Never booking here again. Baby cockroaches in the sink in bathroom, notified management through feedback and nothing was done. Booking was pre-paid so options to leave were non-existent. Room is extremely small as half of the room is swallowed by the bed. Hospital rooms are much bigger cmand comfortable. Curtains had holes in them, looked like results of insects that create holes in fabric. Bath towels had stains. Twice, housekeeping opened the door without knocking. No inclusive or complimentary amenities like coffee, tea, sugar etc. Highlight: Fragrance of shower gel and working hot water.
Loud
Excellent location, friendly staff.
It met our needs regarding closeness to train station.
Bad bed
Personnel were very helpful and professional. The bed was awful with plastic mattress cover under the sheet. You will sweat all night! Not good sleeping experience.
Nice stay
Very basic room and not much space- however booked on a budget so think acceptable. Clean room but walls in bathroom a bit grubby/ marked. The bed was very comfortable and clean. Like that we could open a window and nice view. We would go back as good location. Would have been helpful to have kettle in 5he room for morning hot drink.
This was the third and final ibis Hotel we stayed at on our trip. All of them seem to have a ventilation problem in the shower: it either doesn’t work or doesn’t exist. And don’t get me started on room size—if you’re taller than 5'8", things get awkward. I’m 6 feet and managed to bump my head on the wall in front of the toilet. In general, it’s fine if you just need a place to crash. Room 404, beware… After checking in, I noticed ants—wait, ANTS—in the bathroom. I killed six, mentioned it to my wife, who was too sleepy to care, and we took a nap. Later, I went back in and saw more of these “things” that looked like ants. My wife shrugged, so we told reception on the way out for dinner. The receptionist looked confused by my request for bug spray and insisted on coming with us. Armed with two bottles (Windex and bleach), she started spraying the floor. I asked if we could switch rooms, but the hotel was full; she promised we could move in the morning. After dinner, though, the creatures had returned in force—bathroom and desk included. My wife went to reception while I packed up. She came back with a key for a new room, leaving me both frustrated and confused. P.S. To the curly brunette who yelled at me about bringing in food: I thought it was a bar in the lobby, not a restaurant. A little politeness goes a long way.
Very small rooms that are not expensvie
One of the better budget Ibis hotels we have stayed in. Good size room for price. Hair dryer was from the 60s though. Weird eggy smell from tiolet.
Good Value
Decent hotel for the price. Near the Train Station and the mall. Safe area and easy level walk to the historic Lyon area.
Budget friendly hotel close to one of Lyon’s main stations - 20 minute walk into old town - front desk staff were great - decent for the price
Loved it
Perfect hotel close to Part Dieu station! Walkable to vieux Lyon under 30min. Very friendly international (Canadian and Italian) and helpful staff! Would definitely recommend to stay.
Nice hotel in a quiet area, but still within walking distance of restaurants/cafes. Friendly staff, very easy to check in/out, and a clean, nice room.
Small room but good breakfast
Average
Average
clean property, small-ish rooms but clean
A/c was just a fan, room was stuffy and no Kleenex or safety box. Only one elevator was working was difficult to leave with luggage it always seem to fill at higher floors first. Was clean and breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Need both elevators working had to wait a long time No Kleenex in rooms or side tables for each bed Was stuffy
Friendly staff and has all your basics! Great location too!
Rooms facing the pleasant court yard are very quiet. 14 minute walk to train station Lyon Part Dieu. Rooms are small but suitable for short stays. Overall good deal.
Good free breakfast, small but perfectly fine double room. Free pool table and pinball. Friendly staff. Great value. Would stay again. Lyon is a classy city with lovely people.
Helpful and considerate staff, always going above board to help us
Really helpful staff, good breakfast, and really comfortable room
We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the friendly staff. Rooms are small but nothing they can do about it!
Rooms a little small No refrigerator.
Location was the best. The size of the room was the worst.
Close to the station and Westfield mall. Very clean and comfortable.
Friendly staff.
The rooms are small but the mist comfortable beds we've had this n our journey
It’s a nice clean hotel and cheap for the quality you get. It’s pretty impressive how well the windows block out the street sounds when they’re closed. The staff was very nice.
Great location. Bit cramped. I wasn’t a fan of the quirky style choices
Friendly welcoming budget hotel.
Handy, clean budget hotel, not too far from the train station. Near a shopping mall, with a cinema that shows films in English. There is a welcoming lobby area, with free billiards, table football, pinball and chess. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Great for the bus/tram into the town centre but we couldn’t get back because the main bridge was being repaired-not great! Bathroom was quite small but clean and shower was nice. Larger towels than the budget Ibis and two large pillows each. We went to the wrong Ibis at first (the one nearest the station). This one is actually a bit further away but not too far. Would definitely stay again.
Staff was friendly but the room was cramped and hot. We where rushed at breakfast even though breakfast was till 10 we got there 9.30 They started cleaning up at 9.45 switched of all the machines and asked at to move into the foyer with are breakfast 10. Receptions were very helpful and could fault the at all.
Some more coffee in room
Look for something else
The standard room is ridiculously small for two people. might be okay for overnight but not for more. The bathroom is tiny . The bed okay but there isn't much room to move in the room. Our door literally we could barely get in . You ran into the closet. Will never stay at an Ibis again. Plus no one honored the mask or elevator restrictions posted. I did not feel comfortable with this situation.
Overly priced closet
Nicely located but overly priced room. Tiny room and bathroom. I am a normal weight person and I found it extremely tight. I could not imagine a person a few extra kilos squeezing in that closet Firendly stuff though
A pleasure to stay here
This Ibis hotel is ideally placed midway between Part Dieu station and the centre of Lyon. Everything about it was top class, and in particular all the staff team were helpful, efficient and super friendly. It was a pleasure to stay here (four days).
Very good experience
The staff were amazing, rooms are very clean , little bit small. Very close to the train station and westfield mall, cross street from the hotel there is a big market with so many options of places to set and eat. The breakfast Buffet was great with the gluten free option they have.
If room and shower were bigger it would be great. Towels are too thin, thermostat in room not functioning well.
Everyone on staff was very very nice and helpful. Bed was comfy and clean. Hotel was pretty calm although you could hear the doors from the other rooms opening and closing + the shower was very small.
Stay elsewhere.
We checked in at 7pm and requested the reception staff to add an early breakfast, as we had a train at 7am the next morning. She mentioned that normal breakfast hours would be from 6:30 and confirmed that for an early breakfast it would be 5.50€/person, added it to our booking. When we checked out at 6am and asked for breakfast, a very rude reception staff(different from the earlier night) said we had no breakfast booked and that if we wanted to add it on then, it would be 10.90€/person. Zero points for hospitality. Rude staff.
Hotel with no room cleaning facilities
The room we got was quite small, first floor main street facing so a bit noisy. The main issue was that our room was not cleaned for the duration of our stay, i.e. 4 days. When I complained I was told it is due to the COVID, and that indeed it was supposed to be cleaned on the 3rd day. It is a pity this was not mentioned during the booking,
Receptionist very Rude
The Receptionist he was very Rude
Well situated.
Charge me extra at the property The room what’s very small
Great service, really helpful staff. We arrived late into Lyon and the staff were great at suggesting options for where we could eat. Top tip though - don't take a taxi to the airport. So very expensive.
Nice place to visit
We were there for a Conference.
Nice stay
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was nice and friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. We had a slight issue with the shower, they had holes for handles in the shower doors (not sure why) so water leaked out creating quite the mess. But other than that little issue the room was great. We enjoyed the food, eating dinner there twice and breakfast once.
Reasonably priced, clean, and convenient
The hotel was spotlessly clean and quiet. Rooms are small but met my needs. Convenient location 30min walk to the old town, and 15 mins walk to the train station
The hotel was very close to the station and not too far to walk to the central part of the city.
My sheets were torn, my room was dirty, don't stay there
Conveniently located, but would have liked more room amenities, such as a coffee machine.
Good value for money
Conveniently located near the train station, it was ideal for a one night stay. Staff was very friendly.
We stayed here recently from 8/23-8/27. The location was great. HOWEVER...bed bugs. We saw and documented a baby one, and 2 adult bed bugs by Day 2. The young man tried his best and we did ask for manager assistance, but we were basically switched from a 1st floor to a 2nd floor room (which some of the stuff wasn't working like the lights, etc) and then upon our insistence, a higher level. I'm surprised they did not offer to upgrade at all, or take on our request to be switched to a sister hotel. Bedbugs are a serious thing. I think the young man was directed to say sorry but it's not something that happens a lot. Well, My friend and I went home with bedbug bites over our limbs, and has spent nearly $1000 dealing with bedbug extermination. The fact that bedbugs actually showed up means the infestation has been in place for awhile. We are awaiting some kind of action on the part of Expedia/the hotel and will be happy to update this review if/when that happens.
Great hotel close to the city. Clean, modern, nice rooms. Walking distance to metro and busses. Overall a great place!
Staff did not allow us to check in. Although we booked for 3 persons(1 adult and 2 kids), when I tried to check in, ibis staff declined and stated that 3 persons is not allowed. We had to find another accommodation. They also told me that they canceled my booking, but I just found out that I have been charged the full amount.
Exactly what I expected based on previous Ibis experiences
Good location and friendly helpful staff, the room was clean and well maintained.
It's OK.
Great neighborhood. Room extremely small. No space for two people with suitcases, but clean and comfortable beds. The property is nonsmoking and they don't even offer a sheltered bench outside for guests who choose to smoke when it rains.
The staff at the hotel were really nice and couldn't be more helpful. The room was a bit small and the entrance to the room was difficult to navigate when carrying bags as it was so tight. Apart from being small the room was nice, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was good as it was a short walk to where we needed to be.
The reception staff were excellent, cooperative and made us feel welcome and comfortable.
Cool!
Not bad location, close to railway station, to big plaza and some bus stations were you can catch a bus to the old city or to metro station. The only thing is a water under shower cabin door that leaks every tine someone takes shower.
Had double bed . But it was two single beds put together and it was on a wooden floor and They would move away from each other during the night. Not Good
The breakfast was good and convenient. It was a bit of a walk out of the city center.
Easy and cheap
Very easy
15 min walk to Gare Par Dieu. Take bus C9 to Bellecour square. Take the same bus back to the hotel. There's a nice Bouchon a block away. Mono Prix is 3 blocks away. The double room is large enough for 1 person. I enjoyed the heater in the bathroom.
Location is great and facilities are modern. Room was small but as expected. However air conditioning didn't work and room was too hot so had to sleep with the window open but traffic was busy and noisy all night! Got very little sleep.
Friendliness of the staff, wonderful breakfast and cleanliness
Easy to access from Part Dieu and well maintained.
had a great bar/lounge area to hang out in all night
Great City and great Location
Ibis hotels are minimalist and functional. They provide a particular type of service and this hotel does it well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room, while on the small side was grand. The shower did flood but not too badly and the breakfast was good but could have been better The location was great in between the main railway station and City centre The Rhone express also stops behind the Station. So travelling from the airport is easy and cheaper than a taxi.
Ok
Very basic room and very basic cleaning. Several areas for the two days I was there were missed when cleaning was done. Good breakfast very ordinary buffet dinner.
Nice hotel just the other side of Les Halles shopping centre from Lyon Part Dieu railway station. We only stopped over for the night en route between Nice and Paris so the room had all that was required. Would stop there again.
Lyonnais gem
Honestly, the best part of the experience is the hotel's location right across the street from the Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse. For "foodies" out there, you cannot beat accommodations right near a food "mecca" like Les Halles. The hotel bears average standards but is worth the price one pays. The staff members were very friendly and the room was acceptable for a short term stay. The breakfast spread was above average (and it better be because of the hotel's proximity to Les Halles). The Concert Hall is also right nearby. It is a good 15-minute walk towards the Rhone River, where you can cross and be in Vieux Lyon in a heartbeat. I love this location and this hotel. Highly recommended...and will certainly be back in the future!
Aircon was off for the entire building and our room was a sweat box. It took some prompting to get a fan but it didn’t really help
Outstanding friendly and helpful staff. The room was on the smaller side but clean and the price was right, that's for sure. You could eat breakfast at the hotel, which we did and there was a wide variety of food available to choose from at a good price. There is a small grocery store out the door and to the left and directly across the street was the Les Halles Food Market where the food goes above and beyond delicious. This market has it all from cheese, wine, baked good and chocolate. There was also a mall that was a 10 minute walk away and access to the tram service was less than 10 minutes away.
Visit to Lyon
We were a group of friends staying in Lyon for 3 days. The hotel was conveniently located in the centre of the town and near a main railway station. It was good value for money, the rooms were moderately basic but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was particularly good. It was a good base for our visit...I would go back to this hotel again.
Wonderful staff everywhere, of service, friendly, efficient, attentive
The room wasn’t very clea. I saw a lot of dust under the bed when I had to get the remote I dropped. The bed and pillow could be better quality and not so old. But the breakfast was good and friendly staff made the stay pleasant. I moved to this hotel after hotel in Milan and can tell a huge difference. In Ibis I feel like I’m having real rest. I would definitely stay there again.
Friendly staff very clean rooms but very small
not bad, tram 1 is close by
the front desk told me the breakfast had scrambled eggs one the buffet when I checked in. the next morning I found it did not., only boiled eggs. also I reserved a double bed for my stay. I received two singles, they did offer to remedy this for my 2nd night but, since I didn't want to pack and moved ,I did decline
Very central and convenient. Nice hotel and very Nice breakfast
Modern hotel close to the main station, Lyon
The hotel was modern, clean and provided just what we needed. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The cleaning staff were a bit annoying, especially on the last morning when they were hassling us to clean the room before the check out time. My son left an item of clothing in the room. The cleaner brought it down to reception for him, which was kind, except that she threw it at him in annoyance.
comfortable and clean
Great location just 15 minute walk from train station and to the Hard Rock. Not great if you don't walk. I love walking, so, was great for me. Really friendly staff.
Bed was super comfy, loved the room. Best hotel we stayed throughout our whole 3 week Europe trip.
Quiet and comfortable
Staff was great. Hotel was close to everything. Really enjoyed my stay.
Wonderful!
nice hotel
Stayed several days this summer and last. took a walk on the river bank. then to the mall. then to the main city park.
Perfect in every way! ❤️
Perfectly located in the old port area, but don’t let the “old port” misnomer fool you. There are beautiful museums, cafes, restaurants and boutiques all around this part of Marseilles. Mimi’s flat is large, clean and beautifully decorated in a modern and inspiring fashion. She has multiple fans for each room and everything was super clean. I plan on coming back to stay here in Marseille next summer for sure. Loved it!
Nice hotel and staff. The staff was very helpful speaking English to us. Would stay here again.
Good
Conveniently located half way between the train station/shopping mall and the riverside. Hotel is clean and looks good. Room and bathroom a bit on the small side. Overall a good hotel and a good location and good value for money.
I stayed for three nights vi Expedia. 2 for about $80, and one for $140. For 7-80, it's a good option, but not for 140. Room: Fairly small. Looks minimal and clean. Barely enough room on the floor for a yoga mat. My room was wheelchair accessible , so the bathroom was big without a tub. Amenities are minimal. Very poor quality one serves all soap, and two thin bath towels. No facial tissue or face towels. Flimsy chair. Bed was not great (had dipping part on the left side of the bed). One blanket and two pillows. Noise: The first night I was so tired I didn't notice much, except strange banging noises (as if someone was knocking on my wall) occasionally. But the second and third night, I could hear so much door slamming and banging into something.it could have been the house keeping noises. I have no idea where the noise came from, but I woke up at 7:30am because of it and could not go back to sleep. Also you hear people walking in the hallway and feel the sensation. In one hand it's quiet as it doesn't face the big road& you don't hear people talk, but the bumping and banging noise is very disturbing. Service: Usually 2 people at the front desk, and they were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast: about 10.50 Euro. I guess it's fair. Croissants are decent, with boiled egg station, cured meat and cheese, sausage and scrambled eggs (the only things cooked) , bread, butter, jam, fruits, yogurt. Caution: really bad coffee!! Best part: freshly squeezed orange juice! (
Decent hotel for the price
It is OK, walkable from the train station Lyon Part Dieu, and is located near to Galleries Lafayette & Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse. But to get to the tram we have to walk, around 5 minutes walk, so it is still OK. The room is a bit small, but it is clean.
Compact room with quiet aspect, as requested.
Perfect stay
Very a great hotel close to the train station
Dissapointed with first impressions and with check in staff As if we were an inconvenience to him and unwelcoming Some staff were better during our stay but it’s all about that first experience
Good location
It ıs very closed to gar station. The hotel staff is very kind. The receptionist helped ua to find a rental car.
A bit depressing
A disorderly hall welcomes you, a slot machine at the left of the entrance and cheap chairs strewn across the aisle. A friendly gang of youngsters at the front desk check you in, in atmosphere more conducive to a frat get.-together than a 145 euro hotel. The room was cold, the liquid soap bottle half empty

Hôtel proche de la gare et d’un centre commercial. Quartier avec beaucoup de bureaux donc assez calme. Chambre propre mais quelques endroits avec de la poussière. Traces de moisissures dans la douche. Personnel très aimable et réactif.
