Edinburgh Central
Good modern clean room with excellent shower. Room prepared early as requested..Very good check in.
Very friendly, great location, best shower!!
I recently stayed at this hotel, and I had a wonderful experience. The breakfast was absolutely perfect, offering a great variety and high-quality options to start the day. The location was also ideal, making it easy to explore the area and get around. It truly enhanced my stay and made everything convenient. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great location and an excellent breakfast experience.
Centrally located hotel, generous breakfast, comfortable rooms and very helpful staff
Lovely stay at the Ibis Styles in Edinburgh, the location is excellent, rooms and bar area were both really cool and funky, amazing shower! The staff were really friendly and helpful
Perfect location!!!
Our flight arrived at 8 am and we took the tram almost to the Ibis Styles door step where we were able to check in hours early. The room was abit small but everything we needed...the shower was amazing! We were invited to eat breakfast before we headed out to explore the city. The Ibis was the perfect location to walk to Old Town and City Center. It was abit of a walk to Dean village and around the back of the castle to Grass Market but we did it all. Edinburgh is a wonderful city and the Ibis was a perfect place to stay. The breakfast was delicious and the staff so nice and accommodating...highly recommend!!!
Great location, rooms and experience for the price
Great central hotel
Great location hotel staff were fab. Room was great with a comfortable bed. Very clean great shower too. Would stay again
It was such a beautiful cute hotel just loved it. Staff were friendly and offers very comfortable. Everything was walking distance
Wonderful stay
Amazing hotel in the centre of Edinburgh, exceptionally clean and modern. I was not so happy about the service charge at the bar which my husband stood and waited for for a bottle of wine. We refused to pay this and it was taken off
I had a mobility scooter and the staff were so helpful. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend!
Bueno
Muy buena la ubicación del hotel, cerca del centro, lo único que no me gustó es que no tiene heladera ni caja de seguridad en la habitacion
Stay at Ibis Styles St Andrews
Great value for money, well positioned with excellent staff that made us feel right at home!
Great hotel
Rooms a little small, bit staff , facilities and location first class
Room was extremely small - I know you're right in the City Center, but this was smaller than expected. That said the staff were sorry we were disappointed and were very helpful otherwise. The included breakfast was wonderful - probably the best I've had for free. There's a nice bar if you want a drink. Location was great - close to Waverley Station, and all the shops and restaurants.
Absolutely beautiful and I very much enjoyed my stay. Great location right near the heart of the city. The rooms be stunning, comfortable and extremely clean. Good communication from friendly and approachable staff and a very delicious continental breakfast. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Edinburgh.
Xmas shopping in Edinburgh
Lovely room in great location for central Edinburgh
Friendly staff, especially Janet and Holiday. They reassured me they could extend my reservations. They answered all my questions.
Beautiful hotel, amazing location. Continental breakfast was plentiful. Felt safe and secure. Taxi service from reception worked well. Only small complaint, left clean room alert on for second day and room not cleaned. We were happy not to on first day but freshen up would have been good and sign ignored. I know reception would have sorted it, but did not let them know as not that important.
Very good check in. A bit of a bun fight at breakfast, food good but space a bit limited for comfort at the weekend. Delightful room with a view 10/10.
Very conveniently situated on St Andrew Square. Hotel staff were engaging and keen to ensure everything for my stay was available. Clean rooms with a very cool vibe - would stay again!
Perfect location for the christmas Markets. Lovely decorated bar and lobby area giving it the christmassy feel
No parking available and they were doing construction so was a little noisy in the morning. Staff was friendly. Breakfast so crowded we opted to leave and find something
Edinburgh Christmas
Edinburgh Christmas visit Fantastic location Amazing staff , comfortable rooms, lovely ambient bar area. We will definitely return.
We return every year to the Ibis as the location is perfect for exploring Edinburgh. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has recently been renovated to a high standard and continental breakfast is great with plenty of choice highly recommend this hotel
Great location
The hotel is in a fantastic location 5 minutes walk for Waverley station , many restaurants , shops and hop on hop of bus stops
Great hotel, central location, very clean , Staff friendly and very helpful Breakfast incredible! Such variety - something to suit everyone Will definitely visit again!
Really nice room but very bad curb appeal as scaffolding front of hotel I found it hard to find it. My room was nice but looked into a wall I was in room 508 not the best
Convience Poor Staff Attitude Breakfast was very average
Great central Edinburgh Hotel
Great location with fantastic views from the 6th floor rooms. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Very good buffet breakfast. The hotel was spotlessly clean.
Fantastic
Third stay at this hotel. Will be back
Great place, great location
Perfectly placed for Waverley station and walking around the city. Clean and tidy. Lots of art dotted around. Staff were friendly. Continental breakfast was lovely. Nothing to fault really!
Great hotel
Great central hotel. Excellent decor and comfy beds at a reasonal price.
Fantastic location, beautiful property!
Double room
I now realise on booking a double you have to name 2 people for each room , I don't and was then charged extra for breakfast , won't book with hotels. Com agsin
Worth every penny
What a fabulous hotel located in a fabulous location with an extremely friendly staff!
Great location and lovely hotel.
Excellent hotel close to bus terminal and train station
Lovely clean room, excellent staff, Really great breakfast .
Attractive decor, huge tv. Scaffold obscured view so was a bummer. Good breakfast.
Nice hotel, very modern, room was a little small but fine for a couple of nights stay, continental breakfast was great, plenty of choice, i had porridge every morning and it was tasty. I couldnt find the hotel initially as it is covered in scaffolding which was a same, the receptiinist was helpful andgave us a room in the back where there waz no scaffolding as i could imagine there would be very little light getting into yhe front rooms. Staff were nice but i would suggest they pick their heads up from the monitors when guest come in with a customary hello.
Can’t beat the location! Property was clean, breakfast was great. Room was small but not unusual in Europe. Construction going on on facade of building and loud banging around 8 am. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay in Edinburgh.
Well located. Rooms are small and there is no room to put luggage.Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good.
Best hotel experience I have ever had.
We got into Edinburgh after a miserably long travel day, jet lagged and exhausted. The staff were amazingly friendly and accommodating. We got food and cocktails and crashed on comfy beds in a clean room. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. Could not have been more grateful for this stay.
Hotel was close to the Center of Edinburgh. Easy walking to nice restaurants. Breakfast was included, which was nice.
The Ibis Styles Edinburgh Centre St Andrew Square is a very stylish hotel. Our hotel room was very small; however, it was very well appointed and thoughtfully laid out making it very convenient. The location of the hotel is amazing. It is walking distance to everything—shopping, dining, site-seeing, and the Pink Triangle. The included buffet continental breakfast was nice. Breakfast began at 06:30 AM daily. We had an early flight to catch the morning of our last day at the hotel. We let the folks at the front desk know. Consequently, they prepared a bagged breakfast for each of us to grab as we left at 05:45 AM. We would definitely stay here again.
Lovely accommodation; clean, cozy, comfy. Lovely helpful staff.
Perfect spot to see the sites in old Edinburgh!
We arrived early and they let us leave our bags while we explored the city. friendly helpful staff. Spectacular breakfast for a “buffet”. Way past any we’ve seen before. The only reason I don’t give a full 10/10 is that the room was pretty small. Literally the only thing preventing it from being perfect. Right in the old part of the city. Walking distance to most major sites and the bus/tram stop very close.
What a great place! Room was a wee small, like the size you get on cruises, but workable. My only complaint is the shower is like getting water bordered due to a waterfall shower head in a small shower.
The front desk staff was informative, friendly & accommodating. The room was clean..the wifi was excellent. Great morning breakfast included with the room. I would definitely stay at this hotel again..the location was great!
Great place to stay. A lot quieter than staying on 'the mile' but easy to walk there.
Very stylish and in the heart of the city
Very convenient to the tram and train stations with lots of good restaurants and shopping nearby
The hotel is located in an excellent neighborhood.
Busy part of city. Bed uncomfortable.
With someone who has a disability it was difficult to bring luggage up the stairs and walk abilities
Expedia showed a price of around $245CAN so we booked and when we checked in the bill was $566 per room per night. Breakfast was very limited and only cold foods. Rooms and common areas were very clean
Everything was very proper and high-quality. The complentary breakfast BLEW MY MIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great location. Walkable. Very clean. Great breakfast and staff. Bathroom was a bit small but would definitely stay here again
Very convenient, close to the train station. The area is safe and walkable to almost everywhere. The staff are super nice and helpful especially Gosiah. The wonderful complimentary breakfast is complete. The rooms have been renovated and very nice.
Our room and especially the bathroom had an odor (sewer like?) and unpleasant. Room service did not replace items like coffee, tea and snacks. The floor was never swept or vacuumed. The front desk employees were excellent and the location is good but the rooms are tiny. Buffett breakfast good.
Excellent location, delicious breakfast, and wonderful staff!
It was our last night in Edinburgh and we could not have enjoyed it more.
What a funky place. Nice room, great staff. Bar was funky and good. Would stay again for sure
I stayed one night since trains south had stopped for the day. The best thing about this hotel is the shower.
The room was a bit small but apart from that everything was fine.
Ibis styles
Ibis styles hotel was excellent, great location, brilliant staff, very clean and very modern decor.
.
Great hotel
Lovely friendly staff. Loved the decor and made Edinburgh very accessible
The hotel was beautiful and within walking distance of the train station, restaurants, shops and convenience store. Would definitely stay there again.
Almost good.
Great location in St Andrew’s Square, and delicious breakfast offerings were definite advantages of staying here. The quality of the housekeeping was inconsistent and the rooms were very small considering the price.
I arrived on an early flight and the staff was very helpful in getting me a room as soon as possible. Nice to have a free continental breakfast in the morning. Easy walking to many of the sites in Edinburgh.
The location is great for walkable access to everything. The staff seem indifferent to their guests and in fact our family party was asked to move from the “lounge area” while we here waiting for our rooms to check in. The rooms themselves have no storage for personal items and were somewhat uncomfortable but very clean.
Hippie type motif. Breakfast was great. Staff friendly. Shower and room are small, but typical for Scotland. We would stay here again. One block from rail station and next to buses. Very convenient.
Excellent location, helpful staff, good amenities.
Location great.
Edinburgh tourist break.
Great staff, plus a really tastey breakfast - so good. The bedrooms are so tranqil and not a sound, so a good nights sleep plus followed by a good breakfast. What more does a tourist need in a 'city break'
Staff was very considerate and helpful
This was a one-night stay and our first in this hotel. The hotel is very well and centrally located, close to train, bus and tram routes. It was pricey, but so were all other hotels in the city during the Edinburgh Festival. The room was compact but comfortable - excellent bed and well-equipped shower room (best shower ever in a hotel!). The "Styles" in the title is presumably because the hotel and rooms have very modern ands colourful decoration - very welcome as a change from the usual hotel beige walls and brown carpets! Breakfast was a continental buffet - lots of options which was a good as many we've had abroad. Staff were young, friendly and helpful. We will certainly use this hotel again on visits to Edinburgh.
One of the best!
The room was beautiful and clean, all staff was friendly and they even offered weekend musicians playing in the dinning area. The breakfast was above and beyond. I would absolutely stay here again!!!
Pros & Cons
Pros; great location just off Princes St Very clean throughout Very good breakfast Cons; rooms quite small including the bathroom For the size of the room we thought it quite expensive.
Great spot just a block away from the hop on hop off stop.
Very clean and comfortable
Very good breakfast offerings!
room was very small but clean. bed was comfortable but there is some early morning noise from the back of the property. breakfast was good-buffet style. overall it is good but the room size was a bit inconvenient.
Great last minute stay
Great location and friendly staff. Small room but very clean and comfortable as a single traveler.
Everything was perfect. Only one thing that would have made it even better is a fridge in the room to keep drinks cool.
Would stay again.
The location, hotel and cleanliness were all great but my room was tiny. For an overnight stay is was okay and the bed was very comfy. The breakfast was also okay.
The hotel is very comfortable and the inclusion of breakfast is so convenient. Our room was spacious and the balcony was fabulous
The staff at this hotel was exceptional. They let us check in hours early and even changed our room because the first one was really noisy. The breakfast is a continental but there are out of options. It was actually really good! The room we had was tiny but we managed with three suitcases. There is no parking on sight so be aware of that but it is walking distance from everything in the city.
Compact but lovely room. Excellent experience from check-in to dining. A really great continental breakfast.
Great location
Excellent hotel with friendly team
Stayed one day but I was impressed. Great location, nice rooms though a bit on small side. Big plus that the staff is friendly and helpful. Will stay here again next time.
Convenient and quiet hotel, across the road from trams and close to lots of sites. Great breakfast options. Only downside poor Wi-Fi
Would definitely stay here again!
Such a lovely hotel! The location is perfect because it is a short walk to all the sites but away from the city center enough so as not to be noisy. All staff were wonderful! Breakfast was really great—a lot of variety and fresh options. Would definitely stay here again!
Total thumbs up
Great little property within walking distance of old and new town.
