Everything is high quality and standard with low price. Definitely will stay ibis in the future
Location: close to metro station (Zhangfuyuan). Room: very comfortable. Breakfast: variety of choices (~$4 per person).
The bathroom smelled- The bad smell seemed to be coming out of the plumbing.
Good location with very short walk to city train. Local bus line stop right in front of hotel. We walked to Aqua City shopping Mall and Fuzimiao Temple Area. Watch out when using the provided paper cup. We had one which was mouldy!Otherwise, hotel is generally clean and functional but basic.
Located just a short walk from Aqua City. Good location with bus stop for tourist Line 2 right at doorstep. There's a very helpful staff who speaks English Service level of other staff needs improvement
This is a good budget hotel for westerners to stay in as an alternative to a hostel. Rooms are inexpensive and close to the metro. Beds are fairly soft by Chinese standards. I would stay here again. Desk staff speaks enough English for check-in.
Price is great. Rooms are clean! Location is convenient.
Good location with large rooms
Got the best room at the highest floor with a view facing the Main Street. Room was large the toilet as well. Shower was weirdly designed with gaps at the bottom. Hotel was near the aqua city mall. However, Fuzimiao is slightly further with walking. Very near a metro station!
The hotel location is two blocks and a half from the subway. The hotel is safe and cleanliness. The room has a pleasant view with a comfortable sleep and a nice hot shower. The staff are polite as industrious. Glad I picked this hight quality hotel near the subway.
Great front desk service for English speakers
Great budget hotel in prime location
Great bargain hotel in a superb location. I found it very difficult to find a Western style hotel with a comfortable bed for a decent price in Nanjing. They s is the best I could find for about ¥300 a night. The bed was very comfortable but the room was a little small and the bathroom was the weirdest setup I've ever seen in a hotel. They basically took an RV or caravan plastic molded bathroom and put it in the room. You step up into a plastic box to shower etc. 2 people in there is quite a tight fit! Overall it's a great option if you're just looking for a bed for a night.
Hotel located near a subway, front desk is very busy, very difficult to ask for help, but provides 2 free bottle water/day, also hot tea in the lobby. Did not purchase breakfast (25¥/person), so not sure how it was.
Very good Hotel
I could not go wrong with Ibis hotels. very good location, nice room, fast internet.
Good location, clean rooms.
Location was good, easy to get to from the metro station(s), and near some areas with plenty of restaurants and shops, etc. Main corridors and public spaces a little worn out (marked carpets and walls, etc), but the room itself was clean, comfortable and quiet. Cannot complain.
Hotel
Room as value as your money Location: central, close to Confucius Temple (15 minutes walk), many restaurant, shopping centre Easy check in and check out Staffs friendly but speak little English Overall is a pleasant stay
Great location, great price for a decent hotel
This is a very clean and simple hotel, somewhat modern and relatively new and clean. Great location to get around Nanjing, with metro line about 5 minute walk away. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.
Clean hotel with loud street noise
The room was clean and had all the basic amenities for a business traveller. Wifi was strong and good. The window is very thin and you can hear everything going on on the street at night and in the morning. It doesn't do a good job of blocking out street noise even though we were living on the highest level.
Decent cheap hotel
It was a good enough place to stay for 250RMB a night. The rooms are clean and the bed is ok- way too hard of course. The reception was a bit rude but nothing too bad. I would stay here again if I wanted a cheap hotel to stay in.
Not Exactly Home Away from Home
For the price and location, the hotel was good enough for our 14-nights stay. However, definitely not the place to stay if you're high-maintenance or even average-maintenance. The hotel lists having A/C, and while that was true (it was even central A/c), there were some caveats. A/C wasn't continuously on throughout the day. It was only turned on in the evenings. Our stay in Ibis was during the beginning of the summer season, and the weather wasn't too hot, so I understand China isn't the U.S. and why A/C wasn't necessary. However, it was raining almost every day, and it got very humid which made it almost intolerable if we ever dropped by our room during the day for a break. That being said, this hotel is conveniently located--walking distance to subways, bus stops, Fuzimiao, Xin Jie Kou, etc. Also, I would be weary of booking this hotel via Hotels.com, because there were communication problems between Ibis and hotel.com. On my day of arrival, they couldn't find my reservation so I had to call hotel.com and an associate had to fax them my reservation. The front desk said I was lucky that there were rooms available. Would I choose this hotel again? Probably not. While I loved its location and value, there are plenty of hotels to choose from in the area.
Budget hotel
This hotel is definitely not luxurious, but at this price point I think that should be quite obvious. My room had several problems with it, but it didn't affect my overall stay at the hotel. The bathroom lights would flicker on and off, the outlets were lose and it was hard to keep something plugged in, and the TV would get loud all of the sudden for no reason, and the bed was a little uncomfortable. The hotel staff's english wasn't the best, but if you can't speak chinese you shouldn't try to stay at a cheap hotel anyway. The hotel is in a pretty nice location, and it's quite easy to find some place to eat, and there is a subway station within a 5 minute walk. It's an okay hotel, but just remember, you get what you pay for.
Nice Hotel close to downtown
Nice Hotel and nice staff. Near downtown, many shopping areas and food. For mudlims there are two near masjids and can found halal food. Two metro stations are very near to the hotel.
Not a pleasant hotel to stay
Room is clean but small. Nearby eateries are all hotpot shops. No cafe nor decent noodle stalls for a simple meal. Hotel breakfast was pathetic. Near shopping mall is at least 20 minutes walk away. Hotel surrounding is also quite dark in the night. Would not recommend wondering about in the night at all. Overall, very disappointing hotel. would not come back to stay again.
Good Location Made Up for Lack of Comfort
Easy walking distance from the metro, accessible to buses and the Nanjing Victim's Memorial, and next to huge shopping center - so everything you would want in location which made up for a hard bed, minimal amenities, and slightly below average stay. Our sheets were dirty and had to be replaced (which they were) and the bed was incredibly hard. The sheets were also starchy and itchy. No decent TV channels or coffee - but at least bottled water. The bathroom was tiny and minimal toiletries. Internet was spotty. Overall, I would probably stay here again if traveling but nothing more than a couple of nights.
Annoying smoking smell in non smoking room everytime. Stingy on extra pillow but otherwise clean
Horrible front desk service
I was given a room with a faulty lock. You can't lock your room door.upon complaining on the second day nothing was done. i endured with it for 3 nights but upon check out they even said i spoilt the lock. Bravo ibis!
Value for money hotel stay.
Ibis nanjing inside the room is similar to other ibis hotels worldwide. Location is good .close to fuzimiao and downtown attractions such as zhonghua men, Lao men dong, 1912 entertainment centre and a big shopping complex named Aqua city which also housed the holiday inn hotel. . There is a convenience store and a bakery located just beside the hotel. Behind the hotel is a row of shophouses of small restaurants offering reasonable fare. The cooking smell do intrude into the room if window is not closed tight though. Wifi is fast. Bathroom is tiny more like a capsule type in a train. Electrical outlets are enough with international sockets. Overall hotel is value for money. Can't complain much indeed. Stayed 5 nights total. Will stay here again if coming to nanjing.
Not comfortable stay
I have booked many hotels via hotels dot com. This is one that is way below my expectation for the price I paid. Room is small, no air con, bathroom is small, limited toiletries, no free coffee in room. We could smell people smoking even though it was a non-smoking room. We only stayed there for 2 nights and it was not a comfortable stay to say the least and we couldn't wait to check out. We will go back again.
Family trip
Good location for the price we paid. Will definitely go back to stay again.
Good
Good location near subway but smoke smell
First the reception desk asked for refundable deposit usually 100RMB. But for one night they said it should be ok without any deposit. When I first came into the room I found out they only provide paper in the bathroom and the toilet roll paper was very small size one (I thought it was a used one ) . The wall paper was not clean you can see many foot prints on it. During the midnight till 2am you still could hear the noises people talking outside the building even you had close the windows.I guess the area is a little bit lousy. Also I can smell a little bit smoke in the room not sure from the air conditional or the bathroom. The room doesn't contain fridge.
Solo getaway
The hotel was mapped on the wrong side on this website. Luckily, it wasn't different to find. Just get out from Exit 3 of Zhang Fu Yuan metro station, turn left instead of right. The hotel is located on the right hand side of the next junction. Room was great! There are plenty of food places downstairs! Room was clean and the housekeeper did a great job! But the towels provided were a bit old.
Holiday trip in Nanjing
Hotel Ibis live up to our expectation again! A budget hotel which is conveniently located near the metro station and a number of touristic spots. Hotel rooms are clean. Wifi was good. Given a chance, I would definitely come back to this hotel again!
Don't expect frills, but it's clean & does the job
First time staying in an IBIS brand hotel. Clean rooms to Western standards. Not many extra amenities. Beds are pretty firm but good for my bad back. The front desk staff won't win awards for friendliness, but they are very helpful and accommodating. The location is excellent. Just two blocks from a major mall w/ lots of stores + good restaurants. Just a block and a half from a subway stop. Also there are many little neighborhood restaurants and stores within a block if you like local simple foods.
Good location,close to many attractions
Hotel was reasonable for the price Enjoyed the area
excellent location, comfortable room
the location is excellent. very near to mrt (zhang fu yuan exit 3) about 5 mins walk. You can walk to fu zi miao area from the hotel for about 10 mins walk.
Value for money
The hotel is located about an 8min walk from Aqua City (large shopping complex) and 10min walk (in the opposite direction) to ZhangFuYuan Station. Our room was compact but sufficient, the bathroom is a pod within the room, like most Chinese hotels, the bed was on the hard side (but we are used to it) and it had all the standard amenities. We were already very familiar with Nanjing so didn't really need any assistance from the front desk, however when we needed photocopies of our passports & visa's they provided them free of charge. For the price - it's great value for money and would recommend if traveling on a budget. It's exactly what we expected - no fills hotel that meet our needs.
Nice cheap hotel, good location!
Stayed one day but didn't spend too much in the hotel. great price for what you are getting! better than local chinese hotels.
Nicest Hotel staff and experience
Be sure to ask staff to change bed if too hard. South China has hard mattresses where North China does not. They will change mattress if asked. Very nice staff at all times. Great Hotel and Great People. Thanks.
great value for money
great value for money. note that the map on the website shows a wrong location so please ignore it .
Centrally located
Near to Subway & Bus stops. One light in bathroom was fizzing, was fixed without mention to hotel staff (we forgot). Bed was too firm for my liking, my partner who is used to firm beds/mattresses had no issue.
Great location!
Great location to stay in. We walked everywhere and never even used the MTR. Hotel facilities were not brand-new, but everything very comfortable and clean. Staff were helpful when a phone got left in a taxi. I would stay here again!
Satisfied
Satisfied
Good budget hotel, convenient location
Good location, friendly staff, willing to help despite the language barrier. Breakfast is best avoided. Rooms facing the main road are noisy, the ones in the back are much better. Bath room a bit small, but the room was quite clean and overall basic but functional.
Good Hotel
The hotel is really good, however, a little bit far away from subway.
Excellent value for money
The hotel was very clean and the location was quite good. On the other hand, the outlets in the room were not working and the repairman never showed up. Also, the "person speaking English had a day off". However, overall the price was more then reasonable for a reasonable very decent looking hotel.
Good for price paid
For the price we paid it is alright. If price higher than we paid then it left much to be desired. If the price come with further rebate than it will be left only some thing to be desired, overall can stay here for good location and very standard hotel
should have a safe installed. clerks could have had more knowledge about directions, time consumred to go to places. just general travel info for visitors. could have a city maps availble for visitors.
location is good
location is so good and room is comfort, nice to me
Great location and good service
Location is really good. Room not very big. Staff is friendly and helpful. We booked the 1-day Nanjing trip advertised in the hotel but turned out to be quite unpleasant. We withdrew from the trip and hotel refunded us in the end. Very good and cheap local breakfast from the residential area behind the hotel.
Overall impressed
There's not often you find hotels in this price range that you would be happy to return to. This hotel does not have much in the way of ammenities (the two bottles of water provided in the room and the free wifi is about all it offers), but it is clean, fairly new, and in a good location. The hotel is located about 1 block from the metro station, just next door to a convenience store, and there is a variety of restaurants and a coffee shop located on the drive just behind the hotel. Only complaint is the mattresses are a bit hard for Western standards, but nicer than what you find in many Asian hotels.
Good sleep but the service is bad
Me and my friend both slept well in this hotel, the bed and the blanket are comfortable and clean. The location is good, shopping malls, and metro station are in the walk distance. But the staff at the front desk are rude and not friendly, and the city map costs 15RMB which is way too much,
First trip to Nanjing
Double with twin bed. 1. Slightly bigger than a typical Tokyo business hotel at a cheaper price. 2. Compact bathroom with disposable toothbrush and comb. 3. Bath towel a bit worn-up and need to be change. The towel give me a creepy feeling that this is a run-down hotel instead of Ibis. 4. The hotel try to be green with LED lighting which offset my negative perception of this hotel. 5. Staff a bit cold toward hotel guest despite the fact that both my son and I speak chinese (mandarin). 6. Quite a number of foreigners stayed here.
NEAR AQUA CITY - 30RMB FORM TRAIN STATION
BEDS R LUMPY, NOT A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP, BREACKFAST IS BASIC AND MORE FOR LOCALS, NOTHING REALLY FOR WESTERN, JUST A SMALL JAR WITH CEREALS EVEN.
GOOD LOCATION BUT BAD QUALITY, HOLIDY INN AQUA CIT
poor rooms, lumpy spriggy rooms, non smoking rooms are smoking floors,
Good enough
One member of staff spoke English. Helped me out. The room was basic budget and included complimentary bottles of water. Not bad. Would stay there again.
Good service and convenient location
Clean, inexpensive hotel at convenient location
I stayed for 3 nights and had a non-smoking room which was small but clean. The queen bed was comfortable and you can open the window for fresh air, as air-condition fan was not working. There are 2 free bottles of drinking water per day, a tea/coffee pot with 2 green teabags only, a hair-dryer and 2 pairs of slippers on the shelf. View and the noise level were fine, until you hear the high rise construction across at 6:30am some mornings. I left my laptop in room and was safe, as one needs room key to get on the elevator. Bathroom was clean and the modern shower was great. Tooth brush and paste are provided, no lotion. I tried breakfast on my last day for 28Y and it was bad. Better food in the alley just behind the hotel or walk down 5 min and turn left to a street full of fruit shops, small restaurants, pastry, dumpling and roast duck places, or to Aqua City mall which is huge has pizza, McD, Starbucks..Turn left at Aqua City, you'll see many more stores leading to Fuzi Temple area - very nice in the evening - great food, bargain shopping, people watching and boat ride.
Very basic hotel
The location is good (a short walk from the Metro) and close to tourist attractions. Reasonable price. The hotel is next to a road with busy traffic, and there was a construction site just opposite the building. The noise was horrible and made it very difficult to sleep. The bathroom (a cabin) was very small and the shower area was designed poorly - water would come out of the area. The overall standard was below that of a typical ibis hotel.
Below expectation
Was hard to find the hotel location. The address is not accurate and led us to walk around for a long time without being able to find the hotel. The air-conditioning is centralized but the management did not want to turn it on (only after request, they said they will turn on for 2 hours). Overall, I would not want to stay in this hotel again. Really disappointed with the service.
Good hotel, good location, good price
This hotel is a little more than my expectation. Good location, very clean and very reasonable price.
Convenient
Room & hotel is good except that if a friend were to visit u he cannot come up by themselves & we have to personally go down to bring them up. Also most of the time if 2 person stay one person need only register in ibis hotel in everywhere but they need both person.
Good staff service
Very satisfactory
Great place to stay
I stayed here 7 nights and I am very satisfied with my stay. The location is near mrt less than 10 minutes walk to zhangfuyuan station. It is near aqua city shopping mall and about 15 minutes walk to Qing huai river site. The only problem is wifi in room is not stable and there is construction right opposite the hotel but it is not an issue if you spend the whole day sight seeing.
Smoke filled odour
Even though Ibis said that this room was a non-smoking room, it was filled with a heavy and undispersable smoke odour.
Reasonable English and polite, helpful staff.
I had no problems with checking in or out, and the staff were always polite and helpful. The breakfast us generally Chinese, but it have no problem with that. The room was fine in all respects except one. The window was not sufficiently insulated from the outside sound. The first night I could not sleep because of the loud banging caused by construction work across the road, all night. The noise was not the fault of the hotel, but if the window insulation was better I might have been able to sleep. The second night was better because the construction noise was absent, although I could still hear plenty of road noise. Just south is Aqua City shopping centre, and if you turn the corner there and continue straight you will come to the Confucius Temple shopping area - just a few minutes walk.
Clean rooms
The rooms here are kept clean and tidy, except my towel had a long piece of hair on it, two days in a row (even the replacement did). The hotel is no-frills, modern, efficient. Bathroom looks like it belongs on a space ship, or a very nice RV. Long desk is useful for keeping organized. Floors are clean, which is always a big plus. Hotel staff speak little or no English. It's not as close to the downtown attractions as the Holiday Inn, but the price difference is steep by contrast. I would recommend this hotel to business travelers or singles, definitely not a romantic place though (unless clean and spartan is your thing).
VERY NICE HOTEL
SLEEP WELL
Had some issues with the hotel room key card. Was roomed on the 11th floor and had to go downstairs FOUR times to rectify the issue. Didn't help that there was only one key card given per room.
great location
friendly staff
Nice stay -- and cheap! -- typically fine iBis
I enjoyed my stay a lot. The place is conveniently located and the staff were really helpful. I kind of knew that I could trust iBis chain and I was not disappointed. The room was comfortable and clean. The free wi-fi was fast and reliable. The bathroom was huge! The hotel was new but it does look kinda old. There wasn't any bathroom mat so you'd have to tiptoe to the bed from the bathroom. There wasn't anything I particularly didn't like about hotel -- except breakfast, which was a typically dreadful cheap Chinese hotel breakfast: instant coffee, canned fruits and vegetables, old hams, and cold (supposed to be hot) vegetable.
It is what it is
Cheap place with small rooms that is very close to the Bund. It was a little noisy and obviously people had smoked in the room, so it didn't smell great, but it was all that I needed. A place to sleep. The metro is about a 5-10 minute walk away.
Solid Hotel
The hotel is a standard Ibis, clean, crisp, and near a mall with lots of food options (western and local). We asked for a non-smoking room and it was great! Only issues are: Linen is old and thin, but still works Check-in & Check-out were LONG and COMPLICATED due to booking information, not sure if it was due to Ibis or Hotels.com Beds are hard, but that is standard in Asia Note: there is construction going on across the hotel, if you’re a light sleeper try to book your room to the back of the hotel.
Convenient location but staff requires more training
Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in mid-March this year. It's conveniently located close to Confucius Temple area and metro station was only 10 minutes away (on foot). Room was clean but unfortunately full of cigarette smell (despite our effort to switch to another room already). Staff definitely requires more training to be more efficient to handle requests and enquiries. In Nanjing, it appears to be quite common that hotels don't provide tourist maps; they would charge a few RMB for each map.
Enjoyable Stay
The location of the hotel was excellent. There is an American diner beside the hotel and the prices are excellent. Overall, an enjoyable experience.
Excellent value
Friendly staff at reception with always a person handy who speaks good English and who will help you to plan your day. 10 minutes walk from metro and its central location make it easy to get to most attractions easily. Amenities basic but work well and rooms appear well sound insulated. Good place to stay if you will be out for most of the day and need somewhere quiet and clean and not expensive to spend the night. Have BBC world on TV.
Economical
Overall was a good stay. However, on the day of my stay, there was no lunch served due to group meeting. Besides, I would like to have some wine to be served in glass.
Very good location - only short walk to Kongzi Temple.
No accurate location shown on the web. Had a hard time to find the place.
Zentral gelegenes, gutes Hotel
很新潮的感觉,feel new style and differents than other hotel.i will tell my friends ask them can choose this hotel and close to shopping mall and some spots..to visit...i will come back again..
Well located in Nanjing
It was quite ok. Had problems to find it via GPS though. Better to search for the street

Very good hotel and nice and helpful personal. Clean and fresh.
