Ideal for a stay of up to a week, this hotel does what it says on the tin. Decent rooms cleaned every day. A cold breakfast buffet with enough variety to keep you interested. Only a few minutes walk from the centre of Toulouse and all the cafés, bars and restaurants. I understand there is underground parking, and public transport is very close. Also a cheap Uber or Bolt run to the airport if required. Recommended.
No complaints just what we wanted
This Ibis Hotel is just a quick 5 minute walk from the local subway stop on line B or 2 quick stops on bus Line 1 from outside the station exit to the Hotel front door. The staff all speak very good English and are very helpful. A very basic Breakfast is served in the Morning but it is very filling with many bread and cakes along with 2 coffee and 2 Orange machines to start your day off without looking for a local cafe. A nice small room with A/C and toilet/shower with hot and cold water. The room only has 3 lights in the room so it is a little dark at night.
It was amazing stay
Hotel needs an update. I can’t believe international hotel has no English-speaking new stations on the television.
A decent enough stay in a nice location.
A decent location. Bed comfortable enough, shower was nice and hot. Decor not great and general wear and tear not great. Only scrambled eggs as a hot option for breakfast but otherwise nice.
Nice hotel ,
Great price anx location
Bien sauf la déco
Bon rapport qualité-prix, assez bien situé. Dommage que la déco soit de si mauvais goût. Franchement, si je voulais voir des graffitis partout, je n'irais pas dans un hôtel Ibis.
Location & breakfast quite good, but in desperate need of a makeover. Minimal storage space for clothes in our room - overpriced for what's offered.
The whole place needs an upgrade old bath loo kept running
Staff was helpful when I had an issue with my glasses. The hotel was in a good location, but it was in obvious need of repair. Some refurbishing appeared to have been done in common areas.
Breakfast buffet ok Walking distance to cathedral & gardens TV - no English channels Location-long walk to/from train & bus stations Poor amenities-only one Free small water bottle Slow elevator Old bathroom tub & toilet Telephone in the room not working Small room
I last stayed in this hotel in 2012. It is in long need of a refurb. Unless this happens, I'll not consider it for any future visits. That said the staff on reception were excellent. They deserve a better gig!
Spot on
No problems here
Clean and tidy and fairly close to the nearest metro station
Well situated, short walk from monuments of intéressant est
Saddened with Toulouse
Old hotel in need of an upgrade but staff are doing the best they can . Paid extra for breakfast but on arrival the hot food and pastries had run out. We were refunded thankfully. Left a bad taste in our mouth.
very slow wifi.
Facilities
The hotel was nice and clean I stayed for 3 days and when I got to my room there was tea and coffee making facilities but no kettle to make it with when I asked for a kettle they said they didn’t have any spare but would move me to a room with kettle why not just bring me the kettle from that room in the end a very nice man brought me a brand new kettle on my last morning there
Cheap but not so cheerful
A cheap but not very cheerful hotel. The building looks unloved and the rooms were dated and scruffy. There were stains from dust and the room had clearly not been decorated for a long time. The bathroom had black mould stains on sealant around the bath. There was warm running water and the tv was new although there were only French tv channels so not so helpful for international visitors. The bed linen seemed clean but the towels were small. The window opened fully and we were on the 6th floor, so I didn’t feel safe enough in opening it to get fresh air. I will look to stay elsewhere on any further visits to Toulouse
Very nice hotel, central position
There's everything you need. The King size bed was amazing.
Nice little hotel. We were only here for one night. Had breakfast. 10 euro was a little steep for what we got. Clean and comfortable.
Would certainly come back!
Super clean, great value, great location. However it’s a somewhat featureless hotel and WiFi was poor.
Good location great price no real problems. Will stay again.
Shay needs painting cleaning staff are rude. breakfast poor for €10.
Nice hotel, comfortable, location is easy access to buses or metro, almost at the centre of Toulouse. Have had a lovely time during our stay, definitely will recommend to family and friends.
You simply get what you pay for. You have everything you need and even a bit more like coffee, tea, water and biscuits in the room. The room itself could be a bit cleaner, but really nothing to worry about. Just a bit of dust on bathroom furniture. The shower is really good!
2 nights stay
Overall, good value for money. The hotel is within walkable distance from the city centre and main tourist attractions. The room and the bathroom were clean and spatious.
Staff were friendly and the location was great. Everything you could need and want.
Nice for the price brilliant location
Dated décor sad 70's brown dull décor but over all fairly clean short of the bathroom black brown fungy in the tiles joints finished getting proper bleach stuff to give it a proper clean
Kyriad
The staff are so helpful and pleasant. Rooms have adjustable heating that works !!! Brilliant showers ! Comfortable bed 🛏. Happy with my stay . Shame there is no bar . But good Irish Bar across the road .
Friendly
Basic but it does what it says on the tin. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Also stayed there in 2017 and fully intend to use same hotel when next in Toulouse.
A very lovely hotel
I really loved Toulouse and this hotel is really great for what i wanted. it's 15 min walk from the train station, right next to the canal, 1 min walk there's a great pub worth checking out, 5 min walk to Toulouse Cathedral. Staff speak good english and are pretty helpful. Room is huge and it's nice and warm. The only problem was the whole three days i was there, the wifi never worked. so be alarmed if your phone depends on wifis. Overall, was very happy with my stay. I'll come back to Toulouse soon and will for sure book here again.
It was ok.
The hotel was a good location, near the airport shuttle services (around 15min walk) and pretty close - walking distance to some of the sights. However they tell you that their wifi is bad but it’s HORRIBLE. There is no wifi. It was okay for me and my friend as we both from the UK so we have data for Europe, but I can see overseas tourists struggling with this unless they purchase a sim card for the country. They could’ve also had bigger pillows, you’d turn the side and have no pillow left, other than that, for a short trip it wasn’t bad.
Good budget hotel near city centre.
We were a group of friends on a weekend break wanting to enjoy food and drink in Toulouse. The hotel was a good base for us. We walked to everywhere we wanted to visit and there were bars open late nearby in the evening. For our purposes this hotel ticked all the boxes.
The hotel fulfilled all our requirements that we wanted for this stay. It is the second time we've stooped at this hotel and would almost certainly stop there again if back in Toulouse
Location not good impression
The dining room staff were surly and food was not replenished so there was not much to choose from. The room was basic but adequate for the price, location and convenience.
Good basic hotel close to the city centre.
Pleasant, helpful staff and comfortable, clean room.
Memorable stay at The Kyriad, Toulouse @ 19/9/17
Very comfortable stay at the hotel. It was clean and the counter staff attending to our check in was very patient and caring. The breakfast of €10 was worth the money: cold cuts, bacon, eggs, yogurts, breads, cheeses, coffee, tea & more yummy stuff.
Good bank for yout buck.
Low animeties and no breakfast but you het a,cleen room with easy commuye to city center for a good price
Never again
The ugliest room I have ever slept in. 3 beds in a coridor like room. No decorations and no light in the room
Family visi to Toulouse
Perfect for a base to visit this fantastic city
Recommended for a short stay
Good quality for the price. Good location. Clean room.
Perfect for before and after Canal du Midi row
A room and bed all to yourself - who could ask for more?
Traffic noise was sometimes intrusive
This hotel has adequate facilities in general but was perfectly acceptable for a short stay of a few days. To be more positive, the bed was comfortable and buffet-style breakfast was very good in my opinion. Decor and decoration are nothing special but standard of cleanliness generally was excellent. The staff were courteous and helpful for my recent stay (5 nights), but unfortunately for some unknown reason, my wake-up call on my last day went to the wrong room and I missed my flight as I over-slept. This led to a 14-hour wait at the Airport and the purchase of another flight. As I'd shown and spoken my room number EVERY morning to hotel staff in the breakfast room (as I had not pre-booked breakfasts) this was very surprising.
Hotel is in run down condition
I would rather stay in a hostel. Hotel is in run down condition.
Don't stay here
Wifi is very very weak, almost non-existent. If you need Internet do not stay here. Couldn't use water from 1030am-5pm and they called at 830am to tell us and were rude on the phone. They woke us up, we were at the hotel at 7pm in the night before and they could've called then. Room was stale smelling, and the bathroom had a strong musty smell. The bathroom had black mold. Sheets were stained and not changed for a few days. Used a conference room and it was dirty with glasses that had been in there so long that a glass that must've had orange juice in it had blue mold in it. Concierge told us that a cab to the train station cost 10 euros (it's a 15 minute walk from the hotel to the train station). The cab he called was 15euros, obviously not worth it and a total rip off. Would not stay here again.
Good location but not a 4*
Basic hotel in a good location, but nowhere near what I would call 4*. Rooms and bathrooms have an institutional feel to them. Shabby and the grouting in the bathroom needs seen to, but if you're just wanting to put your head down and want to be in the city centre, this may suit you. Avoid breakfast and head for a local cafe for a better deal.
Rooms need a refresh.
Received a warm welcome here. Reception area is nice, breakfast room is nice. Bedroom decor was very, very tired and the en-suite too. Aircon worked well enough and the bed was comfortable.
Good base for touring around south of France
My second stay in a week. The first one was great! Second stay is good. Didn't have shampoo, sandals and the kettle was rusty probably not use in a while but the night concierge offered me tea/coffee. Close to subway and train stations. Entertainment district nearby. Right beside Canal du midi. Luggage storage is a great help. I'll stay here again. Staff spoke English well(can't say the same for restaurants around train station).
Good hotel in walking distance from city centre
Nice hotel by the Canal, proper Irish pub nearby with live footbal, bar with hundreds of board games next door, 15 minutes walk to the city center. Very good value for money, and €10 for the breakfast buffet is OK too - good selection of cold meat&cheeses, plus nice espresso machine!
Overnight stop
We live on the edge of Toulouse - so when we want a night out in the city we stay here. It's pretty basic and quite run-down but a good location. The air conditioning does not work well - so if the weather is hot..... otherwise all ok
Ok location, close to good restaurants
No complaints, reasonably close to a tram stop and good restaurants.
Good base for Toulouse tourism
I used the hotel as a base for mainly wandering around the main tourism sites in Toulouse as well as a day trip to other local places. Check-in was easy and efficient, the room was a good size and provided a comfortable place to rest in after busy days. Overall, I had a very satisfactory couple of days there.
Friendly and helpful staff
I would recomend The Kyriad staff very friendly and helpful. We didn't stay at the hotel too much or use their facilities, too much to see and do in Toulouse
Nice and clean hotel staff very friendly and close enough to all amenities.
No coming back again !
The Hotel didn't took into consideration my special requests, already sent through the reservation.
just perfect
the staff is fantastic !!! really helpful!
Convenient comfortable hotel
Helpful friendly staff
Great!
Overnight Toulouse
Have stayed in this hotel before and always found it great value
We stayed here for the weekend and we had a pleasant stay. We had a room on the eight floor, with a good view of the city (although the high building in front of the hotel). The room was clean and the staff really helpful. The hotel is quiet good located, 15 min walking to the historic centre. If you cross the street and walk 2 min you can rent a bike. The public bike rental is a really great idea and there are stations everywhere in the city, which make it the best way to sightsee Toulouse. Good experience, good price/quality ratio.
Close to historic centre and train station
Good looking hotel in a great area for us as we wanted to be close to the historic censer of town. A little TLC in the room would improve our rating but acceptable regardless of a bit of mold around the tub. All in all it was good value, great location and reasonably clean.
Affordable, nice, and clean
Exactly what I needed: affordable, nice, and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Old and Smelly
Stayed here during football Euros. Room was very old decor and smelt musky. Opened the windows ASAP but local kebab shop fan underneath. Room cleanliness was poor.
Great location for the Euro 2016!
The location was excellent for the Euros. Close to the Fanzone, the stadium and the city centre. Just by the river and opposite an excellent Irish pub! The room itself wasn't anything special. Slightly mouldy in the ceiling but did not smell. Beds comfortable, breakfast average. This is not a hotel I will remember, but it was convenient for our football weekend in Toulouse!
Handy for the town, etc
Had a great time... The hotel was there as a place to sleep, have breakfast and have a rest in between going round town, eating in lovely restaurants and watching Rugby League. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.... even though my schoolboy french is awful!
Good value in walking distance of centre & station
A very good price for a 3 person family room (a hotels.com secret price) with cheap all day parking under the hotel. Our room was comfortable and the facilties reasonable. The kettle and tea / coffee sachets were apprecited. While close to Toulouse centre (Capitole & good restaurants and shopping all within 15 minutes walk) the hotel is just outside the more upmarket area of the city sandwiched between the Canal du Midi, a busy road and the railway but our room was quiet with the window shut. We will stay there again if spending time in Toulouse.
9.5 euros for parking!!
Value for money
Good value for money. Great pub opposite, De Danu.
Canalside
Very noisy if you have the window open. Bath very small & room furniture/decoration looked very old & tired. On the plus side, it is fairly close to a metro stop & the centre (10 minute walk)and it had underground parking. Staff were friendly enough for the little interaction that we had. For a rugby fan there is an Irish pub (De Danu) just over the road Reasonable value for a city centre
Walking distance to tourist places
We could walk to town which was great and leave our bags. Staff accomodating. Nice hotel with lift.
Good for the price
Hotel was pretty good especially for the price, located not far from rail station
Good trip
Helpful staff, we had uninterrupted good sleep , on the whole good
Reasonable hotel close to the city.
Rooms are clean and tidy, although quite warm at night.
Decent hotel in a good location
Hotel is efficient and well priced. It is not luxury and the rooms are pretty small with very basic facilities. We booked three rooms for two nights and it was very well priced. The location is good if you don't mind a walk. Most things are within a 30 minute walk and the hotel sits on the canal which opens up if you walk 10 minutes south. The hotel staff were helpful with directions and finding places around town however our one complaint was that during the middle of the night the mirror in our room fell off our wall, we asked to get it fixed the following morning and it was not fixed before we left. It was not a small mirror. It was 5-6ft in height and heavy. Out with that it is a good hotel for efficiency and seeing the beautlful city of Toulouse.
Lovely City Break in Toulouse
Very comfortable and affordable hotel. Nice friendly staff. Room was clean and fresh with good wifi. Decent breakfast too.
Well located.
Well located to walk into town centre...also useful is on site pay car park shared with others in the building..access by security pad..
Best ever
Exceptionally good! Especially, Kyriad Toulouse has the best breakfast buffet.:) Staffs were so welcoming and all of them speak perfect English. My single room was clean and tidy. I couldn't enjoy it more.
Good enough
About a 15 walk from the train station, located in a really quiet part of town. Just far enough that it feels safe. Room was adequate for a quick overnight stay. Reception was friendly and helpful.
clean and comfortable,
comfortable, but, i think it could do with a bit of decorating, clean, with pleasant staff, but i didn't realise you had to pay nine euro for parking, but it was underground a very secure. I would have liked to have had a restaurant in the hotel for an evening meal. after a long journey i didn't want to go looking for a restaurant.
Good stay, modern, clean, spacious hotel room. Enjoyed our stay highlight ofour week in and around the French area,
Ok hotel
Nice hotel for the price. A little bit far from the Center but still on a walking distance plus really close to train station
Old carpet, comfortable bed
It seems that certain parts of the hotel were renewed. Inside the room, the toilet is new and clean but the carpet is really old and dirty. Once I enter the room, I smelled a strong odour of the freshening spray, obviously to cover up the old smell of the carpet. I decided to open the window for a while to let fresh air in, but then mosquitos start to fly into my room. On arrival the staff wasn't friendly and helpful, I asked him for the location of nearby internet café and he didn't offer any assistance and simply replied he doesn't know anything of the neighbourhood. However, the staff on my last day of stay was helpful. The hotel is at an ok location. 15 mins walk from SNCF station and 10-15 walk from the city centre. There is a crepe shop right opposite to the hotel, the crepe is delicious and the owner and staff were very friendly.
City Break
Good basic hotel, friendly staff and good location. Basic facilities but clean and great bathroom. Airconditionng didn't work too well but for the price is fair enough. We live just outside Toulouse so this was great value for going out in the city and not driving home.
Need customer service lesions
The front staff don't even have the time to say hello. They are abrupt and rude. Not a good impression when you first come to their country.
Spacious room, private car parking, convenient
The hotel has spacious rooms. It is a little dated but it is still in good condition. Very secure private car parking. Hotel is a short walk from the historic town centre and all conveniences. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Reasonable prices for such a good location.
Great for a few nights
Fantastic for a couple of nights away! Clean room, excellent location and the receptionist allowed us to check-in 4 hours early. Needs a bit of a paint in places but good base.
Convenient for airport
Very pleasant stay and great to have tea and coffee facilities in the room!
France Aeromart
nice location next to canal, easy area to go out for a run, comfortable neighborhood---a little walk to metro
Pleasant Stay
Enjoyed our time at the hotel. Rooms were cleaned very well and staff were friendly and knew English. Wide choice at breakfast and it was excellent value. Some noise from busy road infront of hotel but this was quickly remedied by shutting the window. This is a town centre hotel and we expected some road noise. Situation was excellent, only 5 minutes walk from Francois Verdier Metro. There are lovely places to walk from this hotel, down into town and the shopping areas and to the gardens. If you dont want to walk the public transport is inexpensive and excellent. I would definitely visit again.
Wrong hotel to stay.
Black mold everywhere in the bathroom. Missing lamp cover. FOR SURE not a 3 stars hotel. Noisy area, hotel is sitting on major (4 lines) road. Very strange parking!
Overnight stay
although it was only one night I did not feel it was worth the money. Central for city and a lovely city but the air was terrible, bathroom smelt and room very small.
Good location
The room was adequate - two single beds and a small table and clean. Also had coffee and tea in room which was really great. Internet was slow. Well located for walking to old part of city and down to the resistance museum and for catching a bus to the train station. Front desk staff were really helpful
Decent hotel for the price.
Cheap and cheerful.
It is a nice hotel but you get what you pay for, it is cheap and cheerful and a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Toulouse.
I like this hotel!
For me, the Kyriad Toulouse Centre represents excellent value for money. It's a hotel which gives you everything you need for a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. It has a good location approx 15 minutes walk from all the main attractions of Toulouse, with the nearest Metro station (Francois-Verdier) being a 5 minute walk away. The excellent Navette airport shuttle buses run to / from the Jean-Jaures Metro station, about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Tip: when getting the Navette back to the airport, there are several bus stops on rue Allee Jean Jaures. The Navette to the airport stops at the third one down from the Jean-Jaures Metro. I was standing at the one nearest Air France and had to run to get the Navette! I found the hotel to be clean throughout with good facilities, the staff were friendly and helpful, with all of them speaking at least some English, a bonus if you are "un petit peu" French speaker like myself. The hotel also has underground parking, so if you were using a car you could park it safely and not have to leave it on the street. They do charge extra for this, but surely it's better to have your car safe while on holiday! Toulouse itself is a delight. Lots of attractive buildings, lots of nice areas to explore, loads of cafes, bars, brasseries, beautiful churches, and river/canal trips. Most people I met spoke at least some English and the locals are much friendlier than, say, in Paris(!).
Helpful front office staff, clean room, close proximity to Gare Matabiau train station. Area around hotel is a bit seedy but for the price, I would definitely stay there again.
An ordinary Ibis with nice room and lobby interiors but outdated bathroom. All clean however, which is a very big advantage generally in France. The breakfast was a disaster, bad food quality and limited availability and variety. Parking is scaring and very very tight... I don't think I'd return because of this two things.
