No-frills convenience

I needed a low-cost, no-frills hotel for the night before my flight home. The Ibis fits the bill.

A lovely central friendly hotel

A lovely clean well designed hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast. Lovely bar/lounge with view on 8th floor. Price very reasonable

Unfortunate time.

Good location across street from central bus station and bus to center of town. Only problem was noisy and had kids running and playing in halls from 0600 until around 2200. Notified desk but too many, even in elevators.

The hotel is very nice and clean, the room is big and pleasant. I have eaten in the hotel every day, their cousine and chefs are fantastic! Loved it

Overall disappointing.

Overall everything was poor, starting with cleanles in the apartment, not comfortable double bed wich was made by two single beds, noise from street, smell of cigarettes in the apartment. And I was surprised communication Lady Receptionist wich was very rude and unpleasant at all. Definately I not recomended to no one to stay here and after min 10 visits I probably never back again.

Great location, very nice sky terrace and good room condition. I would suggest investing in AC as with heat season the room temperature was very high. Apart from that would definitely recommend it!

The location was ideal for our intended visit with relatives. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was good. Front desk staff were very good.

Nice hotel, close to city centre and with shops and coffee shop near by, 2 morning got woken up by noise of vacum cleaner in rooms next to our Bar staff very flexible and prepared some cocktail out of the menu for us

Cheap

Our room smelled really bad, like sewege, and shower had mold. Walls and window were paper thin and we could hear traffic all night long. Breakfast was decent considering the price of the night.

Great Place, great parking space and spacious room. Had a great sleep. Great service. Breakfast was good. Bit outdated bathroom (i.e. corking around the shower) which gave impression of shower not being clean.

I had booked ‘a quiet room’ but receptionist at the desk probably didn’t look at my request and we got the room overlooking noisy high street and experienced absolutely sleepless night. We enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning and the other personal at the desk said sorry for their colleagues inattentiveness. I think

Convenient location, near bus and rail station

Kitchen was closed, so no evening meals or even snacks. Otherwise fine for a short stay.

Checkin was fast and simple. Room was a little small but sufficient. Breakfast was great. Baby crib was provided free of charge and was already set up in our room upon our arrival.

We Carme by car and a bit of problem accessing the parking lot. Your reservation showed a two bed room plus rollaway bed, but the clerk explained such a thing did not exist and suggested a three bed rom for a little bit more money, which was perfect for us. The carpet in a zebra design was not pleasing, rather wild. Breakfast very good. On our way out of Kaunas we saw a new Magnus being built, which I am sure will be more modern

Nice affordable hotel

Nice clean hotel with a plentiful breakfast included in the room price. Good value for money.

This is decent three-star hotel. Location is great, hotel is near train and bus station also city center is within walking distance. We were staying here for the event in Zalgiris arena so the location was very conveniet. The room was clean and cosy. Only drawback was uncomfortable pillows. Staff was nice and helpful.

Not bad overall, but I happened to have room facing the main street, terribly noisy, if wasn't for my tiredness, would've have left with no sleep. Breakfast was basic. Door handle in my room fell off. On a plus side - bed was great comfort, really good mattress, duvet great quality. Would stay there again only if was guaranteed to have room on quieter side.

Convenient next to bus terminal. Renovated facilities comparable to typical hotel chains. Walkable to major touristic areas without heavy luggage.

Right across the street from the new central bus station. Otherwise a bit of a walk to tourist sites. Helpful staff.

Hotel staff was excellent, recommending that if I wanted to walk to the Kaunas Castle (3km) to take the less heavily travelled roads. Found a great promenade that made the walk fascinating.

Fine hotel - good breakfast

Good choice for convenient to find hotel. We booked it at night and arrived late, good service at reception. Room was small but fine. Parking was convenient.

Conveniently located hotel

I arrived early but my room was ready so I was really pleased with the early check-in. The place felt a lot more modern than other places I stayed in Lithuania, the bed was comfortable, bathroom was modern (thumbs up for the floor heating) it was very clean appealing. Reception staff was nice and helpful, gave me a map and also explained how to get to nearby sights. There's a shopping mall a short walk away though it didn't matter to me. The old town centre was quite a long walk away, though it was pleasant, if you stop to take photos and walk in a leisurely pace I'd say it's a 30-45 mins walk. The room had strong wifi signal and the TV had many English channels, but the room was barely sound proof and the noise from next door was at times unbearable. I only stayed for one night so I ended up just putting up with it. I had only one massive disappointment here: breakfast. I went down to have breakfast half an hour after breakfast opened and there was absolutely nothing on the buffet table. There were 2 slices of bread and one slice of ham and a mess that looked like starving people raided the table. There was no milk, for every item I had to ask the waitress to bring out, she didn't look impressed. This was early in the morning and not 5 minutes before breakfast was closing so I really didn't understand neither the state of the place nor the attitude.

I was at this hotel for 8 days... and I wasn't very happy at all, the service was very bad. They cleaned my room Only once in 8 days! and when I asked them to clean the room because was very dirty they said no sorry we are busy!

Functional, Value hotel well located

Excellent value for money. Room was tidy and well maintained. Reception staff quite busy. Basic breakfast buffet but perfectly acceptable for the price. Located conveniently for Kaunas train station and within walking distance (10-15 mins) of the main shopping area/town centre. Also close to the modern Akropolis shopping centre. Particularly impressed with the rooftop bar on the 9th floor with great views of the city!

The stay was short but sweet. This is a great 3 star hotel. TV is tiny thought but personally didn't use it much.

Great budget option

This was just a one-night stay, but for the price, I think it's a great bargain. It's right down the street from the train station and has great proximity to Akropolis and the arena. The bedding was comfortable and the breakfast, although very basic, was decent. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed 3 nights on excellent weekend break. Hotel clean and good location. Would recommend for the price.

Some of the staff were great while others were perhaps less friendly. The cleaners often changed the towels and emptied the bins only. The food was very nice, especially the mushroom soup. The upstairs bar was very pretty and relaxing to sit in. It wasn't always open though as sometimes they held events for outside parties. The location was very good for public transport with a major shopping mall nearby.

Staff at check-in need to be sent for customer service training. Apart from that, the hotel is fine, you get what you pay for. Walls are thin between rooms but rooms themselves are fine.

Hotel has inner free parking place, which is quite convenient. The bar is on 9th Floor, where the beautiful panorama of Kaunas can be seen. It is a good place for business and for family as well.

The staffs of hotel were very kind and helpful. I did not have enough time to go to eat breakfast and the receiptionist be prepared pack of it. Thank you for her help!

Excellent hotel and recommended

Visiting friends/- needed to stay overnight and we booked this place. Very satisfied; private hotel parking with security, well appointed room, accommodating staff, excellent breakfast, best Wi-Fi bandwidth encountered (even video skyped family with no lag). Shall book this hotel again as often visiting Kaunus and very good value.

Room and bathroom were clean. Buffet breakfast was good. Most of the front desk were friendly. Wifi works on 1st and top floor. Bad elsewhere. 30 minute walk to old town. Fridge in room would be nice.

Very clean room. location is so nice because there is a bus center in front of the hotel. But unfortunately I could not use WiFi in the room.

Quaint value for money hotel with gorgeous skybar

Very conveniently located close to the Kaunas train station and bus station. Beautiful view from the sky bar. Decent room for a 3 star hotel. Clean beds and room. A little far to walk to the Old Town (30mins) but surrounded by many other cathedrals and museums.

Great service and facilities, I would highly recommend to friends and family.

No housekeeping service

During the reservation I left a comment asking for a double bed cause its a couple staying and there were two single beds with two single duvets. Room was not cleaned entire 4 nights stay. Only the bin was emptied first two days. One day there were a lot of rubbish to bin, we placed a PLEASE CLEAN sign and when we came back the sign was removed without even touching the bin. Very disappointed about that. The dirty glasses and cups were not replaced and washed had to wash all myself in the sink in the bathroom.

Well located for public transport

Although not central the hotel is opposite the city's main bus station and 300m from it's train station with bus and trolleybus routes into town. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was a generous buffet.

We stayed 2 nights because of a basketball game of Zalgiris Kaunas. The hotel has a good location.. very close to Akropolis and Zalgiris arena. Also close to rail station 5 mins by walking. There is a supermaket Maxima around. The breakfast was standard and our room was clean and comfort for us. The only 2 cons.. There are not a safe and a mini bar in the room.

Good Hotel

Its in a good location, close to the train station so ideal if you are arriving by train like we were its a short two minute walk. Its a bit of a walk in to the main tourist area (old town) about 30 minutes. However taxi's are extremely cheap and the public transport is even cheaper. The staff are really friendly and the hotel is in a good condition. A must is for a drink on the 9th floor roof terrace , it has great views over the city, food and drink in the hotel is good value for money.

Very pleasant hotel

I really had no complaints about this hotel at all. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were as advertised, everything worked, and it was competitively priced. It is a bit far from the old town, but of course next to bus and train stations, and you can't have both in Kaunas. The trams are easy to use. Would certainly stay there again.

Noisy

I booked the Magnus Hotel because I was only staying one night in Kaunas on my way to a wedding in Marijampole and it is just over the road from the bus station. All I wanted to do was drop my bags on and go and explore the city. My first impression was that it was clean and well presented and the receptionist wasn't in favour of eye contact but she was helpful. There is a roof top bar which has good views. The food served was pretty much the same as you get in any regular restuarant in Lithuania but at a higer price. The room was clean and a nice size. Unfortunately it was at the front of the hotel which was on a busy road. I should have guessed from its location near the bus station that it wouldn't be very quiet. The weather was warm but I had to make a choice between noise and heat as the windows could be closed but there was no air conditioning. I was also kept awake by lots of doors slamming and someone even knocked on my door at one stage which was a bit disconcerting. I had to remind myself that it was possibly just one of the youngesters in the basketball teams staying in the hotel that had probably forgotten which room they were in. I would recommend staying here as it was clean and very convenient for the bus and train station and also only a 20 minute pleasant walk to the old town. If you're staying for longer than one night though I'd look elsewhere.

Fantastic service especially from Zivile. The breakfast was great. It would have been nice to have a water boiler and some water in the room.

Empfehlenswertes Hotel

Schönes Hotel mit sehr guter Verkehrsanbindung, ideal wenn man mit der Bahn anreist, etwa 6 Min. Fußweg vom Bahnhof. Busbahnhof gegenüber. Auch die Innenstadt ist fußläufig erreichbar. Ich hatte ein Zimmer zum Innenhof, absolut ruhig. Zimmer zweckmäßig ausgestattet, nicht gerade groß, wie bei ibis üblich. Komfortable Betten, sauber, schönes Bad. Frühstücksbuffet gut, reichhaltig, mit mehreren warmen Speisen im Angebot. Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung. Insgesamt ein Hotel im oberen Komfort-Bereich der ibis Hotels, würde ich ohne Bedenken wieder buchen.

Ett trevligt hotell med fri bilparkering. Rent och snyggt. Bra frukost. Ett hotell man gärna återkommer till.

Nice rooftop bar at Magnus

The breakfast was very good and I think its included in the price almost in every case. The Hotel Magnus has also a very nice bar at the rooftop, where you can get drinks and tap-beers. At night it is miraculous

Good location with reasonable price

The hotel is undergoing some changes and the communal spaces (reception, cafeteria, bar) are now redesigned. However, the rooms are exactly the same as few years ago. The heating was turned off and I realized it only when I got too cold. Shower curtain is hard to open/close and not the correct length.

Good place to stay

Bed is comfortable and the room is good but the shower floods. Location is perfect just next to bus stop to the center and bus station. It was quiet. Breakfast could be better with some gluten free bread and some options for celiac and lactose intolerant like me. Staff is nice and i check out at 1 pm.

Convenient location！

The hotel is directly opposite the bus terminal. The station was very convenient within walking distance. I think the people at the reception were kind. Breakfast was a buffet. There were not many kinds, but it was enough.

Ordinary 3* hotel

There is nothing unexpected about this hotel: you get everything you need. It is clean, well maintained. We had troubles with the key-card, so eventually we got the new one. The room has air conditioning, which is very useful in those hot summer days. The bar at the top provides almost 360 degrees panorama of the city. A perfect place to watch the sunset! The hotel has quite big parking. The breakfast are good, with some warm dishes.

Das Hotel ist gut geeignet um die Stadt zu besichtigen. Die Bushaltestelle ist direkt am Hotel. Es gibt leider kaum Restaurants in der Gegend..

Good hotel, only one negative point.

The rooms on the street side are just too noisy, the windows are not soundproof at all. It's really a pity, as the hotel itself is ok and the lobby and breakfast room have efficient double glazed windows. The WiFi works well and the breakfast is correct.
