tell them what to do ( like removing used plates from crowded table) and what not to do( like going around with the broom and dustpan sweeping the floor when guests are having breakfast). Room was still not made up when I returned to hotel at 2pm.
A very convenient location, close to Malioboro, pubs, and public transport. Good massage at Shaziya, just a couple of doors down. Wasnt too happy with the breakfast and they refused to pick me at the train station, 15000rp by grab, not a big deal.
Hotel was ok ... but
The hotel itself was nice....although not as nice as the website pictures suggest. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was good, cleaned daily. Shower design was terrible. Left water all over the bathroom floor after each shower, we had to put towels down to stop it running everywhere. View from the room as not so good. Breakfast was the only thing that was really dissapointmenting. Cold eggs and sausages, not much variety if you are western. Rooftop pool was nice. Buffet dinner up there was again very poor. Would we stay there again? Probably not.
Centrally located, close to almost everything you need
Nice hotel
Amazing hotel.. Near malioboro
The location is good. I also liked the roof top restaurant. The view from the roof top is great. Breakfast spread is good. Staffs are very cooperative.
Nice Place, good location, good price, staff were great
I love the sky bar and pool, the views and ambiance is marvellous. The safety and friendliness from the staff are so welcoming. Despite the hotel is still upgrading, the layout and room condition are still durable. Will look forward to the upgrade and stay here again.
1. Toilet should be upgraded and look clean. 2. Towel should be replaced every day except guests holding it in the towel rack. 3. Guests shall have right to control room temperature according to own preference.
Loved that there were bedside spotlights so could read in bed. As a "senior citizen" this is a facility I relish and few hotels have. The bathroom was in need of renovation and the bed a little too soft for my taste, but overall the facilities were very good, the staff friendly and helpful. The external night lighting was very attractive and made the hotel easy to identify in the dark. The breakfast buffet had a large choice . I would stay there again should I return to Yogyakarta.
Location is of this property is a positive, not too far from the train station or Malioboro. Breakfast was good and the room was good enough for the requirements for the price. All around I believe this hotel provides a good budget option in a good location.
Good location. Friendly staff. Nice size rooms. Small but decent rooftop pool and bar. Nice breakfast buffet. Walls are extremely thin. I could hear all conversations and prayers coming from adjacent rooms very clearly. Also the hotel is being renovated. Hammering and power tools can be heard all day long starting at 10 AM. Not the place to stay if you like to sleep in.
Staff helpful, nice hotel n comfortable , very near town 👍
Modern hotel, clean. About 5 minutes walk from Malioboro, but along a busy hectic street. Staff helpful, rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfasts very good (apart from the terrible coffee). Nice roof bar with decent food, although being next to the pool you can feel you are in a children's playground! The main downside is that it is a hotel for conferences. During the day, our room (on the 3rd floor) was extremely noisy from the events being held there.
Very nice Hotel & Impressive Sky Bar
We stayed for three nights at Ibis Style. Our overall experiences are fantastic, the hotel is decorated nicely and clean, the service is great, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the room is nice and clean. The sky bar is very nice (even better than some other high end sky bars we went) however, it could be improved during the day to have some beds for us to lie down for a suntan, we had to ask the staff to bring the beds for us. The location is good and bad, it's good that it's right at the night market but off the busy street so it's not that busy, the bad is the traffic to this area is just horrible and it will cost more for the taxi. The breakfast is just blah, it could be improved with the quality and food selection. However, this hotel is totally worth the money and would stay here again but maybe to try other Ibis in this city as well.
Attentive staff, nice sunset view from the pool, and nice location! Would come back :)
Looks good, until you get a better look - Place was unclean; sheets stained, floor footmarked and sink very unclean. Once you're past that, its fine. Just seems like they don't really give too many hecks. The fridge in the unit also didn't appear to be working.
I feel itch when lay down at bed sheet. Bed sheet look litlle bit dirty same goes to pillow case. Please improve the room cleanlines. The toilet at the lobby smelly with people urine.
so many problems
The walls are paper thin and you hear everything from the next room. At 9am people with hammers started working in the next room and I couldn't get any sleep. The wifi in the room is incredibly slow. There was only one power outlet so charging multiple devices was a pain. Breakfast was meat and rice, completely inappropriate. Bar is overpriced, and they add the service charge by default., no wonder it was always empty. I did NOT enjoy my stay and would not return to ibis
Nice pool and the wifi allows you to access Netflix.
Decent and worth the money
It was sufficient and decent. Priced reasonably too. All in all a decent accommodation
nice basic hotel close to malioboro street
staff are warm and friendly, room is clean and comfortable. however, would be better if they can provide shampoo and conditioner as well, instead of just shower gel.
Comfortable but not too comfortable.
The service was out standing. Everyone from the person who open the front door to the staff who checked us in were very friendly, helpful and always had a smile on their face. This is a budget hotel. The condition of the room was just ok. The breakfast had a good selection of Indonesian and western choices. It is a short walk to lots of shopping and a grocery store.
OK Hotel
The hotel was ok, but I felt that it could be cleaner. There was only one outlet to charge my phone in the room in a corner away from the bed. Internet sucked in the room was the worst I have ever experienced. Breakfast was good if you are used to eating meat and fish so early in the morning, but that was not for me.
Fair Choice near Malioboro
The hotel was good, room is clean. Nothing is special except the creativity. Parking space is limited though.
Only acceptable
I have stayed at Accor hotels all over the world, this is not one if the better hotels. If I had known there were many Accor hotels in Yogyakarta, I would have booked elsewhere. The best thing to say about this hotel is the staff were wonderful and the location was 10 minute walk from the market.
worth the money paid
good location, good service, immediate response to attend complaints, overall find nice to stay
Nice
Nice stay here
Service vs locality
Service level is good and staff is friendly and helpful. However location is a little bit far from main Malioboro street, about 100 - 200M. Overall rating between fair and good.
Great stay!
Quick check-in, great free breakfast buffet with many options to choose from and comfortable bed!
Nearby mosques will wake you in middle of the nigh
The negatives for this hotel would also apply to every hotel in the area: nearby mosque waking you for prayers in the middle of the night, AND our room reeked of cigarette smoke. The buffet breakfast is typically Asian with rice and chicken dishes, tropical fruit and some basic pastries which will not appeal to all cultures or palates.
My first visit to Yogyakarta and Ibis Style
We are happy with our stay. The only complain we have is the door assess card system to the bedrooms, ours wasn't working most of the time.
Yogyakarta is a must go
Yogyakarta is surrounded by amazing outdoor activities within just a couple hours drive. Head out for all day adventure and come back to relax at this hotel located right next to the main street with shopping and restaurants.
Superb hotel, very comfortable room, great staff. Location could be better, but not too far from the main shopping area. Nice rooftop bar and pool. Very good buffet every day.
Excellent
Good location
Overall is good but the price is expensive for 3.5 star hotel.
Near to the main road and few key attraction
The hotel's staffs were very helpful, friendly and provide useful information.
The hotel was convenient, really close to the main street of Jogja. However, the hotel itself was a bit dated. Our room was comfortable, but nothing exceptional. Our stay had breaksfast included, which was great. However, more than once the restaurant was so full that we had to wait for a while to be able to be seated and eat at the buffet.
Convenient and comfortable.
Hotel is walking distance to main street with lots of shopping, eating places. Clean room with friendly staffs. Very nice view from top floor of the hotel.
Breakfast was buffet was great. Kind staff. We used the car hire service located inside the hotel. Price was reasonable.
5 days 4 nights in Jogjakarta
Hotel is a bit old. Food was not bad as we almost have dinner in either the hotel restaurant or the sky bar every night. Like the sky bar view very much and enjoy chilling out with my hubby and my toddler there. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Short walking distance from the hotel to the main shopping street Jln Malioboro. My boy enjoy riding the horse carriage every night.
Very good
Great stay in centre of Jogja
Great stay and staff provided excellent service, calling cabs and even arranging for packed breakfast when we had to catch an early morning flight. Comfortable clean room. Breakfast was included and not great but edible.
comments
Service was good. Breakfast was delicious although limited spread. However cleanliness & condition of hotel needs to be vastly improved given the price/night. Bedsheets were not considered clean in my personal opinion.
Very nice hotel and near to Malioboro Street.
The best hotel that I've stay. Really surprise with the surprise. Haha. This is our 1st anniversary vacation. And they even deco our room and give a free surprise delicious strawberry cake. Thank you so much Ibis Style Hotel. You guys really make our day.
A great stay
The hotel like its name is quite stylish. Room size is bigger than other Ibis hotels in the same region. The staff was very helpful especially when we asked for a late check out because my wife was not feeling too well and our flights were not until later in the eve. Breakfast was good (but surprisingly no "gudeg" the signature dish and "jamu" the signature herbal drinks of Yogyakarta. Rooftop pool is on the small size. Bar has a good variety of alcoholic drinks but a bit pricey. Sitting area is plenty and comfy. Nearby there is a vegan resto that we like. Overall it was a great stay.
good hotel
good hotel in a strategic area but the walls are thin
Great hotel in the city
As a return guest, I witnessed their change and growth. Don't hesitate to tell them what you see, hear, experience and think, they are ready to prepare the best for you. All in all, I and my guests had a wonderful stay over there this time.
Just Amazing, Worth all the time ...
good place
very nice place with a wonderfull breakfast
Good Location for Downtown Yogyakarta
It's a reasonably cheap hotel and good value at the price. The buffet breakfast was quite good also, surely enough for most people's requirements. A little bit noisy sometimes on account of the location at an intersection but I'd recommend it to anyone on a budget.
Great hotel.
Good location. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast and wifi.
Beautiful hotel near jl malioboro
Beautiful hotel situation a 5 minute walk from malioboro. Yes the mosque noise is loud in the morning but it's jogja!
Happy Yogakartar Holiday
Hotel location is not bad, about 500m away to Malioboro shopping & busy street. Food is very much cheaper than in Malaysia & Jakarta but the choices not so much. Suggest to plan for 2-3 days to go for day tour.
There are better options for the price!
Tried to cancel our reservation, but the manager refused to cancel the non-refundable room. Accidentally double booked. My wife booked the Hyatt for a comparable rate.
Simple pleasure n good location.
Stayed frm 03-08Jun. Booked 03 rooms. Expectations met. Freindly n approachable staffs. Attentive. Clean rooms. Good location walking distance to Malioboro .Nice cosy rooftop lounge n pool .. Love it. Soft spoke n friendly jogjakarta locals n they don haggle u fr buys. Will definitely recommend IBIS styles n will return to Jogja again.
Good hotel close to the city centre.
Great room, pleasant staff and good food. Great location, can walk to malioboro shopping and tourist area. Some nice restaurants in the area and the hotel restaurant also good. Music on the pool bar on the room very noisy until late, would be fine if you didn't have early trips to see temples!
Bug spray hotel
The rooms were modern and "fun". The safe in the first room we checked into was not bolted down. These light weight safes could easily be carried away. The hotel staff didn't see this as a problem as you needed a key to get into the room. I explained that the purpose of the safe was to guard against the unexpected (ie someone breaking into the room or employee theft), and they found another room for us. The other room had a strong smell of bug spray. At first we thought we could live with this, but after spending some time in the room we realized it was way too strong. We talked to the staff and found that room had just been sprayed that day. We were originally told there were no other rooms. We pressed for a solution. Another room appeared. The bug spray was evident in that room as well, but not so bad. The hot water pressure was very low. By the time I could get enough hot water in the mix with the cold, I had to use a wash cloth to get the soap off my body as the water pressure by itself was way too low. The hotel staff was extremely cordial, and even with our two room changes remained friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was good and service was excellent. We were there for Chinese New Year, and the hotel had a lion dance put on by local youth - quite nice.
Title
Nice hotel with one little quirk. Facilities were clean, staff was friendly room exceeded expectations but they have nightly music performances on the roof which shook my room a little. I could sleep though it just annoyed me a little when I was trying to relax.
Great place to stay
The hotel was very cozy. Facilities are new and well decorated. The rooftop bar had live music every night. I was staying in a 5 stars hotel before and did not enjoy as much as I did in Ibiz Style. Would highly recommend it!
Happy with stay
Good stayIbis hotels are always comfortable and reliable for spotless clean rooms and bathrooms only problem was sharing next door Novohotel pool which was rather inconvenient. Hotel near very good Ocean restaurant (try and book seafront table gets very busy weekends )
It was good.
Good location - lovely staff - efficiently run - funky design.
Nice hotel
I will recommend my colleagues and friends for this hotel
Very convenient!!!
I like the staff, always greet us with smiles and they are willing to serve us with any problems. The room was small, but it is clean and it has all the things we needed. They have their trishaws infront of the hotel which cost about 10 000rp per way to kraton, water castle, batik and sliver workshop. Could take you round most of the city area. Its near the molioboro street, very convenient for shopping. Its easy to find warung (clean food) and there is a loving hut which is heaven for vegetarians.
good stay at ibis style
I had a good stay there. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Excellent in almost all areas
This hotel was very comfortable. Free breakfast was excellent. Service was excellent. A bit pricey...can of coke $2.50 US dollars and weird like last hotel we stayed at with an early 7pm pool closure. Too early in my opinion especially when you usually dont get back from supper until about that time. Other than those couple of points the hotel was very nice. They have a beautiful rooftop pool and lounge area where they had live acoustic music one night during our stay. Recommended!
Friendly staffs, cleanliness can be improved
The bathroom was dirty in some parts, those parts were in the same dirty stage throughout my stay, it's like selective cleaning by the housekeeping.
Good value
The hotel was good. We chose it because it was near the market, but the market was disappointing because everyone had the same souvenir stuff literally. The best place for souvenir shopping was the souvenir store Mirota and the Malioboro mall on Malioboro street which are about 6 blocks away from the hotel. The upscale malls like the Galleria mall near the airport are too far away. The hotel had free internet, a good breakfast, good cable tv in English, the AC worked fine, the bathroom was clean but ask for extra toilet tissue, access to a travel agency in the lobby to help arrange transportation to the sites to see which take all day to see. The staff was good and helpful. I would stay there again
Reasonable hotel
Reasonable value for the money, although expected room to be slightly better updated and cleaned based on others descriptions.
Good, but a bit noisy
Decent room design. Comfortable bed and pillows. Dirty duvet covers. Free water in the room. Chants were heard from the mosque mujina at 4am. Cable TV. Good hearty breakfast. Need earplugs.
Fantastic Service
We really enjoyed our say here. We were able to check in really early as are room was free and we weren't charged any more. Breakfast was amazing! Friendly staff and awesome location. Drinks in the sky bar a little on the expensive side as well as the laundry. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.
nice place for staying
comfortable and enjoying
Nice hotel
Very nice hotel if you are on a budget trip to yogyakarta.
a very nice place to stay short or long term
I have stayed in numerous hotels small and large in Yogyakarta and this hotel is a good value. The beds are comfortable and the staff is excellent. If you want to stay right in the middle of the central shopping and tourist district, stay here. There is a masjid right across the street so if you are a light sleeper definitely request a room overlooking the inner patio off the lobby bar. :-)
Good value for business travel
Overall good and comfortable. Some rooms can hear 0430 prayer calls. Shower design bad as water flows onto toilet floor. Otherwise ok, except bath amenities spartan, without moisturisers n conditioners. Breakfast good value n spread consisting local and international fares. Cereals with nasi kuning n porridge with sausages etc... Coffee coul taste better though! Overall pleasant stay!
Stylist, clean but not practical
Hotel was stylist, but not practical (the glass on desktop cracked). Food was so so. Sate served with fried rice was cold. Gudeg served during breakfast was good. Do not leave your kettle unattended when you boil water, because the kettle malfunction and will not auto off. We requested for change and 2nd one did not work well too. No hairdryer in room. Small and low walt hairdryer was provided only upon request. Power socket at the desk was not working, we didn't bother to request for change since we know the hotel was fully booked. Overall, it was a satisfactory stay as the staff was polite.
A pleasant weekend in Jogja
What stood out most at Ibis Styles was the efficiency and politeness of its staff. Not only were they extremely helpful but they also went out of their way to customise some items on their restaurant menu to suit our taste. The rooms were large and fairly well equipped. It is the state of some of the equipment in the room that left a lot to desire. The air conditioning in one of the rooms was extremely noisy while the other room smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room - obviously the previous guest had taken liberties with the no-smoking rule.
Newer Property in Jogya
If you can look past the garish decor, this hotel is great: modern, clean, comfortable beds, good breakfast, rooftop bar, fairly close to Malioboro Street. Pretty good value for money, too!
Value for money hotel stay
Service staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel has a wonderful pool and skybar with live band at night. Breakfast spread is slightly above average. Booked three rooms and requested for a quieter room. The staff gave me free upgrade. The max volume for TV is preset and sometimes we can't hear the sound very well. In addition, it would be fantastic if the aircon is cooler for the corner room facing the street. Within walking distance from Jln Maliboro shopping area - ard 8 min walk away.

Good location. Nice staff.
