Front desk staff erre extremely rude for check in and for check out. We had to leave at 4,15am and the man didn’t even lighted the reception area inspite my request. The coffee machine was on and didn’t allowed us to help ourselves with a coffee. Staff for breakfast were nice. Property is far to be a 3-star hotel. Common areas are dirty, room not comfortable at all and no safe box either. A/C didn’t work! Well located at 5min walk to Gare de l’Est. I will not recommend the staying based on what the hotel offers and the high price payed for it. Terrible!!

This is a nice, no frills hotel. We arrived in Paris late in the evening and just needed somewhere for a night. The beds were comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well and the breakfast was perfectly fine.

Dirty old hotel, bath painted, shower glass leaking and all floor was wet, toilet broken, duverts ripped, smelly and old. For breakfast no fruits and vegetables- almost nothing to eat. No parking! Disappointed!

THIS WAS THE WORST STAY EVER. We have booked a family room but upon check-in there were no rooms available so they have to split us into two tiny rooms. The front desk clerk refused to speak in english with us and I was luck I knew some french. Staff was always rude and unfriendly. We payed the whole stay at check-in and did not had any extra charges due. A couple days later the hotel charged my credit card I used to make my reservation, which was different from the one I paid the hotel charges, almost 500 USD extra. I tried to call the hotel many times, sent emails and never got a response back from them. Some of the calls I made they put me on hold for almost an hour. I still don’t have a resolution for this and I had to contact my credit card company to help with this dispute. IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE SCAMMED DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY.

Basic value accommodation with buffet breakfast - very clean - bed made every day - lovely white crisp towels changed often - all staff friendly and helpful - lift access to floors - walk in bathroom ideal for someone like myself disabled/wheel chair user - buffet breakfast was fresh and well replenished - good choice - ideal location at Gare de L’est and few minutes walk from Gare de Nord, excellent public transport links and close to canal - overall very good and quiet despite being in a busy location

Check in was fine, and the room was reasonably clean. The television and one bed side lamp wasn't working. Breakfast was standard. When checking out the receptionist implied that I didn't pay the city tax when I checked in. I had paid the city tax by bank card and I showed it to her via my banking app. I was then accused of paying the city tax to the wrong Ibis hotel!! No, I would not stay at this hotel again.

Great location near to trains/metro. Nice friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast options were good. Rooms quiet and beds comfortable. However the rooms are tired and need a refit and deep clean.

Perfect location right beside the Metro. Reasonably priced for Paris. Comfortable hotel with nice rooms and decent breakfast. Our only small issue was that we had 2 single beds pushed together instead of a double and the room was a bit chilly.

The hotel is in a very good location. Metro station next door, bus stop on both side of the road, 10mins walk to Gare du Nord station. Easy access to town. In terms of the hotel itself, the facility is a let down. The bedroom are not spacious, no complementary hot drinks in the room. The breakfast spread is not something I was expecting. Just pastry’s, had to boil our own eggs. No chef to cater for our dietary needs. Food choice is very poor. The staff are nice and very friendly.

Very conveniently located next to the metro. Room is generally clean but seemed difficult to get extra bath towels, was given face towels instead. Door chain was damaged and not replaced. Breakfast was adequate. A good budget hotel to consider for the convenience.

I was pleased that my room had a bathtub. However, there was hair stuck to the bath which indicates poor cleaning. It was very hard to change from filling up the bathtub to use the shower head. There was no door to the wardrobe and no hangers. So disappointed because my last ibis experience was in Prague and there it was a great experience.

No good, needs a lot of work

Avoid if possible. The hotel has a very convenient location and if you are on the top floors facing the station, a great view; however, this is not a hotel to the high standards Ibis delivers everywhere else. The building is run down, old, dirty carpets, you can find rubbish in corridors, just one lift working, etc. On top of that we had water coming down the A/c by the door that damped the carpet, were moved to another room and didn’t have a working A/c, finally ended up on the 8th floor in a better room, still you could see pipes installations in the bathroom and noise all night long. We didn’t have good nights sleep here. Breakfast was good (typical French and nice to start the day) As I said it is convenient to take trains from Gare de l’Est station for days out from Paris, nothing else. Hopefully Ibis will work to bring this hotel to their standards or just take away your brand from it as expectations were very high for what we found

Great location and good hotel

I was worried at first after reading some of the other reviews but was pleasantly surprised. The front desk was always friendly and happy to help. We could smell our room has been freshly painted. It was a good sized room as far as Parisian standards. Breakfast was good and varied. Being next to Gare de L'Est, we brought ear plugs expecting a bit of noise. I recommend people do this. Location made it very convenient to get around the city. Only problem was that only one of the lifts were working, which is a problem when everyone is using them. But I would definitely stay here again.

Too noisy

The proximity to the metro was fantastic! However the room seemed much bigger and cleaner in the pictures. Our AC didn’t work and there where random black marks and holes in the wall.

I picked this hotel for convenience as it was close to the concert I was attending, but it was a bit fawlty towers to be honest. Receptionist possibly new as didn’t really know what to do, and no personality or friendliness- ladies at an Ibis Styles in Bordeaux were exceptionally good. Lift didn’t work. And I was having a rest when someone just entered my room! It was very hot weather so it’s a good job I wasn’t starkers! And I know it was near / next to a train station but Jesus H Christ I think my room vibrated, maybe I could have slept better if the pillows weren’t the worst pillows I’ve ever put my head on. At least the room was stylish and clean so it wasn’t all bad

We stayed here for 4 nights and we found it very clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was always being topped up so plenty of food. Its right next to a metro station which is extremely convenient, there was a restaurant right across from the hotel which we used twice and food was nice and staff nice and spoke English. All in all a lovely stay..maybe only thing i could say was it never had tea making facilities in the room but thats just me as i like a cuppa before bed. The mainline train staion was right next to us was a bit noisy when the window was open,but with the window closed it was fine. I would definitely stay there again its basic but clean and friendly which is the main thing for me.

Convenient to several train and metro stations as Gare de L’Est is a few meters away, Gare de Nord is about a 5-10 minute walk and the Chateau-Landon metro is right under the hotel however none of the main tourist attractions are very close so the location of the hotel is not very easy to pop by to change if weather conditions change or to drop off any purchases.

Room was nothing like the image of the property. The rooms are painted black, not orange so seemed very dark and dingy. The room air conditioning didn't work. We were told that the hotel doesn't turn on the air conditioning units until the month of July (This was Not stated when booking!!). We were offered a fan, which helped a little, but was generally blowing hot air around the room.(average daily temp was hitting around 26 degrees!!) On numerous days, the towels were not changed, and the towel rail had no heating, so it was horrendous having to use tiny towels. The noise from the tannoy announcement system at the train station behind the building was so loud, you couldn't open the window. We had the train station announcement jingle stuck in our heads for the entirety of the stay! It's not the fault of the hotel, but there are large numbers of the homeless in this area, so it generally stinks of sour urine, and when it's a really sunny day, the stench is unbearable. It's safe to say, this was not a great experience of the hotel and i have already advised anyone who asked about our trip and this location to avoid it at all costs.

Do not ever stay at this hotel! One word that describes it all is TERRIBLE.

It was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel in my life. My sister's family and I booked two rooms for 5 and 6 nights respectively. When we entered both the rooms, the lack of cleanliness left us a little surprised but the worst was still to come. On the night of June 5, suddenly there was no water in the rooms - not one single drop. We kept asking the front desk when it will be fixed and they kept saying 10 minutes. It was not fixed even until 7 am and no body had any answers. It ended up being our worst hotel experience ever and that it would happen at Ibis styles was very shocking.

I liked that the metro station was almost attached to the hotel but it is better to ask for a main street view room so the metro noise wil be much less. the hotel is old.

Short stay in paris

We stayed mon to Friday it was very friendly and enjoyed our stay it was lovely and clean breakfast was delicious too😊

The staff were wonderful - there were a few hiccups at check in but they resolved immediately. the hotel is basic but that's expected for the price. the breakfast was great; a standard continental with loads of coffee! Near Gare de l'Est and Chateau Landon Metro and 5 minute walk from Gare de Nord so ideally suited for all areas of Paris

Disappointing

Phone not working; water intake on toilet had to be turned off as it kept running; no shades on the bedside bulbs - nothing done during 4 days of stay

Good location, comfortable bed, however it's quite noisy with the big train station behind the building. Also, the room was in REAL need of an update. The carpet looked dirty (not because it wasn't clean, but because it's old), the bath broken and clogged, and it was very dark in the room. They are refurbishing the hotel though, so it should be addressed soon :)

It is right next to the metro station and few mins walk from the central station, the location is really convenient. The buffet breakfast provides quite enough varities, although a little bit crowded in the morning but it was alright. Overall was a pleasant stay.

Please look for other property. This property is terrible and disgusting. I mean it. 1- False alarm went off and everyone had to evacuate 2- the room a/c was barely working and everyone was complaining about it. The reception was cold, the rooms were hot. Concierge was not helping. They are there just to get a paycheck and do not care. 3- the room, the sheets, the pillow were dirty. 4- one of the bathroom light was out. When taking a shower, there is no curtain therefor water everywhere that we had to clean. The bathtub was rotten ans broken at the bottom and you could see the wood inside. I could go on but overall I give a 1 star. The area is absolutely disgusting, someone pooped right at the entrance. I mean diarrhea. I almost stepped on it. We walked about half a mile and there were lots of homeless and people just piss on the street. Stay in other areas and other hotel. Not worth the price we paid. Oh if you are going to the airport, do not book through the hotel. They quoted us 70euro but we took a regular cab and it was 40 euro we agreed upon. Do not pay more than 40 or 45 euro from this hotel to CDG

The staff were very nice and helped any time. the room was very clean and we had a very good brakfast. it was quiet beside the train station nerby at 6 am. the air condition hadnt cooled but outside was acool weather. Also it was safe outside although one drug addict can appear next to the hotel at night or at day light. we stayed for 3 nights and we were very pleased. there is a coffee restaurant across the street, and nearby a supermarket, patisseries, pharmacy, fruits stand, and a restaurant at rue/street du fabourg saint martin.

The room was very noisy. It was located near the lift and you hear 2 sounds all night long 1) the ping of the lift arriving 2) the grinding of the lift shaft - it clearly needs maintenance which the hotel manager agreed. But was unable to assist as the hotel was at full capacity.

I have stayed in many Ibis hotels in the past and always had a good experience, but this one was the exception. The hotel is awfully dirty…bathroom needs a huge restoration, walls and carpets are dirty. I wanted something near the train station, but this hotel is “too” close (you listen trains all night around, indeed you can feel window vibrating with every train arrival). I am sure it is possible to find a much better hotel for the same price.

An excellent location next door to Chateau Landon metro and near for Gare de L’Est and Gare de Nord. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good with cereal, pastries, cheese, ham, yoghurt, fruit, juices and hot drinks. Free WiFi. We were at the station side on fifth floor, so there was some noise , but not much and quiet during the night. Thought it was great and would stay again.

The hotel should the breakfast option because every single day it is the same menú. Location is excellent

This hotel was terrible, For two days I had no sink to use since the plug or the sink did not work properlly, The bath was dirty and nasty and the end of the tap lever for the bath was jagged and I nearly cut my hand open. This hotel is nasty

Burned money

I had all booked And payed for my daughter birthday, then Covid came and Airfrance decided to cancel flights , when I call hotel to say it is not posible to come anymore they say they will give me voucher for next 18 months to use but the hotel booking company should tell them. I’ve Call your company and no answer for several times. So for me Momondo and hotels . Com were the worst deal I ever made.

The toilet floor need to be changed.the quality of it has degraded and dirty. But other than that is in normal condition

The bathroom was disgusting - all around the bath was dirty - the floor was not clean - the sink was also dirty, I was not able to take breakfast in the hotel as it was so appalling.

Gute Lage, Metro im gleichen Haus, Frühstück war auch gut, Zimmer und Bad sind schon ein wenig abgewohnt aber Preis Leistung ist sehr in Ordnung! Personal sehr freundlich!! Nicht in Ordnung für die heutige Zeit, kein einziger Deutschsprachiger TV Sender!

Convenient location, building needs renovation

The location of the hotel was pretty good, as it was not far from Gare Du Nord (we arrived from London via Eurostar train). The staff were helpful and pleasant, but the condition of the room was a little disappointing. The back of the bathroom door was peeling at the bottom, the room carpet felt grimy and mouldy, and the window could not be open fully.

Worst experience in all aspects.

This hotel is among the worst that I have stayed, all other brand inclusive. The basin in the toilet was leaking making toilet floor wet and slippery. While it is bad, I can still tolerate those conditions. What was worst is my daughter's toy was missing from the room. Reported it to the front desk, all they told me was it can not be found. Something beyond to me is missing and all I got was it can not be found. To make things worst, the toy is not about it monetary values but about the memories my daughter had in these 14 years and it really means a lot to her and to the family.

The position of the hotel was good, easy access to the train stations. The staff at the hotel were very helpful to us, the train timetable available in the lobby of the hotel, excellent breakfast options and one staff to clean up was very busy working to ensure all area was clean for breakfast. Transport strike during our stay, unavoidable, but staff able to suggest considering using a bus from Paris to Brugge instead as trains not running as usual.

Dirty bathroom

Bathroom very grubby - hair and dust on walls and floor. When booked was told that there was a safe in the room - this has now been changed but can only leave cash in hotel safe. The "free bottle water" was 1 bottle per room, per stay.Very close to Metro station. Breakfast good

Exactly what we wanted!

We got exactly what we wanted - a nice room with comfortable beds. It was clean and tidy, well presented upon arrival. The check-in staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast (included) had a good selection of cereals, yoghurts, breads and pastries. The only slight downside is that we went to the hotel on foot from the Gare du Nord and the area that we passed through did not feel the safest, particularly for a family with young children. This is obviously not the hotel's fault! On the upside, the restaurant opposite the hotel was great (Chateau Landon.) A really friendly host / waiter, good food and very reasonable prices.

The location was excellent, room clean and the bed comfortable. Was disappointed by the state of the bathroom, it is need was serious repairs. And the room overall needed minor TLC repairs.

This is not a 3 star hotel. More like 1 star. You can almost rate it a 2 star because of the staff. The A/C barely worked. Had to leave the window open to a busy street with noise and pollution. Carpet seemed old or just dirty. Breakfast was less than great. Bread and yogurt. No eggs or fruit. There was even a hole in the bathtub. Hate to think how much mold that adds.

It was terrible, the card keys kept deactivation, the cleanless conditions are bad since hair was found eveeyday, the amnities such as soap were missing and they deactivated the card in order for us to pay the second day the government tax and not wait for the checkout to pay the gov tax, similar to any other hotel (even though we were carrying a sleeping child, tired and at the end of a long walking day), they insisted to have the money on the second day. This is the worst service at hotel and i have been in too many hotels, this is the worst ever

The property is very run down in public areas, despite what appears to be marginal upgrades to public spaces. The room was filthy - particularly the bathroom - not just from recent stays, but from the long time accumulation of dirt on the floorboards, the scales of debris in the bathtub and in the air vent adjacent to the toilet. The water from the faucet smelled of sewage. The curtain was torn in the bedroom, the rug on the floor was nasty and I ended up sleeping on top of the sheets after observing brown stains on the pillow.

The good, the bad and in-between

Convenient if travelling by Eurostar, Metro station is a few steps from the main entrance to the hotel. Request for higher floors if you are a light sleeper. The rumbling of the Metro trains will wake you up if you are on the 1st floor.

Do not see just pictures. This hotel should be 1 or 2 star hotel. The staff does not have anything like a pen, wine opener, and things like that. Can you believe it that we just have only one pen? It’s ridiculous! My family visits Paris once a year, but I will not definitely stay this hotel again.

Nice hotel for the price we spent lots of time exploring the city and not much time in the room so was enough for us There are no tea coffe in the room but you have access to it 24hrs a day in reception area. Breakfast was basic but ok. Staff very helpful and freindly it helped that they spoke english I would stay again

We were given a lovely spacious room with 4 beds. Very clean room and the beds were firm and very comfortable. Hotel right next door to Landon Metro Station which was brilliant for travelling around Paris.

Bathrooms are dirty and very dusty, it’s too close to rail station noisy. At night time elevator noise is a killer. No bathroom ventilation. The chair in the room was broken. The reception except Helena are very unfriendly. Overall not happy

The staff was very polite. The breakfast was delicious. Location is spot on as it's practically on top of a metro station. However the room condition was rather poor especially the carpet. It was very dirty and had many spots.

A/C common theme in reviews

Upon checkin we asked the desk clerk how to operate the A/C. You know you’re in trouble when he tells you how to use it but tells you to “open the window if that doesn’t work”! Then, after scrolling through the reviews again, as I lay in the hotel bed sweating, I notice a common theme for the reviews; A/C issues. And guess what the “common response” to those negative reviews from the Hotel manager were? “Rest assures our technical manager has taken care of the A/C issues”! I have no problem if the hotel doesn’t have a/c but market yourself as such, and not keep offering “fake solutions” on the review boards! Otherwise, I really found the location to be quite easy when taking a train to visit Paris. Subway is beneath the hotel. Good breakfast for a reasonable price. Staff were helpful as much as possible. It’s a basic hotel but offers a good value in regards to location and breakfast....but remember that you are primarily there to SLEEP. This becomes quite difficult when you have an open window and are sweating.

Constant sound of trains from 5am to past midnight. Not clean in bathroom, few facilities in the room. No iron in rooms. Good location for travel to gare du nord or gare du l'est and à tube station entrance is next to the entrance of hotel.

Paris get away

Location is good. Should consider putting USB charger in the room and some hot breakfast; the only thing that is hot is the coffee. Ladies at the Reception should smile more... consider customer service training.

Location is right near the station which is good and nice restaurants in the area. Probably not the nicest part of Paris though but we wanted to be near the station. The hotel itself is nice, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a decent size, basic but all you need. breakfast was basic as well but enough to start the day. There is a coffee machine available all day and the hot chocolate was lovely.

This sink and the tub were clogged so water did not drain. The noise on the street with traffic, police sirens etc. made it hard to rest.

It was ok, very basic so if you are in Paris to see the sights and will be out the majority of the day and are on a budget then this place is suitable. What it does have going for it is that is literally sits on top of a train station and it's a 5 minute walk to Gare de l'est

Great location for the metro and train stations. The rooms need a tidy, which I know is planned for this year, but small things should be addressed now such as the room temperature.
