We had an amazing stay. Our quad room had two bathrooms (!!) and the staff were so helpful and good to us - giving us recommendations around Toulouse and letting us store our bags. Breakfast in the morning was excellent - great variety and very tasty. The hotel is directly across from the train station, so we made it to our train about 5 minutes after leaving the hotel. I highly recommend Matabi Hotel!

Great stay

Comfy hotel, well located with yummy breakfast. Really great selection and variety for their complimentary breakfast. Right across from Train and bus station and walking distance to most attractions. Staff were welcoming and helpful with restaurant recommendations and attractions.

Great cheap option to stay in Toulouse

Simple hotel, but great and with friendly staff

Great location. Comfy bed. Great value. Thicker towels would have been appreciated. Sadly was locked outside the hotel in the rain for ten minutes feeling cold and miserable after returning from dinner out. The guests in the lobby were locked in and couldn’t give me access. Turns out the man on reception was doing internal errands and had locked the doors. As well as being stressful (I didn’t know what was happening or how long I’d be locked out) surely this is against safety regs - what if there had been a fire and the guests could not leave?!

Great location in the city centre and opposite the beautiful train station. Functional room design. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. 24-hour coffee available in the lobby at no extra charge. Friendly and helpful staff. It was a great stay.

It is a fantastic 3* hotel. We had a huge room which was unexpected. The hotel was very clean with very friendly staff. It was quiet ( thankfully) and perfectly situated for anyone using the train station and an easy walk to the centre of Toulouse. We would stay again.

Toulouse - 1 night

Fabulous location, close to train station and may cafes and restaurants. Super friendly staff. Our room had an odd layout - the toilet was in a small room, separate from the shower and sink. Overall would highly recommend this place.

It was an interesting property to navigate to find our room. Breakfast was excellent with many choices of food on offer. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Actually, we stayed at this hotel 2 weeks earlier (29 May) and it was satisfactory, though not luxurious. However, when we returned on 11 June, it (the Gare Matabiau Ibis Styles) was closed, apparently for repairs, and they left us a letter saying they'd moved our reservation to another of their hotels. However, since we had chosen this hotel due to its proximity to the train station, the management sent a taxi to take us to the new hotel, and again the following morning so we could catch our train, so we were satisfied. All we lost was an hour of sleep, and the breakfast room at the second hotel was actually larger and nicer than the first hotel.

Pleasant stay at a well placed hotel

Bit a of a quirky hotel in an old building so had some uneven floors and an old tiny lift which barely held 2-3 people. However on the plus side all the rooms looked inwards onto a little courtyard (no access). Check in was quick and efficient. Our room on the 2nd floor was small but adequate. Bathroom looked recently refurbished (shower only) but the door didn't close properly. The TV was positioned almost out of view nr a little desk in a corner and there was an "open" wardrobe with a few hangers. A couple of shelves but no drawers. Along with many other French hotels there was no room safe which is a bit annoying as you have to carry valuables, passports etc around with you. The reception is small but has a little breakfast room off it. The free breakfast was lovely (continental) with lots of choice on offer. Huge double bed in our room and decent shower and air con. The hotel is literally bang opposite the train station so ideal for travel. The airport navette shuttle (8.5 euros pp each way) stops outside the station. Lots of cafes and bars in the area. The 800 mtr walk into the city centre is straight down the Rue de Bayard next to the hotel and takes 10 mins. Toulouse is a very vibrant and colourful city but like most has its share of dubious characters a lot of which seem to hang around the area of the train station. If you give them a wide berth they won't bother you. All in all a pleasant stay at the Ibis Styles Hotel which is good value for money

Great Experience

The hotel is very convenient to the train station, restaurants, shops and sights. While it does not have the "charm" that the inner city hotels have, the cleanliness and comfort make up for the location.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Location is wonderful, just across the train station Matabiau, a big plus if you have to catch an early train. The hotel has a closed space to store bicycles (the main reason I chose it). Breakfast was very good.

IBIS Styles - Gare Matabiau

Located across the SNCF gare Matabiau with easy access to restaurants. It is about 10 to 15 minutes to the Place Capitol and several churches and landmark attractions. No water heater kettle. Max of 2 people fit the elevator, only 1 if he/she has luggages. . Continental breakfast available for nominal amount. Reception desk staff are very pleasant and informative. I will check in again if needed only for the train station proximity and the friendly staff.

Room 104 the vinyl floor creaked not laid properly sound insulation to next room poor I heard them unlocking their door so loud I thought they were entering my room then their floor creaked I thought it was my floor... not happy with that experience

Building is old. Otherwise, everything fine -Breakfast included. Just across train station, Ouibus, and airport shuttle bus. Very convenient!, walkable and easy to find.

Central Hotel.

central hotel. opposite the station in Toulouse. Restaurants nearby but only a 5 min walk to the centre of toulouse with all the city has to offer. Good breakfast, staff were friendly and pleasant. overall I would recommend this hotel.

Chose hotel as needed to catch train from Toulouse station next day. Location was convenient but hotel is very ‘tired’. Ibis next door a better option.

Great, but keycards need to be updated

The staff here is excellent. My only gripe would be with the keycards, and I have noticed this at every Ibis - they CONSTANTLY get de-magnetized. I tried absolutely everything. Even when the card got nowhere near my phone, it was de-magnetized. This happened at least 2 times a day.

Nice and quiet hotel across from the train station. Always a little nervous staying on a busy street but this hotel was great. Made it really easy to catch an early train. Very comfortable.

The hotel staff is excellent. The rooms re very clean, My suggestions are: 1 More towels are necessary. 2, Should be upgraded. 3. Please use glasses instead of plastics. 4. The bath tub are very dangerous..they are too deep and somebody can slide and hit their heads. 5.Need to have a water pitcher in the rooms. 6. Need to have a coffee maker in each room. 7. The elevators can be upgraded. 8. The breakfast is top notch!!!!!!

Front desk was very welcoming. Room was pleasant.bathroom clean. Temperature locally was hot hot hot. A/c worked but we were still uncomfortable because of the heat. Need ventilation. Breakfast was good. position was good. parking outside on pay and park was ok.

I arrived early in the morning, and the staff offered me an earlier check-in, that's totally helpful after a long flight. Lobby offer unlimited free drinks that is soothing in a cold weather. Breakfast is nice. Room is spacious and clean. Staff is very nice and helpful. Only one thing is the sound isolation of rooms is not good. Always disturbed by neighbours and house keeping service.

Close to Public transport.

As my scoring suggests this hotel wasn't what I was expecting having stayed at many Ibis locations before. It is very handy for the main station, which is across the street, and is next to an Ibis which had a good restaurant. The Airport bus stops outside the hotel which is ideal. To me the place seemed to need some up dating, however it is quirky and does have it's charms.

Enjoyed one night stay as we were continuing trip via the railroad station. Needed taxi from airport. Restaurants in vicinity only medium quality

Conveniently located hotel, opposite main railway station. Facilities fine, simple buffet breakfast, room nice. The "styles" brand looks to be aiming for "quirky" and "young". That's fine. Do make sure you go to the right hotel - this Ibis Styles Matabiau is right next door to the Ibis Matabiau. Their receptionists must waste a lot of time sending people next door.

it is located very near to the train station. It is the biggest merit of this hotel. The room was cofortable, but the buidling was old. The lift (elevator) was very very small and the staircase was narrow. The breakfast room was too small and it was very very crowded in the morning, and there was a long line of cue for coffee machine. Otherwise it is worthy to stay.

Overnight stop near Toulouse Train Station

Location is very convenient to the train station across the street and the depot to catch the shuttle bus to the airport. Quality of rooms vary. We were fortunate to a have a large room that looked at the train station which was magnificently illuminated at night. A bit of street noise but tolerable. Staff was helpful. Very good self serve breakfast with variety of choice.

Excellent breakfast and amenities

We had a great weekend stay in ibis Styles: located just across the street from airport bus stop, 10-minute walk to Old Town - convenient. Staff was accommodating, hotel has all amenities: free wi-fi, tea, water, chocolates, computer with printer, tons of materials about Toulouse. Supermarket and great pattiserie in less than 5-minute walk.

It's hard to find a better hotel that's convenient to the Mantabiau train station at an affordable price. My room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast the next day made my stay so much easier.

Stayed here en route from the airport to the railway station. Perfect location as the shuttle bus stopped right across the road, and in the morning, a quick walk across the same road to the station. Had a quiet room at the rear of the hotel, comfy beds, and good breakfast. Wifi good in room, and staff helpful. Decor not great, but reasonable. Lift very small, involving 2 trips for 2 people with luggage!

My stay at the Toulouse Ibis Style Hotel was good. Although I was charge with 99 Euro for making 1 telephone call to Le puy in France. The receptionist was not really helpful because he insisted that I should paid the amount. Fortunately the Manager stepped in and resolved everything. because for that amount I should have talked for more than 10 hours!!!

Close to railway station

The only good thing about the hotel was that it was across the road from the railway station. The lift was broken down so we had to wait for an hour for our bags to get up to our room. The corridors were like a rabbit warren. The room was clean but was very basic with a very, very small WC. The area around the hotel was not pleasant and without good eateries.

Convenient to the Toulouse Railroad Station

This hotel is OK. It was clean and we didn't notice unusual noise. That they have 2-bed rooms is handy for families like ours. The TV didn't work and the desk attendant couldn't make it work. Descent breakfast.

Convenient location

The location was perfect just opposite Toulouse Matabiau Gare and allowed easy access to a bus to airport early morning. The building is old and has been refurbished, but the flush in our toilet wasn't working at its best. When we put the airconditioner on, there was a terrible buzzing/humming which didn't stop so we slept with no airconditioning and as our room had no windows to open, it was stuffy. The bed though was very comfortable and breakfast was included in our price which was a plus when you are leaving early in the morning.

Our one day stay is too short and regrettable, maybe sometime we will return to stay longer.

Hotel location is nearly across the street from the train station, which makes it a good location for travel. It's about a 20 minute walk to the main section of the city, where the shops and restaurants are located. Our room was simple, but clean and the hotel service was good. Buffet breakfast is included.

Lift Not Operating

The sole lift in a hotel of 4 floors was out of service for at least 4 days, inconveniencing guests as well as the staff. As one of the party was recently in hospital and still in recovery, the clerk (at midnight) was kind enough to move us from the 4th floor to the 2nd floor and carry our two suitcases to the 2nd floor room. This is just not good enough for an Ibis Styles hotel part of a chain owned by the Accor Hotels Group. The building and the lift is quite old and parts may be difficult to obtain, so a replacement of the lift should be considered at an early date. It is interesting that an Ibis (red) hotel, another group in the same chain, is next door and appears to be well maintained

Close to transportation, restaurants and sights

Very convenient location just a few minutes walk from the Tisseo Navette Shuttle terminus - from Blagnac airport to Matabiau station.Clean and modern. Front desk service was friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast is included - croissants/breads/yogurt/cereal/cheese/deli meat/cereal/fruit and even a juicer to squeeze your own fresh orange juice. Free Wi-Fi in room, and lobby. The rooms were clean and quiet. Blackout curtains and air conditioning in the room were a huge plus. We were also able to leave our bags after checkout to explore Toulouse some more. The only negative was that elevator was not working when we stayed - so that meant carrying baggage up 4 flights of stairs.

Good experience

A stylish, clean hotel. Breakfast is limited but sufficient, and the location convenient. All the tourist attractions are within a relatively short walk. Solo female travelers, however, are advised against going out after dark in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Helpful staff

Conveniently located opposite the railway station and the bus stop from the airport. The rooms are basic but clean and the beds are very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and I was able to check in early .Breakfast is very nice with fresh coffee and orange juice ,various breads ham and cheese etc. I would stay there again if I was in Toulouse again.

Great hotel for family with children.

Very tasty breakfast,very comfortable beds,spacious clean room,good location.There was a bottle of mineral water in the room,apple juice for children,pencils and books for children were given by very friendly staff member at reception on our arrival.

The hotel is fine, a bit expensive for what you get, but otherwise fine. Room are clean, staff is nice, and good location as close to the city center. but not the best location in Toulouse for sure.

the hotel in itself is very nice, modern and pleasing to the eye. unforutnately the bathroom in my room had a few tiles missing and therefore started to form mould. apart from this the room was perfect for my stay.

Small bath

Getting parked was tricky - the road is very busy, the hotel has no parking of its own and you have to go to the public car park beside the station - very busy and expensive for overnight and quite a long way if you were carrying bags. Getting bathed was even trickier - this was definitely the smallest bath I have ever seen. Also there was no shower curtain. The lift is very small - it said 3 people max but also said 190 kg max, so it would only be for 3 small people. The room was small too. All in all it is a bit run down, but it was all very clean and the bed was comfortable. Worth visiting to see the bath.

Older very basic hotel in seedier

Older very basic hotel in seedier area, its main redeeming features are its proxinity to train station and good , but basic buffet breakfast and staff helpfulness.

Le séjour dans l'hotel Matabi gare a été trés confortable. Les chambres trés propres et avec la climatisation très correcte. Le linge bien changée et disposé dans la chambre. L'endroit très bien placé, trés comode just en face de la gare du train. Les chambres un peu bruillantes c'est l'unique contretemps.

건물이 오래되어 복도 삐걱이는 소리가 좀 들리고 히터 소리가 좀 커서 첫날은 조금 신경 쓰였는데 익숙해지니 괜찮았어요. 마타비역이 정면으로 보이는 방이라 역뷰도 생각보다 좋았구요. 자잘한 소음을 제외하면 아주 만족스러웠어요. 카피탈광장은 좀 먼데… 전 주변 도시 돌아다닐 목적이라 위치도 좋았습니다.

Juste en face de la gare très pratique et personnel très sympathique. Seul regret pas de bouilloire dans la chambre même si cafe a dispo a l accueil. C est vrai que le matin tot j aime bien prendre 1 cafe dans la chambre ou le soir en pyjama pas trop envie de redescendre pour prendre 1 tisane

pratique pour voyage affaire à 25 mn de l’aéroport en navette et en face de la gare matabiau et aussi loisirs à quelques pas du centre ville et proche métro. hôtel qui a été rénové, personnel pro et sympathique ce n’est pas la première fois que j’y vais.

Déçue au vu des commentaires sur le site . Je n’ai pour ma part pas vu la rénovation que je trouve même parfois vieillissant dans certains endroits . Les chaînes télé de base inexistante ( TFI / C8 ) Hôtel introuvable via google maps et je ne suis pas la seule personne car une JF a rencontré le même problème. Point positif l’emplacement !
