Ideal base to explore Paris via the Metro’s and trains from Gard Du Lyon station that is 2 minutes walk away. Lovely clean hotel, very friendly staff and a great breakfast option.

The hotel was close to the Gare de Lyon station, and there were a few cafes close by. Staff was super nice and helpful. My only complaint is that the bed is super small for 2 adults.

We went for the Olympics. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was helpful. We could walk to the arena which is why we booked that property. I was more pleased with it than excited to be.

The place is rundown, our room and the lobby looked dismal, probably the photos in the posting were photoshopped to look bright and clean. The guy at the reception looked like he's annoyed that we're there and was very impolite. I am not sure who gave this place 4 or 5 stars. Would not recommend.

Great property to stay at for a long weekend

It's April, temperatures above normal, room is warm, yet the hotel's administration does not let anyone use the AC! Why say you have AC then if we can't use it!

We went to the wrong Ibis initially - it would help if the booking confirmation had given explicit instructions such as postcode or equivalent.

Lovely Hotel

I'm rather shocked at the negative reviews for this hotel. We had an absolutely lovely time. The amenities are plentiful, the staff was very kind, and the rooms were immaculate. The location is phenomenal, right by Gare de Lyon, perfect for taking the train. We had a great overall experience and would recommend.

Good value option with easy connections into city and a walk to the Seine (40 minutes to Marais and Notre Dame). Good value breakfast.

Not worth at all

Very very small rooms, not money's worth. Even basic minimum facilities, which are quite normal, are not provided like tooth paste, brush kit, tea bags, kettle.

Good hotel - normal Ibis standard. Very convenient location for the Gare de Lyon. We stayed one night. There are local shops and places to eat nearby

Wrong room allocation

I booked a room requesting to have two beds as we were two males. But when we arrived they had allocated a room with one bed. At the end we had ti get another single room from a nearby hotel. I find this is very bad and it has costed me double the amount.

Nice cute little hotel

Very clean and cute hotel with good view. Close the big train station very convenient for traveling to other country by train. The staff at the hotel were very nice and professional.

Room was far too small. We've stayed here before and knew the rooms were not large but the room we got this time was tiny. There was nowhere to put suitcases so we kept falling over them. It reminded me of a caravan! It's a great location if travelling to or from Gare de Lyon and the bed was a good size and very comfortable.

Close to Gare de Lyon

The Hotel is convenient for Gare de Lyon. Reception Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were small and amenities weren’t as good as hoped: two thin towels per room (no hand towels), no facial tissues, and multi-use face, hair and body wash which wasn’t very good for any of its advertised purposes. It wasn’t possible to regulate the room temperature, and leaving the window open to cool the room proved to be very noisy. WiFi was available everywhere in the hotel and was very good. The included breakfast was very good, with croissants, crepes, breads, meats, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt, juices, and a variety of coffees and teas. Neighbourhood had a good variety of restaurants and proximity to Gare de Lyon, Metro and Airport buses.

It is conveniently located next to Gare de Lyon. The rooms are tiny and have few amenities, but they are clean and reasonably comfortable. The breakfast buffet is good and the staff is friendly

Good reasonable hotel to stay in Paris

Located near the Gare de Lyon stop for the direct bus from CDG airport. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned everyday. Friendly and helpful staff with good breakfast and tea/coffee facilities all day long

All the staff like Hugo who assist us to call our driver. I forgot the name of the lady in front desk. Overall I like all the staff. I will recommend the place. Walking distance to Gare De Lyon station. Metro, Eateries and supermarket nearby.

It was close from the Gare De Lyon station in Paris which is what we were looking for. Staff was pleasant and the overall stay was good for the price we paid and was as per expectation from ibis.

Good overnight hotel right next to Gare de Lyon. Perfect for an overnight stay. Good eating places nearby, and main station has newspapers etc and many food outlets.

Room too small

I’ve stayed in many hotel rooms in Paris. This was the smallest so far with an uncomfortable and small “double bed”

Not much in the immediate area, it was just conveniently located to the train station for us the following morning. Comfy hotel, but no secure bike parking if that is a concern to you.

An overnight in Paris

It was fine as a one night stop over on the ,way to Provence. Conveniently located close to the Gare De Lyon and in a relatively pleasant area close to restaurants and a secluded walkway over the arches near the hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

Everything was as expected. A basic hotel to crash at night when expending 4 days in Paris with no hassles and a convenient, clean room. Walking distance to train, metro and even Notre Dame. Good places to eat around. The boulangerie across the street is really good. The only bad thing is that when checking in the recepcionist insisted that the room was't already paid. I strongly replied twice that it was the case and finally recanted. However, everyone was really friendly all the time. We could communicate in spanish and english.

Convenient for our needs near the station

The hotel is nicely located near to Gare de Lyon. Staff is very inattentive and really doesn't care about the guests. Room cleanliness could be better. A bit of the "I couldn't care less" approach.

Overnight in Paris

Just an overnight stay after between flying into Paris and taking train to Avignon. Hotel did the job, would use it again.

Felt more like a hostel at premium Rate. not even a chair to sit on let alone tea coffee kettle etc in room.Staff were there to do a job and thats all, no drive, ambition or care.

Excellent value as you would expect from Ibis

Everything was what you would expect from an Ibis. Well located, efficient check-in and out, and a small, basic room with a good bed and small, but very clean bathroom. And WIFI that works well.

Great location 2 mins from a major train station. Area immediately outside is a little scruffy but the hotel itself is clean modern and tidy. Not too noisy at night and the bed was comfortable.

Hotel under going minor renovation

The hotel was under renovation during my stay. A bit dusty at the lobby. Staff was helpful. There was no water provided in the room. Toilet is a little small.

Paris first time

Area was great near to exerting walking or by metro or train, hotel had some constructions which made some noise.

Convenient located

The hotel is properly located, close to the Gare de Lyon station, which gave us flexibility. The staff was kind and attentive. You can find cheaper option around the hotel to have your breakfast. I would stay there again.

Check booking or you may be charged twice!

Booked and paid on 4/12/16 and was charged £115.00 (plus banks transaction fee) on arrival (8/12) as hotel stated that bill had not been paid on booking. Manager next day apologised and said I would be reimbursed but this has not yet happened (12/12). Poor service and disappointed with booking service.

Convenient, clean and friendly hotel

We did not stay very much in the hotel itself, but the room was clean and comfortable and quiet. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good too.

Not recommended for families

You have to go go to the reception by yourself to get extra towels or pillows. We told them to change the bed cover but nothing was happened. Laundry will take minimum 2 days.

Nice simple hotel, what you would expect from Ibis. Very convenient location for catching trains from Gare de Lyon, with several nice cafés around.

Good place to stay for eurostar!!

Hotel was perfect for night in Paris. Great for gare du nord and lots of places to eat nearby. Room small but that's usual for Paris. Very clean, tv in room and free wifi. Area not great but near to metro.

basic room and easy access to metro and train

I stayed on the top floor with s balcony, maybe it is the reason why the hot water of shower running weak. the lift is a bit old with noise when moving, and some frontdesk staff can bearly understand or speak english. overall is fine for our stay

Ibis Gare de Lyon Diderot

Room was clean, functional and quiet. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Bathroom was a little small, but the bed big and very comfortable. Note: They are renovating the (only) lift for 3 months in early 2015.

Easy to find, small but clean room. No safe box in room but has a locker at basement for 2 Euros for a locker. Restaurants and laundry shop nearby.

Really close to the train station and Metro.

Really close to the Gare de Lyon train station, just cross the street and walk 3 mins. There's also a Metro station exit just 30 seconds away, very convenient. The shower is not so good, no water-prevent curtains around, not glass wall, so when you shower the water splashes out. Also, the water goes down very very slowly, so when you finish your shower, the bathroom is all wet (not sure if it is only the room I stayed has this problem). Not much places to eat nearby but there're always something you can find inside the train station I guess. The good thing I like is they have a locker room in the basement, for 2 Euro you can rent a mid-size locker, for 4 Euro you'll have a pretty large size one. You can store your big luggage there, take the train to other places, then come back in a few days.

Location is perfect

Overall impression very good. The location is excellent being close to Gare de Lyon for getting in and out of Paris to other cities/towns. The neighourhood is not bad with handy cafes and supermarkets. The room itself is ok, some may think it is small, but being in Paris, you can't expect much. The bathroom is of good size. The room is clean and bed very comfy. Wifi works perfectly. If it has tea/coffee making in the room will be great.

Hôtel proche de la gare de Lyon. Personnels très accueillant. Possibilité de laisser ses bagages en dépôt après le check out. Chambre propre et bien équipée. Nous n'avons pas testé le petit déjeuner. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter.

Todo excelente, limpio, bien ubicado, un poco pequeño pero el hotel solo se utiliza para dormir y bañarse, todos muy amables etc., solo que no funcionaba el aire acondicionado y por las noches el calor era terrible, aun así, sí volvería a este hotel.

Hotel della catena Ibis nella media. Stanza tripla confortevole ( non grande e bagno piccolino ma funzionale). Wi.fi ok. Personale cortese in reception. Non abbiamo usufruito della colazione. Stazione metro a 20 metri in zona ricca di locali e abbastanza tranquilla.

Positive: The Hotel is located close to the Metro Station Gare de Lyon from where one can go to all the sights in Paris. Walking distance to the Seine, but for some of the sights to far for walking. Negative: Personal at the reception sometimes not very friendly. We booked a 3 bed room including breakfast over expedia and when we arrived they explained us that only one person's breakfast is includee and that the 2 others need to be payed extra in the hotel. When we tried to explain that the booking portal did not mention this a person at the desk reacted angry and told something to her colleagues which we did not understand. We felt really unhappy in this situation and not welcome.

Chambre très propre, services à disposition à tous moments : fontaine à eau (plate ou pétillante), Borne arcade gratuite et fonctionnelle, baby foot, café/thé à disposition également. Positionnement géographique au top. Le seul bémol est le petit déjeuner qui est rudimentaire. Dommage c'est le seul point négatif.

Je me suis annoncée silver ayant droit à une boisson en tant que client accord il m'a dit non que j'ai le statut Classic puis la chambre qu'il me proposait étant toute petite j'ai demandé à la changer la seconde très froide on grelottait je demande à ce que le chauffage soit vérifié il paraît qu'elle n'était pas louable celle ci et qu'on ne comprend pas pourquoi on m'a mise la bas alors je demande à changer de chambre ce qui n'a pas été facile je suis restée décidée et j'ai été mise dans une autre chambre service nul et pourtant j'ai toujours été à cet hôtel quand je descends sur Paris très déçue cette fois

Bon séjour

Il y a une condensation importante sur la fenêtre que je n’explique pas vraiment (chambre 212). La réception devrait savoir que lorsqu’un client se plaint que la carte d’ouverture présente un signal orange, c’est simplement que la personne restant à l’intérieur a mis le verrou. C’est pas la peine de réactivité la carte puis de monter avec le client pour comprendre le problème.

Hotel à 10 minutes environ à pieds de la gare. Literie confortable. Bon petit-déjeuner mais cher par rapport au choix. Pas de gel hydroalcoolique dans la salle petit-déjeuner. Un seul ascenseur pour tout l'hôtel donc attente extrêmement longue en cas de forte affluence. Lit bébé déchiré sur les côtés. Hôtel pas à la hauteur pour un ibis ROUGE par rapport à d'autres ibis rouges dans d'autres villes
